• Story: New Danganronpa V3 (Between Chapter 3 and 4)
• Name: Kokichi Oma
• Age, gender, and species: 16, Male, Human
• Appearance: As a note, Kokichi is 5'1"
• Personality: Kokichi is a liar. You don't even need to spend five minutes with the guy to know that, he'll have told you himself. He loves to joke, goof around, and tell lies of any sort, using his deceptive nature in order to mask any truth of himself to others. His lies also serve to help him manipulate others. Don't be fooled by his appearance (or do, that's sort of the point), Kokichi won't hesitate to use and trick others into furthering his own goals. When he isn't enacting devious plots, Kokichi entertains himself. The kid can barely go a minute without proclaiming his boredom or doing something to fix it, and with his idea of fun being what it is, he tends to make enemies fast. Of course, underneath the thick web of falsehoods that make up Kokichi is a lonely kid who hates seeing people suffer. He's simply so adverse to being serious that he can never be forward with whatever help he gives.
• Backstory: Kokichi is an Ultimate (a high school student with an exceptional talent or skill, leagues above anyone else), specifically the Ultimate Supreme Leader. He, along with 15 fellow Ultimates, were recently kidnapped by a maniacal mechanical bear and forced into playing a game - a game where only one student will leave, if they can get away with murder. A part of the killing game involved everyone's memory being erased, so Kokichi and his "friends" could only remember their Ultimate talents and nothing else. Since it the game began, three students have tried and failed to win the game. Now that there was a lot less than 16 students, everyone tried to build trust among the remaining few...except Kokichi, who had claimed the entire time that trust and cooperation wouldn't save them from the game. This mindset, along with his constant antagonizing of the rest of the group, quickly made Kokichi something of a black sheep, and few people wanted to deal with him. Due to his nature, he's secretly helped the students survive, mainly finding ways to lure the culprit out of hiding, or allowing his friends to grow, albeit in roundabout ways. The few times he comes across as genuine are when he gets angry over something, such as killing (ironically) or when people act hypocritical.
• Skills:
  • Keen Intellect: Due to being the Ultimate Supreme Leader - and a frequent liar - Kokichi is much more intelligent than he appears. He's good at analyzing people and seeing what makes them tick, and he often keeps himself a step ahead of everybody. (Not an actual thing to meta, just something that seemed important to note.)
  • Lock Picking: Somewhat of a weird skill to have for a Supreme Leader, Kokichi is quite adept at picking locks. Just gives him a few seconds with a locked door and his lock-pick and he'll have it open for you in no time.
• Items:
  • Lock Pick: A couple of special lock-picking needles your ordinary thief uses. Nothing fancy.
  • Monopad: A special tablet that is used by participants of the killing game. Keeps track of the regulations and rules of the killing game, though doesn't do much else.

@Truth Hurts 22: I don't really know this game and my friends didn't either, but I've read through the character tropes for Kokichi and I believe I have a decent grasp of the character now.

Which leads me to easily say that this signup is denied in its current state. Just because the character is a habitual liar is no reason for your sheet to lie as well for some kind of meta in-joke; these sheets need to be a decent source of info for people who don't already know the character, so they can get an idea of who the character is. While not as bad as that Deadpool signup a while back, your signup also fails to properly tell who the character is, and is only clear that you're familiar with the character to someone who already knows the character and is in on the joke.

So you need to rewrite the sheet to tell about who Kokichi actually is; not the lie that he presents.

Ho boy. Did I really sign up to this all that time ago with *Aeon Friggin Calcos*? Well, times have changed since I was last around...

Is this a filler post to let folks know I'm looking at getting back onto the horse? Sure, why not. Also, kinda asking if I'm considered a problem yet, due to my old dropping habit?

@Truth Hurts 22: As I mentioned in skype, his dislike of killing and hypocrisy (or at least hypocrisy about lying) should still be mentioned in the sheet I think. Other than that, yes it looks good now.

Once you add that in, Kokichi Oma is accepted.

@Plumbum: People are free to drop out and come back; that's not really an issue for me, no. The only time it would be a problem is if people were waiting on your character to respond before they post, and even then I'd only be personally ticked off if you had done it while being key in a big plot point or something. Since you never posted with Aeon at all and thus never had anybody waiting on you, then obviously that problem didn't happen.

In fact, seeing as your Aeon signup was accepted, then if you still want to play as him you can go ahead and jump in with him. Though if you do, I'll ask that before that you read the first post of the main thread to see what his arrival would be like, then read through the first post of the discussion thread to see what the current day rules are and the description of the city and such. Recapping the last few pages of the main thread to have some idea of what's currently going on wouldn't hurt either.

Nah, honestly I've not been playing Soul Calibur and I'm slightly bitter that neither Soul Cal V or Soul Cal 4 are on the XB 1 backwards compat list, so I can't play.

Truthfully, I'm most likely to pluck a character from Fire Emblem. Probably not one of the ones in smash, mind. Nothing against those guys, I just prefer characters like Hector or Celica or Soren or... hell, I dunno.

Well, whichever character you want to play, as long as you're familiar with them. Just get a signup written up, and we'll get it worked out.

As mentioned in the skype chat, these are the abilities I missed.

• Feather Bullet: Non-lethal feather flechettes which are fired from a small pair of wings Eve grows out of her arm. Fairly weak, they instead are fired fast, and a lot of them can be fired very quickly. They hurt, but cause no serious injuries. Also her only ranged attack.
• Flash Step: In high adrenaline situations, Eve is capable of moving so fast that she appears to blur and appear somewhere else. This includes while flying, but has a couple of drawbacks. For example, because she moves so quickly, one she has decided her destination, she can't change it. It's also possible to intercept, due to her not teleporting, but just moving very fast (work out where she's going and stick out an arm, and she'll either break your arm or knock herself out).

@Feather bullet: In terms of balance I have no issue with this, but in your original signup you explained that Eve basically can't have any inherent ranged attacks, because anything her nanites create will rapidly degrade to the point of uselessness as soon as they're no longer in contact with her body. So what gives there?

@Flash Step: Pretty much denied. Even with the downside, in terms of effective mechanical use, the flash step would provide Eve with either the ability to dodge an attack in a way that she can't possibly get hit by it, a way to attack an enemy in a way that they can't possibly avoid, or potentially even both at the same time. It may not technically be against the rules of my signup when taking them exactly as written all rules lawyer style, but functionally and practically, it is.

• Feather Bullet: To be honest, that's the author going against his own canon. The best explanation I can give is that the Feather Bullets are made out of half-formed nanomachines, since that's the canon one. What that has to do with it, I have no idea It's also possible that the rapid decomposition isn't a bug but a feature, since the Feather Bullet is designed to be non-lethal anyway, and it disappearing in the wound would presumably help with that, somehow.

TL:DR: I have no clue.

Per Flash Step: I'm fine with that, it was just niggling at me that I didn't mention it.

Also, I hate to do this to you, but there was one highly situational thing I forgot. For reasons never quite extrapolated upon, but heavily implied to be because she's the prototype for them all, Eve gets feverish when nanomachines from her world are activated anywhere nearby (nearby being a large radius, along the lines of 10km). Unlikely to matter, unless someone goes and signs up as Creed, but just in case, I thought I should mention it.

Typically having metallic substances dissolve inside your body is in fact a terrible thing for your health, but fictional world, fictional rules. I'm curious, do the feather bullets have a range limitation because of the dissolving aspect? Either way, they should still be fine.

And the fever thing is also fine; it will in fact not matter for the time being.

Feather Bullet: Presumably, but it's never expressly stated. Seems to be about 3-10 metres.

Also, that 'for the time being' is making me paranoid.

So, hi. I'm Pokesonic Legend and I plan on joining here as Lucina and Ciel Phantomhive. Though I have a question. Would Ciel's powers be 'Too OP' for this RP? Because I would nerf them- I barely know what they are anyways..

Since Firock, the GM, won't be on for a while, I'll try to explain a bit.

You can't be both Lucina and Ciel. The rules state that for someone to play multiple characters, the characters must be deemed "inseparable". For instance, Rick & Morty would be inseparable because they don't work as characters alone as well as they do together, or if the two characters supplement each other (I don't think there's an example in the roleplay, but say, Maka and Soul Eater would count as inseparable since the latter is a weapon only the former can use).

Would help to read through the Op a bit before you try to join, so you understand the guidelines and etc.

If it can be nerfed, it can be played.

That said if you barely know your dude's powers in the first place then maybe you might want to know them better before you play them in anything.

Also, uh, considering both of those dudes are from different franchises and thus definitely are not a duo, are you intending to play those dudes at different times or at the same time? Because you can't play both at once. The only way you can have multiple dudes is if they're two characters who either physically can't exist independently or are heavily characterized by being with the other.

@Pokesonic Legend: I assume from your initial posting in the main thread, your mention of previously roleplaying on Discord, your double posting here, and that searching for posts under your handle brings up hardly any at all, that you're presumably new to the TV Tropes forum.

One main thing: This is a forum, not an instant messenger. The pace of how things go here and what's considered acceptable behavior is pretty different. Before diving head first into the deep end, you should read through the forum's general rules, and the RP sub forum rules.

• Skills/powers/abilities:
  • Rally Defense: Hector can boost the defenses of allies in range temporarily.
  • Pavise: Small chance to halve physical damage.
  • Indoor Fighter: Hector becomes more agile and accurate indoors.
  • Distant Counter: Hector can counterattack any ranged attack from any distance.
  • Spur Atk 2: Buffs the attack of allies by a small amount at the start of combat.
  • Hector is powerful physically and can resist magic. He is also very skilled. He is also slow in comparison to other people of Elibe. However, he is fast enough to dodge lightning and keep up with foes that can travel faster than the normal human can see.

• Items: 
  • Armads, the Thunder Axe: Legendary, powerful axe imbued with the power of lightning. Resembles a scythe in Fire Emblem: Awakening, but is much closer to an axe. Hector uses his off hand to hold Armads and switches to his right when he scores a critical hit. Weaker against sword users.
    • Armads summons lightning when Hector is about to land a critical hit, shown with Hector twirling it over his heads at speeds the human eye can hardly follow before he slams it into the ground. Hector is never shown to use the lighting summoning power of Armads as an attack.
    • Armads dooms its user to a death by battle, meaning Hector will eventually die in battle.
  • Silver Sword: A rugged yet powerful sword made of silver. Used similar to an axe. Weaker against lances.
  • Hand Axe: An axe that can be thrown from a distance (probably around 5 yards maximum). Weaker against swords.
  • Elixir: A potion that fully heals whoever consumes it. Can only be used 3 times before it is depleted.

• Other: Has a sensitivity to dark magic and fire magic. Literate, likely in modern or Shakespearean English. Slightly familiar with the idea of a gun due to Fire Emblem Heroes.
