Gon shadowed the group when he saw them enter the building. He noted that every time he was going to turn a corner, he was a bit far from it.

This is defying even common sense. How did I get here?

He decided to try again and turn the corner one more time. This time, Gon made it in front of the building.

Is there a way around it?

Gon looked around for some kind of side entrance. Perhaps the building may hold some answers to his current predicament.

Josuke gave the Plague Knight a quizzical, but not really scrutinous look. Personally, while he couldn't say he'd ever seen a human transforming into aliens before, he did know an alien that could transform into stuff before. Most of Ben's aliens he'd seen so far just sort of reminded him of Stands in a way, so it didn't really interest him all that much. He was just wondering how'd a kid get something that allowed him to do that...

Then the somewhat nervous-looking kid(If he remembered right, his name was Morty?) nudged him a bit, asking him his opinion on it.

"Eh...it's nothing too special. I'm sure somebody's got a Stand that can do just something like that." He brushed the ghost powers aside at first, but then slightly averted his eyes. "Also, ghosts kinda creep me out..." The teen admitted, though his only real encounter with one wasn't all that bad.

"We got another ghost guy though, right? Where'd he go?" He questioned, taking a look around. He hoped nobody was getting lost already, especially with how confusing this city was.

To Gentaro's response, Josuke gave a sympathetic grin. "Honestly, I couldn't make out most of what these guys were talking about. All this molecule transfo-tech stuff kinda goes straight over my head."

His attempts to peer into the building proved difficult, the tinted glass making it a pain to make out much. From what he could discern it seemed to be a fairly ordinary room, sort of like a lobby. Tons of chairs, and he briefly thought he could possibly see someone inside someone...human? He couldn't make out much of the details from out here.

Since there didn't look like there was anything dangerous, at least not yet, Josuke decided it would be better to enter rather than stand outside gawking. He headed for another one of the revolving doors.

Inside the library

"Yes, a library" the receptionist said to Undyne as she walked in, glancing over with her still glowing green eyes. The peasant man looked over as he heard conversation starting; the moment he saw Undyne in her armor, his eyes widened and he let out a yelp. He quickly jumped out of the sofa and moved around it, putting it between himself and the new arrivals.

Ignoring the peasant man, the receptionist looked back at Ghostfreak as he turned visible and asked his question. She sighed slightly, placing one hand to her forehead lightly. "Of course that's what you ask first; why ask anything else first?" the receptionist muttered, seemingly to herself as she turned and moved back to the central desks.

"First off, the answer of where you are is, mostly, irrelevant. You are in a small, closed universe that was created just... Well, time is actually irrelevant too, but in terms of what time is relevant here, this universe was created no less than an hour ago. There is no name for this place as of yet, because it has not been given one yet" the receptionist explained aloud.

"Why you're here is a much simpler question; you're here for inspiration" the receptionist added as she seemed to be typing on something behind the desk again; after a few key strokes, her eyes stopped glowing green and turned back to normal. Her eyes were normally blue, it seemed. "That's better" she stated, sitting back down on a chair behind the desk.

Outside the library

As the building was round and had evenly spaced entrances around the first floor, there was no 'side' door for Gon to find. Every door was as equally a main door as every other door.

Ghostfreak noticed that Gentaro, the guy with the big hair, and the blonde girl had followed him and Undyne in. Just as well, his stealthy entrance had already been ruined. He just listened to the receptionist's "explanation".

It didn't clear things up any more, and that last line really confused him.

"Inspiration?!" he asked. "What's that supposed to mean?! Hey! I'm not finished!" he exclaimed, as he followed the receptionist as she went to the desk, and floated in front of the desk.

"All right, lady. Just what is going on around here?! The city keeps moving around by itself, people from a whole bunch of universes show up here out of nowhere, including me, and there's a guy who's hurt just sitting here on your couch... you've got some explaining to do. Spill," Ghostfreak told her, his voice taking on a bit of a dangerous tone to it.

Gentaro's attention was drawn towards the peasant man after he yelped out. He eyed him worriedly when he saw his sorry state and decided he'd ask him what was up after they got the lowdown.

"Inspiration?" he thought out loud. "What, like, as art models or something?" That train of thought quickly led to another and he quickly shook his head as it occurred to him. "Hey now, hey now," he started to protest, "I don't want nobody drawing me naked or anything!"

Gentaro Kisaragi, everybody.

His antics were promptly curbed as Ben got more and more heated up and he took it on himself to try and hold him back. "C'mon, Ben, getting mad at this lady isn't going to get you answers any sooner." He set his hand on the closest approximation to his shoulder and was immediately skeeved out by how cold and clammy his hand got. He wasn't gonna let this set him back if he could help it, though.

Angua had entered the large glass building from a separate entrance from the others. She had been rather perplexed by the revolving door, but after poking it cautiously to see how it worked, she walked into the building (it looked like the library at Unseen University, if less musty, more airy, and made entirely of glass). Seeing the man covered in blood cowering behind a sofa (understandably, she thought; when a fish-woman, a ghost, a weird bird-man, and a kid with ridiculous hair walk in the door, it's probably time to hide), she walked over to him, trying not to startle him, and tapped him on the shoulder. "Excuse me, sir, I'm Sergeant Angua. Do you mind if I ask you a few questions?"

Entering the building, Josuke's eyes fell on the bloodied peasant man first.

"H-Hey! Are you hurt?!" He called out, then immediately raced over, momentarily lowering his guard. He didn't take even a second to think 'why is this guy hiding?' or, 'what if that blood wasn't his?'. He wasn't even paying attention to the confrontation with the odd receptionist.

A blonde-haired woman had approached the man as well, but Josuke ignored her for now.

"I can help!" The teen said as he approached with his hands raised. He could already tell the guy was a bit jumpy, so the delinquently-dressed high school student approached as non-threateningly as he possibly could.

Inside the library

The receptionist raised an eyebrow at Ghostfreak as he made his threat. Now up close to the desk, he could see a few things on it; a small pile of paper notes with a pen next to them, the pen being attached to the desk with a small chain. Next to that was a wooden box with a slit on the top and the words 'suggestion box' carved into the front. There was also a name plaque, designating the receptionist as one, 'Miss Tairee'.

"First off, that man is not hurt; that's not his blood, and he was like that when he got here. I don't know why he's spattered with blood; why don't you try asking him about that?" Miss Tairee said, a bit dismissively of the subject.

"But yes, inspiration" Miss Tairee went on, getting back to the other topic. "You've been brought here by... Wait, hold on" Not caring in the slightest about how threatening Ghostfreak was trying to be, Miss Tairee went typing away on the machine behind the desk again for a few moments. After Gentaro's statement, she looked back up. "Not quite, but close. I'm not supposed to tell you about who brought you here, but the reason he brought you here is for inspiration on his work. He wants to see what you all decide to do, and see what ideas that gives him" she told them.

She sat back, regarding Ghostfreak and the others for a moment, and frowning ever so slightly. "Now, you can kill me if you really want to, but it won't really change anything. And if you keep doing it, I'll be forced to make you stop" Miss Tairee warned them with all the care of an apathetic babysitter telling her charges that they couldn't stay up past their bedtime.

Over at the sofa, the peasant man backed away from Angua and Josuke, not letting Angua touch him; he looked towards them, but kept glancing worriedly towards Undyne. "Questions about what? I didn't do nothing; I don't want to die!" the man said in desperation, trembling in fear as he backed away a few steps. Up close, they could tell the blood on the man was not his; in fact, Angua could smell that it was not even human blood.

Ghostfreak backed off when Gentaro approached him from behind. Though it was hard to tell because of his faceless appearance, he was still rather upset. He saw some of the others were going to check up on the bloody man (though he apparently wasn't hurt). Good, at least he was being taken care of. Hopefully. Josuke seemed pretty harmless, but he wasn't sure about the other blonde woman who had entered.

He turned back towards Miss Tairee. "So that's it?" he asked, sounding very unsatisfied with the response. "He's just watching us to see what we do? What does he think we are, zoo animals?!" He sighed.

Right on cue, the Omnitrix started flashing red again, the room was bathed in red light, and there Ben stood in his human form, in front of the desk. He was now barely taller than the top of the desk. After a moment to cool off and think for a moment, he stood on his tiptoes to try and get his face over the desk to look up at her. "Anyway. I wasn't gonna kill you, lady. I'm a hero, heroes don't do that." He read the plaque on the desk. "Miss Tairee. Huh." An odd name, but he'd seen odder.

"So how did you see me when I was invisible?" he asked her, his curiosity getting the better of him. "What was with that glowing eye thing?"

Hearing Rex's pun, Undyne actually smiled widely. "Man, you sound like one of my friends back home..."

As the receptionist, who was apparently named 'Miss Tairee' according to the nameplate on her desk, explained what was going on, Undyne frowned deeply.

"So we're just here to... do things... until the bastard that brought us here is happy?" She said, gripping her spear tighter. Then she suddenly pointed it at Miss Tairee. "Like hell I'm going to stay here! I have friends back home! What about them, huh?! Am I just supposed to leave them behind?!"

Neither seeing any traps being sprung nor hearing the sounds of conflict againt guards when Undyne just barged right in, Plague Knight figured it was safe to go in. At first he cautiously approached one of the revolving doors, but soon found they worked under the same principle of the revolving passageways many castles and temples had.

The alchemist entered just the receptionist explained the situation to Ben. He decided to let the transforming boy handle finding the deeper answers of why they were here in this very recently created pocket dimension, as Plague Knight was far more interested in the building itself at the moment. The library would have been an engineering marvel back in his own world! While seemingly made with mere metal and glass, it was clear the glass was reinforced with some other material to allow it to not only withstand the approximate tonnes of weight while keeping its shape. The material needed to make the unique tinting effect would take months alone with his world's level of technology!

Pity he did not bring a sampling kit with him to collect samples of building to possibly replicate back home. He was about to explore the upper levels when he noticed the peasant man. Josuke and a blond woman was already near him, and he was clearly hiding from Undyne. When he approached, Plague Knight soon noticed the blood on the man's clothes was not his own.

From the man's behavior, Plague Knight soon put two and two together.

"Oh really?" Plague Knight asked the peasant man. "Because from the way I see it, you're certainly not acting like a man who did not do anything." Even with the mask on, it was easy for the others to tell the knight might have been smiling in sadistic glee right now.

"On a unrelated note, that is a lot of blood on your person," he pointed out to the peasant. "However, you do not seem to be injured......"

Miss Tairee almost smiled after Ben admitted he wouldn't kill her, but the small frown returned as Undyne pointed her spear into the receptionist's face. "You're not expected to stay here indefinitely. When it's over, you can be sent back to your home" Miss Tairee told her, starting to tap away on the machine behind the desk again.

The peasant man, upon seeing Undyne holding the spear threateningly, had his eyes widen further. "Oh gods, not again!" the peasant exclaimed, ignoring Plague Knight and anything else Angua and Josuke had to say as he turned and booked it for the closest set of revolving doors.

Josuke was slightly taken aback by the man's reaction, and even further so by Plague Knight's observation; it was now obvious from closer up that the guy didn't seem to have a scratch, but had good deal of blood on him.

Before the teen could even attempt to calm the man down and get him answer their questions, The medieval-looking guy suddenly attempted to turn tail and run.

"O-Oy! Don't think you can just get away without explaining anything!" Josuke yelled out, immediately summoning Crazy Diamond and sending him towards the man. Should his Stand be able to catch up to man in time, it would instantly attempt grab a hold of him from the scruff of his clothes, and raise him slightly from the ground.

Rex had been hearing the receptionist's story feeling uneasy. What kind of person would trap hundreds of people in a city just to inspire themselves? It didn't make much sense to him.

Undyne gripped her spear tightly while arguing with Miss Tairee which made the peasant nervous and run away.

"We are not here to kill anyone but you have to understand, being covered in blood that is not yours is really suspicious", he yelled at the peasant.

He then looked at the group.

"Lady bookworm here is not being of much help and if she's right I say we do nothing. If this guy wants to be inspired he will to ask it himself."

Rex then sitted down in one of the desks with his arms crossed behind his back.

"This is gonna be a long day, isn't it?"

Angua gave a few cautious sniffs, careful not to get too much of a noseful, else there might be some... unfortunate consequences. Odd. The blood on his clothes smelled like... elves, but different. Very forest-y and fresh, almost like iron-tinged rain, but there was a hint of something... else. She held up her hands in a placating gesture. "Easy, sir. You're not in trouble. In fact, all I am is worried for your wellbeing."

She stepped closer to the man slowly, hands still held up, then used one to point to the bloodstains. "Now, sir... That's not human blood, is it. You can tell me if its not; whatever it is tht came from, I'm not working with it. Or them, as the case may be."

She shot a glare at Plague Knight and growled as a wolf might. "Not. Helping."

Ben was trying to get a peek at the screen that Miss Tairee was typing at before Undyne did what Undyne seemed to do best— threaten people with little provocation.

Ben whipped around. "UNDYNE!" he shouted, before out of the corner of his eye he saw the bloody guy turn tail and run. He sighed. Josuke seemed to have gotten him. With... what looked like a blue-and-pink guy in armor. Huh. Well, again, it wasn't the oddest thing he had seen even today, let alone through his heroing career. Ben gave Undyne a look before turning back towards Miss Tairee.

"So, uh, how did you see me?" he asked, still trying to sneak a peek at the screen of her computer. It was difficult enough considering it was faced away from him, but being barely taller than the desk made it nearly impossible.

Inside the library

The speed difference was immense, and Crazy Diamond caught the man with no issue whatsoever. "No please! I'm just a farmer!" the man pleaded as Angua walked up and asked him further about the blood. Even closer now, Angua was picking up one last smell; something that had been fairly faint on the man before... Something like diesel smoke.

"The blood? No! No, not mine; it was- it- an elf woman. After I got taken from my farm and showed up near that blue abyss, with all the other people" the peasant man started to explain; it was clear he was trying to describe one of the balconies at the edge of the city, just like where they had arrived. "There was an elf woman near me, and we started to talk; she seemed friendly, and we were both just trying to figure out what happened, then... And then, by gods..." he trailed off, trying to fight back tears and fear.

"I heard a sound like a roar of a beast, but of no beast I've ever heard, and then, it was upon us- this huge figure in blue armor- a demon, I'm sure of it, like yours" the peasant continued, seemingly referring to Crazy Diamond by his attempts to gesture back at it. "It landed next to both of us; I could hear it roaring out in anger but I could not make out the words over the screaming of its sword. I saw the surface of the sword moving with some kind of magic as it was swung at the elf and, and... It sliced her in two almost effortlessly, but more than that it, it tore out her blood and threw it everywhere as it happened. I was- was standing right next to her so I... So- by the gods." Since none of this had happened in their presence, clearly this event had taken place at one of the other balconies around the edge of the city.

The man couldn't take it anymore, and broke down crying in Crazy Diamond's grip. "I ran as fast as I could!" the man screamed out between sobs.

Back over at the desk, Miss Tairee glanced past Undyne to Rex sitting on the floor. "Oh, much more than a day, but your action makes no difference. There's still plenty of people throughout the city besides you; and even your stubborn act of protest is still interesting. Would you like me to get you some food?" Miss Tairee said, the question apparently genuine despite her criticizing of Rex's course of action.

To Ben, she finally answered, "when the building sensed you come in, I knew you must be invisible; so I gave myself true sight to see you with. I'm glad you stopped though so I could get rid of it; it's so weird to talk to people while you can see their organs and skeleton."

The whole concept was odd, being there as a source of inspiration for someone, a deity most likely. The question that first came into mind was why them? Why was Alice brought there over all the other residents of Gensokyo? Perhaps this person who summoned them to that city was fond of dolls as well.

"If we are supposed to stay in this city for a long period of time, will we be getting any kind of residence for ourselves? Unless this library is supposed to be our resting place." she inquired, for anyone else it would look like she was completely fine with the current situation she was place in and indeed she was not as bothered with the concept as the others, after all, it wasn't like she had anybody waiting for her in Gensokyo.

Angua winced. Good gods... She moved closer to the man and attempted to console him while patting his shoulder. (And trying to resist the smell of the blood. Though she could smell something else under it... something oily and mechanical, again reminding her of the few times she had been inside Leonard of Quirm's workshop.

"Don't worry, sir. I promise that I, at least, will try to avenge the death of the elven woman and stop that blue monster from killing more innocents." She glanced around at the people near her, specifically the kid with the weird hair who she thought was controlling the somewhat terrifying thing holding the man in place. "Is anyone with me? And, you with the hair? Could you have... that" - she gestured to Crazy Diamond - "loosen its grip on the poor man? I think he's been through enough already."

"...Shit." Josuke eloquently muttered at the peasant's tale.

Something that looked similar to his Crazy Diamond? He knew it must have been something different, but even the thought of a Stand with that sort of brute power was something worrisome.

"Oh. Sure..." The pompadoured teen heeded Angua's request, suspecting the man probably wouldn't attempt to bolt so suddenly now that he got his story out anyway, and wordlessly motioned for his Stand to gently put him on the ground, then subsequently loosen it's grip.

The figure still remained within arm's length of the man, just in case they needed to ask him anymore questions and he did decided to run again.

"...Guess whoever's in charge of tossing us together decided to throw a couple of real monsters into the mix..." Josuke grimly remarked. He didn't really get to overhear the exposition on their predicament happening a couple meters away, having focused entirely on the bloody man this whole time.

It made him feel like crap knowing that while they were grumbling about their situation, somewhere close-by a woman was getting brutally murdered. If he was there, if he was on that balcony...

..Nah. No use beating himself up over that.

"I wanna help. I just gotta make sure there's no more victims to...whatever this thing is." He said solemnly, agreeing with the blonde werewolf.

"So, uh, is there a comic books section?" he asked innocently.

As Legion walked through the city it noticed that every time it turned, the geometry and layout changed. After a few seconds it abandoned mapping protocols, as they still worked in 3D space. And clearly this place wasn't three-dimensional.

"The layout of this city changes constantly as we move through it. City may be fourth-dimensional, or may not obey physics as we understand it."

Eventually, however, after enough walking it came upon a massive library and walked into it. It seemed rather clean. Much like an organic office building belonging to a rich corporation. There Legion met a receptionist - Miss Tairee, their name plaque identified them as.

Legion learned it was essentially being kept here for "inspiration". He had been placed into this city by some force that seemed less malevolent than unaware of the consequences of its actions, merely because it was writing a story and wanted to see what it would do as inspiration. It was being used as a guinea pig.

"I must protest this course of action, Miss Tairee. My home galaxy and my species are fighting a war for the survival of spacefaring life. I must go back and assist them."

One thing you wer able to notice was that they were all heading towards the building in the center. The building didn't shift around like so many of the others, so it was probably important.

"Uh, hey, I don't know about you, but that building seems like our best bet to learn more about this place right now."

Danny then flies towards the building as to not be left behind. He goes intangible and invisible to enter the building, looking around before becoming visible and tangible again. The place seems to resemble some kind of giant library? Odd. You spot Ben, Undyne, and the mech guy over by the counter, while you also see Jojo, his... Stand, you guess? some blond girl, and Bird Mask over by a man covered in blood.

"Uh, did I miss something?"
