You say that America and Kamala have "boring powers", and yet I fail to see how Luke Cage could bring anything new to the table here. Bulletproof skin isn't really something that can be represented well in a game like this.

Actually, the more I look at it, the more Carol is getting like what would happen if you put Superman into a 2D fighting game. If Supes can make it work, I don't see why Carol can't. (Just replace energy absorption with Supes' high toughness score and the energy blasts with his eye beams or freeze breath)

To me it seems like she's got a little more definition than Supes. Whereas Supes has an air of New Powers as the Plot Demands she's got unlimited energy sure but Warbird and Binary have a more narrow concept.

On Mark Gatha's death: Is there any information on that? The wiki edit was two days ago, but I don't see a source. I don't see any articles on that otherwise, either.

@Chris X: It's more than likely Delisle, she's also been voicing her in Avengers Assemble.

The voice she uses for Carol in Assemble sounds a lot like Hale's voice for Carol, a lot if people thought it was Hale there too.

I can't find anything either. That said, he retired from voice acting years ago.

Here's REALLY hoping they get Josh Keaton back as Spider-Man. I know Marvel stopped using him as Spidey after Mv C 3, but if they're apparently bringing back Eric Loomis...

On that Mark Gatha thing. Last I heard of him before this was he retired, supposedly to become a doctor at least of 2010.

Don't pay a ton of detail to Marvel games outside the Vs. series, how many games have they had since hen with Iron Man voiced by someone other than Eric Loomis, or Spidey by Sam Riegel/someone other than Keaton? Anyway he sounds identical to his MvC3 incarnation. If we have to choose I still have a lot of fondness for whoever did his voice in War of the Gems.

I wouldn't get my hopes up. Also, has anyone official confirmed it's Loomis? People have gotten who Is voicing who wrong before.

In fact, i remember a lot of us getting wrong guessess in the wait for Mv C 3.

None, that i know off.

Marvel has mainly done mobile games lately, but the ones with VA have not used Loomis or Keaton i don't think.

Oh man, this looks really, really good So, first of all, it's awesome that Megaman X is here. The idea of Ultron and Sigma working together is absolutely amazing, as I had noted the similarities between those two for the longest time. And it's always nice to see Captain Marvel.

Second, with the gems and the "slower 2vs2" talk, I was worried the game would resemble SF x Tekken, which was an overdesigned mess. But the gameplay clip actually resembles Tatsunoko vs Capcom, a game which I absolutely adore (and lacks the stupidly long combos from U Mv C 3). Makes me wish I could make a Casshern/Megaman X team.

Thirdly, a bunch of newcomers I'd like to see get in, just off the top of my head:

Pretty surprised if Thanos of all people isn't here. Hoping he'd be the real final boss.

My only wish is to have more than 30 characters in the roster. Ideally 40. I'd like to be surprised so I don't have any expectation (save for Thanos above).

I know that I will be disappointed if Dr. Strange don't use the phrase "I've come to bargain." when he uses the time stone in this game.

Personally I hope it's not too dependent on the movies for inspiration. Some nods here and there, bonus costumes based on their movie appearances, those are nice. But too much synergy is to the games' detriment.

That might not be Loomis. The new guy they're using to replace Adrian Pasdar, Mick Wingert, has a very similar voice (in that they both really sound a lot like Jack Black).

Adding to my assumption that it's Wingert is that it is definitely Grey Delisle, Captain Marvel's current cartoon VA, voicing her in that gameplay video.

I'd like to see Loki with some sorcery moves like Shang Tsung's.

I'M honestly not finding any information on that voice actor's supposed death. Anime News Network would be all over it and his Wikipedia page says nothing. Apparently, Zero's voice actor's twitter was the first to say it, so it's possible it just hasn'the been confirmed yet.

Given how the games are dubbed in Los Angeles, it's highly unlikely he would've returned to voice X anyway.

A possible character leak was made by someone named Lupinko (who has successfully leaked things before). Naturally, take it with a grain of salt.

Howard the Duck, huh? It's quite out there and seemingly unlikely because of a variety of reasons, yet at the same time I can see that.

Doesn't surprise me. They've been known to dig really deep on both sides to include lesser-known characters that fight alongside the A-listers. I appreciate that.

Also Groot for story mode is an easy way to put in the other Guardians in the story. Get some licensed music.

How accurate was his predictions for 3? I think he nailed all but 2 or 3 characters.

Seeing how Monster Hunter didn'the want to represent their entire franchise with a character who only uses a certain weapon or armor style, this will be interesting to hear what made them change their minds if this is true.
