That mention of Penny being what pissed Remnant off was meant to be ironic, btw.
Those who have no right to wish are quick to cause destruction. While I'm at it, here are all the locations we've got thus far:
- The Docks: The site the characters are meant to start at.
- The Boat / The Ocean: The premises of a ship sent to help the citizens of Vale evacuate the Grimm-infested city; currently en route to Mistral.
Is Abel referring to Haley or another green-haired Huntress with a wide grin on her face?
Haley, ofc.
Those who have no right to wish are quick to cause destruction.Wait, bruh, did you advance us forwards several hours with your latest post? Like, just checking that that was what happened to prevent confusion.
Yeah; sry about that. Got a bit eager.

Those who have no right to wish are quick to cause destruction.Just fixed it for everyone.
Those who have no right to wish are quick to cause destruction.Hey, Honest-what's your time zones?
Good to be backWell, I'm on here with Commissar Sunny Daiz.
Boy howdy, that all just happened.
I think when everyone is upset with your character's abilities as soon as you enter the tavern, that is a sure sign you should re-roll your character unless you wanna risk some drama.
I don't want to risk drama, I'm already not having fun with this.
So I'm of a mind to simply retire this character right now while the game is just starting and make a new one if I can.
I mean I'm kind of into having a character with a profoundly fucked up semblance like that on the Team, it opens up neat shit.
Or did you, like, intend to have her be liked or something with mind control?
I was cribbing off the D&D Paladin's Aura Of Courage, so I thought it was, "Here, have a morale boost, +2" the AoE.
Clearly, I wasn't seeing the same thing as someone else might have.
I suppose, what I could do with it is make it easily shaken off, but at this point I think the whole thing it fucked.
What I definitely hadn't intended for it, on my first post, was it to touch the P Cs. I felt I implied that she wasn't going near them with it but when people played it that way I went along with it cause I didn't want to raise a fuss.
Then a fuss was raised and I was like, "Well, damnit. I have other character ideas anyway."
Edit: Thinking on it, I would also think it relates to the pop culture I absorb. I read a lot of book where someone with empathetic powers uses them to send feel-good vibes at upset people and this is treated as positive as long as they don't do it for their own personal gain.
So clearly, I'm writing from a completely different stand point, so I should probably just write a different character and not deal with this.

I mean, one thing I can always say RP writing gets well is something Monster Hearts talks about, "Feral Gameplay," which is basically that you can never fully control a game's direction as just one player. You made a character that does a thing, but I like that everyone reacted in a way you didn't expect at all. Maybe consider sticking with it a little longer and feeling it out some more.
Well, I'm currently too much of a bundle of nerves to react, so I dunno how much of that is real life and how much of that is all this kind of imploding all of a sudden.
I say keep it.
Good to be backApologies that it came out that way. I certainly didn't mean to make you - as a player - uncomfortable or feeling singled out.
It also shows I can't read posts worth toodles. <.< Feel free to keep up the character, perhaps with a changed/reworked Semblance. She seems fun otherwise.
How do lizards fly?Well, I certainly didn't want her Semblance to be imposing, so it might be simple enough to add an opt-out option to it. You feel it knocking, and one doesn't answer.
I think that mind control, emotion control, what-have-you is a) a pitfall in regular writing (ie very hard to write well and very hard not to use as a crutch/Idiot Ball/what-have-you) and an absolute no in RPs where you're not supposed to take over other people's characters. There's a reason why most RPs deny characters with mind control/mind influence abilities, or have them nerfed to oblivion.
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundSo yes, that too. I guess I didn't consider it an abusable power because I never considered abusing it. I think that really kicks that I need to take some action and A) retire the character while it's still early, which would still be messy, or B) retcon her semblance, which would involve retcons all over, which may be messier. I already have a profile written up for A) and an idea for how to do B).
To be honest, I was expecting everyone else to let me know when they wanted the RP to progress.
I'm going to be using this account for all my posts as Psyche (for everyone else's convenience), by the way.
Anyways, make these last few posts catching up with each other count.
The truth can oft be more misleading... I'm driven by greed, guilt, rage, and despair, but I'll never try to justify haughtiness.Still waiting on GoA's response, or alternatively any sort of retcon w.r.t. Sunny's mind control-y Semblance.
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundI've been waiting for the GM to weigh in.
Sorry for taking so long.
@God_of_Awesome: I posted on Psyche to clue you in that you're still allowed to reply. In fact, I was kind of hoping that'd be the last reply of the day.
You still don't have to do it if you don't want to; just let us know whether you want to reply or skip to the next day ('cause, to be honest, the sooner the plot progresses, the better).
Those who have no right to wish are quick to cause destruction. And controlling the "exact tilt" of everyone's emotions is, of course, going a little too far; you could just say her cheerful presence wards off Grimm.
