What's with the costume?

I mean, it's a little different from even the one that was used in Captain America Civil War.

Ok, that's an understatement. Why the white spider symbols.

And so as to not sound too negative, this looks pretty awesome. Make the costume more accurate, and I'll have no complaints...

While I bet there will be alternate costumes unlockable, having this as a default is gonna be weird and will take some time getting used to. Like the new Megaman design for the cartoon.

not a huge fan of the design tbh, but it's a minor complaint.

This was the announcement of the conference for me; the Crash remaster/remake/whatever announcement was a close second.

Honestly, this is one of my favorite developers working on a game starring one of my favorite superheroes. It's almost like a dream. If it looks this good now, I can't wait to see more gameplay!

Also, I like Spidey's new threads.

I haven't really played Imsoniac's games much AND I've sort of been jaded to Spidey as a character in recent years and yet I can't help but kind of anticipate this game.

I guess spider-man videogames having a big presence in my youth must be part of it.

So, is that Yuri Lowenthal playing Spidey? Sounds like him.

This may have been my E3 highlight right now.

I didn't notice but Lowenthal definitely has the sort of boyish voice that would be perfect for Spidey.

Certainly sounded like it to me.

Oh god I hope they can change the white symbol to black or something before release. It's so glaring it makes the costume look almost incomplete.

Looks like Mister Negative's in the game since Spidey is fighting the Inner Demons in the trailer.

The costume looks like a fusion of his Civil War and Amazing Spider-Man 1 outfits.

I actually kinda like it, but yeah the emblem should have been black.

You know they will have 50 other Spiderman costumes as unlockables and DLC.

Anyway I am intrigued, Insomniac has a great taste for creative weaponry and it will be interesting to see how many varieties of web skills show up.

I most hope they combine Spoderman 2's web system with The Amozing Spoderman's web rush mechanic.

Oh, and it looks like we got some Parkour shit going on.

And Insomniac? I may be mistaken, but is this their first licensed game? Certainly was not expecting this.

Sony put out another great E3 this year with lots of teasing and surprises. Here's hoping the games live up to the hype.

What is the web swinging mechanic?

I don't understand the question. "What is the web-swinging mechanic?" Presumably, it's swinging from a web. I don't know what other answer you're looking for.

Is it good swinging or shitty swinging where you stick to clouds.

The physics based swinging in Spider Man 2 is the main reason people remember it. That and Mysterio.

Didn't even go two pages before someone brought up the swinging from two. :p

and pile driving petty thieves off the top of the Empire State Building.

Looks good. I haven't played a Spiderman game since Ultimate Spiderman, but it does look good.

All this needs is Spider-Man 2's swinging system and I'm sold. Looks like it has something similar, judging from the shot of him swinging.

Don't know about you, but I think that costume's supposed to be a combination of the normal red/blue costume and the symbiote suit. Just imagine everything but the whites of the costume being pitch black.

This is giving off strong Spider-Man PS 1 and Shattered Dimensions vibes for me. Also, am I the only one who likes the white spider symbol? I think the suit as a whole looks awesome and it's great that they're taking cues from Holland!Spidey.

EDIT: Can't wait to waste my life on the Trope page when it goes up, but also very sad that I don't have a PS 4 for this and the Crash remasters. ;^;

Well some of that looked like it would be in the actual game.

As weary as I am of Spider Man games, the aesthetic, that leaping through a busy office section... that was cool. What's the story, and why is the Spider-Symbol white now?
