Just finished Intuition. Pretty good episode.

This episode actually got me thinking, how much cash would a fashion designer like Gabriel with his own brand have exactly?

Dude is pretty loaded yeah but do we have a rough estimate? I'm sure RL fashion designers with their own brand would be a good comparison.

The CEO of LVMH, a French luxury brand that owns Louis Vitton and Sephora, is the richest man in the world. Depending on his brand and how much Gabriel owns, the sky is the limit for wealth.

I remember something this site said about how Gabriel, an international fashion designer with his own brand would have more power than the mayor of Paris.

And I recall thinking "Wait, a fashion designer has that much power and money?". World of fashion must be wild indeed.

Why were Marinette and Adrien not recast by celebrities? Unwatchable.

Yeah, Chris Pratt should play Ladybug and Jack Black should be Hawk Moth.

Adrien can be voiced by Christopher Lloyd and Chloe by Lizzo.

For whatever reason, Lila's voiced by Awkwafina, and in-universe Astruc is voiced by James Corden.

Apparently Astruc has claimed that Ladybug is more popular worldwide than Pokemon (which is even more popular than Star Wars), with the only proof saying "recent surveys" without actually showing them.

On the other hand, criticizing Miraculous for the "main guy and main girl must get together" trope is ridiculous. You can't imagine this show without romance between the leads.

I'm gonna say it was really stupid that in Adoration Marinette almost got expelled from school for stealing 50 cents dollies from her parents and a couple of flower petals, like be fr now. Not to mention the way everyone (including her own parents) was acting over this like she was just caught murdering a cat smh. Also that Lila and Chloe would even frame her for stealing such worthless things when they had an invisible akumatized villain with atealing powers under their control, they could've literally framed her of stealing anything, like jewelries, money, heck even Mona Lisa if they wanted to get bold and yet that's what they settled with ? And these girls are supposed to be more evil than Gabriel ?!? LOL, be fr writers.

2 new episodes just dropped:

Confrontation: WIG SNATCHED! Granted, Lila's (or should I say Cerise's) plan was again very stupid and it should never have worked logically

Collusion: The execuiives must've stepped in to have made it a bit less of a Chloe salt fic than it was in the leaks. Tho the Pig Miraculous power was so worthless for Ms Sans-Cullotte, they should've gave her something cooler like the Dragon Miraculous power, at least that one she could've used to invade the City Hall.

[up] The whole divorce scene was cut. It had Andre abandoning Chloe to her abusive mother (when he's part of the reason she's like that due to spoiling her, thus dodging all responsibility as a parent) while adopting Zoe because she's nicer. I bet some of the executives/writers realized how fucked up this was and cut it.

According to Astruc it was cut without his knowledge. Usually he's impossible to take seriously due to lying all the time but somehow I believe this is true.

Are tropes for Cut Content allowed for any pages? Someone should add an entry for this.

Mind you I don't think a case could be made for such, but has he ever tried to explain how he could double down on a teenager being set in their immoral ways when say giving morally dubious adults more slack like Gabriel or Marinette's formerly racist grandfather?

It's not even just him, but his narrative leads to both intersecting, but you know, adult supervillains in general seem to be made to be more likable and sympathetic while kid/teen bullies are often made to be less likable/pleasant.

I mean I think it is good to see bullying not being dismissed as a minor thing, just that if one deems a bullying teenager for example to be a lost cause, then any adult of similar lack of morals should be doubled down on.

The fact that in these episodes everyone kept saying that Chloe has no chance to change anymore, but then Andre went right ahead and told Gabriel that maybe there's still a chance for them to change ... just such a sickening narrative all around (and while yes, some people are indeed hopeless cases irl, but did they really need to choose the teenage girl for this lesson over the grown up men with (political and magical) power ?). At least if they deemed the latter as much of hopeless cases as Chloe then I could've accepted this narrative.

Chloe treatment compared to the adults does have me wondering if an antithesis to Creator's Favorite is warrented, or at the very least if a subtrope of The War on Straw is germane to Chloe's case.

What were the writers planning on achieving with this?
