According to Omniverse, it does and in one specific episode ("Secret of Dos Santos") Ben tries to use it to understand Spanish. But it's another watch entirely so it may or may not also apply to the original.

@Locoman: I think the end of the first paragraph in your post got eaten. EDIT: Nevermind, you ninja.
@Deis The Alcano: They would unless you want that to be an exception, or unless they already understand Spanish.
Also, I never played Bioshock 2.
@Full Moon: There wouldn't really be a good way to balance that, and yes it would probably take a really long time.
@wikkit: Yes, it does apply to written language. That was mentioned in the rules.
The only time a character wouldn't understand something written down is if they were illiterate anyway.

You are reading this.Oh, good to know. I was asking because I was going to make Rex speak Spanish to see if Specter Knight could understand him (thus proving his theory) but I wasn't sure if that was covered by the rules.
Reading Rick's stuff makes me feel like I'm on drugs. Which I suppose goes to show that he's very in character.
Yeah, I've never watched Rick and Morty but I feel he has a very strong grasp on those two's character anyway.
And meanwhile I keep feeling like I've completely Flanderized Ben's character.

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither. Now I kinda want to see a day where there's a frequent mob of enemies for our characters to fight and it's essentially another endurance test.
Zombie Apocalypse day, maybe? Drop the Left 4 Dead zombies in the city and go wild
Maybe zombie from multiple franchises into one and watch the chaos unfold....
"Well before, I did it with reckless abandon. Now I can't control myself!" ~ Jesse Cox, 2014I've only seen one episode and I personally think they are spot on.
Clickers. Make it happen.

Oh man, I can't see that becoming a disaster at all, no sir.
Even Ben might have trouble taking on hordes and hordes of zombies (though some of his more powerful forms like Four Arms and Cannonbolt might be able to weather through it). I would say Stinkfly could just hover over them and spit goo and they wouldn't be able to touch him, but Left 4 Dead's Smokers could easily lasso him back down to earth.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither. Also, don't worry about the blonde hair business Truthhurts, it's easy to chalk it up to Trevor being...you know, crazy.
Crazy he may be, but he ain't stupid.
Aw, thanks. Always nice to receive praise.
@zombie apocalypse: all I can say is that there'd better not be any Glowing Ones in the mob...
ugh the ghouls in fo4 are super super annoying
Glowing ones?
Also I realized, even if Ben did manage to weather zombies as Four Arms or Cannonbolt, he'd only be able to do so for like 15 minutes before the Omnitrix times out and he goes back to human form. Then he's a sitting duck for 10 minutes.
So yeah, a zombie apocalypse would be godawful for poor Ben.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither. You know what would be really dangerous in a Zombie Apocalypse?

Actually, according to Super Smash Bros, ReDeads aren't actually zombies at all. They're really nightmarish clay constructs created by Ganon in the image of zombies, while the real townsfolk managed to evacuate.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither. There's a whole lot of pseudo-zombies called zombies out there, like how Headcrab Zombies are more like people with horrific parasites than true undead. Maybe it would be "Zombie (and Zombie-Associated Persons) Apocalypse Day".
I mean you could just call them "Undead" and be done with it.
Actually that's no the point you were trying to make there. Whoops again.

Ah, yes Clickers are on the same category but because the origin of the term zombie is more about losing one's self control, they probably qualify.

I think that might be just the Ocarina of Time ReDeads?
The ones in Wind Waker are said to be undead
And even Majora's Mask seem to imply they're undead

Apparently Ganon tried to make them seem like undead in order to freak Link out for the lulz.
That said, you probably have a point.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither. It's a good strategy. Scare your enemy into submission and stuff. Psychological warfare.
Smash Bros trophies tend to be a little unreliable when it comes down to info
Hm. The Star Wars version of zombies are the Rakghouls, which were created(By who else?) thanks to Sith sorcery.
Ugh now I'm getting super bored flashbacks of having to go through Taris in both KOTOR and TOR
-Spider Lizard Noises-While there aren't many undead characters in Undertale (there's ghosts but there's no indication that Sans and Papyrus are undead considering the latter thinks humans are descended from skeletons, they were likely born as skeletons) I imagine that some might end up thinking Sans is part of the mob and attack him, especially if they didn't interact with him prior to it happening.
Another funny thought would be the zombie mob completely ignoring Sans which would allow him to pretty much literally sleep through the zombie apocalypse
My question is if translation applies to written language as well?
