So about this boycotting Borderlands 3 thing looks like there more to the story then just 2K being dicks like how it was a 10-month investigation in to Sup Matto on were he getting his leaks from because of how he able to get accurate details on characters and mechanics months ahead of Borderland 3's official reveal. or how he may have use an exploit in Twitch security that allowed Sup Matto community to datamine their way into getting thumbnail previews.

Or that he may have be offered access to a private Discord channel that included further Borderlands 3 leaked information in exchange for a $5 membership to his You Tube channel.

Seems like Take 2 doesn't even particularly care about going after Supmatto, but rather whoever he claims is leaking stuff to him from within their company.

Twitch and Discord are also both investigating him. So there’s that.

Probably due to the possibility of him trying to profit off of leaks, as mentioned by .

I thought this whole damn story smelled a little.

I did watch the video before it was taken down, as a subscriber who liked the BL3 theories he was putting out.

It was mainly him transcribing what was seen off the thumbnails. There were no glimpses of actual FL4K gameplay. Most videos are him talking while playing a game of BL2, with the occasional image appearing on the screen when necessary.

Here's SupMatto himself explaining what happened. In the video, he openly admits that he is not innocent, and he explains the whole situation. There were wild rumors of Randy having a private army of thugs. It appears those were actually Take Two private investigators who merely questioned him.

There was one video where he reeled off a list of usernames that appear to be his main sources.

What the investigation appears to be centered around is that there's one insider source SupMatto consults with that he absolutely refuses to name, to protect said insider's identity. Take Two wants to investigate who that source is.

What I am suspecting is that SupMatto has been getting info sent to him by somebody working at Gearbox themselves, info that they are legally not allowed to share.

Personal opinion: His narration style and content are excellent. I enjoy his videos. But he has shared public info that is supposed to be private, and therefore the company has the right to investigate him.

On a lighter note, Claptrap's new girlfriend is named Veronica◊.

Yeah, it's not all that unreasonable that Take Two would want to deal with an employee who is illegally leaking proprietary material. Of course they'd send people to contact the guy who is in contact with said employee and showing off said leaked material.

Not super hyped by the Flak trailer. It's not bad, but it didn't grab me in the same way some of the others did.

I think I'll start with Moze. I usually go with the "basic" soldier/warrior classes, and she's the closest to that.

FL 4 K is such a cool character, that barely revealed anything about his character and I don't care at all

Isn't stealth and sniper and beasts overkill? How do you specialize a strategy?

Sniper and beasts was already Mordecai, even if the "beast" was just a targeted autokill.

The obvious strategy is "squad commander". Your beasts do the heavy lifting, you go invisible and pick off stragglers.

So he wasn't beasts? Because a targeted auto-kill hardly sounds like the kind of beastmaster gameplay that FL 4 K brings to the table.

They also released the official skill trees today.

Fl4k's thing is clearly being a sniper who never gets hit, either by going invisible or having their pets tank for them.

Loving Moze and Amara's skills. Probably still gonna go with Moze, but Amara is a close second.

Unless I'm reading this wrong, Moze can get a flat +65 magazine size to any weapon. So, uh, throw that on a semiautomatic Jakobs shotgun and things are going to get real ridiculous real fast.

Actually it's so absurd that I have to wonder if it even works like that (or if they missed a % sign in the tooltip). In the Pre-Sequel, Nisha could get a flat +3 the her magazines and even that was pretty good with Jakobs.

She’s a former Vladof soldier. That sounds right.

If there's such a thing as a flat magazine increase, low-mag weapons will certainly be Rescued from the Scrappy Heap.

Frankly I'm surprised there aren't any brand-new weapon manufacturers introduced, assuming Children of the Vault is the same thing as Bandit. No idea how Atlas weapons were back in the day because I only played 2.

I think it's understandable that they have enough already, especially since they appear to be making them even more different than they were in previous games.

Also, Co V is a little different from bandit: instead of just having huge clips, they actually have unlimited clips but will overheat if you fire them too long at once.

Yeah. But basically the direct successor in terms of general gameplay and story, given how it encourages constant fire without delay for the former, and are actually from bandits for the latter.

In BL 1, Jakobs had the best damage, Hyperion had the best accuracy, etc... Atlas had the best of everything.

So a Game-Breaker manufacturer gone (temporarily) defunct in the sequel? Talk about an Obvious Rule Patch!

Well, you also destroyed it since they were the Big Bad.
