The nerd seems to be working on some chemistry garbage. Junior is perched on his shoulder like some sort of Pikachu, watching his work intently.

Aldon is knocked onto his back by X, but he hasn't lost a life just yet. "Ellder!"

"On it!" The elf tries to keep Rosy from getting a chance to pick up her hammer, namely by standing over it and jabbing at her from afar if she gets close.

Conton City, Callis's Room

Callis belatedly opens a Christmas present from Oca. It's a crate's worth of Attack Water.

Is this his way of telling me I'm not strong enough? she wonders, starting to get mad, before shaking her head. That's Zelerie's influence talking.

Although... Zel was right, wasn't she? At least, about overcoming those you think are beyond your level. Probably not the 'rip off their heads and shit down their necks' part.

Now who could I train against that offers more than pure offensive power...?

Oh, right.

Callis appears behind Oca using Instant Transmission. "Yo potato man."

Junior startles and goes flying when Callis appears.

"Howdy-doo, onion girl. I'm trying to put together a compound of katchin and sunnubora for usage in my artiflesh, but the ki'netics won't -"

He launches into an explanation that is somehow too concise and too longwinded before shutting his yap with the realization that she's probably not there for that.

"Anyways, haha, what's up with you?"

"Well, you're spry, at least," she mutters dryly.

Then she pounds her chest with one fist. "I want you to fight me. Right now!"

Replica "Hill"

Rosy isn't the brightest tool in the carton, and gets jabbed once, twice, three times before hopping up and going for another Homing Attack.

X tries to do a heel stomp, his foot laced with dark Ki, going right for the place he just stabbed.

Ellder gets knocked down by the Homing Attack.

Aldon is KO'd again, but Toldor revives and attempts to assist Ellder by bringing the flat of his longsword down on Rosy's back.    "Bad... spiky creature. Bad."

He blinks.

"Aren't you strong enough to crack a universe in half? ... I mean, okay, a fight sounds fun, but don't be offended when I pull out every dirty trick in the book to try and scrape out a win."

With that said, he capsulizes his chemistry set and bawoops it off to somewhere that isn't here.

Rosy: "Yeah, I'm bad, so wh-" donk.

She is now sporting a comical bump on the head. "Ohhh... now you're in for it!"

She grabs her hammer and does a spinning swing, launching a danmaku spray of energy drills!

X resorts to his old tricks - blood manipulation. He creates a number of floating spikes out of hardened blood and launches them at Ellder.

Ellder is down, but Toldor is still fresh and raring to go. He charges through the drills, aiming to just clobbah Rosy!

Aldon resurrects and attempts to charge into X shield-first.

Callis... smirks. "That's what I'm counting on."

Destroyed Planet Namek - Dragon Ball Xenoverse

She hunkers down and starts building up energy. Slow at first, but the rate of buildup accelerates over time.

Tournament of Power Arena - The Wash

Laxin stared at the monitor displaying the fight of the Helltakers team. The sith gave no attention to Stitch, his focus solely on Cerberus and Rimuru. As blow after blow was exchanged, Laxin's focus on the two only sharpened.

Once Cerberus had slain her opponent, Laxin chuckled to himself. He watched for a few more moments as the team was disqualified, then turned to leave the arena.

Oca grins, and gets into a stance more reminiscent of a sharpshooter than martial artist. His ki follows suit, though it lags noticeably behind Callis's.

He opens fire with a few shoots of the latest in technology - Sunnubora-tipped bullets. Though definitely not strong enough to deal serious damage, their properties mean that raised ki means jack shit against what damage they do deal.

Rosy falls.

X:    "Wh-what? I'm all alone?"   

Ellder resurrects.

"Well, god..."

   "Why don't we give you a taste..."   

"Of your own medicine?"

Elder leaps in with a vertical tornado slash, Aldon follows up with another shield-bash-and-slash, and Toldor finishes the leapfrog of attacks with an overhead slam!

X gets caught in the chain of strikes, and ultimately launched into another realm... into Beneril.

"These are the foes we faced along the way."

A hollow-eyed, possessed-looking Wood Elf slashes at X with a shortsword, then barrages him with arrows.

A demonic sorcerer warps in, raises up a hand and rains down energy blasts on his head.

"And you will be added to their number!"

Another possessed foe - a halberd-wielding man similar in appearance to Aldon - runs in and blitzes X with slashes. Joining him in the melee frenzy is a very-much-not-possessed mountain troll, wielding a curvy and wavy version of Toldor's longsword with much greater skill than Toldor himself.

   "But compared to them, you're nothing!"   

A Night Elf wielding a spear and shield jumps in next, barraging the demon with stabs.

A giant troll stomps in and smashes the ground with its club, scattering the foe into the air...

"For peace! For glory!    For justice!"   

... where he is struck down by a gigantic demon wielding some kind of axe-sword-halberd, blowing X back into the Arena with a single swipe of its destructive weapon.

Callis is mildly scratched in the bare-skin parts that are hit by the Sunnubora rounds, and unaffected by those that hit her - y'know - battle armor. She leaps at Oca with a vertical spinning kick a la that one move Gogeta did to Broly that made it into the Dramatic Finish.

The downside of flashy moves is that they are telegraphed pretty badly. He dashes straight backwards in a manner that would be impossible for anyone that doesn't have a way to control their thrust and moves to punish this raw super with a burst of Frostfire from his palm.

X is assaulted on all sides, then blown back into 'Hill'. It's almost mocking how he lost a fight on the replica of his home turf, but alas, he struggles to his feet only to collapse once again.

"Phew... I almost cannot believe we won that." Ellder collapses on his back.

Fu arrives and pops a med-capsule, then warps everyone back to the Tournament of Power Arena. "Do you want your extra lives back?"

"Yes please."

"YEET" Fu snaps his fingers and launches some sort of life-energy into the Heroes of Beneril.

Callis experiences the sensation of burning and freezing at once. She shudders a bit, but then just tries to punch Oca really, really hard.

In the face.

Iris, still watching the last few matches, finishes her chicken wing. She also finally got that song out of her head.

After wolfing down the remainder of his turkey leg, Thor properly disposes of the bone and leans against his axe as he watches the matches play out.

Zelerie burps loudly and rise up, discarding a mini-mountain worth of bones as she powers up to get her aura flaring! HOLY FUCK I'M GOING TO SLAUGHTER SOMEBODY IF THOSE WEAKLINGS KEEP WASTING MY TIME WITH THEIR MATCHES! WHERE'S FUCKING OCA WHEN YOU ACTUALLY NEED HIS SORRY ASS?

Goku just finish eating up and pat his belly. I don't know, it was pretty exciting! Everyone in this tournament sure fought well! I hope I'll get to fight Shaq again! He says, pondering.

Vegeta says nothing and instead swipe Goku and Zelerie's remaining food for himself, with a smug smirk.

The Wash - Tournament Stage

Martin actually intercepts Thor's thrown bone with his floating hand before it can go in the trash. "Now, don't go wasting that. It's good for stock."

It's Rie's turn to get annoyed when Zelerie's screaming causes the tool on her hand to slip. "Hey, keep it down a little, would you? I'm trying to work on something here. Save the yelling for the matches."

Reuben takes notice of the third member of the team their companions are coming up against, and pokes Aleifr about it. "Hey, you. You're coming up next against some of us, right? What's your name?"

Oca's eyes widen just before Callis's fist slams into his face with the force of a truck, except way harder. She might be surprised to find that his face feels... hard than flesh should? It looks like his artiflesh is being made up of sturdier stuff these days.

Either way, there's some nasty cracking noises as unseeable threads pop before he rolls with the punch and hits the ground. After a second or two he manages to maneuver into a standing position.

"Kaio - ken!"

He flies back at her, throwing a feint ki-encased punch with one hand, while the other fires a kiai from its palm after a second.

Fu conjures a brick and lobs it at Zelerie's head. "The final match of the round just finished. Wait for the results to be announced."

Shaq is enjoying some KFC. Sephiroth treats himself to the gourmet cooking of none other than Link, definitely a master chef and not at all someone who has created Dubious Food before.

Callis goes to block the punch, but flinches from the kiai.

She just goes Super Saiyan and attempts to clobber Oca into the dirt.

Iris looks at Martin, finding the floating hand a little cool, judging by her looking impressed.

"Wow, I've never seen something like that before."

She then looks at Aleifr.

"I'm Iris. Who're you?"

Zelerie get bricked and fall over, though she catch herself on her hands with some decent agility and gift Fu and Rie with a most delicious middle-finger.

Eat my boots... imp guy, whateveryournameis too!

If you don't keep it down, we won't get you to fight a really strong guy after the tournament! Warns Goku. Zelerie blinks and sit down, annoyed.

All that yelling is worthy of a low-class warrior, you know that?

So I'd need to stay quiet? Nah! Tournaments are driven by banter like this! It's not fun if you don't want to really beat the other guy up, not just for the challenge, but because he's such a pest!

Well, you could always taunt them mid-fight, and say that... I don't know, something about their mothers being fat?

...?

The Wash - Tournament Stage

"You'll see a lot more once we fight." Martin says with a smile.

Rie lets the Saiyans bicker among one another. Considering that's half the reason they won their first round, well.

"Aleifr." He extends a gauntleted hand to shake. "We overheard something about you being in this tournament for the prize when you were talking to Thor earlier. Mind telling us what it's for?"

Thor actually chuckles when Martin intercepts his thrown-away bone.

"Oh? I never knew leftover bones had any sort of value. Unless, of course, the marrow contains special properties for whoever might consume it."

The flinch gives him just enough time to get the hell out of dodge, and transform himself.

"Tch!"

His hand glows for a split second as he charges ki, before he swipes in front of himself to unleash a spread of Freeze Needle projectiles. Being imbued with ki, they stand a non-zero chance of puncturing Callis and debuffing her speed and agility.

• It doesn't.
• It does.

Link chimes in. Sephiroth gives him a look like 'how do you know that?'

Most of the needles are uselessly deflected, but a few manage to pierce.

"Argh, I hate speed debuffs!"

She somehow manages to say that with a smile on her face, before blasting a Galick Beam Cannon at Oca.
