haven't seen the old show, but just going by the trailer, it looks like something i could get into.
i'll check it out once it starts airing.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.Animation that doesn't look like cheap Flash OR 'me too' CGI!
HALLELUJAH!
Series starts next week with "Dangermouse Begins Again". From what I could gather on the episode guide for this one, the plot is that After totalling most of London, DM falls out of favor and is decommissioned
I'm not sure about Baron Greenback's voice.
Your momma's so dumb she thinks oral sex means talking dirty.Yeah, Col. K does'nt quite sound like himself either, but I'll let it pass because it's Steven Fry and he may add a Melchant spin

This also includes a sneek peek at the design for Count Duckula.
I can see them trying to push a Tsundre dynamic between DM and Sqawkencluck (and to some extent DM and Jeopardy)
BRIAN BLESSED playing Santa is genius.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not. When Sqauwkencluck is talking to DM from the night club, it looks like she's sporting a Ms. Marvel t-shirt.
That was an alright premier. Liked all the oddjob rounds DM had after he got fired, the parking ticket one even became a pivotal plot point at the conclusion.
The bits with the split screens was funny...they basically have to share the same sets as the crime lab because of a budget cutback.
They managed to sneek in an arm being cut off and excused it as being just Col.K's hologram. There's even a reference to Red Dwarf when DM theorizes that it uses hard light beam technology.
Another callback was showing where the original Frog's Head Flyer from the classic series was stored (I'm not that big a fan of the new design in comparison)
Loved that the I-Patch has a ring tone, that and the newspaper disguises, Penfold even tries to answer a crossword on DM's disguise.
This looks great. I never watched the original Danger Mouse, but I loved Duckula, and this seems really fun stuff in the vein of Darkwing Duck.
I hope this will be the 'good guy' Duckula and not the evil prototype version I've read debuted in Danger Mouse, although the absence of Nanny and Igor in the promo tells me it isn't. And I loved those two, as well...
Good art and animation for this sort of show. The photographic backdrops worked. Made me laugh a few times with its clever picks at the fourth wall. Odd plot on which to start a show though. It's certainly faster and more energetic than the old cartoon.
And it is more overtly British than the old Danger Mouse anything ever made by the BBC. Seems like Scotland's independence movement has created a reaction.

Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years.Today's episode was the first proper test of the show's short-form format (11 minutes or so) and it was a delight to wacth. It crammed in so many jokes and a nice well-woven plot, and again one of those jokes you sort of initially dismiss crops back up and becomes pivotal to the plot later.
They got some crap past the radar too. Poor Squawkencluck...
And in a Freeze-Frame Bonus DM's passport refers to Penfold as his spouse.
ROFL, thanks, didn't catch that one
Today's one was a hoot with giant space bees, a peeved-off Squack and welsh-talking plants. That little welsh diddy over the end credits was a nice touch
Would I need to watch the first series to 'get' this one?
Not really no, it's standalone enough.
Thoughts on today's episode, "Planet of the Toilets"
-I liked how DM's hunch was right and even the food was trying to take Squawk's invention.
Other highlights
-Penfold trying to hold his stomach together while the car rattled across the speed bumps
-Professor "John" Loocifer
-Rights for Toilets picket lines.
-"I'm no longer taking your...your...I can't even say it"
I thought the villain was a bit too reminscent of the Powerpuff Princess character (hell her name is the same), but otherwise a decent ep. Quite liked how her home unfolded like a dollhouse. Squawk seems to put more love and attention into her own artefacts than people, Penfold actually looked sort of hurt she favoured her PEN over him. DM in drag was gold...and the narrator choosing to address him by his female alias at the end added to the fun.
Overall, a great first week. Show resumes on Monday, but I am very impressed with what's been seen so far.
A bit frantic but still fun today. Max Headroom fans will get a kick out of Big HEAD. Penfold in his Giraffe Warriors Onsie was adorkable. DM and Squawk got to hug too.
The "DM is Stupid" website has to be a real thing someday.
Ha, "The Vacuum of Space"...is a literal vacuum. The world wide web is actually maintained by a giant spider. And it likes table tennis. Penfold showed a remarkable degree of competancy, from knowing how to deal with spiders to helping DM overcome his fear by building him up from small to large (and enjoying a bit of a back massage from one too)
To quote a line from Space Ghost Coast 2 Coast the Baron can turn red traffic lights green...just by staring at them.
Pretty weird how in the pilot DM uses a spacesuit, and then in later episodes set in space they're constantly going about it without any breathable apparatus.
Poor Col.K, his hologram endures all those surprise attacks from DM but when he finally turns up in person to congratulate the pair, Penfold gets the drop on him for real. Penfold did seem more elated that the Colnel remembered his name though
And so the world is saved by acts of cowardice. Loved how even though DM managed to turn the showrunner into a hero, he did'nt want it at the end. Penfold is showing more and more competence in this series
A bonkers episode today. Jeporday Mouse makes her debut, whole countries get switched around and smashed into one another all together, and DM tries to insist he's secretive when there's a giant billboard of him advertising "Danger Flakes"

Today we got some focus on Col. K, including a flashback to his earlier days as an active agent. I liked how the narrator tried to find different jobs to do in this episode because Col. K took over his usual duties at the start, and the characters only learn of Bad Boy's theft because the narrator resumed his job. I liked Bad Boy's little gang, and we got both an invisi-jet and an invsi-villaness in the same episode.
Some details of this revival of the classic 80s animated endeavor which will see Alexander Armstrong and Kevin Eldon voice DM and Penfold, with Col.K voiced by Stephen Fry
-There will be an all-new character, a female American agent called Jeopardy Mouse.
-Lena Heady (Game of Thrones) and John Oliver have joined the voice cast
-Count Duckula will appear
A trailer dropped as well
I like "The Force Awakens" parody, but that aside, it's mainly action-oriented and just gives a good feel for DM and Penfold than anyone else, also you can hear the new version of the theme
