I loathe these types of videos but this guy hits the nail on the head.
Of course - you shouldn't watch it or listen to anything we say prior to playing it - but in summation it's not as good as 2 story-wise.
Maybe I ought to write a fanfiction that depicts how Borderlands 3's story ought to have been...
I mean if ya want to just do it.
There’s nothing stopping you.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Procrastination and distractions are deadly.
4xAfter watching that video all I can say is that I want that hour and a half back.

Right. Forgot Zer 0 was outright in the game. My b. But, disappointed that Axton and Slavador aren't actually in the game.
90 minutes? The tool that made that vid has never seen a female nipple in person, and I will hear NO argument on the subject.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117I still kinda want Borderlands 3, to be honest - even though I know Maya and Lilith doesn't survive the game's events.
If I do get BL 3 and/or Phoenix Point, that may be where I also "make peace" with Epic Game Store. I do admit I was mad at them just because of those two games being held hostage, so to speak.
Don't stop, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need-proceed, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need!yeah, the gameplay of BL 3 is pretty good but the story is a disjointed mess and the ending is..frankly, goddamn ridiculous.
Which is a shame, because 2 and PS showed that you could actually get a decent story out of this universe if you cared to try. I guess they wanted to retgone Tales so hard they retgoned their own storytelling.
It's been fun.I blame Randy Boy.
Actually now that I remember it, didn't one of the main writers for B2 leave a while ago?
Also I recall 3 is written by the guy who wrote 1 which in itself is kind of a red flag.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I mean. 1's story was... simple. It didn't make the game great but at least it made sense. Four badasses show up on a planet that's trying to kill them at every turn. They have little backstory and they face a villain who could scarcely give a crap they exist.
That explains a lot about 3 - it tried to be like 1 while imitating the style of 2.
There's more b-tching in it than I'd like, but the core points (Lilith, Maya, Typhon, the twins) all make sense to me.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Correction there: 1's story is not simple, its just nonexistant.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."So Borderlands 3 was put on the Steam store a few days ago, but now it's actually available for purchase, at 50% off. I'm trying to figure out the different editions. Is the Super Deluxe Edition the only one that comes with the season pass?
Don't know.
3 things:
- I can officially say that Pre-Sequel is a much better game than Borderlands 3 and I'm disappointed that said game was removed from canon. TVHM's added narration is great. The writing is a lot better.
- In Pre-Sequel if you do TVHM you're supposed to ignore the side quests until right before the final mission, right? All of the enemies/missions level up with you at that point?
-
Jack's "Just Compensation" skill doesn't seem to work. It increases magazine size, but the number on the magazine doesn't change at all.Whoops. You actually have to get rid of the grenades first. :p

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Wait when was the Pre-Sequel removed from canon?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."To word that better - to my understanding the epilogue is no longer canon. There's no follow-up to what happened to Athena or explanation about the Eridian/aliens. The only canonical events were Jack getting his face scar and becoming "Handsome Jack."
Granted, I'd heard that before we got the latest DLC.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Okay choose your words better.
That doesn't mean its not canon, its just not followed up on. There's a difference.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Yeah, it's ironic that Athena of all people is the Pre-sequel Vault Hunter that's Out of Focus thanks to the other two surviving non-claptrap examples actually appearing so far.
Mee too, which is why i avoid em.

"They truly were a Aqua Teen Hunger Force"Yeah. That's not... non-canon or canon discontinuity. That's just... a plot hole or dropped plot thread. One of the most glaringly obvious issues with BL 3.
I mean, when the dropped plot is a "hey, there's a whole bunch of other Vaults and we need to go off-planet to find them" giant Sequel Hook, that's a pretty significant pruning.
It's been fun.Borderlands 3 is now live on Steam. The wait is finally over.
For anyone not playing it on a console...
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!
The main story from what I've heard. Don't expect many of the second generation Vault Hunters to make nearly an impact as the first ones did in the second game.
