Killed Barbatos 149 times. Didn't get nearly enough bones, but oh well.

Used CS to ressurect my team during the last battle since I didn't feel like playing it longer than necessary now that I'm out of apples, but I think I would have managed it with two Luvias, both of my two tries went surprisingly smoothly. Agree that post-boss scenes were kinda abrupt, but overall I liked the story of this event. Welcome to my team, Gray!

Currently at 92 missions, everything other than bladed insects is mostly done.

So in the aftermath of this, how long did it take to kill Barbatos since first release?

Were we faster or slower than the JP-timeline when they had their turn two years ago?

Slower. Much slower. Barbatos nearly died the first day, requiring they up the HP on it so it wouldn't take so fast and risk crashing the servers again. The OG HP was 20 Million, so they upped it to 50 Million, with their response being "It's magical power increased from grief". The average amount of deaths was 619 Barbatos dying per second.

The JP side demanded more and more from Barbatos. They took a page from Mikazuki.

We were tickling Barbatos in comparison to the initial release for Japan.

That fight wasn't so bad.◊ Bit annoying, but so long as the backline had more buffs and Gray wasn't dead it didn't matter.

Could probably have been faster about it with something like Jack and plugsuiting in Beni for buff removal immunity if needed but eh. This was more thematic.

I guess I got about 80-ish kills on Barbatos. Then used the 1000 day quartz to fail the gacha once more. I bet no one's thought of this before, but FGO's gacha is fucking atrocious.

Final boss went better than expected. As in, I didn't have to use my CS to revive, so that was nice I suppose. Now to finish off the rest of these missions.

Just beat the final boss. I've heard dreadful things and it being That One Boss, but things went smoothly. Bosses with high hit counts are just asking to get the Bull. That and high hit counts means more NP for Hundred Faces which means more Arts resist down and crit down which means more damage and survival. Hundred Faces really is the best 3* Assassin.

Now, just have to finish up 20 more quests and I'll be done.

Yeah, I probably should make use of Asterios more often considering how good his NP is at weakening enemies.

Two missions left.

Then it I'll grind bronze currency until I can get all the important stuff from the shop before the event ends.

I'd rather they stop making annoyingly difficult to loop 90+ nodes. Only bothered with this one because finished 2/3 point ladders already and with the hogwarts uniform Berserker Musashi can get enough refund to loop the last two waves.

I'm not concerned with 3t looping 90+ nodes given how good their drop return is (though that's nice too), I'm concerned with consistent clears I don't need to supervise/pay close attention to. To take the three from this event:

1. Assassin Node—Used Nastya NP to clear wave 1. Not perfectly consistent to clear, but then it's just facecard and she ONLY used NP charge, NP wave 2, beat on wave 3 then NP. The slowest one; would probably be fine with plugsuit setups if I'd ever get around to Chen Gong. Still, no supervision needed.
2. Zerker node—Ao E pretty much anyone wave 1; plugsuit in Spaceshtar.
3. Caster node—my only AoE rider is pretty much Europa (I think I could raise NP 2 Marie which wouldn't help either). So what did I do? Sitonai and summer BB. But this can't be automated because BB can come in t1 (and I also need to use Castoria buffs early) or t2, and cards can't be locked if I haven't gotten Sitonai's arts yet... so there's no consistency in approach.

That is what I don't want out of 90+.

I beat Mnenmosyne by following Rexlent's example and using Reines (taken from a support) and Merlin. Reines would protect Merlin from Mnemosyne's damage with her NP and beat up the da Vincis going after Gray, Merlin would heal the other two and charge their NPs, while Gray is the beatstick.

I had Kiritsugu and Mash in reserve along with a Heracles as the anchor. After that it was just a slow and steady grind to wear away at Mnemosyne's health while making sure that its NP didn't go off.

By the end of the fight, I only lost Reines and Merlin and Heracles never took the field. Kiritsugu got the last hit in with his NP on turn 10.

I also got super lucky, since Mnemosyne never used any of her skills to screw me over.

Okay, what's the strategy on this Challenge Quest...Do I hit El-Melloi first cuz he's weaker, or what?

Waver takes reduced damage so long as Alexander is on the field.

Also, generally you want to kill the one that's actually a threat if you're going to pick. Lots of times, the AI support caster won't be that huge a problem.

Yeah, I figured cuz El-Melloi's NP can only inconvenience while Alexander's the real damage-dealer. But El-Melloi can also buff so...

Mnenmosyne fight looked worse on paper than it was in practice. It went pretty easily, even tho I went with a team clobbered with not a lot of though.

Mnenmosyne was a good program, she just wanted to help in her own way.

That's as bad as clustering Waver with all of the Zero characters.

Alright, Challenge Quest done!

The difficult-to-loop nodes (the Japanese fanbase calls them irregular quests) are purely a Castoria counter. Skadi looping required enough investment that DW clearly wasn't worried about it, but Castoria making it very easy for almost any Arts attacker to loop was too much for them. I'm not too upset about them, because it also helps give ST servants some role in farming, rather than just the one Ao E servant and two support Casters.

I really hate Caster nodes, I end up forced to use Summer Kiara because I have no other options. My gold Ao E Riders are Martha and Marie. That is it. And yes, I missed all the welfare Riders. Every single one.

Maybe, but they started before Castoria's release (at least by the Summer IV rerun), and literally the only reason they seem to have been introduced if they had her in mind is because they realised they couldn't stop Castoria looping the same way they stopped Skadi looping, by dropping one of the enemies out of the first two waves. Flip side is they're better to farm, which I appreciate.

I don't mind so much that they're harder to 3t, I just dislike when they get particularly weird or convoluted in their type setup and enemies and clearing them with any consistent approach gets frustrating.

However, I don't like that DW has an antagonistic attitude regarding farming. No, farming mindlessly should not be something where you constantly attempt to slow down and punish the players. If you want people to spend more time and effort on the game put in more fucking stuff to do.

I was able to complete the CQ with Kama bursting down Alex while Herc finishing Waver.

1 roll on class banner, got Suzuka Gozen and Gawain. Out of regular classes I'm only interested in boosting my number of Sabers (I have 6 now), so I won't roll again until Extras.
