another amazing episode from Re:Zero. and it's 29:30 minutes long with no OP and ED
Bumbleby is best ship. busy spending time on r/RWBY and r/anime. Unapologetic SocialistAlso Arc 7 of the web novel started today!
"It's just like... a series of overlapping curses..." - Flower Knight DakiniCan't say I really cared about Garfiel, but at least the beef with him is over with. And Subaru can also use that shadow-hand power! Only one hand though. Still, that's a good get. And sorry I think Subaru's reason for leaving Emilia (if it's supposed to be those wall scribbles) is piss-poor.
Okay, please tell me we're going to see more of Emilia talking with Echidna.
Eh, its consistent to how Subaru acts, so I accept it. I would totally believe that Subaru would think that the best thing to do would be to vandalize the walls with encouragement notes.
The Final NameI mean, it's Echidna's house, and Echidna is pretty nasty, so who cares if it's vandalism. And in Subaru's defense, he presumably intended to get back before she woke up. Breaking a promise isn't better because it's unknown, of course, but in the end, sneaking off to write a bunch of encouraging love notes isn't even in the top ten bad things you could do, so.
It's been fun. It’s consistent, but that doesn’t mean I have to like it.
This is what I thought. Subaru intended to get back before Emilia woke up. Still a stupid thing to do, but such is our protagonist.
It's a dumb, but sweet thing to do. Probably an impulse that he didn't fully think through, but one that he had a good-hearted reason for.
It's been fun.Stupid but well intentioned actions is pretty much Subaru's MO, so if nothing else, it's in-character.
Anytime I'm watching Garfiel, I legit cannot just see and hear Bakugo and that's kind of distracting lol.
At least this episode showed that Nobuhiko Okamoto can do more than just shout. He needs more roles like that.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. His voice is super distinctive.
I'm stuck only able to hear Accelerator whenever he talks.
Honestly, Subaru's 16 and he's in love. Sneaking off to write out a bunch of messages to cheer up Emilia is one of the few "stupid teenager" things he's gotten to do in a very long time, so I'm not going to begrudge him it.
It's been fun.17 closer to 18 now.
today is Echidna's birthday and the Re:Zero youtuber Echidnut made a special video for today
Bumbleby is best ship. busy spending time on r/RWBY and r/anime. Unapologetic SocialistGod, Regulus is such a shitty internet tough guy. I love him so much. There are simply not any other isekai series out there that do villains anywhere near as well.
But yeah, voice acting was real good this ep. Fortuna's speech patterns are like Emilia's, showing us where she picked it up from. And Betelgeuse has a bunch of subtle things going on just to drive home that this is, in fact, the same person we saw in the first season, just at a very different stage in his life.
holy shit! that Regulus reveal at the end tho. love smol Emilia, she's absolutely adorable. and Petelguese is best dad, though many of his lines physically hurt me after what happens in Arc 3
also another 29:30 minutes episode with no OP or ED
Bumbleby is best ship. busy spending time on r/RWBY and r/anime. Unapologetic SocialistThe Ed technically appeared, though without the visual, at the end of this ep.
I think that both will appear after the Emilia Trial portion of the arc is done.
Watch SymphogearYeah, I love how obviously Emilia took after Fortuna.
Kid!Emilia is unbelievably adorable. Squee for all the pouts and the sneaky sneaks! And dang I really enjoyed Echidna being a sourpuss around Emilia.
It's crazy to see Betelgeuse as a non-cultist, relatively well-adjusted person. Now I wanna know what's going to crack his noggin (though he's already labeled himself as a sinner in this episode). And what is up with Emilia that he would literally get brought down to his knees just by seeing her? Curious and curiouser.
Then of course WTF a wild Regulus appears
The fact that Geuse casually mentions having an extended lifespan and Beatrice knowing him really makes me wonder what the hell is up with him.

"It's just like... a series of overlapping curses..." - Flower Knight DakiniIt might be an Ice King situation from Adventure Time where he was a decent guy but slowly got corrupted and forgot who he was.
The Final NameThat does seem like that case, and it's a damn shame. He seemed like a decent guy.
That said, oh boy, go away, Regulus.
It's been fun.Another point of interest, yep. Apparently Geuse and his posse aren't only regular humans.
At least we see ole Guese wasn't always off his rocker.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.something some people have noted is that Petelguese and Crusch has the same eyes and hair color
Bumbleby is best ship. busy spending time on r/RWBY and r/anime. Unapologetic SocialistI don't know why we have to insert spoilers but oh well. Regulus's attitude is rather fascinating when compared with his sin. He is GREEDY for attention. He gets offended when Fortuna calls him "just a man" and got angry when someone demands his name without giving him theirs first. He even stated specifically, "You are disrespecting my individuality, my authority..". I don't know how to analyze this but it does interest me

The Final Name
I think the problem is really that the episodes are already so stuffed. Thinking back on Rem would take at least a minute of screentime, which isn't nothing when the episodes are already using their full 28-minute runtimes. Still, I hope we get some more after the Sanctuary is resolved and we move to the Mansion.
I do still feel like the idea would be underdeveloped, though. It's possible, sure, but it would take a lot of development that hasn't happened yet even in the webnovel.
It's been fun.
