Mount Desert Island

     DiMA (Main Character)
  • Age: Over 100 years old
  • Appearance: Here.
  • Personality: The leader and co-founder of Acadia, DiMA is intellegent and philosophical, eager to work on new scientific discoveries or solutions to the Island's diplomatic problems. While Acadia was founded as a safe haven for Synths, DiMA is not stingy, and is happy to coexist and share with strangers who are willing to do the same with him. On the other hand, he is perfectly capable of taking extreme and lethal measures to protect Acadia, and has in fact done so multiple times before removing such incidents from his memory.
  • Powers:
    • Synth Body: DiMA is a Generation 2 synth, his body created by The Institute to further their shadowy research. DiMA's mechanical body means he doesn't have to eat, sleep, or worry about the dangers of radiation, and he has greater control over his body and greater physical resistance than the average human. Otherwise, DiMA is an almost perfect replica of a human, capable of actions such as swimming and feeling pain.
  • Equipment:
    • Automatic Plasma Pistol: DiMA keeps a high-tech, high-powered rifle that fires bolts of superheated hydrogen gas.
    • Memory Banks: DiMA has memory banks stored all across his body which allow him to alter and backup his memories at well.
  • Backstory:
    • DiMA is a Generation 2 synth, and is one of two early prototypes created by the Institute to test if synths could handle independent thinking and judgement. While DiMA was allowed to freely develop his own personality through experience, his brother was outfitted with alternating, pre-existing human personalities. The two formed a close sibling relationship while in the Institute together. DiMA, not being able to bear seeing his brother put through the Institute's cruel experiments, decided to run away with Nick and the duo eventually managed to escape. Nick did not recognize his brother after escaping and attacked him on the spot, still thinking he was the pre-War Nick Valentine. DiMA was forced to go it alone, and ended up on Mount Desert Island to hide from his former captors.
    • DiMA began searching for a new home for escaped synths on the Island, and befriended Confessor Martin, the local leader of the Church of the Children of Atom. Alongside Faraday, a synth scientist that acts as his assistant, and Chase, an ex-courser that DiMA was able to convince to defect from the Institute, DiMA went on to found Acadia with the intention of creating a safe place for synths to live freely and not have to hide their nature. From there, DiMA was able to develop fog condensers to protect the residents of Far Harbor from the Fog, which consequently angered the Children, as the Fog is sacred to them.
    • Unfortunately, following initial forays, it turned out that Far Harbor was very xenophobic and hostile to synths. In response to attacks and harrassment, DiMA formulated a plan to pacify the town's residents. Captain Avery was kidnapped, murdered, and replaced with a synth duplicate, unaware of her identity, who slowly but surely nudged the town towards tolerance. In the event the town discovered the truth, he also prepared a killswitch that would shut down the wind turbine and cut power to the fog condensers, allowing the Island to consume Far Harbor. As with other unpleasant memories, he forced himself to forget about it.
    • DiMA continues to watch over Acadia and work on a solution to the Island's new troubles caused by the Children of Atom, completely unaware of his previous crimes.
     Nick Valentine
  • Age: Over 100 years old
  • Appearance: Here.
  • Personality: Nick Valentine's gruesome visage betrays his personality: Nick is a warm, genial machine that inhabited a world populated by many cold and vicious humans. An officer of the law in his past life, Nick stands for good morals and justice no matter what situation he is in, and will go out of his way to help those in need. Nick also keeps a good sense of humor and a sharp wit with him, and takes special care to look the part of a hard-boiled detective. But underneath his rubber skin, Nick holds deep doubts in his identity, as he is aware that he is a clone of a man who died ages ago, and he has never let the memories of his fiance or his arch-enemy from the pre-war days go away.
  • Powers:
    • Synth Body: Nick Valentine is a Generation 2 synth, his body created by The Institute to further their shadowy research. Nick Valentine's mechanical body means he doesn't have to eat, sleep, or worry about the dangers of radiation, and he has greater control over his body and greater physical resistance than the average human. Otherwise, Nick is an almost perfect replica of a human, capable of actions such as swimming, feeling pain, and smoking cigarettes.
    • Hacking: Nick Valentine has a mind for numbers, and is capable of hacking into RobCo terminals.
  • Equipment:
    • Pipe revolver pistol (with comfort grip): Nick owns a handmade revolver made from rusty steel as his personal weapon, chambered for .45 rounds.
    • Two packs of Grey Tortoise cigarettes: Because even androids can't kick the habit.
  • Backstory:
    • Nick Valentine is a Generation 2 synth, and is one of two early prototypes created by the Institute to test if synths could handle independent thinking and judgement. For years he was experimented on, having various personalities and memories from former humans loaded into him. Despite this, he and DiMA grew a family-like bond to one another, due to being the first and only synths of their kind. This was until DiMA grew to resent the experiments being performed on him and his "brother." The two synths managed to escape, but not before the Institute uploaded a new personality and memories in DiMA's brother. The synth, now identifying himself as a Pre-War police officer named Nick Valentine, in a state of confusion due to suddenly "waking up" 200 years in the future, attacked DiMA. DiMA was left with no choice but to knock Nick out and leave him behind. After regaining consciousness in a pile of garbage an unknown amount of time later, Nick wandered the wasteland in a state of confusion for several weeks.
    • Nick Valentine used his pre-war detective skills to start the Valentine Detective Agency in Diamond City, helping out anyone who could not be assisted by the largely corrupt Diamond City Security. By the year 2287, he received a lot of business from a lot of clients. One such client was Kenji Nakano, who reported his daughter had ran away from home, up towards Maine. Nick took the Nakano family's boat up to Mount Desert Island, to the town of Far Harbor. There, he was reunited with his brother DiMA, though he was ultimately unable to continue his investigation the way he hoped.
     Old Longfellow
  • Age: 70s
  • Appearance: Here.
  • Personality: Old Longfellow is a seasoned hunter who has seen and experienced just about everything the Island can offer, and a veritable legend in Far Harbor. His age and experiences made him cynical and he hits the bottle of whiskey a bit too often in recent years. Longfellow is prickly towards strangers, dislikes synths, and despises the Children of Atom.
  • Powers: N/A
  • Equipment:
    • Lever-action rifle: The lever-action rifle is a large-caliber weapon designed to kill even the biggest animals, chambered for .45-70 government rounds.
  • Backstory:
    • When he was a young man, Longfellow was in a romantic relationship with a girl named Hannah and the two had planned a future together. The Children of Atom's followers attacked the pair at their hideaway deep within the fog and abducted Hannah. Left for dead, Longfellow eventually made it back to civilization. It took him two months to recover from his injuries and by then it was too late for Hannah. The Children's zealots had brainwashed her mind and converted Hannah to their ways. Hannah was pregnant, but suffered a miscarriage due to the radiation she worshiped and was exposed to, claiming it was "Atom's will" for it to have happened. Hannah afterwards fell victim to the insane trappers that roam the Island. Longfellow became an embittered shell of a man, mostly regretting the death of his unborn child. Longfellow now serves as a bodyguard for hire, offering his experience to any travelers who can pay for it, but he secretly wishes to pass on his skills and experiences now that he's in his silver years.
     Captain Avery
  • Age: Middle-aged
  • Appearance: Here.
  • Personality: Captain Avery has lived on the island her whole life and has more than one story to tell about it. As the informal leader of Far Harbor, Captain Avery does her best to keep Far Harbor away from war and open to outsiders.
  • Powers: N/A
  • Equipment:
    • Combat Shotgun: A semi-automatic, magazine fed shotgun that has a rather heavy recoil.
  • Backstory:
    • The real Captain Avery was the leader of the Harbormen and spoke against the Children of Atom. To calm the people down and prevent conflict, DiMA killed Captain Avery and altered a synth to look exactly like her and take her place in Far Harbor (even to the point where the synth would believe she is the real Captain Avery by modifying her memories). The duplicate Captain Avery is open to the idea of the Children of Atom being on the Island.
     The Mariner
  • Age: Adult
  • Appearance: Here.
  • Personality: Compared to the other Harbormen, The Mariner is pleasant and intelligent, and quite welcoming towards outsiders. Her main priority is keeping Far Harbor and its residents secure and safe from the dangers of the Island.
  • Powers: N/A
  • Equipment:
    • Combat Rifle: A medium strength, semi-automatic battle rifle, chambered for .45 rounds. .
  • Backstory:
    • The Mariner is one of the residents of the town of Far Harbor. She was the original inhabitant of the pier on which the town of Far Harbor was built and is in charge of the town's defense and upkeep. While initially resentful of the intrusion on her residence and lifestyle caused by the growing fog, as the years passed The Mariner became more and more concerned with protecting and uniting the residents of Far Harbor. The Mariner is suffering from an incurable disease, and she hopes she can establish Far Harbor as a self-sustaining community before she passes away.
     Erickson
  • Age: Unknown
  • Appearance: Here.
  • Personality: Erickson is a super mutant who possesses human intelligence and a calm demeanor, a rarity for his species. Erickson is content with living in the wilderness with his dogs, but will happily host and trade with strangers who come to his camp.
  • Powers:
    • FEV Mutations: Erickson is a super mutant, having been exposed to excess amounts of the Forced Evolutionary Virus. His strength, musculature, and resistances to radiation and disease are enhanced to superhuman levels.
  • Equipment:
    • AER9 Laser Rifle: A high-end and sturdy laser rifle charged by fusion cells.
Backstory:
  • Erickson originally came to the Island with a mutant group led by the super mutant behemoth, Grun. They headed south to the Vim! Pop Factory and began raiding local settlements. Sometime after setting up in the factory, Erickson began to regain higher intelligence and a sense of morality, either as a result of the fog or substances in the Vim! factory, subsequently losing interest in wanton killing.
  • When Erickson confronted the other super mutants with his concerns, they threatened to kill him, with Grun taking a swipe at him. Eventually he found the password to a storage area and was able to trap Grun inside. While the other mutants attempted to free Grun, Erickson quietly left for the northern part of the Island. He lives a solitary existence in the wreckage of Horizon Flight 1207, trading with the humans that enter his camp and raising dogs to sell.
     High Confessor Tektus
  • Age: Elderly
  • Appearance: Here.
  • Personality: High Confessor Tektus is the fanatical and power-hungry leader of the Church of the Children of Atom, and his recent actions at the helm have lead the Children into becoming an expansionist, militant cult. While he looks down upon the Acadians and despises the Harbormen, Tektus is much more genial with outsiders who haven't interfered with his plots.
  • Powers:
    • Radiation Resistances: Tektus has an innate ability to resist levels of gamma radiation that would be dangerous or even lethal to regular humans, possibly the result of a mutation.
  • Equipment:
    • Gamma Gun: A crude, handmade pistol that uses nuclear power to fire small blasts of harmful energy.
  • Backstory:
    • High Confessor Tektus has been a Child of Atom for over a decade, since the days of Confessor Cromwell. He eventually left Megaton with Confessor Martin to settle in Maine and eventually rose to the rank of Zealot. After Martin left, Tektus became the High Confessor and he began to take a far more aggressive stance against the Harbormen.
    • He believes that the Island is Atom's holy land, and all its inhabitants must worship His glory. Though he is willing to maintain peaceful relations with the Acadians because they supplied the Children with the Nucleus, he is vehement in his hatred of the residents of Far Harbor, frequently deriding them as heathens and sometimes even sending some of his followers to sabotage their defenses.
     Mount Desert Island (Chunk)

Map of the Island

Before the Great War of 2077, Mount Desert Island was a famous holiday location off the coast of Maine, known for the town of Bar Harbor and the Acadia National Park. The transistor was not invented until sometime after 1947, causing technology and culture to develop differently. 90% of the Island's population was wiped out on Saturday, October 23, 2077, in a series of nuclear attacks that destroyed civilization. By 2287, Far Harbor and Acadia are the only habitable settlements on the island, and much of the Island is coated in radioactive fog. The cult of the Children of Atom has also established a stronghold on the Island, based within a pre-War submarine base, called The Nucleus. The climate is cold and wet, dark and dreary, accented by rolling pockets of radioactive fog and frequent radioactive thunderstorms among rugged terrain and menacing woods. These rad-storms are especially frequent on the southern end of the Island, near the Nucleus. The flora and fauna of the Island are dangerous, mutated by the radioactive fog that blankets the Island, and super mutants, irradiated ghouls, and hostile raiders populate much of the abandoned countryside.

  • Locations:
    • Far Harbor: Formerly a dock in the town of Bar Harbor, Far Harbor is now home to the harbormen and women, who've built a settlement well defended against the Island's wild creatures and one of the last not consumed by the Fog. Captain Avery acts as the leader of Far Harbor and the Harbormen.
    • Longfellow's Cabin: Old Longfellow's residence is linked to Far Harbor by a land bridge that extends towards a private island. Good place to tool up your gear, get some rest, or get stinkin' drunk.
    • Acadia: DiMA's safe haven for outcast synths, settled inside and around a mountaintop observatory. The fog does not reach high enough above sea level to affect Acadia.
    • Horizon Flight 1207: This camp was formed inside a crashed jet airliner crash site, and is inhabited by a non-hostile super mutant named Erickson, who raises and trains various canines.
    • The Nucleus: The Nucleus is a pre-War submarine base owned by the United States Navy before the bombs fell, and is now owned by the Children of Atom. The waters inside and around the Nucleus are heavily irradiated, which suits the Children just fine.
    • Southwest Harbor: A former settlement that was overrun with fog and abandoned. It now belongs to a family of trappers.
    • Atom's Spring: A highly irradiated spring that serves as a holy site for the Children of Atom. Drinking from its waters is not advised.
    • Vim! Pop Factory: This old pre-war soda factory has now become a base for the super mutants infesting the Island. Grun, the leader of the super mutants, is locked away within the bowels of the facility.

  • Factions:
    • Harbormen: The Harbormen populate the docks of Far Harbor, many of them are fishermen who combat the dreadful creatures of the Island. They also consist of refugees, who had to flee their homes when the Fog covered much of the Island. The Harbormen dislike the Children of Atom, and are somewhat prickly towards outsiders. The Harbormen are lead by Captain Avery.
    • Acadia: DiMA's save haven is populated exclusively by escaped Generation 3 synths, though DiMA keeps his doors open to all.
    • Church of the Children of Atom: A militant cult that worships gamma radiation and its sources, based in the Nucleus. Most members of the Children cannot be harmed by the gamma radiation they worship, as a result of mutations or evolution. The Children are on poor terms with the Harbormen, but are neutral towards outsiders.
    • Trappers: Trappers were once ordinary fishers and hunters, but have been driven to madness by the horrors of the island and its radioactive fog. Now insane cannibals, the Trappers act as raider gangs terrorizing the wilderness.
    • Feral Ghouls: While they can easily be mistaken for zombies, Feral Ghouls are actually horribly irradiated humans whose brains have rotted away, causing madness.
    • Super Mutants: Massive, musclebound creatures that are the result of evolutionary experiments on humans. Most Super Mutants consider themselves to be superior to other races, and attack other sentient beings for food and sport. Grun is the leader of the Super Mutants.

  • Specialties:
    • The Fog: The fog is slightly radioactive in nature, and therefore dangerous to the residents of the Island, except for members of the Children of Atom, who are immune to radiation. While the fog has engulfed many of the regions that are swampy or below sea level, fog condensers created by Acadia are capable of protecting small areas from the effects of the fog by condensing the fog into a liquid form, and elevated areas extend above the fog's reach. The fog only exists outdoors, and interior locations are safe from the threat of radioactive weather.

So I'm thinking of returning/playing, and I'm wondering, what's the limit on character generation? Like could I use a Player Character from a video game where character generation is a key factor, and justify them as being one specific timeline of character?

Or should we stick with specifics only outlined in canon, say the original Vault Dweller who does have a documented canon.

I'd need to know the exact example. Heavily dependent on a number of factors.

Will get to you soonish Tails.

Say a Courier from a New Vegas playthrough at level 50. Sort of a blank slate that does have personality in their options for speech.

Hmmm, ya that's a little too unestablished. Something like a Dragon Age protag or something where you can point at something like "Renegade Shepard" or something like that would be fine, but not a total blank slate.

Talon

  • A terrorist organisation of the future, filled with soldiers, scientists, adventurers and oddities, all with different agendas in mind, and none of them good for the world. Under the direction of its current head, Talon's central ethos is of a Darwinist bent: conflict and war is the crucible through which humanity evolves, the strong survive, the weak are forgotten. To that end, for over a decade Talon has traded in smuggling, arms trafficking, assassinations, illegal substance trade, and attempting to restart a Robot War. At every turn, they've been opposed by Overwatch, an international task force and superhero team in all but name. Let's see how some of Talon's key fighters operate without such interference...
  • Every member of this team has an Ultimate Ability. This could passively charge by the tiniest increments over time, but will charge significantly more for each bit of damage done to an enemy.

______________________________________________________

  • Name: Akande Ogundimu, aka Doomfist
  • Age: 45
  • Appearance: "Only through conflict do we evolve." Without the gauntlet.
  • Personality: Intelligent, charismatic, dangerous to know. Of all the members of Talon, none hold Talon's core philosophy in higher regard than Doomfist. He values strength above all else, and judges others from their prowess in combat, and how long they last against him. Though he cares little for those he deems weak, he often presents himself as charming, even affable, in casual conversation, and tolerates ulterior ambitions among his lackeys. But to those who cross him, he is as cold and hard as metamorphic rock. Doomfist relies both on intuition and in reading his opponents moves to get ahead of them, in the arena, or even in the boardroom.
  • Powers: Doomfist is already incredibly strong and fast, and fully trained in a wide array of fighting techniques. He's studied African martial arts, Dambe and Gidigbo included, along with wrestling and more modern combat styles, incorporating those techniques he finds most effective. His prosthetic right arm now affords him even greater strength, enabling him to- after several punches -burst though a thick concrete cell wall. It has also been augmented with extensive cybernetics to properly interface with his gauntlet.
  • Equipment: On his left hand, Doomfist sports a simple cybernetic glove equipped with a Hand Cannon. This can fire a shotgun-like burst of energy from the knuckles, having the capacity for four rounds which automatically reload after a short time. On his RIGHT hand, however, is Doomfist's iconic gauntlet. Rumour has it that it could level a skyscraper, but this has yet to be demonstrated. It has, however, been shown to let Doomfist toss an average-sized car. It also comes equipped with a function that matches Doomfist's idea of The Best Defence... It can briefly generate a forcefield barrier that decays over time, activated whenever Doomfist uses his Hand Cannon, or any of the following tricks:
  • A Rising Uppercut that can knock up to two people into the air, a Seismic Slam whereupon he leaps forward and smashes the ground, causing a shockwave that knocks enemies towards him, a Rocket Punch where, after a short charge, he can lunge forward up to twenty two metres with enough force to send a cyborg gorilla sailing through the air, and, of course, his Ultimate Ability, the Meteor Strike. Once fully charged, the propulsion on the gauntlet allows him to leap tens of feet into the air, and come down in a strike that shatters the ground and deals significant damage to those around.
  • Backstory: Three men have wielded the gauntlet and moniker of Doomfist, all of whom have patrolled Numbani, a West African city where humans and robots Omnics live in perfect harmony. The first was his city's Saviour, the second was its Scourge. The story of their Successor, however, starts in Oyo, Nigeria, where young Akande was born into a well-to-do family that owned a great technological prosthetic company. This bright young lad devoted half his time to bringing his family's company into a bright tomorrow, and the other half to his love of competitive martial arts. With a bevy of fighting styles to learn from, along with a prodigious body and mind, Akande fought with the best of them in competitions all over Africa. But then came the Omnic Crisis, a global war between man and machine, and in the thick of it all, Akande lost his right arm. Obviously, his company provided a more than sufficient replacement, but this left him ineligible to ever compete again. His career was over before its peak, and no matter how he tried, Akande couldn't devote himself to business like he'd been devoted to combat.
  • Then one day, he was approached by Akinjide Adeyemi, the Scourge of Numbani himself, and offered a job as a mercenary. Trepidatious at first, Akande soon found this was just the thing he'd been looking for to fill the hole in his life. In time, he was introduced to Talon, and their philosophy of strength through conflict spoke to his life experiences. On the field, his enhancements powered him through battle, and among the leaders, Akande parleyed his boardroom skills to get ahead through the internal power struggles. Talon soon began to see the ambitious Akande as a far more valuable member than petty raider Adeyemi. Then, following a power vacuum opened by a certain incident in Venice, Akande slew his mentor, took his gauntlet, and ascended to a position of high ranking commander as the new Doomfist.
  • Doomfist had a bold vision in mind, of conflict subsuming the entire world. Unfortunately, he would suffer a setback in Numbani, as an Overwatch strike team caught up with him. One massive battle later, Doomfist was defeated. His gauntlet was taken, later put in a museum, and he himself was taken to a supermax prison to be incarcerated for years to come. He bided his time in that period, taking newspaper clippings to keep himself abreast of current events. In this way, he watched the world turn against its protectors, the disbanding of Overwatch, and the global climate slowly but surely turning towards a new kind of turmoil. Eventually, Talon staged a prison escape, providing an exit path after he punched his way out of his own cell. Not long after, he recovered his gauntlet in a ferocious battle in Numbani. The OR-15 defence robots never stood a chance. Doomfist returned to an organisation that had been tilted towards profit in his absence, but after disposing of the odd rival in the council, Doomfist resumed command of Talon, ready to draw his plans to start a war.

  • Name: Gabriel Reyes, aka Reaper
  • Age: 58
  • Appearance: "Death walks among you."
  • Personality: Gabriel was never the nicest man, gruff and dismissive in his better moments, always a little too eager to indulge in envy and callousness, and has in fact gone on record identifying as a high-functioning psychopath. After his accident, Reaper has taken his now-chronic agony as reason to toss out whatever redeeming qualities he had left, and now vindictiveness and wanton cruelty are all you're ever likely to get out of him.
  • Powers: Thanks to his altered biology, Reaper's cells simultaneously decay and regenerate at a hyper-accelerated rate. This cheating of death, or perhaps living death, has allowed him to survive the total destruction of his body once before, and grants him a few abilities on the battlefield. First and foremost, there's The Reaping, as for every blow he strikes against an enemy, through guns or through melee, he steals a sliver of their health for himself.
  • On a more active level, Reaper can assume a Wraith Form at will, changing himself into a fast-moving cloud of black smoke for up to three seconds at a time, during which he can neither attack nor be attacked. He cannot assume this form if stunned just beforehand. Then there's his Shadow Step which lets him teleport to a level surface in his line of sight, up to thirty five metres away. Capping things off is his Ultimate Ability, Death Blossom. In a blur of motion so fast it leaves after-images, a half-wraith Reaper empties his shotguns in every direction, dealing massive damage to any enemy within eight metres of him.
  • Of course, there's one other strange foible to his attacks: the fact that whenever he's finished shooting, he's prone to tossing away his guns and drawing two more from his coat, and yet never seeming to run out of guns. One can only assume this bit of hammerspace is part of his abilities too. Either that, or the same four guns keep dissipating and regenerating.
  • Equipment: Reaper's weapons of choice are his twin Hellfire Shotguns, each one having four rounds of fire. As referenced above, he would appear to have a great deal of these guns.
  • Backstory: Gabriel Reyes was born in Los Angeles, and grew up to become a well-regarded senior officer in the US military. Having achieved veteran status, he would earn a coveted spot in the enigmatic Soldier Enhancement Program, where military scientists moulded him into a soldier of peak physical condition, with strength, speed and stamina the envy of most men. Now dubbed Soldier:24, Gabriel's skill would be put to the test as the world was plunged into the Omnic Crisis. As the American government tried and failed to contain the mechanical menace, the United Nations was forming an experimental task force comprised of the best and brightest the world over. Only two enhanced soldiers made their list: Gabriel, and a plucky idealist by name of Jack Morrison, codenamed Soldier:76. The two soldiers became firm friends, and together they became part of the front line of defence against the rogue Omnic forces: Overwatch.
  • Gabriel was put in charge of the team, but in time the UN was rankled by his maverick style, and Morrison did a better job inspiring the group in the long run. Because of this, Morrison was granted the position of strike commander, the first official commanding role of Overwatch, and Gabriel was instead made commander of Blackwatch, Overwatch's new covert ops unit. Gabriel was placed in charge of a darker, more pragmatic sort than before, and among their number was disgraced scientist Moira, who not only provided valuable input on genetics, but performed experiments on Gabriel that granted him some eerie new abilities.
  • The Omnic Crisis passed, two decades more followed it, and over this time, things started to get more tense between Gabriel and Morrison. Morrison would still come to Gabe's defence more often than not, but Gabriel resented him for getting all the praise and statues in his honour while Blackwatch operated in secrecy. Then the terrorist group Talon came to Overwatch's attention. A year of cat-and-mouse gave them the name of Antonio, a supposedly legitimate businessman in Italy who had a hand in recent Talon attacks. He had too many friends in high places to get brought down by force, so Blackwatch was to play the long game in undermining him. But then a Talon agent blew up the Blackwatch facility in Rome, with barely any survivors. Shaken by this tragedy, Gabriel took his team for an unofficial 'road trip' to extradite Antonio from his Venetian compound. But when faced by his guests, Antonio coolly reminded them how this mission would hurt Overwatch's image, and how his connections would have him freed within the week. Gabriel saw his point...and took it upon himself to put a bullet through Antonio's head.
  • Things could only go downhill from there. Blackwatch was now common knowledge, Overwatch would be put through the public relations wringer and on a personal level, the rift between Gabriel and Morrison grew ever deeper. It would take only a couple years more for all of this to hit the flash point. In the middle of a UN investigation spurred by media criticism, Gabriel lead half of Overwatch in a vicious rebellion against Morrison's leadership. In the mighty struggle that ensued, an explosion brought down the Swiss Overwatch Headquarters. Both men were presumed dead in the explosion. Both reports were greatly exaggerated. But whatever remained of Gabriel Reyes was not a pretty sight, and from then on, he dedicated himself to finding Morrison, and any remaining Overwatch agents, and finishing what he started.
  • It was at this time that rumours spread of the legendary Reaper, a volatile phantom fighting in armed conflicts across the world, showing loyalty to no group nor cause, a shadow on the battlefield leaving lifeless husks with intensely degrading body cells in his wake. Though his nature was a mystery to the world, he would become well known indeed as a member of the high council of Talon. Now he fights on the opposite side of the line from before, but his priorities are very clear. Not long ago, he undertook a mission to steal a portion of the old Overwatch database, so now he has a well-established list of the old guard of Overwatch. He will not rest until everyone on it has been put in the ground by his hand.

  • Name: Moira O'Deorain
  • Age: 48
  • Appearance: "Science will reveal the truth."
  • Personality: Moira is a woman of science, but not so much a woman of care or scruples. Her primary interest is in humanity and the art of genetics, and so she pursues her scientific curiosity to areas most would consider insensitive and unethical, and scoffs at any talk of caution or restraint. In conversation, she has the sly, confident air of a femme fatale, and has a tendency to toss in casual insults, or pry into sensitive areas of one's life- in the interest of science, course.
  • Powers: While it's unclear whether this is an equipment power or genetic alteration, Moira does have the ability to Fade for just under a second, turning invisible, invulnerable and undetectable while boosting her speed for that moment. She must wait at least sixty seconds before pulling that stunt again.
  • Equipment: Moira's harness allows her to wield biotic energy, which can affect a target's health. Her Biotic Grasp is a spray of such energy fired from her hand. The yellow beam from her left hand heals a specially tagged ally (i.e. fellow Talon agents) within fifteen metres of her, while the purple beam from her right hand damages an enemy within twenty one metres, drawing a decent portion of their lost health into herself. She can also launch a Biotic Sphere, a floating, rebounding orb to heal OR harm multiple targets within five metres of itself. Every five subjects affected this way makes some headway to changing her Ultimate Ability, Coalescence, a tremendous thirty metre torrent of energy that bypasses energy barriers and simultaneously heals allies and harms enemies.
  • Backstory: Not much is known of this Dublin-born geneticist's past. The heavy scarring on her right hand was certainly the result of genetics work gone awry, but her heterochromia might have been there from birth or from another such genetic slip-up. Moira first made waves a decade ago when she published a paper on a methodology for custom genetic programs to alter DNA on a cellular level, potentially overcoming disorders and maximising human potential. It certainly seemed promising to her, but in a post-Omnic Crisis world, recklessness advancement would not be tolerated in the scientific community. Not only that, but other geneticists were unable to replicate her results, further adding to the backlash that crippled her career before it began. Even Overwatch joined in the controversy, in a move Moira saw as attempted censorship. But then came an unexpected lifeline. Blackwatch needed a genetics advisor, and Gabriel Reyes personally recruited her for the job.
  • Her career at Blackwatch was a complete secret, but without restrictions her work advanced faster than ever. She worked with different members of Blackwatch, providing strange experiments on Gabriel in particular, and developed all sorts of different weapons and technologies for the organisation. She even took part in missions on the field, and was there during the infamous Venice Incident. Amongst the many inquiries and accusations that followed this, her research was uncovered and high-ranking Overwatch Officials disavowed any knowledge or association with her. After Overwatch's dissolution, she was forced to turn to more unconventional sources for her funding. There was that invitation to become Minister of Genetics in the Iraqi city of Oasis, but then...there was also the many opportunities provided by Talon, a road which would lead to her taking a seat on the council.

  • Name: Amélie Lacroix, aka Widowmaker
  • Age: 33
  • Appearance: "One shot, one kill."
  • Personality: Cold, patient and ruthless in efficiency, Widowmaker is moulded to be the perfect model of an assassin. She has been conditioned to feel no remorse, no emotion at all, save for the satisfaction of a job completed. In spite of this, however, she may get the brief flash of an emotion from time to time, like frustration, overconfidence, or even...old regret?
  • Powers: Besides her extensive skill in covert arts, her altered pulse rate means Widowmaker feels unaffected by low temperatures.
  • Equipment: Widowmaker's weapon of choice is the Widow's Kiss. This thirty-ammo gun has two separate modes: a scope-aimed sniper rifle that gets through a tenth of the magazine in one shot, or a fully-automatic assault rifle firing at ten rounds per second.
  • She will also equip herself with whatever gadgets it takes to eliminate her targets. Her gizmos include a Grappling Hook with a cord of twenty metres, and a launchable Venom Mine that sticks to just about any surface and greets anyone that comes within three metres with a burst of poison gas.
  • Her Ultimate Ability is the Infra-Sight in her recon visor. Upon charging, this allows her to view most individuals as a red silhouette visible through walls. The programming of this visor can be adjusted to give priority targets yellow silhouettes (Sombra can handle the image upload), and have tagged allies show no silhouette, but have a tiny blue icon hover over their heads instead. This vision has roughly fifteen seconds of charge.
  • Backstory: Amélie Guillard was raised in Chateau Guillard, her ancestral home in Annecy, France. The sweet young girl grew up to become an accomplished ballet dancer in Paris, before meeting the love of her life, Gérard Lacroix. As it happened, the man who would be her husband was a high-ranking Overwatch agent, spearheading anti-Talon operations with Overwatch and Blackwatch alike, and it was thanks to him that she would meet some of Overwatch's old guard. Talon had tried time and again to eliminate Gérard, and one day, they decided to change their tactics. Amélie was kidnapped, taken to a Talon base, and broken down by an intense regimen of neural reconditioning. Overwatch agents managed to recover her, apparently no worse for wear, and she returned to her normal life. Two weeks later, she went to bed with Gérard, and during the night, quite by reflex, killed him in his sleep.
  • The reprogrammed Amélie returned to Talon, presumed by Overwatch to be kidnapped again, and the Talon agents worked to complete her transformation. They trained her to strike from the shadows. They numbed her to all emotion. They altered her physiology, slowing down her pulse rate, causing her skin to turn an indigo hue. Amélie Lacroix was dead. Widowmaker was all that was left. She was present when Overwatch sent a strike team to free some hostage scientists, and managed to take out a number of attacking agents. To the present day, she has consistently proven herself to be one of Talon's most effective operatives. The assassination of spiritual leader Terkhatha Mondatta is a particular point of pride for her. She's also worked more than once alongside Reaper, though successes may have been hampered by outside interference. Finally, in between her many assassinations and clandestine work, she has found the time to, funnily enough, take a visit to a certain graveyard, and pay her respects to her late husband...

  • Name: Olivia Colomar, aka Sombra
  • Age: 30
  • Appearance: "Everything can be hacked...and everyone."
  • Personality: Mischievous and capricious, Sombra will use every underhanded tactic at her disposal to get what she wants. She never misses an opportunity to mock her peers for their shortcomings, even if she engineered said shortcomings herself, but that same arrogance may be her undoing, and lead her to miss blind spots in her covert activities. Mainly she looks out for herself, having no real friend-making skills outside of coercion. But if there's one positive trait hard-wired into her attitude, it's her love of puzzle solving and her drive to get past any lock put in front of her.
  • Powers: Sombra is an expert in computer hacking and cryptography, one of the most notorious hackers in the world. A cybernetic graft implanted into her spinal cord makes her essentially a living computer, interfaces with the many devices she wields and, befitting an Opportunist like her, allows her to see the glowing silhouettes of critically injured enemies through walls.
  • Equipment: Sombra's stock in trade, of course, is her ability to Hack through touch. When activated, her gloves send out strings of purple light that latch onto the circuitry of a single target and enable her to rapidly hack it, unless interrupted. The effects of this are as varied as her targets, but what it boils down to in her usual combat is, for six seconds, deactivating any mechanical ability that requires the push of a button to use. However, there's a learning curve to her hacking ability. She may be familiar with the weapons, computers and giant robot arms of her own world, but when faced with unfamiliar technology, she'll need at least a 'combat turn' to get the hang of its properties. The more times she hacks that particular item, the quicker she can get, but the more complex the machine, the longer it'll take the first time around. Her gloves can also project holographic files in the air like images on a touchscreen.
  • Her coat is equipped with a Stealth function, a thermoptic camouflage that can render her whole body completely invisible to the naked eye and sentry targeting systems, but not from Infra-Vision or sonar detection. The invisibility can last a minute before she starts going from transparent to translucent, and after being switched off requires a minute's cooldown or longer, depending on the strain it's been put through. For combat purposes, her primary tool is her Machine Pistol, equipped with sixty ammo cartridges firing at twenty rounds per second. She also carries around Translocator devices, which allow her to teleport straight to them, even while they're in mid flight. These devices bounce off walls when thrown, but attach themselves to the ground and to slopes, and can be remotely destroyed.
  • Finally, Sombra's Ultimate Ability is an EMP burst, a pulse emanating from herself, with a fifteen metre area of effect, deactivating all technology within that range for six seconds.
  • Backstory: Olivia was one of thousands of children made orphans by the Omnic Crisis, and growing up in Dorado wasn't easy when the most of Mexico's infrastructure had collapsed. From an early age, she learned how to manipulate both people and computers to get by, and her talents got her taken under the wing of the Los Muertos gang. Los Muertos believed that the rebuilding of Mexico had only benefited the wealthy, and so they drafted her into their self-styled revolution, getting her to perform hacks against government officials. Soon, however, that little girl cottoned onto the fact that knowledge is power, and that power soon became addictive. Over the years, she kept on mining for knowledge on celebrities, politicians, corporations and governments alike, growing ever more daring, ever more confident in her abilities. Then suddenly, she stumbled into something big, a conspiracy spanning the world. That conspiracy noticed her, too, and came down hard on her operations. There was only one thing to do; erase every trace of her life and go into hiding.
  • When the girl re-emerged, it was under the codename Sombra. She'd had herself upgraded via cybernetic graft, and with it, she began a global hacking spree. No organisation, political or corporate, was safe from her, and she soon began turning heads at Talon. Once recruited as a specialist in espionage and intelligence assessment, she helped Talon in various cyber-attacks on governments worldwide. She collaborated with her old pals at Los Muertos, and single-handedly brought down a power-hungry CEO by exposing his bribery, embezzlement and land-grab schemes, a widely publicised attack that got her mistaken for a hacking collective by the media. Soon after, she, Reaper and Widowmaker were dispatched by a greedy Talon councilman to assassinate the CEO of a major Russian security company. However, she sabotaged the mission, and blackmailed the CEO into 'befriending' her, little knowing that Reaper had caught wind of her scheme. Now, she continues to work as an operative of Talon, but this is only a means to an end. Once she finds out who really runs the world, she'll be the one pulling ALL the strings.

Moria's Fade thing is going to need to be drasiticly nerfed. Total stealth and invisibility 1 second every 6 seconds is highly broken. Reduce that to one every minute. The Biotic Grasp thing is, as currently described, a little too video gamey, if that makes sense. No one's realistically going to be able to guestmate what three fifths of the damage they took is to heal her.

Widowmaker's ult ability has a similar problem, in a different respect. How do these people get marked? How can she tell foe from random civilian in crowded urban areas? What if there are people hidden who have yet to actually attempt any action? This is the kind of thing that is fine for the 5v5 gameplay of the source material, but in an actual RP, I need some form of justifcation, explanation for how it works, how it can be avoided or mitigated (Because you can't just have a button that says "Now we all see you" with no way to avoid it save not being in the area)

Sombra's hack thing, you say it can be interrupted, but how will that happen if said hack is almost instant? Regardless, you can't have insta hack. Once again, the second half of this is too video gamey and spesific toward things in her verse. How many health packs do you realistically think you're going to run across that can be conveniently disabled by hacking? The Stealth thing needs a time limit and much harder cooldown. 1 minute time for 1 minute cooldown is my offer.

(edited to correct video URL, since the original was taken down)

I only hope I haven't forgotten anything. I also am prepared for nerfs, but I'm not completely sure how best to nerf the ones that need to be nerfed, so I'll leave that up to you.

Main Character
  • Name: Peter Parker / Spider-Man
  • Age: 23
  • Appearance: Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man
  • Personality: Peter possesses an indomitable sense of justice and responsibility. His vow of responsibility has led him to a path of heroism and humanitarian service. There are times when that sense of responsibility can be almost overbearing; he is quick to assume guilt and responsibility for anything bad that happens in his presence or that can, in some way, relate back to him. As Spider-Man, he is at times is seen as the class clown in every group he is in. Even in the face of certain death, Spider-Man invariably cracks a joke, to the annoyance of both friends and foes. Whenever a life other than his own is in danger, however, he will stop telling jokes and take the current situation with the utmost seriousness.
  • Powers:
    • Genius-Level Intellect: In spite of his youth, Peter is an expert in multiple fields of science and computing. He is also a keen inventor and very good at thinking on his feet.
    • Martial Arts: Though he has no formal training, Peter has picked up a lot of fighting knowledge over the years, and is particularly good at punches and kicks.
    • Photographer: Peter is an expert photographer, having worked for the Daily Bugle extensively (even if it was mostly pictures of himself).
    • Spider-Sense: Peter possesses an extrasensory "danger" or "spider" sense which warns him of potential immediate danger in his line of sight by the manifestation of a tingling sensation in the back of his skull, enabling him to evade most any injuries if he reacts in time, unless he has no space to dodge or he cognitively overrides his automatic reflexes. The precise nature of this sense is unknown, though it appears to be a simultaneous clairvoyant response to a wide variety of phenomena (everything from falling safes to speeding bullets to thrown punches), which gives a few hundredths of a second warning, which is sufficient time to allow him to avoid injury if he reacts in time. He cannot discern the nature of the threat by the sensation. He can, however, discern the severity of the danger by the strength of his response to it. Spider-Man's spider-sense is no longer directional and cannot guide him to or away from hidden weapons and enemies. Sudden and extreme threats can cause his spider-sense to react with painful intensity. Using his spider-sense to time his enhanced reflexes, Spider-Man can casually dodge attacks up to and including automatic-weapons fire, provided it is in his line of sight and there is sufficient distance. The spider-sense does not react to those who Peter does not consider to be a threat, such as Aunt May. Spider-Man can choose to ignore his spider-sense, and distraction or fatigue diminish its effectiveness.
    • Superhuman Agility and Reflexes: Spider-Man's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are all enhanced to levels that are far beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete. Spider-Man is extraordinarily limber and his tendons and connective tissues are twice as elastic as the average human being is despite their physical strength. He has the combined agility and acrobatic prowess of the most accomplished circus aerialists and acrobats. He can also perform any complicated sequence of parkour and gymnastic stunts such as flips, rolls, and springs. Spider-Man's reflexes are about forty times greater than those of an ordinary human. In combination with his spider-sense, the speed of his reflexes allows him to dodge almost any attack, or even gunfire, given it is in his line of sight and given sufficient distance.
    • Superhuman Regeneration: Peter is able to rapidly heal about six times as fast as and more extensively than normal humans are capable of, and can regenerate from harm that normal humans cannot heal from (e.g. blindness).
    • Superhuman Strength and Stamina: Spider-Man possesses superhuman strength enabling him to press lift multiple tons. His physical strength is sufficient enough to enable him to lift and objects as heavy as a small car with only significant effort. Spider-Man's physical strength also extends into his legs, enabling him to be able to jump to a height of several stories in a single bound. Spider-Man can exert himself physically for much longer periods of time than a normal human being before fatigue begins to impair him. When well-rested, Spider-Man can physically exert himself at his peak capacity for several hours before the build up of fatigue toxins in his blood begins to impair him.
    • Wall-Crawling: Peter's exposure to mutated spider venom induced a mutagenic, cerebellum-wide alteration of his engrams (what the fuck is an engram?) resulting in the ability to mentally control the flux of inter-atomic attraction (electrostatic force) between molecular boundary layers. This overcomes the outer electron shell's normal behavior of mutual repulsion with other outer electron shells and permits the tremendous potential for electron attraction to prevail. The mentally controlled sub-atomic particle responsible for this has yet to be identified. This ability to affect the attraction between surfaces is limited to Spider-Man's body (especially concentrated in his hands and feet) and another object.
  • Equipment:
    • Advanced Spider-Man Suit: Utilizes a carbon-fiber microweave in some key areas (the white bits) to protect against piercing and blunt impacts, also enhancing punches and kicks slightly due to extra hardness. Insulated, and thus resistant to cold, heat, and electricity. The mask has had plenty of tech built into it over the years, allowing Pete to send and receive hands-free cellphone calls and otherwise synch up with his phone, take pictures through the eye lenses, mechanically adjust the lenses along with his own eye movements, perform chemical analysis on samples, hook up to and read through files via USB, set and perceive visual GPS markers, and mark known hostiles and friendlies with differently colored auras using an artificial intelligence algorithm. (It does some other stuff in-game that doesn't really make sense, scientifically speaking, so I'm leaving those capabilities out.)
    • Webshooters: Peter's own invention, worn on his wrists, that shoots yet another invention, web fluid, at high pressure. You probably intuitively understand all you need to know about how they work, but an in-depth explanation follows anyway (disclaimer: I ripped it from a wiki).
      • Spider-Man's web-shooters are twin devices, worn on his wrists beneath the gauntlets of his costume, that can shoot thin strands of a special "web fluid" (the chemical composition of which is not known) at high pressure. The spinneret mechanisms in each web-shooter are machined from stainless steel, except for the turbine component, which is machined out of a block of Teflon, and the two turbine bearings which are made of amber and artificial sapphire. The wristlets and web-fluid cartridges, the latter of which Spider-Man wears on his belt beneath his costume's tunic, are mainly nickel-plated annealed brass. The wristlets have sharp steel nipples, which pierce the bronze caps when the cartridges are tightly wedged into their positions.

The hand-wound solenoid-needle valve on each web-shooter is actuated by a palm switch; this in turn, is protected by a band of spring steel which requires a 65-pound pressure to trigger it. The switch is situated high on the palm to avoid most unwanted firings. An additional safety measure, to prevent misfires while Spider-Man is making a fist or carrying things, is that the trigger has to receive a double-tap from Spider-Man's middle and third fingers. The small battery compartment is protected by a rubber seal.

The effect of the very small turbine pump vanes is to compress (shear) the web fluid and then force it, under pressure, through the spinneret holes, which cold-draws it (stretches it: the process wherein nylon gains a four-fold increase in tensile strength), then extrudes it through the air where it solidifies. As the web fluid exits the spinneret holes, it is attracted to itself electrostatically, and thus can form complex shapes. The spinneret holes have three sets of adjustable, staggered openings around the turbine which permit a single, incredibly strong line; a more complex, spreading spray; and a thick, tremendously adhesive liquid. In spite of greatly increasing their capacity over his original webshooters, he may, eventually, run out of web fluid.
      • Web Fluid: Web fluid is a shear-thinning liquid (virtually solid until a shearing force is applied to it, rendering it fluid) whose exact formula is unknown, but is related to nylon. On contact with air, the long-chain polymer knits and forms an extremely tough, flexible fiber with extraordinary adhesive properties. The web fluid's adhesive quality diminishes rapidly with exposure to air. (Where it does not make contact with air, such as at the attachment disk of the web-shooter, it remains very adhesive.) After a few hours, certain imbibed esters cause the solid form of the web fluid to dissolve into a powder. It also conducts electricity very well, which has led Peter to create electric / taser webs, which can deliver a strong electric shock to whatever they touch, charged by an arcing electrical mechanism on the exterior of the shooters. This uses up quite a lot of battery power, however, so he can only use electric webs about three times in succession before having to add a new battery.
    • Other Gadgets: Peter has also designed Web Bombs (web grenades, basically) and proximity Web Mines, both of which do exactly what they sound like and web up opponents. He carries two of each in his utility belt along with spare web cartridges.
  • Backstory: One day, when he was fifteen years old, Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider. Do I really need to tell you what happened after that? Peter has been Spider-Man for eight years now, and having successfully juggled the vigilante life with school and work, he is now out in real life, working at a small lab with his mentor to create world-changing new technologies. He did once work for the Daily Bugle, but left to pursue his graduate career. He was also once romantically involved with Mary Jane Watson, but they have since broken up (though they're back in contact now and working on bringing down criminals).

In any case, it has been several weeks since Spidey brought down The Kingpin of Crime in NYC, Wilson Fisk. Since then, a new gang of masked criminals has been on the rise throughout the city. Called "the Demons" by the press and layfolk, these evildoers are far more brazen and destructive than Fisk ever was, seemingly stopping at nothing to terrorize the city and take it apart, piece by piece. They also seem to be in pursuit of a secretive substance known as "Devil's Breath", currently in the custody of Oscorp. Who knows what evils it could be used for in the wrong hands...?

Supporting Cast
  • Name: Norman Osborn
  • Age: Late 50s
  • Appearance: The Mayor
  • Personality: On the surface, Norman seems like the quintessential slimy politician and business executive: carefully constructed, dissembling, and above all self-interested. Although he does have some soft spots for certain people, what you see is pretty much what you get with Norman Osborn. He's an asshole, control freak, and ruthless opportunist who will gladly rob you blind and take credit for all your accomplishments while pretending he's doing you a favor.
  • Powers:
    • Being a Stupendously Rich Asshole: As CEO of Oscorp and possessor of a vast personal fortune in the billions, Norman has the full resources of his namesake corporation at his disposal, and has the connections and influence to skirt the law in a number of ways. As Oscorp is a mega-conglomerate, they also own both many buildings throughout the city and important city landmarks such as the power plant, reservoir, and some docks. Not to mention...
    • MISTER Mayor: Norman is the law! ...In a manner of speaking. As Mayor of what is likely America's most famous city, he has all the city government's considerable resources at his disposal, including the police. He has also contracted out some security to the PMC Silver Sable International, whose abilities and equipment are detailed in the Chunk section.
  • Equipment: Nada.
  • Backstory: After Grad school, Norman and his laboratory partner Otto opened a startup called Oscorp. It quickly ballooned into a success, and they pushed the limits of science in a number of fields. His relationship with his business partner and friend soon soured, however, when Norman funded and oversaw secret, increasingly unethical and illegal experiments into genetics-related applications. Soon enough, they parted ways. Soon after, Norman's wife died, and he was forced to raise their young son Harry on his own. Since then, Norman has remolded himself into a politician in addition to being a CEO, winning Mayorship of America's greatest city. He's up for re-election soon, but recent events — namely a bunch of masked terrorists/gangsters plunging the city into as much chaos as they can manage — have put a dent in those plans.

  • Name: Dr. Otto Octavius
  • Age: Late 50s
  • Appearance: The Good Doctor
  • Personality: Although not exactly humble, Otto Octavius is a good man who has been driven to the brink of desperation time and time again. He also cares deeply about his friend and employee, Peter Parker. Prone to obsess over his work and occasionally fall into fits of rage over his nemesis, Norman Osborn, the Doctor is nonetheless trying to change the world for the better.
  • Powers:
    • Genius-Level Intellect: Otto is an expert in many fields of science and computing. He is also a stupendously amazing inventor. The ideas never seem to stop flowing!
  • Equipment: Nada.
  • Backstory: After Grad school, Otto and his laboratory partner Norman opened a startup called Oscorp. It quickly ballooned into a success, and they pushed the limits of science in a number of fields. His relationship with his business partner and friend soon soured, however, when Norman funded and oversaw secret, increasingly unethical and illegal experiments into genetics-related applications. Soon enough, they parted ways. Otto has been stringing his finances along from grant to grant ever since, and even managed to get enough funding to hire a single employee, Peter Parker. Recently, however, their funding was revoked, and Otto was forced to call in every last favor he had and take out huge loans so that they could start over from nearly scratch. Still, he and Peter are making great progress on their prosthetic arms, and Otto's mind just doesn't stop inventing. The future looks bright enough, aside from one inevitable problem...

  • Name: Martin Li
  • Age: Late 30s
  • Appearance: (at left) Mister Negative
  • Personality: Martin Li is a complex man. Although he genuinely loves others and enjoys helping them through his series of homeless shelters, that merely represents the best part of himself. His darker half, what he would call his "Demon", is a ruthless crime boss who will stop at nothing to fulfill his intense vendetta against Norman Osborn. It is no surprise that powerful negative emotions lurk beneath the surface of his psyche, given that his powers themselves are based on and enhanced by said negativity.
  • Powers:
    • Martial Arts: Martin is a skilled martial artist, and in particular is skilled with the sword as well as hand-to-hand combat.
    • Negative Energy Manipulation: Martin manifests and manipulates the energy of negativity, which appears as a black-and white aura of power. When fully embracing his power, his entire body, including clothes, turns photonegative. Martin can utilize his energy to enhance his strength, durability, and speed to superhuman levels, and he can project deadly blasts of negative energy from his hands. If he is ever running low on energy, he can absorb more back out of a minion who he has affected with his Negative Touch.
    • Negative Touch: Although it can be resisted by people of sufficiently strong will or psyche, Martin can corrupt individuals whom he touches with his hands while in his photonegative state. Depending on the individual in question, the pushback when resisting his corruption may result in a cool battle in the center of the mind that happens within the real-time-span of a few seconds. Being successfully corrupted brings forth the person's most negative traits while also putting them in the thrall of Martin, who they will obey unquestionably, even to the death. That said, corrupted individuals are still capable of acting on their own and with independent thought. Individuals corrupted in this way gain enhanced strength, durability, and speed, and anything they use as a weapon (swords, whips, grenades, firearms, etc.) has an extra kick of destructive black-and-white energy added in attacks. They can also project negative energy blasts from their weapons (swordbeams, etc.). The effect of Negative Touch fades when an individual is knocked unconscious.
  • Equipment: Nothing currently, though he has access to the full arsenal of his Demons gang, which is detailed in the Chunk section.
  • Backstory: Martin Li's parents abandoned him while he was young, leaving him to fend for himself in the cold, unforgiving world. At around this same time, his powers to manipulate negative energy first awakened. After clawing his way through college with a degree in Art History, he left for China, where he made his fortune (and founded a highly successful and dangerous gang). Coming back to the US and settling back in New York, Martin founded a series of homeless shelters called F.E.A.S.T. (Food, Emergency Aid, Shelter, and Training), which have been highly successful in helping the downtrodden people of New York get back on their feet. A few weeks ago, however, he took a sudden leave of absence and orchestrated an act of terrorism on the city government, in service to the vendetta against Norman Osborn that he picked up somewhere along the way. So far, no evidence has led the police to him, but Martin knows that he will eventually be found out. Discarding his old life and fully embracing the negativity within himself, he goes in search of a certain secret Oscorp project known as "Devil's Breath". One way or another, he will bring Norman Osborn to his knees and make him suffer...

  • Name: Maxwell Dillon / Electro
  • Age: Mid-20s
  • Appearance: Electro
  • Personality: Youthful and energetic, Electro is a bit of a ham and showoff, and is prone to engaging in needlessly complicated supervillain plots, like synchronizing a series of transformers to electrify the exterior of a police headquarters and trap the cops inside rather than simply going in and zapping them to submission.
  • Powers:
    • Electrostatic Energy Generation: Electro is able to generate electrostatic energy within his body, which he can release or harness for a number of effects. His body can generate electricity at a rate of about 10,000 volts per minute, up to a maximum storage capacity of 100,000 volts, after which point his body automatically stops producing electricity. As he expends his electrostatic energy, his body automatically began to recharge the stores. Electro can mentally control the amount of electricity he discharges, anywhere from a single volt to his full 100,000 volt charge at once. Electro can also use his body as a transformer, touching an outside power source such as a generator and channeling it through his body for use. The amount of electricity he could transform above his body's maximum storage capacity is unknown. His abilities allow him a form of free flight as well, likely due to manipulation of magnetic fields in some way. His powers have a major weakness in anything that is likely to short him out, however (such as water, in particular).
  • Equipment: A new suit that enhances his powers in an as-of-yet unspecified way. Currently, however, nothing! He's in prison!
  • Backstory: Though the exact circumstances of his likely humiliating previous defeats by Spider-Man are unknown, we do know that Peter once beat the stuffing out of him while wearing electrician's gloves, which is the reason Pete's suit is now insulated. Since his initial imprisonment at The Raft, he has periodically broken out and wreaked havoc on Manhattan before inevitably being taken down by his heroic nemesis once more. In spite of his defeats, Max has big ambitions, dreaming of one day becoming a being of pure energy.

  • Name: Adrian Toomes / Vulture
  • Age: late 50s
  • Appearance: Vulture
  • Personality: Vulture is too old, wise, and worldly for your childish nonsense and quips. As egotistical and self-centered as any supervillain is, Mr. Toomes is also getting up there in the years, and is struggling to come to grips with his own mortality — not helped by the fact that the anti-gravity tech used in his equipment has apparently sped the process along.
  • Powers: Although he is a brilliant physicist and engineer, all of Vulture's "superpowers" are actually the result of the technology he uses in his suit.
  • Equipment: Currently, nothing! He's a prisoner! If he were to break out and get his suit back, however...
    • His suit of powered armor principally includes an antigravity device on the back, which is not a jetpack but some form of actual anti-gravity technology that works by unknown physics. He hasn't shared its secrets with anyone, at least, so how it works is a mystery to all but the Vulture himself. Obviously, this makes him capable of easy, free flight through the air. The feathers of the wings on his suit are actually dagger-like projectiles that he can aim and fire at a moment's notice with great force. If they miss, they are designed to boomerang back and magnetize back to his suit. He has no other notable abilities, but he could easily pick up a thing or two from adapting other technologies.
  • Backstory: Though the exact circumstances of his likely humiliating previous defeats by Spider-Man are unknown, we do know that the Vulture is one of Spidey's oldest and most cunning foes, though he has returned to a life of crime over and over after being released and is now serving a life sentence aboard The Raft. The specter of dying in prison continues to haunt Toomes daily, not least because the power source of his antigravity technology has apparently given him spinal cancer.

  • Name: MacDonald "Mac" Gargan / Scorpion
  • Age: late 30s
  • Appearance: Scorpion
  • Personality: A sadistic nutjob who enjoys poisoning people to slow, painful deaths, and especially likes making money doing it. He doesn't enjoy quips. Not at all. He's also not particularly prideful and is not above following the orders of others when the situation calls for it, especially if it would save his own skin or otherwise benefit him.
  • Powers: Mac is an enhanced cyborg, his alterations providing him with superhuman strength and agility. He also has a giant, cybernetic tail, described in the equipment section. Having been designed as a kind of "Anti-Spider-Man" human weapon, his physical prowess are roughly equal to the webhead's.
  • Equipment: Mac's suit (which he doesn't currently have, being in prison) combines body armor and other utility. For example, the claws and talons on the hands and feet are very sharp, and are great for both stabbing people and clinging to walls. Aside from that, there's nothing particularly special about his suit. The most special thing about him is his
    • Giant Prehensile Scorpion Tail: Attached to the bottom of his spine and manipulated like another part of his body, it is another piece of cybernetics, and gives Mac his supervillain namesake. The tip is great for stabbing people with, but it can also be eqiupped with a massive internal needle for injecting people with poison, which Mac enjoys doing more than a little. Exact poisons eqiupped will depend entirely on what he has access to if he breaks out of prison.
  • Backstory: Though the exact circumstances of his likely humiliating previous defeats by Spider-Man are unknown, we do know that Mac was a psychopath with a poisoning fetish even before undergoing the procedure that cybernetically enhanced him. Since being imprisoned at The Raft, he has only grown in his sociopathic desire for revenge upon Spidey and society generally.

  • Name: Aleksei Sytsevich / Rhino
  • Age: late 30s
  • Appearance: Rhino
  • Personality: Although he is prone to fits of extremely destructive rage and rather headstrong, Aleksei is actually not as much of an idiot as people think he is. He's constantly outwitted by Spider-Man, but Spidey happens to be a genius. In fact, Aleksei would like to retire from a life of crime and become a poet. Alas, he is trapped in his suit, and therefore his recidivism is all but inevitable.
  • Powers: All of Rhino's superhuman attributes are the result of treatments involving gamma radiation. The controlled bombardment fortified his cellular structure and added several hundred pounds of muscle and bone tissue to his body. The Rhino possesses extreme superhuman strength, able to lift up to 100 tons with his suit on. His actual ability to apply his strength is limited by his rather rudimentary combat style, however, which is really just streetfighting and application of brute force rather than anything disciplined. The Rhino can, despite his large size, run and or exercise at the speed of a small car with the force of a large truck; hence he can, while charging or ramming, appear at his destination rather quickly, although he can't move nearly as fast as speedsters. Once charging, however, he cannot change direction or easily halt his advance. The Rhino's enhanced musculature is much more efficient than that of a normal human and generates considerably less fatigue toxins during physical activity. At his peak, he can exert himself physically for up to 24 hours before the build up of fatigue toxins in his blood starts to impair his performance. The Rhino's body is highly resistant to physical injury. He can withstand high caliber bullets, exposure to temperature extremes, and falls from great heights without sustaining significant injury.
  • Equipment: Unlike the other criminals, Rhino actually has his suit on while in prison, because he can't take it off.
    • Rhino Exoskeleton: More or less welded to Aleksei's body, this suit of armor enhances his already considerable strength and durability to the extent already outlined in the Powers section. Made from a nigh-indestructible material, it has proven impossible to remove, though he would very much like to be free of it. Of course, as seen in Appearance, the armor does not cover his entire body, so it does have weak points. It is highly impervious to damage, able to resist explosions equivalent to 1 ton of TNT, the impact of small anti-tank weaponry, and temperature extremes between -50Ëš and 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit without cracking or melting. It is also acid resistant. The suit features a bulletproof polymer mat rhino-like hide and two horns capable of penetrating 2-inch plate steel.
  • Backstory: Though the exact circumstances of his likely humiliating previous defeats by Spider-Man are unknown, we do know that Aleksei used to be a member of the Russian mafia before being selected by a team of shady scientists for use in their shady experiments, principally because they thought he was a big, strong idiot. Being close enough for their purposes, he was enhanced by gamma radiation treatments and then let loose upon our intrepid hero. Naturally, he lost, and was imprisoned. Then he got out after his sentence was over, and promptly fell in with the criminal underworld again and was imprisoned again. This pattern has repeated itself for a long while, and he is currently held at The Raft in the most maximum security of maximum security cells.

  • Name: Herman Schultz / Shocker
  • Age: late 30s
  • Appearance: Shocker
  • Personality: Herman often vacillates between extreme overconfidence and crippling self-doubt. It's pretty hard to believe in yourself when you get your ass handed to you and your dreams of an easy life foiled by some crazy spider guy in tights all the time. He is much more of a pragmatist than most of his contemporaries, simply in the crime business to get rich quick and then get out of dodge. Unfortunately for him, all his efforts are thwarted by superpowered freaks of nature, principally that accursed Spider-Man. Herman has had it up to here with that guy's shtick!
  • Powers: The Shocker is a gifted, and apparently self-taught, engineer who built his battle suit from scratch in a prison workshop. He is also the (self-proclaimed) world's best safe-cracker. All his superhuman abilities are born of his shock gauntlets (see below).
  • Equipment:
    • Vibro-Shock Gauntlets: The Shocker has two vibro-shock units that, when activated by a thumb trigger, can project a concentrated blast of air that has been vibrated at an intense frequency. This allows the Shocker to both effectively throw long range vibrational punches, as well as vibrating the structure of something in order to weaken or destroy it. He can also leap great distances by aiming at the ground and jettisoning himself through the air. Holding the thumb triggers down for an extended period of time increases the intensity, speed, and even spread of the air blasts. The vibro-shock units were created to open safes by "shaking" them open silently and quickly. Shocker also has a vibrational shield that deflects blows to him and allows him to slip from many a grasp. The shield is not impenetrable, however, and a vector of sufficient force could punch through it to get to him. The shield also weakens momentarily after Shocker fires several blasts in quick succession.
    • Vibration-Negating Costume: It looks like a quilt. A quilt! It's comfy, but there's really nothing special about it aside from protecting him from the effects of his own Shock Guantlets. Damaging or taking away the suit carries the risk of Shocker injuring or killing himself if he tries to use his Gauntlets.
  • Backstory: Though the exact circumstances of his likely humiliating previous defeats by Spider-Man are unknown, Herman used to be a small-time criminal before inventing his shock gauntlets one day in prison. He then went on a highly successful crime spree before being put away by — who else — Spider-Man. He has generally served his sentences and then gone right back to crime after parole, though recently he fled parole for unknown reasons, then broke out of prison with inside help and did the bidding of the new up-and-coming gang on the block, the Demons, under fear of death. Of course, the webslinger put him away again, so he's currently cooling his heels in Ryker's (not The Raft; he doesn't qualify for VIP, maximum security treatment).

Other Significant Named Characters (Let me know if you want a more extensive signup for any of them):
  • J. Jonah Jameson: Two-time Pulitzer Prize winning journalist and former publisher of The Daily Bugle. After retiring from the Bugle, he has moved on to being a talk radio host and podcaster with thousands, perhaps even millions of daily listeners. He has a bit of a beef with Spider-Man, but his heart is in the right place. Mostly.
  • Mary-Jane "MJ" Watson: Peter Parker's ex-girlfriend, and an intrepid journalist who writes for The Daily Bugle newspaper. Knows of his double-life as Spider-Man.
  • May Parker: Peter's beloved aunt, who raised him alongside his late uncle after the death of his parents. She is in charge of running the F.E.A.S.T. series of homeless shelters throughout Manhattan after the mysterious departure of their founder, Martin Li.
  • Miles Morales: A young fan of Spider-Man who lost his father in the recent bombing of City Hall by the gang known as the Demons. Spider-Man taught him how to throw a punch! Isn't that cool?! Miles attends high school somewhere in the City, but has a part-time job at F.E.A.S.T.
  • Silver Sablilnova: Hailing from somewhere in Eastern Europe, she heads up Silver Sable International, a highly reputable PMC brought in by Mayor Osborn in the aftermath of the City Hall bombing. Though a normal human, she is a crack shot with a pistol, usually going into situations guns ambiko, and is an able combatant even in the face of opponents with minor superpowers of their own.
  • Wilson Fisk / The Kingpin: The former head honcho of all Manhattan's criminal underworld, he was recently taken down by the joint efforts of Spider-Man and the NYPD, and is currently a resident of The Raft section of the Ryker's Island prison complex. He still commands what remains of his vast criminal empire from his prison cell, however. Though ostensibly a normal human, he is surprisingly strong, able to throw fully-grown men bodily through drywall and break and throw large chunks of marble with his bare hands (but it's also possible that he just made his building out of cheap shit, knowing that it would one day be assaulted by superpowered freaks of nature).
  • Wong: Dr. Stephen Strange's manservant, watching over the Sanctum Sanctorum while his master is away on Sorcerer Supreme business.
  • Capt. Yuriko "Yuri" Watanabe: A Captain and veteran of the NYPD, and a secret ally of Spider-Man, with whom she shares info and tips. She seems to have an ear to the ground in precincts throughout Manhattan, not just her own.

Other Characters Who I Might Include in the Setting Later (will make signups for them if I do):
  • Felicia Hardy / Black Cat: A phantom thief possessing enhanced strength and agility who has recently returned to a life of crime after having gone straight for a time.
  • Fritz von Meyer / Swarm: A former Nazi scientist who was eaten alive by a swarm of psychic bees in the heart of South America and then found himself in control of the swarm. His physical body is composed of a blackened skeleton covered by thousands - if not millions - of bees. Beaten by Spider-Man years prior, he may yet make his return and teach the world the supremacy of insect-kind.
  • Lonnie Lincoln / Tombstone: A relatively minor biker gang boss and drug dealer who is nontheless exceptionally dangerous for his abuse and distribution of "Grave Dust", a drug that turns its users both superhumanly durable and raving berserk. Tombstone himself is also permanently durable to that degree, presumably due to heavy exposure to the drug's key ingredient, which allows him to shrug off high-caliber bullets.
  • Matthew Murdock / Daredevil: A founding partner of Nelson & Murdock, a law firm operating out of Hell's Kitchen. He was gifted with hypersenses as a result of a childhood accident that took his sight, and uses his abilities in conjunction with skill in martial arts to moonlight as the crime-fighting vigilante Daredevil.
  • Tony Masters / Taskmaster: A shadowy mercenary with photographic reflexes, meaning he's able to duplicate almost any physical activity he sees after seeing it done by someone else only once. Taskmaster can use this ability to master complex gymnastics routines and play difficult pieces of music. However, he typically prefers to use this ability to copy the combat skills, both armed and unarmed, of costumed crime-fighters and expert martial artists from around the world, typically seen through watching videos of them in combat situations.

    Chunk
  • Name of the World: Manhattan
  • Description: It's Manhattan.
  • Contents/Locations:
    • All Normal Manhattan Attractions: The American Museum of Natural History, Broadway, Central Park, City Hall, the Empire State Building, Grand Central Terminal, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York Public Library, One World Trade Cetner, the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, UN Headquarters, etc. All else that follows are landmarks not in the original, real-world Manhattan.
    • Avenger's Tower: The headquarters of the Avengers. They're currently away on the West Coast, however.
    • Rykers Island: The Marvelverse counterpart to real life Rikers island. It's a massive prison complex situated in the northern part of the East River, full of hardened criminals. It also features an extra, man-made island complex to its north known as The Raft, where supervillains and other VIPs are kept.
    • Oscorp Building: The headquarters of the international conglomerate Oscorp. They produce such wonders as emergency medical evacuation drones, nanomachines that enable the human body to heal one thousand times faster than normal, advanced body armor, and optical camouflage technology. Although not located at the building itself, they do have a prototype, untested super-soldier serum, prototype hand grenades, a prototype glider, and prototype armor that connects to the glider. They also have a prototype gene-editing serum called GR-27, nicknamed "Devil's Breath" by the lab techs. In its current form it is imperfect, and could become a terrible plague if released on the city's populace.
    • Sanctum Sanctorum: The mansion residence of Earth's Sorcerer Supreme, Dr. Stephen Strange. It holds a bevy of magical books and artifacts, though the latter are locked away securely in a basement storeroom. The Master is currently away, though his manservant Wong has stayed behind to maintain the place. Sanctum Sanctorum sits atop an enormous confluence of leylines, meaning Manhattan itself is also covered in leylines, ripe for the taking by any magic-users who may visit.
  • Specialties: None.
  • Population:
    • General Population: Red-blooded Americans, the heart and soul of New York. Eeeeyyyy, they're New Yorkers, what more do you need to know?
    • Fisk's Men: The remnants of Wilson Fisk's criminal empire, mainly confined to Fisk's remaining construction sites, where they undertake illicit dealings on Fisk's behalf. They have access to an arsenal that includes numerous automatic and semi-automatic firearms, frag and concussion grenades, and missile launchers.
    • Inner Demons: Not actual demons, but Martin Li's small army of negative-energy enhanced men. They typically wear suits along with Chinese demon masks, which they seem to have an infinite number of. Having stolen a great deal of Fisk's weapons, they are outfitted with much the same arms as Fisk's men, with the addition of whips and swords. They also seem to have an endless supply of trucks disguised as shipping vehicles and black cars.
    • Silver Sable International: The PMC brought in by Mayor Osborn to suppress the Demons' terrorism. They're outfitted with the most modern body armor imaginable, and the most modern weaponry. They have a fleet of choppers, drones, and armored all-terrain vehicles outfitted with rooftop machine guns. Their most elite units also have jetpacks, electrified bolas, proximity mines that fire electrified bolas, and plasma bullets.

I'm gonna use my wishes for characters. So I put my sign-ups to get nerfed, balance and stuff before time! I know power girl is tricky so I will gladly accept any nerf nessesary.

Wish character sheets

For Paraside Island

  • * Name :Powergirl
  • Real Name: Karen Star.
  • Gender: Female
  • Age :Young adult "
  • Appearance: That's her!
  • Alignment: Hero
  • Personality: She is very similar to Kara, but a lot more experienced. Karen has outgrown the usually teenage immaturity known from her younger counterpart: Supergirl. But she can be cheerful and laid back. Without question, Powergirl looks to do the right thing. She isn't without her flaws that present mostly in terms of both insecurity and ironically moments of overconfidence. However she is a very confident woman, that can get serious when necessary.
  • Powers and Abilities:
    • Heat vision: I would propose this nerfs:
      • Battery nerf: Given she is a living battery, using this ability wastes her stamina and can drain her fast of her powers if she isn't careful. So she can't spam the move
      • Vs Inorganic objects: They would be able to melt steel, or easily burn wood.
      • Vs Playable characters. This would be nerfed. They wouldn't cause third-degree burns nor any long-term burn for that matter. Rather they would be closer to fictional plasma (Like Starfire's star bolts or Ryus' Hadouken.) They hurt and cause heat, but they would be closer to long-range punches with more kinetic energy than actual heat.
    • X-ray Vision: She can see through any solid object, except lead.
  • *Super breath: She is able to push objects with air coming from her lungs. Say she could push a classic pirate boat by blowing the sails or like a very strong fan. It’s not unlimited however, as she needs to regain her breath every now and then or risk suffocating.
  • *Freeze breath: She could freeze a bucket full of water, at a time. It would take around 30 seconds.
  • Super hearing: She can hear conversations from very far (1 mile at most), and some frequencies too low for normal humans.
  • Super speed: By running or flying, she can move a little faster than your any civilian car. For fights, she can keep up within playable character and that's it.
  • Superhuman reflexes: If she were to wear an amazon bracelet of blocking, at most, she could block single bullets coming only from single target only in a single direction. Weapons that shoot a lot of bullets at the same time , like a minigun, would pass through and harm her.
  • Superhuman durability: She is not invincible. She can take a lot of blunt punishment, like a wreaking ball, all while suffering damage and pain along the way.
    • Bullet resistance: Bullets do harm her. But they are closer to punches than needles. She could easily tank 1-4 bullets coming from a random mook's pistol. But she would feel single bullets like heavy punches. Weapons that shoot a lot of bullets at the same time as a mini gun could potentially kill her.
  • * Superhuman healing: Only Between battles, and never in the middle of a fight. She can heal what would take days in a matter of hours, and hours in minutes. Healing starts immediately while under sunlight. Between fights, and under direct sunlight ,she could instantly heal very minor bruises and scars.
    • Superhuman strength : Able to lift an average family van at most, or (whatever is the top strength in the game.)
    • Flight: The ability to defy gravity and move through the air.
    • Can survive in space or underwater : Can be in the vacuum of space without any external aid
  • Weaknesses:
    • Magic: It affects her like anybody else.
    • Kryptonite in all it's forms. Probably,Won't be relevant in this game though.
      • Red sun radiation: It renders her normal
    • Lack of sunlight. Prolonged lack of sun rays will render her normal. Say being for too long in Castlevania
  • Backstory.
After the planet Krypton exploded, she was sent in a rocket to baby sit Superman. But she arrived a lot later than expected. Unlike Kara (aka Supergirl), she is now a full grown woman with a lot of experience in every sense including being a superhero. She is called to Themyscyra by Wonder Woman for her need to get reinforcements, and because only female warriors can stay in paradise island and avoid the wrath of her mother.

Whether or not she exists at the same time as supergirl depends on the source material. But they are in theory the same person. Except Powergirl is far more mature in every sense.

For Teen Titans

  • * Name :Terra
  • Gender: Female
  • Age :Teenager "
  • Appearance: The lost Titan! civilian
  • Personality: Terra is cheerful, but still an average teenager. She can be a bit impulse at times, but whenever the control of her powers goes wrong she can get stressful. As her flaws, she prefers to run away from her problems or even deny them when she feels insecure (which happens often). As another flaw she can be very naive. Despite all that, her betrayal on the titans was because she was conflicted and confused instead of evil.
  • Powers and Abilities:
    • Earthebending: In a nutshell She can control earth and related materials like rocks or, metals. She can create mini earthquakes (that is she can't affect a city but just a small area). She also can easily turn mud into rocks and viceversa or alter the shape of rocks lilke making spikes from mud for example. She can also feel the vibrations from the ground and detect people
      • Terrakinesis: A very specific form of telekinesis in that she can make earth and related materials like rocks hover in the air and control them. She can even transport herself by using a floating rock as a surfboard.

  • Backstory.
Terra was a normal teenager until she discovered her powers. She joined the titans briefly and was even a hero with them for a time. Unfortunately, her inability to control her powers made her vulnerable to being manipulated by a villain called Slade. Terra betrayed the Teen Titans, but ended up repenting and saving the cityin an adventure that causes her apparent demise.

She eventually reappeared as an "average school girl" claiming she had no powers or memories of everything. Breaking Beast boy's heart in the process. However, this lack of closure inspired Beast boy to convince Robin to wish for her in Battleworld

Just a couple of things here.

  • Spider Sense, AKA the original ghosting powers. I've pondered the best way to deal with this. Two things I think will make this workable. 1-This power only works if Spider Man is directly looking at the target in question. No suddenly knowing that someone has a sniper rifle trained on your head from 100 yards away directly behind you via this method or such. 2-A general nerf to the overall reaction speed of this power, basically making it so that he's not guaranteed to dodge everything thrown at him from the front and such.
  • Electro will be nerfed, because that level of volts is nuts. No killing someone just by offhand touching them, no one shotting, that sort of thing.
  • Rhino is one of those characters who are hard to nerf without defeating the point. Thus, my instructions are to not abuse his high power levels.

I guess if we're posting this in advance, then here's what will be my wish.

  • Name: Suika Ibuki
  • Age: a lot
  • Appearance: Hasn't grown an inch since you last saw her. She's a little under four-and-a-half feet tall, looks like she's 10-12 at most.
  • Personality: Friendly and generous, but not kind. She's very energetic and outgoing, far less reserved than even Yuugi, and when trying to be charitable she doesn't take no for an answer. Likes fighting, though less than our current Oni, and can come across as a little lazy in comparison. Punching people in the face and getting punched in the face is fun and all, but Suika likes a lazy afternoon just as much. Like many oni, being deceitful is an instant ticket to her shitlist, party of one. Though, unlike many, she's much more open to lying herself. She expects it from others still, but she will lie if it benefits her to do so. This causes considerable friction with Yuugi. Not really dumb, but maybe "childish" is a good word for her.
  • Powers:
    • Oni Physiology: They are really quite strong, durable, the works. She can heft about eight tons maximum, and she's quite good at ignoring blows up to and including small arms fire (partially because she's drunk), but larger weapons or things especially made to pierce armor should do good damage. She doesn't regenerate extraordinarily or anything, so wounds that she accumulates stay. Also, Oni have a liver of titanium, she can imbibe ridiculous amounts of alcohol safely. Also also, Oni don't like beans. That is, physical contact with any plant that can be considered a legume causes intense, burning pain. Suika is strong enough to resist the pain, unlike some, but it's not something she'd like to feel every day.
    • Make My Touhou Grow: She can get bigger. The limit is an even 20 feet, 'cause that's the upper limit I remember you laying out once. Her skin gets thicker and therefore more durable, but she doesn't gain any extra strength, and loses agility and dexterity.
    • Split: Suika can divide herself into multiple copies of herself, essentially sharing a hive mind among them. The split is equal to both size and strength, so if she splits into two 2 foot tall copies each is only half as strong. The maximum division is 1/10th, which puts each copy at about 5.6 inches tall. Cannot be used in conjunction with her growing ability, cannot fly while split, and naturally the smaller she gets the easier she is to harm.
    • Flight: She can...levitate! Not very fast, and most importantly it's pretty hard to navigate in three dimensions while drunk off your ass.
    • Intangibility: Her power is described as control over density, and with it she can make herself turn into a fine mist. What exactly a vaporised oni is comprised of is unknown to science at the moment. She cannot interact with anything else while in mist form, but she can float freely anywhere and disperse herself enough to become hard to see, though regrouping herself isn't instant. She can maintain this form for about one post, and can only use it once every encounter.
  • Equipment:
    • Ibuki Gourd: Like any oni worth their salt, Suika has a crippling dependancy on alcohol to get through the working day. What would be better to self-medicate with than a gourd filled with nigh-endless, high quality rice wine? As long as there's adequate access to water it'll never run out.
  • Backstory: A resident of Gensokyo for a very long time. She's famous for being one of the Four Devas of The Mountain, a quartet of Oni who were strong enough to get their own title and subjugate entire species under their command, but those days have long since passed. That band split up a while ago, each going their own separate ways. In the meantime, up until the other people in my chunk almost killed everyone on Earth with a nuclear incident, she sat back and drank a lot and also got beat up because she partied too hard. Then, in that time that the other people in my chunk almost killed everyone on Earth with a nuclear incident, she stumbled upon a friend that she hadn't seen in years...Yuugi Hoshiguma! You might've heard of her. Anyway, now they're nothing short of the best bros again and everything's great.

Using Chaldea's first wish on something utterly ridiculous so here's the character sheet in advance.

  • Name: Majin (Devil) Saber
  • Age: Unknown, physically Mid Twenties
  • Appearance: "The Ultimate Fusion between Sakura Saber and Demon Archer... MAJIN SEIBAH!"
  • Personality: Being the culmination of two wacky Servants, Okita Alter has a combination of both of her respective sum's personality- mainly that of pride and sloth. Though she looks like a stoic executioner and upholder of order, Majin Saber is in actuality a really eccentric weirdo that can fall asleep standing up and in mid conversation and a total dweeb. When she actually gets serious though, the mood abruptly changes into a whole different genre in and of itself though getting her to do such is akin to leading a horse down a long set of stairs. If she kept her mouth shut, her stoic seeming demeanor could even be described as "Vergil-like".
  • Powers: Majin Saber possesses a balanced statline of STR B, AGI A, LCK C, END C, MNA B, and NP A. The simplified version is that she isn't as fragile as Nobu or Okita at the expense of losing overall range of Nobu and a bit of speed compared to regular Okita. She gains access to Nobu's hell flame manipulation powers and is basically a Vergil in her skillset of attacking fast via either iaido techniques or a fast flurry of attacks with a longer than average sword while being able to flash step in a linear direction every now and then.
    • She can shoot off sword beams for midranged attacks either in the form of temporary line that cuts whatever touches it and disappears after two seconds or emit purgatory flames to burn things that are normally heat resistant (though it's pretty flashy, has less range, and is a lot harder to aim) though it also has the nature of being like napalm in that it's very clingy and hard to put out if it does latch onto its target.
    • Her Skills are Magic Resistance B which allows her to weaken magical attacks somewhat, Independent Action A which allows her to fight without relying on Ritsuka's Mana connection for a limited amount of time, Furthest Earth which lets her flash step on things such as midair or walls as well as solid ground, Persistence which makes her stubborn at pursuing her goal/target, and Boundlessness which lets her cut things that normally shouldn't be able to be cut (in this case nerfed to ghosts or things that would normally phase through physical attacks).
    • Her Noble Phantasm is a Zekken: Mugyo Sandan (Absolute Sword: Three Stage Eternity) which is basically a sword technique that shoots off sword lines that are much thicker and longer lasting than average to try to either cut or fence in the target before firing off a single black water barrel-sized sword beam to blast things to oblivion like some sort of Kamehameha. It requires Majin Saber to say a long flowery set of lines as well as get into an iaido position so there's a bit of a tell right there.
  • Equipment: She has weird footwear that seems to be a modified pair of armored geta to make her seem taller than she actually is and can fight in the really off kilter things as though she's wearing a regular pair of sandals as a testament to her sense of balance. Her favored weapons are a katana and a Sephiroth tier sized odachi that she arbitrarily named 'Purgatory'. The smaller sword is what she uses for quick normal attacks while the larger one is for when she needs range/power/and flashiness. Purgatory has its own mind and unsheathe itself as well as be used as a drone for ease of access and is also a sort of a chuuni.
  • Backstory: Originally a joke parody character from an alternate timeline, like most Fate people she became canon in Grand Order in the vein of Okita Alter... but that's not this Majin Saber. Okita and Nobu decided to basically pool their collective powers together to turn into a 'super cool and edgy anti-hero type character' and the result is Majin Saber, an existence paralleling the prior Okita Alter while being a fusion character. Both the Nobu and Okita characters can pilot around the Majin Saber frame ala Pacific Rim though every now and then they'll wrest for control and if they disagree too much then the fusion will wear off and they'll turn back into two Servants once more.

And here we go for Red Sprite's first wish-granted character.

  • Name: Delfi Kallis
  • Age: 17-18
  • Appearance: Delfi is a girl of about average height if she were to stand up, with dark tanned skin and golden blonde hair. She's dressed in a cream white dress that goes down to her feet and keeps her emaciated legs out of sight, as well as a pair of cream white slip on loafers. Her eyes are a light blue.
  • Personality:
    • Once a friendly, outgoing and caring young girl with a good sense of humour, Delfi's old self has been crushed and ground away by her crippling injury, capture and subsequent years imprisoned by Edenia. In its place, Delfi is now quiet and almost numb, having buried her emotions and thoughts as a way to retreat from her current situation. She is cold and detached, thanks in part to her powers as well as her experiences, and suffers from depression. She also harbours anger and pain towards Durant for fleeing with Tatsu, but not rescuing her, and also blames Mono for the state she is in.
    • Deep down though, Delfi is just a scared, hurt girl who has suffered during her capture and longs for the past despite knowing its impossible to achieve.
  • Powers:
    • Neuron-type Thundercore Human: In perhaps a stroke of luck or fate, Delfi's Thundercore type turned out to be the kind that didn't need physical mobility to use. Besides the standard ability to generate electricity from within her body, like every Thundercore human, her unique electricity runs directly through her brain and neurons. This allows her to 'supercharge' her mind, much how Tatsu supercharges his nerves and body. This means that Delfi can think impossibly fast, and possesses heightened intelligence and the ability to read people and situations so well that some mistaken people could take it for pre-cognition. Though in truth she is simply processing, breaking down and going over all the information she is observing at incredible speeds. This only works on what she can directly observe however, though recorded or real does not matter, and being told something secondhand won't give her anything beyond what is contained in the information itself.
  • Equipment: Wheelchair: A fairly standard wheelchair with a high back and a solid area for Delphi's feet to rest. Isn't powered, so she relies entirely on her own arm strength or others to get her around.
  • Backstory:
    • One of the specially created Thundercore humans alongside Tatsu, Mono, Alfred and their other friends, Delfi was rescued at an early age and brought to the secret orphanage in a remote corner of Edenia run by Durant at a fairly young age.
    • She lived there happily among her friends, learning, playing and unaware of the dangers that lurked outside of their own little area, until she was around 10. It was around that time a shy young boy by the name of Mono arrived, keeping to himself and refusing to participate in anything at first. He was only there for several days, before they were attacked.
    • In a sudden, brutal attack the orphanage was hit by explosives, blowing it open and sending the children flying. It was revealed that they had been discovered through tracking Mono's unique and powerful signal, given off by his powers. And so the events that would shape their lives to come unfolded, with Tatsu being taken by Durant as he fled and the other children taken.
    • During this, however, and unbeknownst to the others, Delfi had not come out of the attack unscatched. Having been seated closer to the window, when it had blown inwards the wooden wall had turned to shrapnel. She had been unlucky, and a piece of wood had caught her in the lower back as she'd been struck by a flying table and trapped beneath. When the disorentation had faded, Delfi felt agony in her back. But even that wasn't as bad, as the complete lack of any feeling she had below the waist.
    • Taken back to laboratory along with the others, Delfi was once against subjected to experimentation and observation as they worked to figure out what her eventual ability would manifest as, and how they could make use of it. When it was figured out, she was immediately shipped from the laboratory and sent out through Edenia to be used to root out dissidents, traitors and anyone else that Edenia wanted to. And when not doing that, kept locked away and monitoring the kingdom's broadcasts for anything of use.
    • For a time she was treated as if she was little more than a tool to be used, much like any other Thundercore Human. But, eventually someone realized that treating the person who actually was getting this information for them badly, and expecting it to be accurate, was a very risky thing. Her treatment changed, and soon her life fell into a sort of comfortable confinement. She wasn't treated cruelly for the most part, and had more comforts that what most others could say. But she was still very much a prisoner and a tool, and her life fell into monotonous apathy.
    • Until the day that Tatsu Frampt attacked the heart of Edenia and declared war, and justice for all Thundercore humans and those who had been crushed by the kingdom.

Just in case I ever feel like I can't play my Monster Strike Chunkless. It is a very strange idea that continued to echo about in my head so here we are.

K/DA

Chunkless Main Character

  • Name: Ahri (nickname: Gumiho)
  • Age: 24
  • Appearance: Beauty and Fashion
  • Personality: Mischievous and playful, Ahri is an intelligent vixen of a woman whose namesake of fox does her apt justice. Boasting a natural charisma that has only been sharpened over the years of celebrity lifestyle, the Gumiho has used her reputation to achieve great things for herself and has ambitions that still burn brightly enough to want to reach even higher heights to see just how far she could go.
  • Powers: Ahri is basically a nine-tailed fox creature called a Gumiho (think a Korean version of the iconic kitsune) who has mystical powers based off of reshaping magic itself into orbs of condensed energies that she could use to lob at enemies like a sort of telekinetic projectile. Said orb is strong enough to easily smash through bone and crack stone if enough force is injected into the motion.
    • She also has a variant of the ability where she throws the orb and it passes through its physical targets in a straight line, stealing vitality of whatever is phases through before it comes back to her to heal herself from their stolen life essence. The attack itself is pretty dodgeable given the ball is pretty flashy and also flies much slower than a bullet.
    • Ahri seems to be able to hide her voluminous nine tails at will, though she keeps her fox ears at all times. She can also change the appearance of said tails from it looking like an actually furry appendage to something that looks like a crystal caricature while still retaining flexibility and range of motion.
    • Ahri can shoot out three wisps of glowing fox fire that orbits around herself in a defensive function, automatically homing on whatever approaches with hostile intent to latch onto and 'burn' the enemy. Unlike physical fire, whatever it latches onto would feel weighed down as though they're moving through water for a few seconds.
    • By blowing a kiss, a floating solid heart will materialize and then zoom onto wherever she points that particular thing to deal damage via mystic means like a projectile would, likewise weighing down whoever's unfortunate enough to get struck by it for a few seconds.
    • Being a Gumiho, Ahri can drain the life essence of her victims if they're near helpless and near death, drinking in their vitality as well as fragments of memories to rejuvenate herself health-wise. Unlike the regular LOL Ahri, K/DA Ahri has a lot less cravings to contend with. She can also simply subsist off of regular ambient emotions, knowing the general mood of someone instinctively if she's close enough to them without actually reading their mind.
    • Physically she's as fast and flexible as a real fox scaled up to a humanoid figure and has enough bestial instincts to be able to hunt prey without being taught though she's pretty lazy in exercising so the girl has the defense of wet tissue paper in direct physical confrontations.
  • Equipment: Ahri has a lot of fashionable outfits as well as costumes, though her most prized accessory is the Orb of Deception which she uses to channel the majority of her foxy abilities through.
  • Backstory: One of K-POP's rising young stars, she made a name for herself back in the day by winning 2013's Pop Shine Awards and releasing a couple of singles before laying low for a while to reinvent a new image and brand for herself to retake the world by storm as a new and more mature Ahri, this time at the helm of an international band K/DA as its leader and lead singer. An avid entrepreneur, the celebrity enjoys gracing fashion runways and is the face of FOXY Cosmetics- even launching her own fragrance brand 'Charmed'.

Other Teammates

  • Name: Akali (nickname: Rogue)
  • Age: 21
  • Appearance: Hip Hop Ninja
  • Personality: Youthful and hot-blooded, Akali has the burning passion of the young as well as the assertive tendencies of someone who intends to pioneer their own way through life without letting authority figures tell them what they can or can't do. A bit of a showoff, she enjoys wowing the crowd either through her mixed martial arts or her hot raps while holding onto both street smarts and street cred. That said, despite her anti-authoritarian stance, Akali still listens to people she respect like her close friends.
  • Powers: Akali hails from a family that runs a dojo and thus knows quite a lot about combat- both armed and unarmed. Skilled in mixed martial arts as well as modernized ninjutsu, the girl herself doesn't have any sort of supernatural ability other than being able to fight pretty good- especially if she's armed with a kunai and a kama. That said, her physical abilities alone are on the same level as someone in the vein of a Mortal Kombat character's.
    • Akali knows how to be ninja in such as being able to sneak up on people really quietly as well as blend into the shadows at seeming will, being much harder to spot in darker settings. She can also outright expediate the stealth aspect by throwing obscuring elements like smoke bombs to attack from various tricky angles. She can also ninja run, wall climb/jump, as well as perform high velocity dashes to close the distance from a couple dozen feet away incredibly quickly.
  • Equipment: Akali has access to the regular sort of stock ninja weaponry one might expect, though they're scaled a bit bigger than normal like a kunai the size of a Santoku knife or a kusarigama whose head seems to be a bit thicker and weightier than normal (said equipment also have a layering of gold emblazoned over the parts that aren't bladed). For disposable tools she has smokebombs, graffiti spray cans, throwing kunai knives, as well as a generously portioned corded cable to hook things from afar. Also all the clothes, mostly street punk attire (some are specially treated to glow neon bright in complete darkness).
  • Backstory: Originally the heir to a somewhat obscure martial arts dojo that taught a lot more things than the regular classes that moms would enroll their fifth grade children into, Akali chose to leave that particular life behind and took to the streets as a performer specializing in lyrical raps.
    • Discovered via social media by Ahri while she was still obscure, Akali was then snapped up into K/DA where she entered the mainstream big time along with the other talented ladies scoped by the vixen. Nowadays she writes the rap components of the band's songs as well as hosts surprise street events outside of organized venues.

  • Name:Evelynn (nickname: Siren)
  • Age: 25
  • Appearance: No.1 Diva
  • Personality: The unyielding 'heel' of the group, Evelynn is a person that one could easily liken to that of a true blue Hollywood diva- selfish, antagonistic, and uncompromising in her vision. To further her bad girl image, she has flings with people she deems attractive rather easily, drives very fast, and even storms out of televised events simply because she disliked a certain aspect of what they included. That said, the seemingly 'cold' woman is VERY loyal to what few people she calls friends and won't hesitate to use the various means at her disposal to ensure the happiness of her comrades as well as the misery of those that saddened them in the first place.
  • Powers: Evelynn is actually a demon in disguise of a human, being able to change her physical profile between that of her human form (she even has different human appearances to pick from), her true demonic form, or that of a shadowy form that displaces the majority of her features until it's nothing more than a black silhouette with glowing circular red lens peering where her eyes should be. The last form in particular is very good at slinking through the darker areas and people won't actually be able to see the colorful lens unless she's directly looking right at them. She can also see perfectly fine even in places that have very little or no lighting whatseover.
    • The main form of damage that Evelynn inflicts upon enemies relies on her 'lashers'- adroit appendages that grow from her back that can be used like bladed tentacles to pierce the target with its sharp stingers or lash at them like a whip. They're strong enough to hold up her body weight by acting as an impromptu chair and also can be used to choke or throw people they catch in their clutches. If need be, she can even eject a spike dart from the tip at high speeds for a ranged attack or slam into the ground to elicit serrated stalagmites to pierce through her targets (the tradeoff is that she'll require a minute to regrow the sharp bits). Used in compunction with her ambush skills, Evelynn makes for a natural predator specializing in stealth take-downs.
    • She also has biological elbow blades in her true form as well as incredibly sharp claws for secondary weapons should people try to tussle in more closely to try to be smarties and avoid her ranged weapons. All her natural tools of the trade are potent enough to puncture through mundane plate mail with ease.
    • Due to her demonic nature, she's not at all slowed down by most sorts of pain that won't cripple or limit her range of movements because she's at heart a sadomasochist who revels in that sort of thing whether it be inflicted on her or she inflicts it on the target. Evelynn herself feeds off of negative emotions caused by her hunting methodology though unlike her mainline self, she's a lot more restrained and human than her counterpart due to living among humans for so long.
  • Equipment: Fashionable outfits, fashionable glasses, and metallic claws and metal capped ribbons that are used in lieu of her biological components while in human form.
  • Backstory: A Hollywood starlet who's rather infamous for her uncompromising artistic vision as well as diva tendencies, Evelynn is a person that's both hard to get along with and hard to impress, being something of a royal pain in the ass for most people to deal with.
After breaking up with various bands and organizations because they lacked the overall drive and dedication (as well as her outright not liking them), the demon then reconnected with Ahri who surprisingly made her care for the new band enough to befriend them. The rest was history as K/DA was born and took the world at large with her particular contribution to the band being the music artist and lyrics writer.

  • Name:Kai'Sa (nickname: Bokkie)
  • Age: 22
  • Appearance: @KDAKaisa
  • Personality: Earnest and endearing but lacking a bit of common sense due to her rather mobile upbringing, Kai'Sa is a girl whose passion for something burns as bright as a star- whatever she is interested in she'll put the entirety of her being into said thing to ensure that it's the best that it could be whether it's cooking, dancing, or linguistics. Is a very sisterly/motherly sort of person and is the sort of person to support you from the background without asking for anything in return.
  • Powers: Touched by the Void in certain ways, Kai'Sa's powers comes from an extradimensional biological exosuit that adheres to her body in a sort of symbiosis like relationship that lends her great eldritch powers in exchange for her knowledge and continuation in keeping its great hunger fed (which is why she eats so much). Luckily in a modern day setting with a lot of food, the Voidborn exosuit is a lot more manageable given it's now spoiled rotten in having its choice of meals to eat every day.
    • Her Second Skin is basically a biological power armor that acts a lot like kevlar would if it could also harden its surface into the hardness of an equivalent layer of titanium for a split second to mitigate impacts, being able to generate a full-bodied covering over the face and exposed skin in less than a second as well. Once it takes a certain amount of damage though, the layerings will grow brittle and crack away to reveal the more defenseless wearer underneath.
    • Her symbiote's special ability besides being a living armor is to act as a sort of physical reinforcement booster that allows her to throw down with superhuman strength and speed in the vein of Captain America as well as launch concussive force bolts from her hands, rain down eldritch energy missiles from her floating drone wings to explode upon her opponents with unrelenting force, generate energy blades around her hand to rip and tear, or give her a dash attack to slam into the enemy at high speeds or extricate herself from a conflict much more easily.
    • The symbiote can also generate a personal bubble-like shield around her person that lasts for 2 seconds and can tank a lot of punishment though casting that particular ability is a lot more draining than everything else the suit can do so it's not something she can pull off all that regularly.
  • Equipment: All the outfits, as well as the ever present symbiote clad on her person in the form of spandex and the golden drone wings.
  • Backstory: Not much is known about Kai'Sa other than the fact she moved around a lot in her youth, living in ten different countries in a multilingual lifestyle before she finally began to pursue her dreams of a pop star and got picked up by Ahri. Somewhere along her travels she picked up her Voidborn partner and all but tamed it with prodigal amounts of home cooking, and after K/DA's runaway success she acts as the team cook, dance choreographer, and general all background helper to help ensure the little things run smoothly so the big picture looks amazing for the band.

I'm thinking of having some of my favourite Paladins Champions in the game, but none of them has canonical ages. Are they allowed in this case?

Also, I'm considering adding in characters from Brawlhalla and Postal 2 in the roleplay.
