@Michael Dj 54: I know of Kamen Rider due to previous signups from it, but I'm not intimately familiar with it; I found the character entry for Tsukasa so I'll check that out, but it'll probably have to wait for later tonight, or tomorrow. Whether the sheet is accurate or not though, there's one glaring issue sticking out; you mention that he can use the "Rider Cards" to transform into and gain the powers of other Riders, but without listing what those powers are, that basically tells us nothing. Also that backstory isn't long at all although I suspect you wrote that as a joke.

@Truth Hurts 22: Of course, no worries. Were you gonna bring back an old character or sign up with a new one?

  • Story: Mob Psycho 100. Specifically just after the events of Episode 3, and before the events of Episode 4.note
  • Name: Kageyama Shigeo, also known as Mob note
  • Age, gender, and species: 14, male, human/esper.
    • Espers in Mob's world are people who have the natural potential to have psychic abilities. Their powers range from the mundane to the incredible, and can be tied directly into their emotions. There are also artificially enhanced psychics as seen in the Claw organization, although this incarnation of Mob has yet to encounter them.
  • Appearance:
  • Personality: An awkward, slightly timid, and otherwise bland and uninteresting outward appearance disguises an emotionally complex boy desperate to live up to his own self-inflicted idealism and moral standards. Initially coming off as emotionless, Mob has actually developed a complex; since his powers are directly tied into his emotional state, he feels obliged to bottle up almost every major emotional reaction within himself in an attempt to avoid letting his powers go out of control. He doesn't fully seem to realise this as being his own doing, as it is almost a subconscious procedure at this point, but he does seem to be at least aware of his impassive nature as he finds himself occasionally apologising on behalf of it. Unfortunately, anyone who has attempted to force themselves in becoming emotionally withdrawn will be familiar with the gradually expanding turmoil of repressed emotion within Mob that escalates over time as a consequence to his trapping of them, and even despite his impressive ability of holding back he can find himself 'leaking' in dire situations, clawing desperately to regain control only to end up accelerating himself further into his inevitable spiral into an emotional breakdown. These so-called 'explosions' are thankfully infrequent, however they tend to creep up on both Mob and the people around him, and the final push can occur from something as small as too little salt in his meal to something as traumatizing as seeing a loved one assaulted without being able to act on their behalf. Mob comes across as quiet and slightly clueless, seemingly unable to read the atmosphere and being occasionally too blunt and direct in his words, but the kid means well, unafraid to humiliate himself if it means a heartfelt apology and determined to live up to the morals ingrained in him by his mentor; Arataka Reigen.
  • Backstory:
    • All seemed to be going decently in Mob's life; barring a few cruel mockeries and insensitive comments on his naturally bland emotional nature and difficulty to amuse from his peers, and the young Mob was even developing an adorable puppy-love for his classmate Tsubomi, freely displaying his psychic abilities to make frogs fly and playground sets wobble in an attempt to impress her (naturally, the gimmick wore off after a while and the girl soon moved on to admiring the track runners and hard-working athletes instead of a random kid's god-given ability). Apart from this, Mob seemed to be a normal (albeit shy and reserved) kid, up until an event involving a group of bullies assaulting him and his brother for cash while they were walking home one evening. Desperate to protect his younger brother, Mob made a stand against them, only to be swiftly knocked unconscious with little to no effort. However, mere moments later, an unknown source manifested from within him as a vile, unidentifiable presence, severely injuring the bullies along with his brother. To Mob, it was as if he had blinked, and the trauma left on his impressionable mind affected him to the deepest level.
    • Fearing for the safety of the others around him, Mob eventually found himself under the direction of the 'genius psychic' Arataka Reigen (who was actually a masseuse looking for a wider audience and had jumped at the chance of bringing an actual esper into potential apprenticeship for his new career as a spiritism 'expert' and exorcism consultant). Reigen, despite his fraudulent nature, felt pity for the young boy, and offered him genuine life advice to help Mob with his inner turmoil. He taught him that psychic powers were no different from any other gift such as singing and dancing, and that 'you can't put one over the other.' Finishing up his explanation by comparing psychic powers to knives that should be handled with care (or as Mob understood it; shouldn't be pointed at people), Reigen continued to be a guiding presence in Mob's life, eventually taking him under his wing as 'assistant' to the Spirits & Such Consultation Office for 300 yen an hour (even though Mob has done most if not all of the work so far). After defeating the leader of the cult [LOL] – a religion based around forcing happiness onto its followers – Mob is feeling emotionally refreshed from his assurances by Reigen regarding the matter.
  • Skills/powers/abilities:
    • Psychokinesis: Mob's most obvious ability. Through sheer force of will, Mob can telekinetically manipulate even multiple objects at a time, with little strain on his physical state (although mental tiredness may affect him somewhat.) For the purposes of balance, this ability requires Mob to concentrate somewhat – namely to work out which object to manipulate and/or how many beforehand, lest he end up flinging it haphazardly in the opposite direction. This ability also allows him to create thick, bubble-like translucent barriers of psionic energy, affect the gelatinization/matter state of the object(s) under his control (to a minor degree, mainly warping the shape), enhance his physical capabilities (i.e. by focusing psionic energy to his fists for more powerful punches), and allow him to expel powerful beams of psychic energy. Mob hasn't refined his skills due to his dislike of using his powers against people, so he primarily relies on the overwhelming force of his powers' potency instead of any actual strategy or fighting knowledge, meaning he can be caught off-guard by someone with actual skill. (Again, for better balance, Mob's abilities can only be used on inanimate objects – unless explicit permission has been granted from other players for their characters to be affected).
    • Energy Absorption: An ability only made manifest in 100% mode and ???% mode, the latter of which is activated subconsciously. This effectively allows Mob to boost his capacity for psychic power by absorbing local energy and matter into himself, be it from the psionic supplies of other espers or from the atmosphere itself (within a spherical range of about five metres). Avoidable and interruptible – either keep your distance or perform a surprise attack on him from a distance. Or lunge for him before the draining effects can fully take effect. (I expect it would manifest as just a general, gradually increasing fatigue effect on PCs in the radius of the ability – any other drainage effects is up to them).
    • Energy Transfer: Allows Mob at 100% Trust/Gratitude to transfer his entire psychic capacity to a comrade, allowing them to access his abilities for a limited period of time. Tactile-based, requires either 100% or ???% mode to use. After a short while, the powers of the new user will drain out and return to Mob. Note that the potency and effectiveness of the abilities may vary depending on the individuals' psychic potential in comparison to Mob, as well as their familiarity with using such or similar abilities. For example, a genetically altered cyber-soldier with an enhanced brain might have a more potent output, and an individual who already has superhuman powers might have a better idea on how to control them than the average joe.
    • 100%: The eventual result of Mob's emotions overflowing, represented by a (purely external/narrative-driven) percentage meter that will gradually build up over time. In this mode, Mob will act according to the emotion that has leaked out, be it 100% Rage, 100% Tenacity, 100% Trust, Gratitude, Sadness, Regret, etcetera. His power usage in each of these so-called Explosions also reflect his emotional state; Rage may cause him to act in an offensive, infuriated manner, his powers being used to attack, Trust may cause him to activate his power transfer ability to the person he is trusting in (albeit only if physical contact is initiated), Regret may manifest after a Rage outburst and cause him to attempt to reconstruct whatever he's destroyed in his explosion, and so on. Note that Mob's power level never actually changes – Mob reaching '100%' is purely just a representation of a specific mental block assigned to one of his many suppressed emotions breaking, and his powers simply react in accordance to his turmoil. Latent abilities, such as the energy transfer and absorption, are only unable to be accessed in Mob's usual state because of his adamancy against using the destructive side of his powers, which naturally may change if he's clouded by emotion and is acting based on rash impulse. Thus, if his mental state was balance out over time, theoretically he may eventually be able to better control these specific abilities. For now, though, at least, they are limited to particular emotional Explosions only.
    • ???%: An unknown, extremely violent state that awakens whenever Mob is knocked unconscious, differing immensely from the other Explosions in that it is vastly more unpredictable and doesn't react according to a specific emotional state; using every one of Mob's abilities, latent or otherwise, without a hint of holding back. It seems to be instinct-driven, and is essentially all of Mob's latent psychic potential unsuppressed and acting by its own accord, ignoring Mob's ingrained moral standards in favour of manic lashing-out at perceived enemies. It can be halted by a trusted person of Mob approaching him for reassurance, or by a strong psychic (or multiple) to infiltrate his mind and awaken Mob manually, which is much more difficult. Mob is unaware of this particular Explosion, but if informed of its existence he will undoubtedly be overcome with intense trauma and regret. Note for Firock
  • Items: Nothing more than the clothes on his back and the flip-phone in his pocket.
  • Other:
    • A running motif is percentage meters, such as Mob's Stamina: 0% or Progress to Mob's Explosion: 57%, for example. The former type may show up for comedic purposes, but the latter type describing Mob's emotional state is absolutely noteworthy. It's keeping track of an impending Explosion.
    • Speaking of motifs, here's a couple for Mob.
    • And on a final note, Mob loves milk.
Also takoyaki. And ramen. But especially milk. And frogs. To look at, not to eat. They're cute.

...

So, yeah... that happened.

@Enirboreh: Mob Psycho 100 is another thing I am aware of the existence of but only know surface details of, so again I'll have to check accuracy another time, as I actually need to get going for the night right after sending this post, basically. Accurate or not, though, there are some serious balance concerns...

Pretty much, just the stuff listed in the psychokinesis alone is already pushing the character strength limit, although I suppose that depends on the strength I choose to interpret from your wording on some of them. Telekinesis is a particular problem ability I've still been mulling over an answer to; the issue is that telekinesis usually by its inherent function is essentially impossible to dodge, which actually makes it against my rules as written. I am still not yet sure how to get around this, since it would be entirely unfair if Shigeo can just fling someone around by the clothes/armor they're wearing and there's no defensive option like blocking or dodging that they can do. The best I can think of is just an effect built into the city by the reality warping deity that no telekinesis can affect anything being held or worn by anyone; or the person directly. Also warping someone's weapon so it becomes unusable would also be broken, so same thing to the, "affect the gelatinization/matter state of the object".

... Anyway, as for the other things, your sheet actually does not really explain what "100% mode" and the "Explosion" are; only some of the things that are made available by being in 100% mode. The energy absorption description is confusing because you describe him absorbing energy and then say it's avoidable and interruptible... How does one "avoid" Shigeo absorbing more energy from the environment around him? Or is there supposed to be some special attack there that you accidentally deleted the text of/forgot to type?

The energy transfer sounds somewhere between potentially broken and/or a pain in the butt to balance properly, plus your wording about it depending on the subject's own psychic potential suggests that it maybe should just be something that doesn't work on people who aren't from his own universe, anyway.

And the ??? just seems entirely too broken to even be allowed at all. Shigeo going into an automatic subconscious mode when knocked unconscious, maybe, but him getting stronger during it- at all- absolutely no.

I wasn't intending for the telekinesis or gelatinization effect to directly affect other players and their accessories unless given explicit permission from them. The main intention of usage was environment only; a la rocks and rubble or small-to medium sized objects. I'll add that in a mo. Flight I was a bit iffy on, and I may remove, as a side note. And as added detail, the enhancement of physical capabilities is basically him focusing psionic energy into his fists and the like to make his punches more punchy.

I genuinely forgot to clarify 100% mode there. Guess I thought it was self-explanatory. Whoops! I'll add that in too...

Energy absorption I envisioned as occurring in a limited radius. Say, a spherical shape X amount of metres in diameter. One could retreat and not be affected.

Energy transfer is contact based which I again bloody forgot to mention, despite it cropping up in the back of my mind, and the limitation of 'psychic potential' basically means it depends on the intelligence of the new user as well as of their brain has been enhanced in any way. Like a cyber-soldier might have genetic alterations or something, and he'll have a better grip on controlling the output. Or a person who already has supernatural powers, and thus has a better understanding on how to work them. Especially if they themselves are already psychic in some way. It affects all people with a brain, I imagine.

And ???% is absolutely fine as you offered. I was already iffy on it like I was with the flight. I'll rectify it as being just Shigeo on automatic mode; lack of moral inhibitions as opposed to enhanced power.

Edit: Changes made. Please do tell if it's any better when you get back.

Alright, sorry fellas got distracted tonight; still need to check character info for accuracy but I have taken a look over the edits, so let's see...

@Michael Dj 54: Looks good; only thing I'd say should be clarified is that I had no idea what a "dragon rod" was supposed to be until I did a quick google search. (Some kind of double ended spear thing, apparently?) So that's something that I don't think would be obvious to anyone else who doesn't know about Kamen Rider.

Only other comment for me to make now before checking the info is that it does seem like you're possibly suggesting in the back story that Tsukasa gets to the city via his own power. To be clear, that would not be the case; it could happen coincidentally at the same time he was traveling so that he might think he got there via his own power, but it wouldn't be. Also, he wouldn't be able to leave the city via his own power either.

@Enirboreh: Well what you intended with the telekinesis/gelatinization and what its main use is for doesn't really solve the issue I brought up unless it's made a rule that that's the only way he can use them at all within the city. (Or if I'm being cynically minded, there's no guarantee that you're not just lying to me right now so you can break the rules later, but it doesn't seem that way.) Even if you got another player's permission for Mob to telekinetically fling them around by their clothes/armor, that's still Mob doing something that was impossible to dodge or block in any way, so it still breaks the rule, permission granted or not. Also something I should maybe go ahead and make clear now is that this stuff isn't just for other PCs, but also NPCs; as far as the city and deity are concerned in universe, there isn't really a difference between PCs and NPCs, so anything you're not allowed to do to another PC extends to the NPCs too.

I did not clearly understand that energy absorption was the attack in question, by sucking up other people's energy. In hindsight I suppose that's something I should have been able to piece together. My only concern with it now is, since it can still work just on the atmosphere around himself, doesn't that mean that so long as it's active he basically has an endlessly renewable source of energy? The only balance against that is that it's not active all the time I suppose, but the problem with that is that as it stands it seems like when Mob reaches his 100% emotional explosion is entirely arbitrary and decided wholly by you.

Going on, everything new you just said about energy transfer... Doesn't really respond to what I actually said about it in my last post. Although, I think I misread a little part of it, and I get the idea now, so I think that shouldn't be a problem.

Oh, and also, the flight was never really an issue, so long as it's not like, super fast or something.

@Enirboreh: Oh yeah, I remember now; somebody signed up with Reigen from Mob Psycho 100 a while back, though has since switched characters. Anyway, I have read through Mob's character trope entry, and while your sheet seems accurate to a point, there are some things I noticed were missing. Although, the issue is that some of these apparently he only learns later on, so I'm not sure if he would have them at the point you're taking him from, namely:

Astral projection, being able to use the energy absorption and energy transfer even when he isn't at 100% yet, and controlling plant life. (Including being able to create some kind of giant gaia tree, but of course I don't think I'd allow that part...)

Also, there was a mention of him being able to copy powers he sees other people using, which is another thing I don't think I'd really allow for him to do in the RP.

Well, first of all let me preface by saying that this overly analytical manner and objective way of doing things is already alienating me from the freedom and genuine nature of the character. If I feel as if it's become too sterile and manufactured to fit into this setting, then I'm afraid to say I can't get behind the character without these rules and limitations cropping up and mentally stagnating me. So I'm sorry to say, but I most likely won't be partaking in this if I have to get through this proverbial obstacle course of editing a character sheet until the end result is blatantly unrecognizable and missing the core purpose of the character in the first place.

Though I guess it's my fault really. ONE's characters tend to be purposefully against conventions and power limits if only to deconstruct and illustrate a point.

All that said, I'll still address some of the issues. And graciously ignore your clinging onto what I thought was pretty much spelled out to you context-wise (the telekinesis and gelatinization being objects-only. I purposefully left that unclarified so that was to be the case and provide you with the initiative in constructing an in-game excuse, but your delivery of it was frankly too passive-aggressive for my liking.)

Anyway, onto addressing the issues. First of all, energy absorption. In my mind, it would have been limited to within the radius. And the 100% mode would have been built up by me, yes, but it is one of the few things I hold dear in my sense of pacing and handling of character emotions. I am of the same general personality type as Mob, and can relate to him in this type of emotional repression and the consequences that come with it, and so I thought a tiny bit of trust instilled in me as a player of decently developing writing skill would be in hand. Apparently not, and fair enough.

And the point of the missing powers. Yes, that was on purpose. Astral projection, chlorokinesis, energy absorption below 100%, and instant skill learning are all cans of worms I had no intention of opening. I knew full well of the inevitable difficulties in scaling down a Super Weight 4 character into a Super Weight 3, plus I did clarify that this Mob was pulled from between Episode 3 and 4 of the anime – hence lacking these abilities. Again, I guess I thought context would come naturally.

Also, the point about 100% Mode being "arbitrary" and "decided purely by you" is missing the point of it being an abstract term for an emotional breakdown. Of course it's arbitrary, and is up to my interpretation of his mental state by definition.

Overall, I apologize for my own air of criticism, but if this is the general attitude of the players as well, I can't see myself gleaning much of any enjoyment out of it. It's for the same reasons I can't get into tabletop RP Gs and the like – all this faffing around and stress buildup with crap I don't actually care about that leaves me unsatisfied with what I actually intend to focus on in an RP. Personality. Development. Emotions. Psychosis. If I can't readily access these things without wading knee deep through a stress-pool of schedules, rules, and an implied lack of at least a vague sense of trust in my ability as a writer, I will not partake.

That said, thank you for your intense study of it nonetheless, as it shows to me that you truly care about the structure, balance, and experience of your players. But sadly, I don't think I can function well, and especially when added on to the other R Ps I'm taking part in. Ta-ra, and good luck!

Yeah I changed some things around for the purposes of keeping the balance proper, and I changed the description of the Dragon Rod.

Honestly, I had a feeling it would be out of his hands in terms of dimension warping. I didn't mean to imply he was hopping dimensions to get here, rather, just stating that IS what he does. So yeah I agree, he's not here on his own volition, and sure as heck can't leave.

Uh, I think you're applying a much more hostile "tone of voice" to the text of my posts than was intended, but if that's the way you feel, then alright. I wish you luck in your other endeavors.

@Michael Dj 54: Ah, alright then. I wanted it cleared up ahead of time, just in case, you know? Anyway, I think it all looks good to me then.

Tsukasa Kadoya AKA Kamen Rider Decade is accepted.

We are at least sort of close to the end of the current day; I'm hoping it'll be wrapped up no later than next week, but it's hard to say right now. It would probably be easier for you to integrate Tsukasa into what's going on if you wait until the next day starts, but if you'd rather not wait then it's fine if you want to jump in now.

Whether you wait or not, be sure to check out the first post of the main thread to see what Tsukasa's entrance should be like, and check out the first post of the discussion thread to see stuff like a description of the city and other useful information. If you don't want to wait, also check the current day rules, obviously, and you should probably also read the last couple pages or so of the main thread to have an idea of what's currently going on.

  • Story: D&D...Technically.

  • Name: Brogan the Muscle Wizard Extraordinaire.

  • Age, gender, and species: 45 in appearance. Actual, age is something closer to 142. Male. Human.

  • Appearance: A tall SWOLE gentleman with a magnificent mustache wearing suspenders.

  • Personality:

    • A boisterous bruiser with a heart of gold, Brogan is a Lawfull Hero that protects the innocent and punches villains in the face with glee. Like all Muscle Wizards, he naturally enjoys a good scuffle and has a disdain towards other schools of magic.

  • Back story:

    • Brogan was born in an Arcane enclave in the north to an Elementalist mother and an Abjuration specialist father. As he grew he was introduced to many different schools of magic from conjuration and divination to necromancy and transmutation he found most of them not only dull and tedious; he was also exceedingly bad at them. No matter the teacher or the school he was unable to learn anything beyond the basics, much to the disappointment of his parents. Eventually, at the end of his rope and with days left to find a master that would take him on so that he would have anything to present to his parents. After being turned away or losing his spot to more able applicants, Brogan was at the end of his rope. He made his mind up to leave the Enclave and make his way in the world in any way he could.

    • As he made his way to the gates that night just as was about to leave a massive hand engulfed his shoulder and as he stood there a voice like an avalanche spoke. "And where would you be going, young Applicant?" as Brogan tensed in fear and looked up into the face of the massive man who held his shoulder he realized something mainly, that he was looking into the bearded face of Earthbreaker Kerrick. One of the masters that usually went unseen due to his irregular travel schedule and extended absences from the Enclave. As Brogan explained his predicament and listed the problems that caused had lead to him attempting to leave as he walked with the Earthbreaker. After Brogan finished and as they sat in the mediation area Kerrick nodded and after a moment of contemplation offered Brogan a choice. Come with him on his next expedition, learn from him, and if at the end of three years he hasn't learned anything of value then he was welcome to leave with some gold and a recommendation from the Earthbreaker.

    • Brogan made the best decision in his life and agreed to that offer.

    • 20 years later Brogan the Muscle Wizard and Hero, fought to save the world.

  • Skills/powers/abilities:

    • Brutal Punches: Brogan's Fists are hardened weapons of sinew, bone, and skin. He is more than able to punch his way through plate armor and stone walls.
    • The Body of Steel: Brogan's body has been trained to take blows from creatures that can shred iron and crush fully armored soldiers.
    • The Speed of the Swole: Brogan's does not forget leg day. and has a base speed of 60 MPH

  • Actual Spells:

    • The Flex of healing: Brogan Flexes and the pure majesty and force of the act has a healing effect on those who can see it.

  • Fist: easily one of the most flexible spells that a Muscle Wizard can use by focusing the full might of their swole. There are three separate uses that a Muscle Wizard may apply Fist for:
    • -Fist of Sir: Brogan punches the air producing force and sound in a straight line from his fist until it hits something. About the same amount of power as his actual punches.
    • -Ground Pound: A blow to the ground that shakes the earth around Brogan in a small circle. The shaking is severe enough that those who are unprepared for it are knocked down.
    • -Serious Fist: A punch that has been used to send giants, dragons, and other sufficiently large beings to their doom.

  • Items:
    • Gauntlets of YUUUGE!: Gauntlets made of a strange black metal that can withstand Brogan's Punches. Strangely comfortable

  • Other: Brogan has a strange fear of boars. Wonder how that happened

Is this sheet good enough for it?

City of Lost Characters only accepts canon characters, not OCs. You could play a character from D&D, but it would have to be one of the established NPCs like Elminster or Drizzt Do'Urden or someone else. This, however, sounds like a player character, unless you just didn't link/explain the story/game/whatever he originally came from.

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.

Oh ok then. Gonna make another sheet, this time a canon character. Also, what is the limit of movement speed?

The only limit of movement speed is "not so fast that they can effortlessly dodge attacks and can never be hit". Either way, that's what the nerfs are for. My character has one of his alien forms that, in canon, moves over 400 miles per hour. That is far too fast so Firock had me nerf it down to 60 or 70 mph and accepted. You would have to ask Firock about details, and it would depend on the extent of your character's speed.

Hmm, I'm going to make a Genji sheet, is he okay for this RP?

From Overwatch? Absolutely, just get that written up and as long as the signup is in order, just have Firock look at it and he'll tell you whether it's good to go or if changes need to be made.

  • Story: Overwatch

  • Name: Genji Shimada

  • Age, gender, and species: 35. Male. Human(Cyborg to be exact)

  • Appearance: Go Ninja, Go Ninja GO!

  • Personality:

    • In the past, Genji was a playboy that had been more content with enjoying life than running his family's criminal empire. After his near-death experience, Genji dedicated himself to demolishing his former consortium. However, he began to have an existential crisis and self-loathing regarding his cybernetic state after his mission. It was not until he encountered Zenyatta that he made peace with himself.

    • Genji is a faithful and tolerant idealist, forgiving Hanzo for leaving him on the verge of death and still having hope that he can change himself for the better. At times he shows wisdom, picking up some of the things that Zenyatta has taught him.

    • Despite his hardships, Genji maintains a sense of humour, jokingly calling himself "Green Cyborg Ninja Dude". He also seemed to enjoy arcade games and ramen before he became a cyborg.

  • Back story:
    • Genji was born into the Shimada Empire three years after his brother Hanzo. As the younger child, Genji inherited the clan's wealth and power without any responsibilities. Though he was trained in sword fighting, including the use of the Dragonblade, Genji was able to enjoy a playboy lifestyle.

    • Most of the clan saw Genji's carelessness as a liability, but his father didn't mind. When their father died, Hanzo's first action as its new head was to convince Genji to take more responsibility in the clan. Genji refused, and a fight broke out between the two that left Genji injured, scarred, and on the verge of death. He was secretly rescued by Overwatch agents and nursed back to health by Dr. Angela Ziegler, a.k.a. Mercy.

    • Overwatch's doctors and scientists developed cutting-edge prosthetics for Genji that enhanced his natural speed, agility, and reflexes. With Overwatch's support, Genji began to dismantle the Shimada Empire. As time went on, however, Genji felt repulsed by his mechanical half and left Overwatch due to the decay of the organization.

    • After drifting for many years, Genji met Zenyatta, a member of the Shambali that helped Genji to come to terms with his new existence. Genji moved into their monastery in Nepal with Zenyatta as his mentor. Exiting it after he achieved peace with himself.

  • Skills/powers/abilities:
    • Enhanced Strenght: Due to his cybernetic body, Genji is stronger than a human who achieved peak physical performance, he's able to cut through steel with his sword, even if it's kinda difficult.

    • Enhanced Durability: Genji can take a lot more punishment than a normal human, from being smashed through a wooden wall to taking hits from a giant gorilla. Genji's armour plates are also resistant to knives, although bullets will still hurt him just fine.

    • Cyber Agility: With the help of his new cybernetic body parts, as well as his years spent honing his natural skills as a ninja, Genji is capable of amazing acrobatic feats. He is capable of running up the sides of vertical surfaces, and even jump from a vertical surface to a nearby horizontal one, like a catwalk.

    • Deflect: Having spent much time practicing and concentrating on perfecting his swordsmanship, Genji has turned his style into an art form. With his sword, Genji is capable of holding his ground and deflecting the enemy's weaponry back at them. He has deflected gunfire from small pistols and machine guns to even a small barrage of missiles once. However, his blade is unable to deflect laser or thermal weaponry back at an opponent. In addition, his concentration is so intense he cannot move from his spot once he defends, requiring help so no one can hit him from behind.

    • Swift Strike: Genji darts forward, slashing with his wakizashi. The speed of the charge is much faster than his normal Cyber Agility, although this technique has a cooldown of eight seconds due to its tax on Genji's stamina.

    • Dragon Blade: His Ultimate Technique, this move alone took Genji the better part of his life ever since he first held a blade to not only perform but perfect passionately. Channelling his inner strength and funnelling it through his ōdachi, Genji rushes into his foes and slices them intricately, carefully-each sword stroke a masterpiece in the making. His inner energy is manifested through the sword and makes the sword stroke lethal. However, he is only able to do this ability in a small 20-degree cone in front of him. In addition, he cannot afford to use his shurikens at the same time, making using this move in anything except melee range suicide.
Equipment:

  • Master Swordsman: Renji is a master of Iaijutsu, the art of striking, wiping the blood off and rapidly sheathing your blade. The only one that is said to surpass him in swordsmanship in his brother Hanzo.

  • Items:
    • Ryū ichimonji: The name of the Katana Genji wears with him. This blade was one of his own makings, and one his father encouraged his youngest son to make, so as to continue on the family's lineage, and make his own mark on history. Genji has allowed no one else to hold it, is the only one to hold it or repair it.
    • A wakizashi
    • A series of shurikens stored in his arm.

  • Other: Genji is pretty good at dancing, video games, and archery too.

Here it is.
