Wanda poofs into Ljósálfheimr. It feels like, instead of her soul being severed, she's manifested into a new body.

Ninten is right there. The flowers don't respond to Wanda, but... Well, she can smell the aroma now too. It smells like concepts rather than real scents. There's a bright blue one that smells like lucidity and control, a white one that smells like valor and heroism, a pink one that smells of romance and love...

She won't be 'enthralled' by them the way Ninten seems to be, but they're certainly unnatural. That said, they're certainly real as well, so this isn't a straight-up illusion. But what could it be, then? Either it's actually as innocent as it looks, or the trap is something more tangible than mind tricks.

Upon arriving in Ljósálfheimr, Wanda takes a moment to get adjusted to this strange new world. She looks around and smells the various flowers.

"Wherever I am, it's incredible... no, no, do not let this place suck you in with its tricks. Even if this isn't some horrific nightmare disguised as heaven, you're here to get Ninten and bring him back to his body."

She walks over to Ninten, taps him on the shoulder, and greets him with a warm smile.

"Hey, Ninten."

"God I hate 'Andrew'."

"Badoo... ska di da doop. Di da ba di skdoo dadee? Bap." A movie is when, like... ... you play it on a screen, and then you watch it, and it's a show? Um. Like a book but with pictures, but only the pictures, and they move and talk. I think.

Then Max goes on her fucking rant, leaving Weiss and Boyfriend speechless.

"B-beep?"

He looks utterly lost.

"... Jesus FUCKING Christ, Max."

Weiss... um... shifts, in a few different directions. Like she's not sure whether or not to just blow it off like Max did or try to... say something about it? Give her a hug? She also notes that Max did not include Pyra at the end of her speech.

"Ba... badoop" Do you... want hug, or something?

He thinks for a second before lightly kicking Weiss's foot. She glares at him, but not having a better response, offers Max a light hug.

Ninten makes a surprised little jolt before turning his head and shoulders to look behind him at Wanda. He smiles upon seeing her.

"Oh man, Wanda! Hey! I didn't think I'd be seeing you here. How'd you get here?"

Near where Wanda first appeared, something else begins to fade in. Ninten doesn't notice yet.

Peony◊ flies in. "Ninten, what the heck are you doing? You nearly vomited the last time you tried to taste the nectar!"

She waves a hand and the flowers recede into the ground. She then promptly hovers around Wanda, studying her.

"You're friends, I presume?" Since time is nonlinear in Ljósálfheimr, he's most likely already met her, but she's still new to Wanda. "I'm Peony, the Sweet Dream. I'm a ljósálfar - or light elf, if you will."

If this isn't a trap, she's still so cheery it's almost obnoxious.

Inside The Colony

Odin grimaces, sending energy blasts shaped as bones at the new Devil Gundam before slipping into shadow.

Wanda grins at Ninten and playfully tousles his hair.

"Giegue told me about what happened to you aboard his old ship. So, I went looking for your soul, learned that it had wound up here, and got here by falling asleep."

She notices that something appeared to being forming in near where she arrived.

"Come on, we should find the exit."

Then Peony suddenly joins them, prompting Wanda to regard her with a curious look.

"Oh, you're a Light Elf? I don't remember Thor or Loki ever saying anything about Light Elves looking like fairies," she replies. "Anyway, I'm Wanda Maximoff. Ninten's actually one of my closest friends. Do you know the way out of here, Peony? I have to make sure Ninten returns to his body. His uncle's worried sick about him."

"Is she being genuine or is this just some kind of act?"

"Ah, yeah. To be honest, I dunno how my soul ended up here either.", Ninten says. Then he looks confused.

"Exit? You want to leave already?"

He then looks at Peony.

"W... well, I mean... maybe that one was... just... bad?", he says in a weak attempt to defend his decision to almost taste that again. He then lies down on the ground, looking up as Peony flies around Wanda. He appears surprised when he hears what Wanda says.

"Uncle Giegue? Worried about me? Really?"

"Yes."

Ninten, hearing the voice, gets back on his feet and looks. Giegue is now floating behind Wanda and Peony, having somehow found his way to this world as well.

"O-oh, hi Uncle Giegue.", Ninten says with a smile. When Giegue doesn't say anything, instead just staring at him, he starts to look unsure. He glances at Wanda.

"You, uh... sure he isn't just mad at me?", he quietly asks.

"He can leave whenever he wants to wake up. But... he stuck around looking for answers. Ljósálfheimr is the land of good dreams, and its flipside, Dökkálfheimr, is the land of nightmares."

Welcome to Ljósálfheimr!

Peony flits around. "Time passes weirdly in this place - you can spend whole days in here and barely any time will have passed in the real world at all! Ninten's been here long enough to tour both sides. He told me about some kind of nightmare realm you were having trouble with, but Dökkálfheimr wasn't anything like that place. It somehow sounds... scarier than Dökkálfheimr."

She then looks pouty. "So about the nectar. While we were heading to Dökkálfheimr, he spotted one of those flowers and decided to try and drink the nectar right out of the plant, without even asking me if that would be safe! Fortunately, all that happened was a lot of gagging. A LOT."

"That's the nectar of the gods. If you drink it, you might become an álfr like me. But when that didn't happen, he went right back and tried it again and I had to drag him away! I've told him, you can't become an álfr as long as you have a reason to stay in reality - some purpose to fulfill, or friends and loved ones. I swear he keeps trying just to give me a heart attack."

When Weiss says fuck, the light in Ruby's eyes dies.

Glass Shattering Sound Effect

"W-Weiss, you..."

She pulls her hood over her face and starts bawling like a baby, falling to her knees. "I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU'D DO THIS TO ME-HE-HEEEEEEE!"

Breaking through

When seeing how their attacks destroyed the Gundam, our group of 6 gave hugs and hi-5 themselves.

Rest of the adventure

After the battle, the golem dissapeared. They heard the voice of Samus.

Pamp: I recognize that voice. It's Samus' one. But it sounds... Somewhat different.

Pili: And she wants to play hide-and-seek with us! How fun!

Our group walks in silence all of the trip, until...

Vs. Core Gundam

...they found the Core Gundam.

Love: It's time to pay what you have done to that girl!

Super Love sings with her microphone, turning her voice into pure love energy. And Super Pamp accompany her with his guitar, firing powerful sonic waves.

Wanda blinks in surprise when Giegue suddenly arrives, but figures he was probably going to explain how he got here in a minute. She looks at Ninten and nods in response to his question.

"I talked to him just before I got here. He regrets bringing you along to fight whoever had taken over his ship. Talk to him yourself if you don't believe me."

She shifts her gaze back to Peony.

"I thought it was called Svartalfheim... Anyway, I don't know anything about this Dökkálfheimr, but as someone who's actually been to the nightmare realm Ninten mentioned, I can definitely vouch for how terrifying it is," she says.. "I seriously hope you never have to go there yourself."

Then she giggles at her story about Ninten's attempts to taste the nectar.

"That's Ninten for you, Peony. He's always been a little quirky like that, though I honestly wouldn't have him any other way."

Ninten listens to what Wanda says, then turns to Giegue. Giegue, meanwhile, has been listening to Peony's explanation before he looks back at Ninten.

"... I-"

Giegue suddenly warps over to Ninten, getting right in his face and looking furious, even grabbing Ninten by the front of his shirt and lifting him up.

"Ninten! You stupid, idiot human child, you... YOU...!"

Giegue's sudden outburst startles Ninten, and he prepares for the worst. And then... Giegue hugs him, looking incredibly emotional.

"Never take such a risk again, do you understand!? Not even for my sake!"

Ninten is so shocked that he genuinely needs about 10 seconds to even realize and rationalize what's happening right now. Giegue, showing affection and worry? For him?

"I-I-I'll try to be more careful.", he mutters, voice a little shaky because this is so freaking weird that he can still barely comprehend it. He does eventually hug Giegue back though.

Peony idly floats about.

"I asked my sister Triandra if she could help with your nightmare-realm situation. She's a dökkálfar who controls all nightmares."

Uh-oh.

"She should be here... aaaaaaany minute now."

VS. DEVIL GUNDAM

Megan tossed her Lightning Step infusion to Omega, her Mega Stormherald Grease to Thraix, her Celestial Mana Elixir to Rho, and, after... a fair bit of contemplation, tossed her Crystal Dragon Mutator to Narktus.

"Hey... make good use of that, big guy. It's part of a down-payment I got from a demigod."

As the others applied/drank their potions, Megan simply readied her axe in one hand, and kept her off-hand free.

"Time to see what we're capable of!"

Thranix applied the grease to his brawling gear, and decided to immediately open by activating [Lion's Rage]. No time like the present to go for combo buffs, eh? He followed this up by spinning up his yo-yo and using it to grapple up to the Devil Gundam in an attempt to latch onto its side, before unleashing a lighting-buffed, flashpoint-priming barrage of empowered punches!

Omega planted his feet and proceeded to do the fucking lightning-boosted Akuma◊ slide◊ over to the Final Devil. Punctuating this, his Stand separated from him and proceeded to say 'FUCK magic, I do what I want' before throwing an unrelenting barrage of darkness-infused punches and kicks with a roar of    「MESSAAAAAAAAATSUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!」   

Megan twirled her axe again, spinning it like she had been trained in axes all her life. She stopped it with a strike against the ground, then promptly warped forwards with a blade-dragging uppercut! It seemed as though she had teleported, but the blue-burning gash left behind in the floor indicated there was proper movement behind the strike.

Rho stepped forward, seeming to be more sure of himself at this point than at any point prior. He held up his spirit-staff in one hand, and placed his free hand in front of the center of where his face would have been in a sort of hand-sign — probably as a sort of focus thing. An arcane read-out of sorts sprang to life in front of him, as he attempted to get a feel for what was going on inside that machine... possibly to limited success.

In the meantime, his summons got to work trying to dismantle the Devil Gundam. The Gunstar expanded its limbs and let loose with a barrage of arcane bolts, trying to peel off armor across the frame. The Herald of Sol split its staff back into twin polearms, and made two light-trailing slashes as the legs of the machine, attempting to cripple its movement. The Coiling Darkness melded into one shadow, and re-appeared somewhere behind the machine, before attempting to slither upon onto its back to peel away yet more armored plates!

Wanda can't help but crack a grin at the sight of Giegue hugging Ninten.

"See? I told you he was worried about you, Ninten."

Then she wheels on Peony.

"Wait a minute... as much as I would appreciate her help with that place, she's not going to bring anything terrifying from Dökkálfheimr to this place, is she?"

Ninten, while still being hugged by Giegue, turns his head to look at Peony.

"You did? Thanks!"

... seems Ninten might be misinterpreting what Peony means with 'helping'.

Peony blanches. "... I'm so sorry I'm so sorry I'm so sorry! I forgot to make sure!"

Triandra◊ appears.    "Hello."   

"Triandra... did you bring Ninten's nightmares?"

   "Yes. What better way is there for him to improve than to face his fears?"   

"That's true... but nightmares don't belong here in the first place!"

   "Too late."    She snaps her fingers. First, a hellish snowstorm blows in. Then, the still-evil King Sombra walks in, and the pained cries echo from Giegue on the verge of becoming Giygas.

There's even a Nesley there - one who, in Ninten's nightmares, finally has enough of their constant rivalry and snaps, becoming evil again.

But at the head of the pack stands... something indescribable. It's made of pure darkness, like a sleep paralysis demon, but nothing else about its shape can quite be made out.

Ninten, however, will know exactly what it's supposed to be.

"TRIANDRA WHAT IS THIS" screams Peony.

   "His nightmares. If they're so scary, can't you just dispel them?"

"Damn it..."

Wanda tries preparing a spell and, relieved to find that she still had access to her magic in this realm, begins charging her attack.

"There's been a misunderstanding here!" she says. "I really don't think Ninten's fears have anything to do with our problem!"

Giegue now lets go of Ninten as he looks at the incoming nightmares. Despite seeing what is obviously a dark parody of himself, he doesn't back down.

"These shouldn't be much of a problem. The three of us can deal with these.", he says, glancing back at Ninten and pausing when he's trembling, looking white as a sheet with a frightened look on his face.

"Ninten? Are these that scary to you? If so..."

Giegue looks back at the nightmares and grins.

"We'll annihilate them and show you they're nothing to be afraid of."

Narktus catches Megan's Crystal Dragon Transformation potion. He looks over at Nicole.    "...Ironic."   

Well, bottoms up! He downs the potion in one gulp and tosses the vial aside. Just before the transformation takes hold, he conjures forth two shards - one of Galeem's blazing light and one of Dharkon's roiling darkness - and throws them at Pandora.    "Catch!"   

He then drops to all fours as wings sprout from his back and his face elongates into a snout. His armor morphs with him, creating the impressive visual of a dragon with armor plating and a muzzle made of steel. With a roar, he proceeds to conjure a wall of crystal to defend against the Final Devil's attacks.

Dr. McNinja pulls a shitload of grenades out of nowhere, throwing them one after another at the Final Devil.

Amaterasu leaps for Pepsiman, snatching the Moonlight Pepsi from his grasp (turning it back into the Moonlight Sword, now empowered by META FORCE and pepsi) and replacing it with a Sunlight Pepsi. Mmmmm, citrus blend.

"Exploding... God Slash!" Domon dashes past Final Devil with a sliding slash, leaving a trail of explosions in the wake of his blade.

Schwarz adds to the explosions with a volley of explosive throwing darts, while Master Asia begins to gather energy for something big...

At Nicole and Shinji's words, within the Final Devil's chest cockpit, something stirs. Core Unit Samus's eyes open... but the eyes are covered by more DG Cells, keeping her blind.    "Leave!"    she yells. Well, they got the real Samus to respond, but she's not playing along.

Final Devil reels back from Pepsiman's kick, but it responds with... a kick of its own. Wait, if the Devil Gundam and Samus are effectively the same person now, then...

Uh-oh.

A light builds up in the palm of its right hand, and it proceeds to shoot down Odin's bones with a volley of energy blasts before charging at Super Pamp and Super Love. The sonic waves don't make it flinch, but when hit by the love energy... it stops. It doesn't flinch, or go hurtling back, or even look damaged. It just pauses momentarily.

It roars again and sprouts two giant claws on cables from its shoulders. As Thranix clings to its side, one of these claws tries to pry him off and clutch him like a hostage, but he's still done damage to it either way. It turns to face the approaching Omega, dashing back when the Stand Rush threatens it, then dashing forwards again with a flying knee strike so huge it could blow Omega away... were it not for his super armor that will let him tank it.

Megan's axe splits open one of its legs. It roars, its voice backed by Samus crying out in pain.

Rho will be able to see everything. Samus's organic body has been essentially converted at the cellular level into part of the Devil Gundam, and her consciousness has spread to encompass the Final Devil's entire form. She remains nestled within the wires, awake but not truly conscious. There may be a way to force what has been done to her to undo itself... but how? Super Love's direct attack with love energy may serve as a hint.

It raises its arms to block the assault from the summons, responding by firing a huge purple eruption of flame and smoke from the shoulder-claw that isn't trying to grab Thranix.

It then seems unaffected, and unamused, by Doc's attempt to damage it with ordinary grenades. Raising a foot in preparation to squash him, it is suddenly interrupted by the Exploding God Slash, which, as it is already off-balance, topples it over entirely. It lands on its rear, but catches Burning Gundam by the foot as it rushes by and smashes it onto Narktus's conjured crystals, some of which pierce through the machine and cause Domon to yelp.

   "Oh?"    Triandra raises an eyebrow at Wanda.    "Then how about this? If you can defeat the nightmares, I'll tell you something that will be helpful for your own nightmare-realm situation. Do we have a deal?"   

"Yeah! We can beat them, easy! Blizzard, begone!"

The storm stops instantly. Well, that's one gone, but the Nightmare Nesley (ironic) forms a scythe from his bat and rushes at Ninten, while Nightmare Giegue launches a barrage of PK Beam energy bolts at Peony. Nightmare Sombra and the formless shadow-being, however... just stand back and watch.

Pepsi Man, still roughly empowered by the last remaining energy he can squeeze from his super-Pepsi, manages to barely dodge the kick aimed for him, jumping out of the way despite technically not having any surface to kick off of. Hasn't stopped him before, won't stop him now.

Landing, Pepsi Man gives a thumbs-up to Amaterasu, recognizing that while, to him, the moonlight Pepsi has outlived its usefulness, the power of joy, wonder, taste, delivery speed, and criminally underpaid workers, will be of more use to Amaterasu than to him now.

He drinks the Sunlight Pepsi. His speed and power is replaced by just power, and he launches a blast of liquid, burning magical sunlight at the Final Devil, hoping to knock it over with a wide-range blast, just to keep it held down.

...Of course, he overestimates himself in this moment- his attack alone will not be knocking that thing down no matter how enthusiastic he acts about it.

OP event space - away from the battle. Away from. Everything.

A man descends from the sky. His hair is white, his body is raked with rough, red scars, concealed by a full suit and tie with match black pants and dapper leather shoes.

He lands on a

And rights himself by turning the void around him into the correct orientation.

On his feet.

As it should be.

Reverence quakes in my voice, and I shift my gaze towards the filling-in sky. Ah, at last, I think to myself... a semblance of truth, of reality, of being.

But just as quickly I find.

My place in this world.

W846 raises his hands to the sky, and prays. He prays for terror and sorrow and hatred and love and life and death and pain and fortune and glory and cold and hot and sound and light and dark and everything and nothing and now and gone and June and July and August. He prays for the light drink lord of hold me in the I can't take this I can't I can't I can't I can't she is watching me-

Desperately and horrendously he lurches over onto himself and spews the nothing within his chest across the stone floor, begging and pleading for the pain to end despite knowing nothing else but the pain I just came to exist a few minutes prior, please, Live Legna, will you help me! Show me the way forward! I will do as you please if you simply ask!

I CAN GIVE NO MORE THAN MY HATRED.

He freezes in place, for lack of a response. The words and numbers fill his head and he takes ahold of it, shaking himself wildly with his muscles and tendons until the pit in his non-existent stomach stops breaking apart with each passing second. Bitterly, he spits up a single monarch butterfly. It flies away into the void of space.

W684 falls to the ground, the pain relieved, and he weeps.

A slow, shifting light drifts into his view.

The sunlight fills his eyes and he goes blind looking at it for a fraction of an instant. Bitter for the loss but desperate for the warmth he reaches out a hand towards the star and it hurts so much but he cannot let go not for a second not until

It changes. He changes. The nuclear heat goes from the outside into the inside because he has suffocated himself drinking the life of the broth and he is anew, alight with light and memory. The memory of pain and pain and pain and pain and pain and pain and pain and pain and pain and pain and pain and love. So much love. He cannot understand it. It is dismissed. Lonely and lonely and lonely and lonely and warm and confined but loved and then free and then pain and dark and then love all over again. He feels a memory.

A gentle hand is placed against his body of prisms. It tells him he is going to be alright.

...That cannot be right, can it?

Those are not his memories. They are the memories of the light drifting through the void, bitterly spit up so as to not be rejected by the format of the world his master wished so desperately to format him to.

No. Not the light itself. But the light had been possessed by it, not long ago in time. He tries to wrap his head around it. Moment to moment to moment to moment but the understanding is impossible.

Would it make Live Legna proud, if he were to format himself to it?

Was that the plan this entire time?

W684 cackles a tear in reality. He is going to find out one way or another. One way or another. One way or another.

NOT NOW. NOT WHILE THIS WAR IS BEING FOUGHT. THE DEVIL IN THE SKY MAKES NARRATION ON THIS SCALE DIFFICULT FOR "Small". BUT WHEN I GIVE THE WORD. I WISH FOR YOU TO BRING THEM. YOUR STRONGEST. IT WILL BE NEEDED. THE ALTERNATIVE. IS NOT WORTH CONSIDERING.

Nicole glances at Narktus as Megan's potion transforms him into a Crystal Dragon. While the irony definitely wasn't lost on her, she had much more important concerns at the moment. Namely, getting Samus out of this nightmarish machine alive.

"I ain't leaving without you, ma'am! The Devil Gundam might be powerful and otherworldly and terrifying as hell, but it's got nothing on the woman who tangles with the likes of Ridley and walks away every time. Think about Darkness, Jotaro, Snake, Ruby, Ban, everyone back at Defense Fed and Breakout Force! They all care about you, just like me! Now fight this unholy son of a bitch's influence and don't stop until you're free!"

Noticing the claw threatening to grab Thranix, she fires her long-since charged Arcane Blast at it in the hopes of saving her fellow half-dragon.

Wanda nods to Triandra.

"Yeah, that sounds good to me!"

She then unleashes the now-charged crimson beam at Nightmare Sombra.

Pandora catches them both, though it isn't easy with both her arms transformed. She eventually just sends out a pair of threads to hold onto them.

"Wait what are t-", she tries to ask, but Narktus already moves in to attack.

"Never mind then."

She continues to charge her shots, unaware that the shards she got are empowering her weapons further. She takes aim at the Final Devil before unloading two boosted Annihilator Beam shots.

The four Meta Knights, meanwhile, each flip their cape, momentarily darkening the area around them... after which they attempt to strike the Final Devil with powerful Galaxia Darkness strikes.

Hub Centralis

From out of an alleyway, a boy has been watching the faraway battle while remaining hidden in the shadows himself. He moves towards a garbage container for a moment, tossing in what looks to be a small bag filled with blond hair.

Afterwards, he retreats back into the shadows immediately.

Ninten still seems frozen in place. That is, until he's struck by Nightmare Nesley's scythe-bat, the pain snapping him out of it for a moment.

Giegue's attack was inexpl-

Giegue is about to cast healing PSI on Ninten to heal the wound he got when the wound just... vanishes on its own, despite Ninten not having used any of his own healing PSI.

"Alright, here goes!", Ninten says, brandishing his bat and attempting to deliver a brutal swing to Nightmare Nesley's head. Clearly, whichever one of these nightmares had petrified him, it wasn't this one.

Giegue, while confused about what just happened, now focuses on his nightmare self instead, unleashing a powerful psychic burst that he hopes to send Nightmare Giegue flying with.

Xoeur buffs the fuck up, and blasts forwards, her arms behind her like she's Naruto running. A ball of lightning generates in each.

   "OUARGH!"   

Just before she reaches the Final Devil, she swings her arms forwards to slam and fuse the balls of lightning together for a moment, initiating a magnificent conflagration of Black lightning.

   "RADIOELECTRIC SHINE ATTACK!"   

Two women fall out of an opened boundary, kicking up a cloud of sand as they're slammed into the beach.

"Whah! What the hell just happened, yeah?" says the first, rubbing her head.

"Other than us losing? I'm not sure. I'm going to have some serious words for Yukari when we get back."

Marisa gets up, looking around in confusion. A tropical beach...

"If we get back. Where are we, huh?"

"... Tch! And I had to end up here with you of all people!"

A young boy huffs and puffs, hiding behind a small garbage bags in an alleyway. Some turtle guy with a headband peers in, as if searching for him. Which, well he is.

"You in here, huh, twerp?"

"..."

The turtle grunts, before moving along to the next. It takes several minutes, but the boy eventually lets out a small sigh of relief. He got away again.

"It's not safe here they followed me it's not safe here they followed me it's not safe here they followed me it's not safe here..." he mutters to himself.

He wants to call out for help. He knows a few people. But then... what if someone else hears? The boy is... well, a boy. A child.

Nagato Yuki is reading silently in her armchair by lamplight. Every few minutes, she takes a sip of tea. No sugar. What is she reading?

"That's private."

Tch. Whatever. There's a knocking. I don't know how anyone can knock on a dimensional rift, but I guess someone knows how.

"...?"

Nagato climbs out of her chair, making sure not to make enough noise to wake up Achakura or Mr. Green. When she makes it over to the 'opening', she splits the rift, and blinks in mild surprise.

... And now? Nothing. There's nothing left! The problem with Chaos is... it is fleeting. It is inconsistent. It cannot remain focused when its constituents are infinitely varied in motivation, ability, and form. For one glorious moment, he had a united front, a wave of pawns he could use to obliterate anything in his path...

Then his greatest pawn breached the bottom of the Material Universe, to reveal a pristine... and EMPTY realm, offering none of the resistance he prepared for. His forces flooded it, ready to make it their own personal playground... and instantly forgetting who was in COMMAND.

Many good dae died that day to Overclock's fury. And yet, for all his killing potential, infinitely more replaced each he slew. In the end, he was reduced to another abomination among the horde, barely scraping out enough territory to make himself more notable than a lowly broo.

He replays in his mind how his future counterpart - who still failed in his primary goal, I might add - was slain by those children. Embarrassing. Disgusting. Chaos has been reduced to this...?
