I had to burn a command seal on him. Jerk.
Empireo and the second Kalasutra + Samghata duel were my toughest fights, I think. There've been several times I've had to fall back on my last-ditch fingers-crossed strategy of letting Hijikata show up from the last back rank slot, grab the crit stars everyone else left behind, and go nuts with them.
Martha laughed in Caster of Limbo's face, though. That was fun.
The Kalasutra + Samghata fight was the hardest for me. Empireo was taken care of by my Archuria relatively painlessly. Sorcerer boss also wasn't a big problem as long as you could drain his NP gauge.
Yeah, the two Hells was the toughest for me as well.
And how is that a "duel" when they're both attacking at once, may I ask?
(Yes, I know... we're bringing Servants to "back up" [read: "fight the battle for"] Musashi in all cases so it isn't really a "duel" in any case.)
Really it's forcing Musashi into your team that's most irritating about those fights. She's only really useful in like, two of them. In the rest she got KO'ed early... sometimes even in the first turn! It's basically just having you fight a boss when down a team member.

BTW, it being a topical subject right now, after digging about a little I found the movie Makai Tenshô with (most likely poor) English subtitles.
So yeah, if you end up liked Shimousa and want to see its inspiration, give it a look. It was released during the height of the Samurai movies and every review I came across it sung its praises fo it.
So I noticed that they kind of namedropped something big from the next storyline, namely, the Lostbelts, but they called it "Missing Belt".
Suppose that's going to be the official name once we get that far in the story?
No, JP Shimousa also spells it as Missing Belt instead of Lostbelt.
Shimousa over. Now everything is sad.
Finally got to watch Moonlight/Lostroom. Galahad wasn't nearly as angry as the internet would've led me to believe.
TFW you’re ready for a summoning campaign but it’s not here yet.
[DATA LOST]But wouldn't Kiyohime burn her Master for two timing?
It's only two-timing if you're not being honest about it.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!Trudging in Shimousa, finally arrive in Shuten and Raikou's part. I remember that TPPR complained that Raikou slaughters the 10k strong army, and after seeing it I have to say that that's the point. The entire time the soldiers got boasted as the veterans of Shimabara, Munenori basically says, "This guys are definitely genuine badass, and not a bunch of scrubs who barely win against a mob of starving women, children, elderly, and barely-armed-farmers who only lose because of one traitor. They did more than just impaling babies, I swear."
Even the Americans did more against the Celts in their Singularity despite the usual 'older is better' thing going on.
This is also considering that they were being led as lambs to the slaughter in hindsight since Yagyu is one of the antagonists, so with that in mind, with no measurable amount of troops to defend the city, the ritual could go unabated. Not that really mattered since the Sorcerer screwed up by poorly naming the castle in a case of an accidental pun.
[DATA LOST]Considering Swordmaster Servants are even more hardcore, it’s honestly not far fetched that someone with Raikou’s skill set can steam roll regular humans, even thousands
It can also be a case of Fake Ultimate Hero status for those who know the truth about the Shimabara rebellion, or maybe even Pay Evil unto Evil from a narrative perspective considering that the only survivor is a newbie who did not fought in Shimabara.

Instead of focusing on relatives that divide us, we should find the absolutes that tie us.Well, considering that Raikou isn't completely human...
My point wasn't really that Raikou shouldn't be able to do something like that, just that the whole scene felt bit hollow. Like she didn't really deserve a scene what goes like "Look at all these soldiers who have gathered here to- Aaaannddd they're gone". Or maybe it felt too predictable.

Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!I guess they wanted to show it on-screen instead of just having someone mention something you didn't even know was happening.
Do those guys even have means to harm a servant? Like legendary weapons or magical enhancements?
Also, is Raiko portrayed somewhat seriously in Shimosa? Looking back, she's been portrayed as a joke right from her first appearance. It's kinda sad really.
Yes, Raikou is indeed treated with more seriousness here, and her mother instincts are played more for drama than comedy such as when the kids are kidnapped.
Instead of focusing on relatives that divide us, we should find the absolutes that tie us.Shuten-Doji is also treated entirely seriously. Despite being an oni, she's never really considered threatening aside from vague warnings by Kintoki, but here she really shows her demonic nature when she captures you, acts all casual and friendly, and without any warning tears a hole in your belly and starts playing with your guts while saying somewhat sensual things before leaving you there bleeding in agony for the rest of the party to find you.

Oh my god, Empireo is the worst boss to fight. Stop charging your NP so much, you jerk!
