They introduce the characters in the second episode. The first was focused on Dracula the villain.
And the three heroes didn't met until the last five minutes. And it is not like those episodes were particularly short.
i was disappointed with that.
MIAWell, the third hero, at least, didn't show until the last few minutes.
Still, gonna be interesting to see how Sypha, Trevor, and Floating Vampire Jesus interact when the new season airs.
Qui odoratus est qui fecit.Well technically Alucard did appear in the first episode.
Oh yeah, when he attacks Dracula before he can go off destroying Targoviste. Forgot about that. But then again, it was only for a few seconds, so I wouldn't really consider that a meaningful introduction.
Qui odoratus est qui fecit.Honestly, they should have skipped that part. Without it, I might have actually been surprised that the something in the tomb was a half-vampire. But thanks to this scene, I figured it out from the get go. And I have never played any of the Castlevania games, so I had no further hints than what was right in the show.
Any chance we'll see Grant?
The Protomen enhanced my life.I assume so.
Well I guess the deal is foreshadowing. If they’d just sprung some random new character on the audience in the last ten minutes of the season... that could be potentially annoying.
Finally got around to watching this and I enjoyed it. Not too familiar with the Castlevania franchise but did play a bit of the Lord of the Shadows timeline games.
The scene with Blue Fangs and the bishop reminded me of a scene between Dracula and a Brotherhood member in Lord of Shadows 2. Except while there Dracula is immune to the Brotherhood invoking the power of God against him because he has become God's chosen one, the bishop is unable to protect himself from Blue Fangs because God has abandoned him.
Might as well add that Lord of Shadows Dracula has next to nothing in common with Traditional Caslevaina Dracula.
The closest LOS Dracula gets to traditional Dracula is in Mirror of Fate.
The Protomen enhanced my life.I'd really like to know exactly what Dracula does on his "travels".
He finds spots to sunbathe.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."@416 Huh... I forget if Missing Reflection is in effect for the Castlevania universe, but that's a good one.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. If they're magical selfies made without silver, then perhaps.
No date for Season 2 yet, but the studio, Powerhouse, is featured along with Rooster Teeth on an article describing the expanding Texan animation industry, particularly that they’re producing stuff indistinguishable from anime which was a big factor in landing the gig.
Wasn't it coming out in the summer?
Yes but no set date is confirmed. Regardless it’s interesting to read about the studio and what goes into work for them.
Did the Powerhouse people in Texas actually animate the show themselves, or was this your standard "outsource overseas" job?
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?i checked. no outsourcing of any kind.
MIAWow. Good on them.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?
Except that those pilot episodes were followed directly by the first season AND they introduced the relevant characters in the first episode and then showed how they bond with each other. Castlevania has four episodes, doesn't introduce any of the main characters until way, way into the story and ends at the point at which all of them are finally in one place. Meaning they end on what would be the end of the FIRST episode of the Tail spin three-parter.
