Gameplay details with some interesting implications...
Look at that smug smile. He knows you're dying to learn more.
Also apparently all three trailers for Death Stranding have been actual scenes/cutscenes from the game itself. That would certainly explain why nothing makes sense, if we're being given random scenes from the game out of order, as opposed to videos intended to be trailers.

yeyKojima doesn't believe in spoiling if he has the chance.
As for the rest... the theme of the game is connections. He's talked about multiplayer as a interesting idea, since the whole connection bits. This also means that we've been playing into it as well, since we're all connecting over the game and discussing ideas and theories.
We've been played like a damned fiddle!
Pretty much the only thing they could confirm is that the underwater scene is a minigame you get when you die, which doesn't result in loss of progress
Not sure this is a good idea, but I guess we'll see
I'm pretty skeptical of this— The game was in pre-production when the first trailer was released

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I understand Kojima's comment about Ropes and Stick,is never something that hard,Stick is clearly Guns and letal gameplay, and Ropes is something that we will use to bind enemies and another players to our side, basically fulton recovery from Peace Walker and Phanton Pain, the game will encorage non letal progress .

Ropes. You meant "ropes?"
Good god I hope you meant ropes and I'm not mis-remembering the actual quote.

PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyI was mostly joking with the Fiddle thing. I found it amusing and wanted to share it.
Anyway, I'm hopeful for the game.
I'm also hopeful for Star Wars Episode 8.
I'm hopeful for a lot of things.
Edit: Dumb thing◊

That works way too well.
More Yong. Summary of recent news and some theorizing.
His conclusions are quite plausible, I think. If Sam gets a new handprint every time he dies, that tells us something about the first Trailer.

Nope.
Sorry, I couldn't resist. Nah, you're good.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!New analysis video, lots of interesting connections here
I like the theory that the camera only sees what Norman sees, and that the Baby lets Norman see the creatures. Getting the baby is when Norman's scanner activates, so it stands to reason it lets people detect things of a paranormal nature.
yeyIs it weird to me that if this game turns out to be flop, I kind of think Kojima deserves it for his Hollywood fanboyism? I mean whole David Hayter replacing(and attempting it twice before) is just kind of dick move to me, plus it shows to me lack of understanding about how voice acting works because he wants essentially amateur voice actors instead of professional ones
Since what people have said about him over the years, I don't think he'd care. He's more than a bit out there with his ideas, the only grounding thing being his team and what is practically possible (be it technologically or business wise).
Si Vis Pacem, Para PerkeleI'm just starting to feel like Death Stranding is mostly an excuse to meet a lot of hollywood people
Is it any weirder than when the Goosebumps FMV game somehow cast Jeff Goldblum?
I do think the game is an excuse for him to just experiment, for good or ill. And being as opportunistic as possible.
Si Vis Pacem, Para PerkeleIf nothing else, this has shown me that Kojima sucks at advertising.
This song needs more love.Isn't that what everyone already knew from the MGS 2 bait and switch thing?
I mean, its one thing to be surprising and another thing to be misleading
As far as I'm concerned, Death Stranding is a Kojima thing that would be ignored had it been directed by anyone else. This could be a good game, but Kojima's vague way of talking about it and videos that over-analyse the trailers (no offence meant to those who enjoyed them, althogh I found YongYea's to be blatantly padded) mean I will bring my expectations down.

As you said, it's a "Kojima thing". If it isn't at least an entertaining trainwreck all hope is lost.
Si Vis Pacem, Para PerkeleTroy Baker and Emily O'Brien are getting fultoned into the game.
(To me, this kind of feels heartwarming in a meta sense when you realize the last time Troy Baker appeared in a Kojima game, it was as Revolver Ocelot, who was established as being fiercely loyal to Big Boss. In other words, Troy is being the Ocelot to Kojima's Big Boss.)
...or Hideo Kojima's cinephilia is putting in overtime.

Fourth Explosion sounds vaguely like Third Impact...
