Wat?
So even if she's confirmed to be based on actual adult of similar stature, she's still a loli.
Ok...
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Didn't the character designer or someone say that they wanted to make her a loli character? Saying they based her off her VA seems like backtracking.
And besides, the term loli as used in popular culture refers to a specific female body type of being small, looking young, and lacking in secondary sexual characteristics. If they based her on her VA, that just means her VA would be considered a loli.

How about we cut the subject short? This feels Flame War-y.
Yeah, change the subject before people get caught in their feelings.
A cruel, sick joke is still a joke, and sometimes all you can do is laugh.>Takeuchi being a creeper
Arc is based on this obscure model he was fascinated by, you can tell by the haircut
Jeanne is literally based on his thirstiness of this one French exchange student he knew in college
Reminder that Shuten being physically based on Aoi Yuuki is purely fan speculation and the official designer comment does nothing to hint at. Instead it gave the impression that Raita didn't know who the voice actress was going to be when he was designing it.
Considering the whole Saberface Syndrome thing, the resemblances couldn't have extended far past their hair styles. And maybe their nationalities.
Citation needed.

A cruel, sick joke is still a joke, and sometimes all you can do is laugh.I don't have any for the Jeanne part, but here's Arcueid's.
Well, can't help but wonder what my reaction would be if I found this in my friends list.◊
Hopefully this person's passing was a peaceful one.
o_o
A cruel, sick joke is still a joke, and sometimes all you can do is laugh.Eh, I'm not really a fan of Takeuchi's art, but I would say 'based a foreign vampire off a foreign model he liked the look of' isn't stalking. That doesn't sound particularly fair.
^^Damn. I hope they're at peace.
It's been fun.Especially when the man himself said his memories of the image are rather vague.
I also wanted to point out that, unless Japanese Law is severely behind the times, using someone's likelihood for anything without their permission is a crime and Aoi Yuuki could have sued the shit out of Notes and Delightworks, therefore chances are she gave her permission for the art to be used in-game.
Yuuki Aoi voices the character, recently voiced an additional version of the character, and routinely makes Fate-related appearances. This was her announcement post for Oniland, too. Barring studio abuse or other behind-the-scenes things, it seems like she's entirely okay with it.
Honestly, I don't blame people for not liking Shuten's design, but she's not a child. However, part of the problem comes from her final ascension art, which is horribly proportioned - her head is too big relative to her body, which does make her look like a child in that art piece.
It's been fun.Her Caster artwork is way better...relatively speaking.
And London done. Wish we could have participated in the Golden Lightning Battle between Kintoki and Tesla, but alas.
And I could listen to Tomokazu Sugita ham it up all day as Solomon lol.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Pretttty sure the artist was like "I was asked to draw a loli baba and I was super happy about it!"
So yeah. But fine, call her a petite adult if you want.

I've literally never heard that explanation. Everybody has said she's based on Aoi Yuuki.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. It's Raita's artist comment for Shuten's material profile.

Oh, well ok then.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. The details written in the Ink-Suit Actor bullet of her folder in the Assassin's page says that she shares the same height and style of hair as Aoi Yuuki; I saw a picture of Aoi and, yes, she does resemble Shuten-douji but I can understand if someone digresses.

Instead of focusing on relatives that divide us, maybe we should try to find the absolutes that tie us.Comun with that MVP sauce
Jeanne is lost in my memory on some BL thread when Apocrypha novels were being released so of course grain of salt since I can always be wrong
I should have added that calling Takeuchi a stalker is a bad joke on my part, of course he didn’t
Oh shit just realized what Muffins post meant, damn that’s awful for that person

You'll forgive me for not expecting Japan to be the most precise when it comes to drawing terminology divisions between "loli" and "petite woman". Regardless of what Raita calls her, it comes down to how you personally view her art. (After all, Raita also considers Raikou's art attractive.) But really, this is the kind of difference of opinion where I think the only thing to do is to move on.
Is it just me, or do the Christmas stages give a crapton of Bond points? I'm considering sneaking a Chaldea Lunchtime in.
It's been fun.
Both things don’t have to be mutually exclusive
Ibaraki you can argue is more that because she doesn’t have the actual VA impression mixed in
But yeah it’s there with Shuten. Idk which is creepier that or it looking genuinely close to Aoi Yuuki. Its still funny but like in the way you laugh at Takeuchi for basing his blonde heroines on actual people he stalker crushed on
Aoi Yuuki is great tho
