It's also a pretty good justification for being Avenger: I am literally possessed by the manifestation of a grudge. That's kind of how they work; would be pretty hard to imagine Yoshitsune's desire for vengeance entirely on its own is that strong.

I just find it lame that there's a vague curse spirit that has to possess everyone with legit grievances to some assholes.

Thing is, Jalter is another case of taking the entire desire for vengeance and manifesting it as its own entity; Dantes we're getting the vengeance side of an entire revenge story where that vengeance was obtained; Lobo is the same sort of "unrelenting seeking of vengeance". And Gorgon is a giant monster. The odd one out is Nobu, but Nobunaga's retribution was also extreme.
The odd part about summoning a self-powered Yoshitsune is that like... they never really had chance to act on it.

Ushi hiding large amounts of hate deep inside her was made very explicit during Babylonia, i just wasn't the focus because of all the other shit going on. Glad she finally got a whole event to explore her character, she deserves it.

For clarification, Yoritomo and Yoshitsune executed Yoshinaka after he attempted to kidnap the Emperor and commit treason against the Minamoto family to start a new government with himself at the head. He was already a jerk who textually abused his servants, so the treason was the last straw. Along with, you know, already being a perfectly legitimate reason to have him killed.
I swear, I will never understand the attempt to make Yoshinaka of all people into a hero figure.
It's been fun.

I have no idea what's going on in this event, though I've been told that the mallet has thus far been used to give us a bunch of chibis and swap the age of Jalter and Jalter Lily, on top of bopping Ushi giving us this problem, but I have gotten far enough the mission side of the shop is no longer a signpost.

I only know of it from Touhou, but on top of making things bigger or smaller, it apparently has the ability to create stuff out of nothing? It's been translated as the Miracle Mallet for a reason.

In the tale of Isshun-boshi, the mallet was used to either bring great wealth to him or make him grow to a normal human size after he obtained it from an oni who dropped it. Otherwise it is sort of a mystical item of ambiguous powers outside of being associated with Daikokuten.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!
Will be nice to get full TLs, but it fits with what the bond CE looks like.
