So basically, Nintendo is saying that they can't flip Link's gender due to the fact that it would be redundant to allow a female Link when there's already a perfectly good female protagonist they're not willing to use.

Game looks pretty great but there are a few things I'm worried about

Breath of the Wild amiibo.

Yeah. It's like he wants it both ways "you have your female lead. It's Zelda. So you want playable Zelda? TOO BAD!"

They're pretty cool looking! I like the Guardian one.

Seems like the narrator is the only one that actually takes with a voice. Might be another Hyrule Warriors tease. :/

Oh well.

Which only makes me wish more that the narrator is Zelda.

Wolf Link amiibo gives you a Wolf Link partner in-game. Duuude.

Female Link is too easy to make work.

Zelda being the lead requires a lot more work. She plays as a spellcaster in general. She'd have to have her own unique story to make it worth it(the whole "just change it to saving Link" won't go that well. It didn't work for the CD-i games, and it won't work here). I agree that they can't simply just add her as the main hero either, because as I said, they gotta change the story first. Also, the whole "What will Link do?" Well, that's why you give her her own game. Not make Zelda a simple player option. Or have two unique stories in the same game.

I could've been okay with having Linkle as a different playable character(she can potentially play as Link), but it's not the same thing as an actual female Link regardless.

I'm loving the amiibo stuff.

I'm still high in the simple pleasure of one enemy picking up the dismembered arm of his comrade and trying to kill you with it.

She could be and perhaps the voice acting will only be major characters Zelda and Ganon .

Wolf Link's health is based on how much health you have left when you beat the amiibo dungeon in TP with. He'll also help you hunt in addition to combat.

So if you never even played Twilight Princess Wii U, but you get the Wolf Link Amiibo, how much health will Wolf Link even have?

I may actually have to get that game now and finish it. It's not like I'm not buried in games already.

3 hearts with no TP data, 5 with TP data.

Well, I guess that's not too big a deal. Only a two heart difference won't break things I suppose.

Wolf Link seems like something more useful in the field anyway.

Also, Guardian amiibo will have posable limbs.

I kinda hate that phrase.

Nothing is ever ruined forever, no matter how angry people get when their favourite game / series / whatever does something they don't like...

Well, I suppose it's still possible if enough people are completely turned off.

People just want reasons to shit on Nintendo. I've already seen a large amount of comments saying "NINTENDO IZ DED" and stuff like that
