CoLC crossover RP, discussion

Hmmm it'll be interesting what Day 20's events will be like. I'm almost done with my introduction post that I've been writing on a Word Document I basically am gonna wait until the events theme is announced and then I'll finish it. It's after the movie the post for Hercules takes place just like post movie so the events of the film would've already happened.

Do you use Skype? A lot of the other players chat using it.

Oh is that a reason why there isn't that much activity on the thread? Because more people use that way?

Yeah, a lot of us use Skype so this discussion thread doesn't get a whole lot of use anymore. Which is a shame, but what can you do?

By the way, I play Ben Tennyson. Here's hoping that Ben and Hercules will be able to get along, but considering Hercules is really sweet and nice (and is also basically a superhero) I think they'd get along swimmingly.

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.

Ah I see. Is there any other way of interacting? Because I'm having trouble getting Skype to show up actually. But yeah I do think Hercules will get along with Ben very well cuz I reckon ol' Herc would probably give Ben some advice on how to be a hero.

Talking in here is fine. To be honest it's kind of nice to use the discussion forum again. Though you could try using web Skype if the app or the desktop version is giving you issues.

Ah I see. Nah for the time being I'll use the thread. Right now I'm currently reading Day 6 of this RP story and I've just read the bit where Ben as well as Zelda, Lune and Garrett crash through the windows of the Library thanks to the cartoon theme of the day and my god that's priceless. And seeing as I'm a sucker for retro cartoons that is saying something.

Here now, fully recapped. Seems that not much has happened since I left. I'm going to check on things and then see about making a small post, then after that work on the transition for either the next post or editing it in. My head's a little woozy right now; that'll likely pass once I have something to eat, but I need to wait a while for that.

Day twenty, camping campus

• BREAK DAY RULE: It is impossible for anyone to get hurt. Whether through direct action, indirect consequence, intentional, accidental, or self inflicted, it is impossible for anyone to be physically harmed, or even so much as be in pain. Anything that would result in someone being harmed will fail to occur, the method of such failure depending on the circumstances and range anywhere from inexplicable luck to the outright physically impossible.
  • Additionally, all characters who are not just arriving wake up in a bed somewhere feeling as if they've gotten a full night's sleep and meal the previous night, even if they didn't. All food from any sources magically replenish their stocks the moment anyone takes something from them.
  • Those who were in one of the jail cells are still in that cell, but otherwise still fall under the above rule.
• Characters are their normal selves.
  • Everyone is fully healed. The aliens from Day 19, all their equipment, and their ships, have vanished.
• The city streets are gone, and instead it is all sidewalk pathways between stretches of green grass, flower beds, and trees. The buildings are pretty much the same, though the layout is no longer street by street blocks and instead is more organic and disjointed. In other words, it's laid out much like a college or university campus, only massive in scale.
• The edge of the city does not drop off into a blank blue void, but instead empties into a nice, pleasant forest which extends out all the way to the horizon seemingly endlessly. Of course through shifting, anyone who goes into the forest will find themselves to always be not far away from the edge of the city, no matter how far they travel. At the edges of the city near the forest, there are buildings like log cabins, souvenir shops, hotels, hot springs, and other vacation style stops.
  • Also throughout the city are small book shops with advertisements of school textbooks on sale in their windows.
• Just like the last break day, characters may now get one message back to their home universe during this day. To do so, they must go to the library and work out the nature of said message with The Writer.
  • Miss Tairee is not in the library, but there is a sign on both sides of each door and on one of the central desks, each of which say, "Speak out loud for assistance."
  • As an OOC note, when your character tells the Writer who they wish to contact, you must inform me in some fashion exactly where that character currently is and what they're doing, either by just adding it in your post in a narrative sense or telling me via PM or such.

Ah okay it's a break day. Huh, I expected to have some action in there but whatever I'll take it. I assume I have to get Hercules transported onto the balcony like everyone else right? Oh man I'm gonna have to maybe stop reading Day 6 and finish the post. I guess I can go back to that specific day for another time.

@The Starscream 759: Indeed, Hercules appears out at one of the balconies. There's no rush if you want to take your time though. Characters don't have to show up right at the beginning of the day; it's just generally easier to get in that way.

Right I'll probably wait a bit and then I post my introduction post as Hercules. I'm gonna tell you though he is going to be pretty weirded out by the buildings he sees should he start exploring the place.

Alright, with that tiny post I'm going to be calling it for tonight. Tomorrow's an evening shift, and I'll be hopping on briefly before it; probably around a couple hours earlier than when I got on today. I'll have to call it early tomorrow night, but I should definitely be able to make at least one more post after I get back from work.

Yo. Ocean here. Might I suggest putting location headers? Makes it slightly easier to keep tabs on where everyone is. You don't have to, but it's highly recommended.

Btw, I'm some angsty pink ghost or another. No one important. My main contribution to the rp is introducing the real main character.
