I wanted to find a clip of that South Park episode where they announce that Wacky Races is coming back, and all the adults run out and start stocking up on cereal like they're preparing for the apocalypse.
Youtube, you have failed me.
who else can name all the original racers and the cars they drove by heart?
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.I didn't see anything involving the Wacky Races. I saw they're going to have a Mr. Bean show, and I saw a clip for the Reboot of the Power Puff Girls, but nothing on the Wacky Races...
More concrete info please, this sounds like a rumor for now.
They literally posted the official video where it was seen, and the screencap of the exact moment. How does that sound like a rumour?
Well, can we at least get an official upfront for 2016?
"We be we baby!"If they are going to reboot Wacky Races, one thing I think would be cool to see is the classic Cartoon Cartoon alumni become the new racers.
Agree. This is a chance to do a modern nostalgia trip.
Though was the original Wacky Races an all-star show, or were the Dick Dastardly and Penelope Pitstop shows spinoffs of Wacky Races?
Edit: Nevermind, I saw Wacky Races Forever was mentioned so my question was already answered.
Still kinda confused on how that was never picked up though. It looked pretty interesting

The original Wacky Races was made of all-new original characters and a few of them were spun off in the Dick Dastardly and his Flying Machines and Penelope Pitstop shows. The WR-inspired Fender Bender 500 segments of Wake, Rattle 'n Roll! combined Dick and Muttley with classic HB characters like Yogi and Top Cat made car racers.
For a remake, I'd personally go with a mixture of all new characters, classic racers (Dick and Muttley are a must), perhaps descendants of a few classics (WR Forever's take on Pete and Penelope's kids was too good to waste) and a few pre-existing 'classic' and 'modern' CN characters who've never been Wacky Racers before (Dexter teaming up with Pat Pending, please).

If they're gonna go the "modern nostalgia trip" route, they may as well replace Dick and Muttley with Waluigi and Wario.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here. For the person requesting some Upfront-like press release, here you go.

'' "The new series will air next year as part of the broadcaster’s deal with fellow Time Warner company Warner Bros Animation (WBA) for almost 450 half-hours of original programming.
Wacky Races first appeared on CBS in the US in 1968 and charts the rivalry between characters such as Dick Dastardly, Muttley and Penelope Pitstop as they compete to win the title of World’s Wackiest Racer.
The exact airdate of the reboot is not yet known. Turner Broadcasting did not respond to C21’s request for comment.
Other new shows being mined from the Hanna-Barbera, MGM and WBA libraries for Cartoon Network’s sibling channel include the forthcoming Be Cool Scooby-Doo! and Wabbit: A Looney Tunes Production.
The latter two shows will premiere this fall on all Boomerang channels worldwide, as well as on various Cartoon Network channels internationally.
Boomerang has long been home to classics such as Tom & Jerry but was recently given a revamp around the world and will now host original productions for the first time.
TBS has also been acquiring new series from the international market for Boomerang, taking new Peanuts from France Télévisions and a Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs spin-off from DHX Media, alongside other toons." ''

"Okay, yeah, I guess Ollie fits the goofy sidekick role, but being a princess doesn't mean I spontaneously sing about everything, 'kay?"They've been showing it around here over the last month in Discovery Kids Latin America.
It's just pure classic Peanuts in shorts format, nothing to be afraid of.

But what's a Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs show gonna be like? Hopefully it's nothing like the movies!
The first movie was pretty good though. The second movie wasn't, but the first one was.
Oh, I wasn't upset about it, I was just surprised to hear that they existed. New Peanuts stuff is always nice. It's also cool to hear that the shorts are on the way here.
New Wacky Races is always nice too. I remember hearing about Wacky Races Forever and thinking it was a missed opportunity. I'm excited to hear about it returning. (Dastardly and Muttley had better be back. It would be cool if they simply used existing Muttley voice-clips, too. They're too famous for them to ignore an opportunity like that.)
The Cloudy show, if I heard correctly, is a High School AU with Flint and Sam in high school.

"Okay, yeah, I guess Ollie fits the goofy sidekick role, but being a princess doesn't mean I spontaneously sing about everything, 'kay?"Another highschool AU? Jesus people are unoriginal hacks.
I think I finally got sick of that trope when Regular Show used it to flesh out an actually interesting character's backstory, which deserved way better.
And of course the Cloudy movie was good, it's Lord And Miller.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Yeah, especially on Super hero girls.
"We be we baby!"The only time I feel like it really works is when it's outright parody and solely for the sake of humor, but even that's a bit overdone.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Super Heroes are the worst to use for a Highschool AU. If you have to do it, do it like Young Justice where it was rare and occasional.
Highschool settings are nowadays mainly use for terrible cliche romances and bland drama fests with the same hack-eyed characters and tropes overused to the nth degree.

The above video is from the Australian Cartoon Network and Boomerang feeds stating their 2016 lineup. Around the minute mark 1:11, you'll see "this title card"◊.
This isn't the first time Wacky Races has (attempted) a reboot. Remember the pilot for Wacky Races Forever?
