Boooooo
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I mean, Guda Guda 5 is mostly about how the Shinsengumi assassinated one of their two leaders just because they liked the other leader better, so I think Fate/ already got to the point of portraying the mad dogs for what they really are.
Yeah, most of the Shinsengumi were kinda fucked in the head, with even the most normal of the bunch and Sole Survivor of the group, Saito, still being an assassin who cut others down for stepping out of line, and only didn't go crazier than that due to being Brilliant, but Lazy. Hell, they make it clear that for as much as Okita is a goofball and adorable, she is seriously crazy, and that the only reason she's so laidback and goofy is because Chaldea is more relaxed and the player is a kind master, whereas in a normal HGW, she's scarily ruthless, and will cut down anyone if she believes they're in her way. Hell, the only reason Hijikata is a Berserker is because his fervor for the Shinsengumi is so much he refuses to accept they lost. Aside from that though, he's not much different from Okita and Saito in terms of devotion to the Shinsengumi, the latter two have just come to accept they failed and that the Shinsengumi's time came to an end.
The Shinsengumi were truly just a group of nutcases fanatically devoted to their cause. They could be nice people off the clock, but when on the clock, they were killers first and foremost, being dogs of the Bakufu.

Vegeta: I'm back bitches!Yeah, history isn't exactly devoid of Evil vs. Evil scenarios, you know?
The Shinsengumi were a group of fanatics who were fighting to preserve the outdated feudal system of the Tokuwaga Shogunate while the Ishin Shishi wanted to elevate the Emperor so they could also further their agenda, which is exactly what happened after the end of the Meiji era.
Instead of focusing on relatives that divide us, maybe we should try to find the absolutes that tie us.Redline!Okita is a pretty good indicator of what she's like in a real Holy Grail War.
She may look cute, but she's a killer at heart.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.On a side note, Izou is just all bark and no bite, huh? Seeing him get schooled was fun.
Meanwhile Okita Alter is growing stronger.
Don't like my sweet puns?
I do like how Izou is characterized in this event. I like that he gets the spotlight a little and him bouncing off Sakamoto is very interesting.
I don't care for Okita Alter and yet half of all the dialogue options relating to her are to praise her, which is rather annoying.
So, let's hang an anchor from the sun... also my TumblrOkita catches me in a conflicting position. On the one hand, Aoi Yuuki. On the other hand, I prefer Nobu.
Avatar SourceI am on camp Okita anytime.
Why?
Two words.
Welfare Nobu
That said, there is a weird sense of nostalgia in this rerun when coming back to this event one year later...
...oh my, has it already been that long since I started playing this game?
You've been playing it for like less than a year, haven't you?
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.I started right in the middle of the "Garden of Sinners" rerun (and oh boy was I stressed out over getting Shiki once I made it past Fuyuki and found out about who that welfare was...) which was back in... late February.
That I know for a fact, since I did managed to get everything needed for Shiki despite being dropped right into the middle of the event...

That is part of his charm yes. He's prodigy that died before he could master anything so he's got a chip on his shoulder over being viewed as weak. I think it's endearing and wish the event had focused a bit more on that trauma of his, but alas.
He's still written better than Okitan though
I wonder how you'll feel about her last scene in the event, it's an.... experience

I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysx5 Same. I liked the Ryouma, Oryou and Izou trio a lot more. I think the story of the event was short so Okitan barely got any proper good interactions.

Izou is a good pomeranian, have you considered that the people he brutally murdered maybe, perhaps had it coming (/s, obviously)
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysAt least he has the bond 5 lines which messed me up
Its a sort of tragic affirmation of affection. He really needs to see a therapist.
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysReally... There's a bunch of characters who offer to murder some poor bastard for you like Mori in FGO itself, or someone like Childe from Genshin Impact, but unlike them who just treat it as a simple favor and have a life beyond that, Izou offers to do it because in his mind, it's literally the only thing he could possibly do.
He's a murderhobo, but he's a well-written murderhobo with some tragedy to him.

My murderhobo can't be this sad (then again, Childe also needs to get a therapist to unpack... everything). Wonder if there'll ever be another event or alt where he can finally get over that. He's popular DW, you know you want to~~
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysSomething I just realized about the CCC event that pissed me off- since the whole thing was retgoned and Seraphix closed down, Beckett, petty power hungry twit that he is, is still alive.
Well, was until the alien god did its thing.
Regardless of your opinion of the last American election, we can all agree on one thing- The Chinese Communist Party can choke on scrotes!I'm pretty sure Beckett is too low ranked normally to do his thing. He's that type that thinks he should be in charge but in reality he's a small fry, isn't he?
Secret SignatureI'm still at the start of this event, but I find Okita Alter really endearing. She tries her best to help despite having no memories, and I appreciate that. Do your best Okita-chan!
I knew Izou was a bastard, didn't know he was shinsengumi enemy in specific.

That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Alekos- he seemed to have some degree of authority, because I recall the testimony thing of one of the victim's mentioned Beckett came to power after the director and vice-director died, so I think he was something like third or fourth in line. Regardless of his actual ability, I find the idea of someone so willing to make a bad situation worse for the sake of personal power still walking around out there troubling.
Especially if he found a group of survivors during the bleaching. Because let's face it, that hamster humping bastard would do it all over again without a second thought.
Regardless of your opinion of the last American election, we can all agree on one thing- The Chinese Communist Party can choke on scrotes! All the more reason that it's a good thing he's dead.

You could say she's a Shinsen-gummi, eh?
