Eh, sure. I'll join.
The fact that only 140 characters are allowed here is honestly so disappointing to me....Seeing as how Person of Mass Destruction characters are allowed, I'm going to have to pass, because I know exactly how it goes when I bring an abnormal weight into a game with hyper weights. But have fun, everyone who does join this!
I think I'll probably join this.
I know exactly what I'm going to do if I join this. My character will become JOHN CENAAAAAAAAA!
...Okay, kidding. But really, count me as interested.

Just pretend I wrote something witty here, okay?I'm in. Now, which of my Room concepts should I use, or should I just scrap them all and come up with something new...?
Or maybe I should just be Danny Phantom
Depending on the setting, I might join.
Some people say I'm lazy. It's hard to disagree.I think this sounds like a lot of fun.
"I'm as free as the dust in the solar wind."I'm game, it sounds like fun.
Is it selfish that I'm happy as we pass the setting sun?Interested.

Edit: Also for clarification: Do we play as a character who just so happens to be one at the beginning meaning we were the characters we play since birth, or do we wake up one day and are like 'Hey, why the hell am I one of my OC's now?!?' meaning we got transformed at the beginning?

"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"I will play too, if that's ok.
Old habits die hard, especially when no one else lets them die either.@Sergey: You transform in the beginning.
Creator of the Avatar Arena and its Discord server.Kay, seems doable, one last thing, do we know that we transform, like did we want to transform or does all that just happen?

Something something Arena.Interest
GIVE ME YOUR FACEPretty sure part of the premise is that it just happened, and now we gotta deal with it.
"We can handle what is true, for we are already living it."Oh alright, I'm interested.
I might do this, as long as it doesn't go too quickly. That was a bit of a problem for me last time I did one of these on TV Tropes- it was hard to keep up.
I have only one question: When do we start already?

"We can handle what is true, for we are already living it."I'm not sure what I should turn into though... I guess that depends on the setting! Will there be natives/NP Cs to interact with?

Hmm... any thoughts for a setting, guys?
Creator of the Avatar Arena and its Discord server.Let's dump ourselves on a spaceship because why the fuck not.
The fact that only 140 characters are allowed here is honestly so disappointing to me.Meh. Imma vote not spaceship.
Maybe something similar to ours and not only are people changing but landscapes as well, like a park could suddenly turn into a magical fey forest and a train subway could turn into what you'd expected from a MMORPG Dungeon Raid.
Basically there's a mystery a foot of why this is happening and the PCs investigate while dealing with the threats of the changing landscape...or the ones who choose to anyways, the others go on with their lives through the strange changes to them.

Welcome to the Great Troper Change Fest!
In this freeform roleplay, you, the Player, must follow a simple premise: the fact that you are no longer the same person that you are before. One day, everything was normal, but now, well...
In what way are you different, perhaps?
Well, there are many possibilities, but they revolve over these five choices:
A) You now have supernatural powers.
B) You are now a fictional character (Original character or pre-existing character, whatever your choice), but you don't have their memories or personality. Everything else, well, is yours.
C) You have undergone a Gender Bender.
D) You are no longer human, and is instead (insert race/species) race.
E) Combine A, B, C, and/or D.
There's another consequence: you are no longer in Earth, and you're in another setting!
What will you do now? And, moreover, are you even certain that you won't undergo another change?
Rules
The ultimate rules: do not be an asshole; during fights, you must not ghost, autohit, or ignore an attack; you must not ruin a moment other than to be a jerk; do not force other players into a plot or fight that they don't want to be in; and, of course, remember to respect the GM(s).
There must be no characters with a power level that exceeds Level 4 in the Super Weight. If it does exceed Level 4, find a way to downplay it. And, as another thing, Level 4 is the maximum level, but Levels 2-3 are the recommended and advised power level to use.
And, again, do not be an asshole OOC. That will guarantee you a ban.
Players are now also allowed to change more than once to add to the RP's whimsical atmosphere.
The Setting
Some of the setting's properties can be changed at will by the players, although they will need to post such a change in header format and announce it on the Discussion page as well to avoid confusion. The setting itself is listed on the Discussion page. A full setting change, however, will require at least four players' agreement. Then, a poll will start. The setting to get the most votes will be selected.
The atmosphere
The Troper Changefest is a relatively lighthearted and whimsical freeform roleplay that places an emphasis on character development and interaction as the characters try to adapt to the sudden changes brought onto them. However, no serious plots will be allowed until some of the characters involved have developed well enough. And, no, a completely grimdark and despairing atmosphere is not what this roleplay is going for.
When the plots are allowed, all players are required to post their ideas in the Discussion page, detailing the premise and other necessary information regarding it. I, the GM, will have the final word on whether or not to allow your plot to take place.
As another note: no, this is not a survival roleplay, although a spinoff might appear soon. Necessities like food and water will be available at any given moment.
How to join the game
As a freeform roleplay, people are allowed to hop in, but they should announce their presence first in the Discussion thread before joining in the fun.
The roleplay thread.
