The current banner doesn't really interest me, and I have more than one whale on my friend list who I can rely on for Merlin. The only banner servants who interest me atm are King Hassan and MHXA.

I might do a ten roll on the 24th for the Miyu CE. I've used several supports with it and that thing is like little Halloween Devil on crack.

Yeah, that's basically it. I would say that the character writing tends to be pretty good, on the whole, so you have that going for you too.

After the disappointment that was throwing 50+ Quartz and 7 tickets at the Mordred banner for nothing, I threw two single pulls at the Scathacth banner and I got…Astolfo…yay?

Add to that the fact that this isn’t a PVP game but a PVE one with a support system and welfare servants so F 2 P players and moderate spenders can enjoy the game without feeling ripped off or overwhelmed.

Also, and tying to the first point, the game has a good single player story (at least, in general) that makes you feel connected with all of the characters in the game. I for one consider that a refreshment from the plethora of multiplayer games of late.

Yeah, basically. I was talking to a friend of mine who plays a lot of gacha games, and he was basically considering dropping Granblue Fantasy despite the huge time and effort investment he's put into it because he hit a slow period and now feels like he can't keep up in the multiplayer raids.

Every time I consider starting another Gacha game I take a look at just how much effort is it to keep up with the metagame and immediatly go "fuck this, I'm out".

And now that we're on the subject, which character you guys had no interest in and the story made it a priority for you to summon?

Mine was Sanzang, her Heroic Sacrifice at Camelot just broke my little heart into tiny, bite-sized pieces.

@raziel: You wouldn't happen to be referring to Call "130$-for-the-deluxe-edition" of "no-single-player-campaign" Duty: Black Ops II, would ya?

Also, Mordred actually topped Artoria on my priority list after her appearance in London, as well as Ibaraki in Onigashima and Halloween and Nitocris in Camelot.

Rider Mordred remains the only servant I actually spent money for.

Jalter, Marie (did it), Tesla, Rama, Bedi (auto-did it by completing the story), the Rins, Quetz, Anna (did it), and most importantly, Nightingale. I guess Asterios, Euryale, Cursed Arm and Sanzang would also count but I already had them by the time I reached their stories.

Second Christmas event starts for NA on the 26th.

Yeah, I generally start losing interest in any game where "meta" is a big thing. It's why I fell out of League of Legends and am struggling to get back into Warframe. I want the freedom to be able to play the way I want and not have the game punish me for not playing a certain specific way. FGO is better than the majority of gacha games in that respect, even with its shit rates. Another big thing is that even if you start late or miss an event, things come back eventually. There's no such thing as a Servant you will never be able to get again. Unlike many games that have competitive events where you need to somehow keep up with the no-life whales that dominate the top of the rankings in order to get limited rewards that will never show up again.

They seem pretty content to not actually provide any method for obtaining any welfare Servants after the rerun, which is becoming really glaring now that both Halloween and Christmas have had their third event rerun.

Part of why I never went back to NA because the already missed content would bug the hell out of me.

I think they'll probably add old welfares to the RP shop whenever the next big milestone is.

That's what I'm betting on.

I actually never get into any games where multiplayer is the focus.

Call me an old-fashioned shut-in, but unless it's sharing a beer with friends and everyone playing on the same couch, I'm perfectly content with my gaming time being an utterly solitary activity.

I would like some old welfare Servants to be added, yeah... also, I would love them to add Mashu's swimsuit back. I felt bad keeping her in her battle gear during Luluhawa.

I think she's somewhere in the Babylonia banner, so just wait until the next paycheck.

No, Ishtar isn't part of the Babylon banner. She does get a new years rate up iirc and one of the download campaigns.
