That reminds me, her friend Dan Olson aka Folding Ideas made a fan edit of the Go T ending, and it is glorious

Sure, the Starbucks Cup is an easy go-to. But, I'd suggest that mistakes like that can happen on even the best of productions. I'm pretty sure we have a TV Tropes page of mistakes and gaffs in the most classic of films. North by Northwest has a shot of a kid covering his ears before the gun goes off. But that film (last I heard anyway) is still considered a classic.

I think "Dany just forgot about the fleet" is more indicative of the specific problems going on since that's 1) not just 'any old mistake that can happen on any production' and 2) gets to the heart that the WRITING is the problem while the production aspects seem to be still as good as ever, if just built on a bad writing foundation.

It should bennoted the water bottle one in involved two different water bottles during the same scene.

I think a construction truck could be seen in the LOTR. It happens all the time, it would've been ignored if the season wasn't shit.

And dear sweet merciful Mother of God was this season shit.

Funnily enough, I see a lot of people pointing the veiled sexism of Daniela turning evil at the last minute, but far less pointing out the very blatant sexism of Brienne defining moment this season being crying over a man.

Which is particularly odd because, while most of the issues people had with Daniela had little to do with her gender and everything to do with her being the offspring of one of the worst kings to ever rule Westeros, never mind the fact that her so called dynasty was established by foreign conquerors and lasted about 300 years (when some of the other families had history strecthing back millenia), while the primary characterization point of Brienne is her challenging the mysogynistic traditions of her society.

Granted, I think Emilia Clarke is the second worst actress on this show (the very worst is Kit Harrington) and I never liked her intepretation of Daniela while Brienne is my favorite character alongside Jamie and Oberyn and the way the writers treated her left me    PISSED BEYOND BELIEF!!!

It's Daenarys, I've been calling the show version Daniela as a very petty gesture to mentally dissasociate the two.

Same reason I call Jon Snow João das Neves.

I was pissed about Brienne, believe me, but she doesn't have enough focus for me to decry it as a major flaw when problems like Dany, Jamie, Jon, Tyrion, and Bran were waved in my face like the gif of Ramsay wiggling the sausage.

Brienne was no longer the hero of her own story, but support in carrying out Jamie's for... no goddamn reason. Bran literally does fuck-all for two/three seasons and then gets to be king because we lack anyone else. Tyrion fails Dany repeatedly with out consequence because Dany needs to fail, not Tyrion. Jon stopped being a character and became a buffer for Dany's growing problems.

Dany herself followed the plotted line and fuck all development. Arya did... absolutely nothing after AMAZING build up in the previous episode. Like... of all of the FEW things I liked from E5, Arya's build up (minus the Death Pale Horse bullshit) was FANTASTIC!

Sansa is the only one I really cared about in the end because she was the Lone Sane Man. And even THAT gets disputed a lot.

I don't think a single storyline in the final season really came out well.

Also, how about we talk the fact that Arya spent God knows how long learning all those assassin skills and shapeshifting tricks only for her to be reduced to another warrior like everyone else.

'Cause I don't know 'bout you, but I was expecting some Assassin's Creed shit, not her becoming pretty much like everyone else.

Or how about all of Bran's Green Seer's powers being basically a few tricks with crows.

Or "that line" from Sansa.

Mind, I'm not angry with the final being season shit because I'm a weeb, I've got experience with this, and I've jumped ship way back in Season 5 when I saw this Gecko Ending coming, so I'm mostly feeling smugly vindicted.

Not lacking in sympathy, mind, just not in grief myself.

But Jamie and Brienne are characters I hold close to my little fat heart, and seeing them treated like this felt like catching up with an old friend and finding out they're dating an abusive asshole.

It kinda irritates me that even Lindsay is planning a GOT video… Half of Youtube has been GOT videos lately. And I'm one of maybe twelve people on the planet who hasn't watched a single episode of GOT.

I haven't either but there are other YTers to watch in the meantime so I'm good.

Plus, with how thoroughly and entertainingly angry she was, it's probably gonna be one of her best spite-fueled videos.

Big Picture actually also did his own take on finale, where he called the finale "The Right kind of ending on paper":

I think a construction truck could be seen in the LOTR.

I think I've heard that claim repeated since 2002, I still haven't seen proof of it.

It's a car

This is the scene in question. It's pretty hard to see as it just looks like something making dust and smoke and could be literally anything.

That is actually a well known phenomenon called selective attention. We tend to focus only on the important things in a scene, so that something unexpected can completely pass our notice.

This is a well known experiment:

…Nothing to do with that, but I recently stumbled upon a youtuber called Rowan Ellis, who focuses on LGBT+ representation in media. I wonder if she's related to Lindsay… probably not since she's British, but she might be a distant cousin or something, who knows…

A quick trip to Wikipedia shows that Ellis is so common as a surname, it even has it's own dedicated page. I think it is safe to say, then, that these two Ellisses are not related whatsoever.

Last name: Ellis. This ancient surname of many spellings, is a "crusader" import into Europe from the Holy Land. Recorded as Elliss, Elix, Ellice, Eles, Elias, Heelis, and many other forms, it derives from the Greek "Elias", itself from the Hebrew "Eliyahu", and meaning "Jehovah is God". In Wales this surname absorbed forms derived from the Welsh personal name Elisedd, a derivative of elus ‘kindly’, ‘benevolent’.

It is clearly a very ancient and common name.

I remember I used to wonder if Mike Ellis, who used to be a part of CA, was related to Lindsay Ellis. They're not, and from what i've heard regarding Mike, she's probably glad of that.
