Stagger along the yellow brick road

"Shake that ass-"

"Morty hrk, Morty-"

"Shake that ass, bitch, and let me-"

"Morty... no more... singing... Morty, okay?" Rick slumped and rubbed his temples for the sixteenth time that day as he tried to ignore the headache pounding through his head. "Grandpa's feeling like he's gonna puke again."

Morty's gleeful dance had slowed to a mere jog, then, eventually a walk as he kept pace with his grandfather. "Geez, Rick, I mean, you were the one that, uh..."

"Yeah, Morty, I, I, I, I know what I said, okay? It was fun at first, and then you, you just kinda... drove it into the ground. Morty, that whole yellow brick road thing was, like, fifteen minutes ago. That's a qua-quarter of an hour! You keep, you know, singing, and ugh, ho-hold on there for a second, Morty." Rick lurched off to one side of the yellow brick road; after a few seconds he had turned a small patch of pathway into the 'murky green brick road'.

"Boy, Rick, that's, uh, a little harsh, you know?" Morty looked down at the ground and rubbed the back of his head. "I mean, you gotta, uh, go easier on me sometimes. Isn't, this, like, a fairy tale?" he asked, a bit more assertively. "I mean, nobody ever gets che-chewed out by their hung over grandpas in fairy tales, huh?"

"You'd *urp* be surprised at how much hrk oh god, you'd be surprised at how much room there is for art-ar-aa-artistic licence, Morty."

"What? Rick, you can't-"

"Shut up, Morty!" Suddenly Rick grabbed his grandson and pushed him down into the foliage lining either side of the path. "There-someone-just shut up for a sec!" Morty hunhed down in the dirt as his grandfather grabbed the spear and lurched up against a tree.

"Oh jeez, Rick, what- what're you doing? Is it, like, a, a, a, fairy-tale... monster or something? Is it, uh, is it Marcus?" whispered Morty, who was already beginning to sweat. Rick shushed him and held up his hand as he counted down from five... then, after five seconds were up, he burst from the forest, brandishing his weapon at the duo like an elderly, hung-over commando.

"Alright*urp*listenupgetonthefuckinggroundrightnoworI'llstabbothofyouIsweartogod-" Rick looked from Sadness to Twilight and back again before he tossed the weapon over his shoulder and into the brush.

"'s fine, Morty!" he called. "It's, it's, it's just some... weird... blue... lady... and that, uh, that, that, that, hooOURGHse thing, whatever, I don't give a crap." Morty popped his head out of the bushes and hurried over.

"Oh, uh, hi, uh... uh... Sadness?" said Morty, waving awkwardly as he fumbled for her name. "Uh, you're looking... sad... today. I mean, uh, that's a good thing, right?" Behind him, Rick rolled his eyes and smacked the palm of his hand against his forehead.

Rick's Medieval Lab

After spending a few minutes thinking about it, Lune was still stumped. If the city changed every minute, there would be no point in giving directions. Your best bet is to rely on landmarks, and even those can be unreliable. Guess it's best to be honest again.

"Err, I don't know the way to the library," said the cute-faced Dullahan. "Sorry about that."

After hearing the offer for food, Lune smiled. Brain food can be helpful for anyone. Also, eating out is great for socializing with your friends. Just don't cook anything extreme, like those stomach-turning "health" drinks Kusuha enjoys making or those overly sweet jam-filled riceballs Cliana made one time.

"...On second thought, maybe we should eat out? I haven't had a good meal in a while."

After making that suggestion, Lune noticed Grimlock. From what she heard from Kieri, Grimlock was like one of her friends. A friend of another friend can be a good friend, right? In any case, Lune introduced herself to Grimlock.

"So, you're a friend of Kieri's, right? I'm Lune, and it's nice to meet you."

Despite the change in form, Lune is still keeping her sunny attitude. Guess some things never change, huh>

Four Arm's heart sunk, he knew deep inside that Darth Marr was right. These people were emotionally dead, as much as they had been killed repeatedly in the massacre of ice and snow that was the previous day.

For a moment, Four Arms did not know what to do. Then as he stood there, he balled up his fists tighter, and started growling slightly.

"You happy now?!" Four Arms shouted to the sky at no one in particular; through the context it was obvious that he was attempting to speak to the boss. "This enough 'inspiration' for you, Mr. Boss?! I won't let you do this to anyone else!" He stopped for a moment to catch his breath, as he was beginning to breathe deeply now. "One of these days I WILL find a way to put you in your place, you monster!!" He then looked back at the group of people, breathing heavily still as his alien heart pounded in his chest.

Small Town- Fear leads to Anger, then Anger leads to Hate, Hate then leads to Power

Darth Marr gave a small smirk under his plate helmet at seeing Ben's outburst, the child sure has unbridled emotions hidden in him, if only he wasn't so naive and he was Force-Sensitive, he would make a fine Sith.

"It is only natural to once in a while feel anger and hatred, especially unleashing those emotions against those who harm the innocent...though you shouldn't let them overtake you. Hold these emotions until we finally meet with our kidnapper and then unleash them. Right now it would do no good to everybody else."

Darth Marr looked at the others, he felt through the Force that they had no emotions whatsoever. This quite reminded him of Darth Jadus's followers, who were brainwashed themselves, almost like empty shells. He had heard rumors that Cipher Nine joined Jadus and sent them to kill her own daughter, Darth Zhorrid, but he found those rumors to be just rumors.

"These people might take years to even recover...I fear that there is nothing we can do for now...we must move on"

Marr said to Ben.

"Really? Interesting," Plague Knight said to Rex. He was to explain more when two new people come in, another elf and a person in an odd black cloak. Apparently the elf was formerly a half-spider. Interesting.

Less so and more urgent was the individual the elf came in with. The teen caught sight of a blue skinned woman that was slightly shorter than him, immediately classified her as a demon, and started brandishing daggers. Oh Gods, another racist! he mentally groaned. The blue woman then suddenly blasted the teen with a ball of magic. From the way the woman stared at her hands like an rust musket that suddenly fired its last shot from being merely touch, it appeared to be the very first time she used said magic.

The hood individual vanished into green smoke while the blue woman ran out of the library, followed by Twilight. He then reappeared, spouting nonsense about a Fade and still referring to the blue woman as a demon. Thankfully the other managed to talk sense into the man, whom referred to him as a spirit of compassion.

"Well, as it seems that everything here is in order, I shall be taking my leave to return to my own lab," Plague Knight said to the others. "Of course, I shall require travel companions in case we meet anything unsavory along the way."

Sadness kept trying to convince Twilight to leave.

"Come on, do I need a reason to help someone in need? Who knows what's out there? There could be more people like that jerk who threatened you around here, and I am not going to let someone in need deal with them alone! I'm going with you, and I am not going to take 'no' for an answer!"

Miss Tairee glanced up at Asgore with a dull expression, clearly thinking that yes, the question was a bit intrusive. She took a deep breath through her nose and looked back down to her work in the book. "Oh, it's still there. I just... Stopped living there, a long time ago" Miss Tairee said, scribbling away in the book. "I've been staying with my boss ever since" she added, swiping her quill across part of the page and looking up.

With a quick blurring effect on them, every piece of broken furniture and ash from the fire suddenly disappeared from the library. "There. Now I can start replacing everything" Miss Tairee muttered to herself, flipping to another page in the book and starting to scribble again.

The little teenager - his name was MartyMorty, right? - was with him too. Four Arms shuddered, unaware of Darth Marr's dark thoughts, and he looked down at the Sith lord. "I guess you're right. But shouldn't we look for a doctor or something for these people?" Four Arms asked. He may be a hero but he was no psychiatrist. At that very moment, the sound of clock chimes was released from Ben's now-magical Omnitrix, and Four Arms was bathed in red magical light, then shrunk back down into his human form. Now looking rather dejected, Ben put his head down slightly and shook his head.

"C'mon, Darth, let's just keep looking," said Ben. And with that, Ben began to trudge down a side path out of the town.

At Plague Knight's not so secret Pub/Lab base

After getting over the shock that he was wearing Prismere armor, Agarth had gathered all of the clothe he had found the day before and put it on one of the tables. Agarth then looked outside and confirmed what he had thought about, not only was there was not a single drop of snow left outside and that the city had changed once again. Agarth decided that he would wait a few hours to see if Plague Knight or anyone else would come by the pub, if no one enter the pub during that time he would go to the library to see if there were any new arrivals in the city, and hopefully find Plague Knight or anyone from the group that they had met yesterday.

After Sadness finally allowed Twilight to go with her, someone popped from behind the trees, carrying a weapon. Twilight instinctively stepped back, and her horn sparked, as she prepared to fight back if necessary.

But then he threw his weapon away, and called out to his partner.

"I'm not a horse, I'm a pony..."

Then another person showed up, and apparently he knew Sadness's name. Tensions seemed down, but after being threatened, Twilight still eyed the two with suspicion.

"Let us go then!" Plague Knight said. He walked out of the library, presumably with Rex and Spectre Knight following. As he traveled the landscape, he only stopped briefly to observe the environment around him. Many of the smaller huts and buildings reminded him greatly of his own universe, though to him it seems that the City's current form, architecturally at least, may be somewhat of a downgrade in comparison, if judging from how only it seems buildings of importance use both wood and stonework, and even then those were few and far between.

The other major thing he noticed were the trees. After seeing the first had bark made from book covers, he climbed it up, jump, and grabbed and fistful of leaves, closely examining them.

A beat.

"These are merely text printed on green colored sheets," he commented. Any other trees he observed would reveal that no two trees had the same titles making up the bark.

Overall, the journey would be a short, pleasant stroll through the forest and the group would arrive at the pub in about half an hour. Barring anything strange and/or surprisingly from happening of course......

Cole listened to Legion telling him to see about helping people who had died, and a rather confused look made it clear the spirit didn't entirely know what to do with that information. Still, he tentatively started towards the door of the library he'd seen others going out through, hesitating at the feeling of what seemed like several layers of distress outside.

The...whatever it was that wasn't a demon...was among them.

He hesitated at the door, shifting his weight from foot to foot. The others had insisted the creature was no demon, but it still felt wrong to him. The feelings of spirits, demons, and the like, felt like concentrated masses of their sentiment, be it desire, rage, hunger...and every sense he had was screaming at him to either attack or flee.

Cole hoped if he was being tricked, that he would at least be able to flee to safety before the demon could sink its claws into him.

Taking a deep breath was a sensation he still hadn't quite gotten the hang of, and he wound up coughing a bit as he was walking towards...whatever all these people...and a horse?...were doing.

"I...is...is there a way I can help?"

Grimlock; Dragon form

Outside Rick's Lab

And he certainly was a dragon. A wingless one, yes, but a dragon nonetheless. His body was that of a typical European dragon, four legs, the front having vaguely human like hands instead of feet and a bit longer than the back, which had your typical dragon feet, a tail, a serpentine neck and smooth skin like scales. The only thing reminiscent of his old body was his lower jaw, still as big and boxy as ever. A majority of his body was the same bright green of his Dinobot body, except for a few parts. His underbelly was black, as well as his feet. There was a line of small black spikes running from the back of his head all the way to near the end of his tail. His tail also had black stripes, making it look segemented and his lower forearms were silver. His eyes were still a serene sky blue but now had the reptilian slit pupil. The "crown" he had as a Dinobot also remained, but now the one on each edge were extended and pointed, giving him the signature two horns. The center one was pointed too, but was still short. He had a few yellow glowing markings, looking like enchanted runes, at his cheeks, his thighs, his shoulders, his chest and the palms of his hands. Lastly, his Autobot symbols at the sides of his hips now looked like a knight's helmet over a shield.

Not that Grimlock knew this.

At hearing then seeing Kieri, his face brightened a whole lot with a big toothy grin. Then he rushed to her and landed near her on his belly. Then he stretched out, grabbed her (thankfully, not so hard that the claws hurt) and moved his head close to her as if she was gonna eat her. Until he starts affectionately rubbing his head against her side. Unaware of any distress he might've given her, or anyone who went out to check the thud he made, he stopped and let her go. But his face was still right in front of her, lying on the ground, with his silly smile still on him.

"Good to see you're a' right," he said, not noticing Kieri's physical changes either.

Someone else's voice then caught his attention. He turned his head to see a wolf man asking if he ate people. What? "Uh, no. I eat Energon."

Then another girl came, greeted him and she said her name. She also "You too. Name's Grimlock!"

"You said you had a dream... That dream... Make it come true! ... If anyone can, it's you!" - N (shortened) Oh, and I'm a girl.

Plague Knight inspected one of the trees while Rex and Specter Knight followed him. PK really liked to analyze anything and everything, he kind of reminded him of the Doc.

"When this is all over you should see the zoo. It has tons of creatures you've probably never seen before including Blinky, an EVO tree with eyes. Sure, it would probably piss off White Knight, but who cares about his opinion?"

The journey to PK's lab didn't take that long but it would have been even shorter had Rex used his powers. He didn't want to overstress himself as he was still a bit tired from the snowstorm.

Because he hadn't really talked much with the knights he decided to start a conversation.

"So, SK are you a zombie or what?"

WHY CAN'T YOU JUST LEAVE ME ALONE?!

How, exactly, does stuff like this happen?

Peridot stood on the other side of the Galaxy Warp, facing off against the dreaded Crystal Gems: a rebellious pearl, an overcooked amethyst, and...some sort of fusion? It was hard to tell, really, but it didn't matter. Not now, anyway, since she was currently trying to survive.

With an annoyed grunt, Peridot whipped out her arm cannon and fired three green energy balls. They all missed. Of course they did...since fighting was already a terrible idea, perhaps evasion would work? She rapidly spun her five hand attachments in a circle, allowling her to be lifted off the ground and blown away with the nonexistent wind in the area. But the amethyst had already pulled out her Gem weapon—a purple, three-tailed whip—and clung to her leg. Peridot panicked, then remembered a tactic she had used before: generating electricity from seemingly nowhere, the harmful element traveled into the whip and into the amethyst's hands. Except it didn't.

The fusion, with her massive gauntlets, grabbed the whip and actually sent it back at Peridot, effectively electrocuting her instead. She fell from the sky with an ugly "RAGGHHH".

Standing up, Peridot realized she was surrounded. The fusion trapped her from the front, and the pearl had flanked her. Wait! Wait! Peridot cried, but they wouldn't stop. You need me! I'm the only one who knows about the Clu—

Then they disappeared. Just like that.

Peridot froze. Her vision was fading away...oh no, is this what is was like being shattered?! No, no, she was still there...sort of. She couldn't see, couldn't hear...the darkness was overwhelming her. She could handle it...she just had to wait...

...

...

...

Waiting was boring. After what felt like ages, Peridot was suddenly thrust back into reality. Literally. She fell on her butt with a thud and yelped. This sudden change of perspective was disorienting, especially with all the voices...voices...that mean there were more people! Waiting for her vision to adjust, Peridot checked her surroundings. She was in a crowd of people, frantic and confused, just as much as she was. They were all wearing some odd...stuff. Various, old-fashioned-looking rags and skins. She looked down at herself and—oh, jeez, she was wearing the same thing! A bright green tunic and pants, with some sort of brown, clunky footwear...this was all so strange...Peridot debated between staying in one place, hoping no one notices her, or exploring the surrounding area. The latter won out. Regaining her sanity, she began to spin her hand attachments again, flying into the air high above her.

"So this 'zoo' is a location where people entrap various creatures in to look at?" Plague Knight said. "Interesting for gathering data in the short term, but I do not see the point. I find the best way to gather data on lifeforms is within their natural habitat instead of a controlled environment. Outside of bacteria and viruses, of course!"

Then Rex started guessing Spectre Knight's species.

"True, you're not a vampire, but you have the tendency to suck the life out of people with your constantly droning of doom and gloom," he said to Spectre. Then he turned to Rex.

"Call him a poltergeist, his reaction is priceless!" Plague Knight unhelpfully advised.
