The trainer snaps his fingers happily, and orders Parasect to use Leech Seed.

"Para!"

The buggy boy spurts the bad seeds at the sleeping bird.

Kyoko cheats to get her spear back quicker, turning back to her normal form [spear disappears] and back to meguca [spear reappears, in her hands]. She deflects the few arrows aimed towards her and braces for what's most likely Kriemhild's final attack.

Thor attempts to fiercely batter away the arrows with one strike of Mighty Mjolnir, and then veins pop all over his arm before he toss it dead on at Gretchen, intending to smash her with a mighty throw.

...

Sanji lands on the ground but he still has his Haki up and running! So when he's warned that the next attack is coming from behind his back, he raise his leg, heating it up until the lower half looks like its burning, and does a fierce backward spin-kick attack!

Its VERY personal, kid.

"WHAT!?", Colored Pencils cries out before it gets hit by all of its reflected missile pencils.

"Ugh... no way. Beaten by a no-name, no-talent piece of disgusting POP CULTURE!", it says, shaking a little as it looks all beat up.

"You were better when you were a silent protagonist, man..."

Both parts of the lid then stop shaking and fall down on the ground, after which the cracks on its body start to glow, and...

   Solo Snapback   

Rubber Band launches itself at Gold Mario after Scissors misses its Final Cut and gets Golden Hammer'd for its trouble.

Scissors, furious, then sets its sighs on Wick and Indigo, and it would definitely be grinning if it could.

   Final Cut   

It charges at both of them, trying to force Gold Mario to intervene to save them, as it plans to, if Gold Mario throws another golden fireball or golden hammer, suddenly turn on a dime and charge at Gold Mario instead as he's, presumably, still mid-throw, hoping to catch him in a position in which he cannot dodge.

   Bite Barrage   

Stapler, now having reloaded, tries to perform a Bite Barrage, followed by a Staple Gun (the move where it sits on its back and fires staples) at Gold Mario.

"Jean-Pierre! Oh, now you're gun' geddit, Mario!", Tape growls.

   Sticky Drill   

Tape tries to perform Sticky Drill again, but this time tries it two times in a row, aiming for the spot it had attacked before, wanting to find out if it can break through Gold Mario's golden armor.

Hole Punch continues to do it's own thing. Does it even want to fight anymore at this point?

"Yeah... me and Lucas will pay him a visit if we come across Botar while we're looking for Rin.", Claus says.

"So, speaking of Set... we've heard of some pretty brutal things that happened involving him and his group. How are you guys all doing?", he asks, a little worried again.

Galarian Articuno definitely didn't expect Sanji to be able to predict this, and as such gets a backwards kick to the face, backing off a little before it falls on the ground.

It actually gets afflicted by a Burn status (perhaps the kick functioned like Blaze Kick?), which deals slight continuous damage over time and halves its physical attack (though it has no physical attacks so that effect doesn't matter much).

Angrier than before, it now starts to exude a strange aura, attempting to use Psycho Shift to transfer its burn over to Sanji.

If it works, all the effects, including the continuous damage and halved physical prowess, will be passed over to Sanji while Galarian Articuno's status goes back to normal.

Galarian Zapdos, pausing, backs off a bit when the shards of ice materialize. When it starts to hail as well, Galarian Zapdos decides it should end this as quickly as possible, and thus tries to use Thunderous Kick again.

The force of the attack shatters the ice enveloping one of its legs as well, allowing it to defrost instantly.

Galarian Moltres, still snoozing, gets Leech Seeded.

Sanji can't quite predict nor defend himself against such an effect, and get burnt. He sniffs the air a little and then look down, only now realizing his predicament. Oh crap... I'm burning!

He compose himself quickly though, and just leap unto the ground, attempting to land in front of Articuno. Should he succeed, he then quickly spins, attempting to both blow the fire away and land several strong blows by spinning in a manner that would make Chun-Li proud!

"God, where the hell do I even start? The last time Thor and I went up against them, we got our asses kicked hard, and didn't even reach that horse-headed asshole's big superweapon," Pietro begins. "Somehow, they magically found out about Troa and Katre being double agents, and that Thor was planning a raid on their hideout. Long story short, I'm starting to wonder if maybe they can't be stopped..."

"Katre and Troa were freed from their brainwashing, though," Wanda assures. "Besides, Thor told us that Callis managed to defeat one of the Cabal's lieutenants."

"Yeah, their weakest member. They still have Eleven and that invincible kiss-ass who thinks he's some kind of emperor," Pietro retorts. "Not to mention that Callis was forced to pull out of this godforsaken war by her boss."

Gold Mario throws a boomerang, so that if Scissors does veer towards him, it'll get screwed by the rebound, and if it doesn't, the boomerang will pick up Wick and Indigo and pull them safely to him.

He tanks the barrage of staples, disregarding Stapler for the moment. As for all the other attacks, he throws a huge golden fireball into the air and leaps up after it to dodge them. His features become menacingly dark as his eyes start to glow and the fireball emits heat that reaches down below like a miniature sun.

Getting close enough to land a kick means getting within the effective radius of Gently Weeps, guaranteeing that at least Zapdos' foot will be frozen... until the force of the kick launches Ghiaccio away, that is. If it was going to run, now would be the time.

Red

Red takes a minute to think about what he should do here. He checks the Pokédex. ... Yeah, this thing is already registered in Nat Dex.

He shrugs and orders Parasect to use Leech Life.

"Parah-para!"

Seeing at least some sort of projectile coming in from behind it, Scissors tries its ploy and turns, only to find itself wasting its attack on the boomerang, cutting it in half, then pausing.

Rubber Band, its attack having missed, pauses as well and looks around, trying to find Gold Mario, then looking up when it feels some extreme heat.

"Is that... the spotlight I've been dreaming of?", it wonders aloud.

Unlike Rubber Band, Hole Punch, Tape, Scissors and Stapler immediately flee to the sides, trying to avoid the obvious incoming attack. Rubber Band seems to enamored by its own delusions though.

None of the four that actually fled dare to attack Gold Mario this round, considering he's right next to a flaming ball of death. Even Scissors doesn't seem to be so cocky as to go for that. It can probably cut through the attack, but the damage it'd take from the flames while doing so may be too much for it to handle.

Maybe Stapler would have been able to attack with its staples... if it didn't need to reload first, and it wouldn't have enough time to do so before Gold Mario has a chance to attack. The only other one who would've been able to attack safely was Colored Pencils, but...

Well, he's already dead.

"Ouch... that's even rougher than I expected.", Claus says.

"If I were in your shoes, I'd almost be considering seeing if Porky doesn't know more about them, seeing as he's from the future."

Beat

"Almost.", he reiterates, clearly not up for the idea himself and not actually expecting the Maximoffs to be up for it either.

"Anyhow, it's good to hear Katre and Troa aren't brainwashed anymore. ... but, uh, they're... not planning to attack people again, right?", he asks, unsure.

While the spinning kick works, unfortunately a Burn status isn't fully the same as actual flames, so it can't be dispelled that way. Galarian Articuno still gets hit by all of the hits though, but it doesn't reel back nearly as far from each of them as before, which'll tell Sanji just how much of a nerf his physical power got because of the status effect.

Considering that one can't get two statuses at once (except if one of them is Confusion), it seems to give up on Freezing Glare's chance to freeze, and as such starts flapping its wings to kick up wind again, trying a Hurricane once more.

Galarian Zapdos' foot gets frozen again, and after it lands it notices that Ghiaccio got sent flying a good distance.

While its honor and desire to fight strong opponents is still very strong, glancing down at the ground and its foot lets it know that it's not dealing with someone ordinary. Plus, its health is starting to get seriously low. A bit too low for comfort. If it faints, who knows what this crazy guy will do to it.

As such, it chooses retreat and starts running away, its running speed held back a bit by its frozen foot, but it'll thaw eventually, and once it does, Galarian Zapdos will be able to go at its full, rocketing speed again.

Galarian Moltres gets hit by Leech Life, but then suddenly awakens. Letting out a furious cry, it immediately uses Hurricane, trying to one-shot Parasect.

With its boosted stats, Hurricane being a powerful move and Parasect being 4 times weak to it... well, yeah, one-shotting it is definitely possible if it gets hit.

"Huh. ... an old friend of mine would've been pretty interested in those advancements of science.", Varik says to Sporacles, a little quieter and now glancing away.

Mario spikes the golden fireball at Rubber Bands with his foot.

And, in an ironic twist, if this kills Rubber Bands, they will be turned into a solid gold statue. It's how they'd want to go out.

Wick finally awakens. "h-holy crap..."

Ghiaccio screeches like a banshee before taking off in pursuit!

"Yeah, I'd rather throw myself off the top of the highest mountain than ask that runty little discount Hitler for help," Pietro says. "Anyway, that's probably the last thing on their minds after everything they've been through."

"Believe it or not, Thor's actually started to wonder if they're capable of redemption," Wanda adds. "At the very least, he and Troa have been getting along surprisingly well for two old enemies."

Tsk tsk tsk! How annoying!

Sanji dodge the Hurricane but his arm get shredded. For now, it seems like he wants to play defensive because of the debuff, opting to Skywalk around the Articuno at a fast pace, since his speed hasn't dropped, to try to confuse it. He even make actual afterimages out of it!

Red

Parasect screeches in pain as the Hurricane ravages its mushroomy body, blowing it back towards Red. Its HP plummets to a single point.

Parasect held on using its Focus Sash!

"...!"

Parasect uses Leech Life once again to try and s u c c some refreshing life energy from Moltres.

Rubber Band gets struck by the attack and falls on the ground after.

The area darkens, and a dramatic spotlight shines down on Rubber Band.

"Ohhh! It wasn't supposed to end like this, Mario... The AGONY! The BRUTALITY! The sheer injustice of it all!"

It dramatically reaches up with one of its sides, as if reaching up with a hand.

"O muses! O bard! Have you TRULY forsaken me for these flimsy, fleshy beings? I wanted to make this place GRAND! Eliminate things DULL and BLAND!"

It slowly starts to turn into gold.

"Alas, this was my FINAL stand. It's curtains for poor Rubber-"

It then lets out a dying gasp, and as the cracks start forming across its body, it fully turns into gold. As such, it doesn't explode, leaving a glorious golden statue of itself behind.

Rubber Band is no more. But now it would always be in the spotlight. In a twisted sense, it got exactly what it desired.

   THE WHOLE PUNCH   

Suddenly, Hole Punch is above Gold Mario, perhaps having used the Rubber Band's dying moments as a distraction to try and get close without being noticed. It attempts to use the double hole-punching technique, after which, regardless of success, will land again and shoot body part circles at Gold Mario. Gold Mario's still aren't there yet, but considering his current power-up, that doesn't matter much.

Tape seems to be too shocked to make a move this turn.

   FINAL CUT   

Scissors, too, tries to take advantage of the situation, charging for Mario yet again. This time it doesn't try to fake him out.

Stapler reloads its staples, going gold once again.

Indigo, having been awake but unable to move much, now glances at Wick.

"(Good to see you survived. I was wondering already...)", he weakly says before looking back at the battle.

"For real? ... well, I hope Thor's right. That'd be two powerful threats less in this world, and two powerful allies who can help fight other powerful threats more.", Claus says.

"Keep me updated on how that goes, alright?", he asks, smiling.

It seems to work, as Galarian Articuno gets confused. It even ends up hitting itself in confusion, leaving it wide open for an attack.

Galarian Zapdos escapes for now. But with a furious Ghiaccio on its trail, who knows how long that'll last.

Galarian Moltres has a serious 'Nani!?' expression when Parasect survives, shocked to the point that it doesn't even bother trying to dodge the Leech Life.

It then destroys the Leech Seed vines on its body with a Fiery Wrath, before suddenly starting to kick up a lot of sand and rocks from the ground with powerful winds. It seems to be attempting to put up a makeshift smokescreen.

Sanji prepares to attack but... all of a sudden, a potent purple-clad demon arrives, and attempts to cut down the weakened Articuno in one mighty slash, so potent that the entire ground below ripple and erupts into a thousand block-shaped ice cubes, which themselves are cut to fine pieces!

RENGOKU: ONI GIRI!

Sanji is blown away by the unexpected shockwave!

"Sure thing, Claus. Heh, if Thor's right, maybe you and Lucas could see about talking with them sometime," Pietro replies. "Troa, at least, apparently has a soft spot for kids."

"That... actually doesn't sound like a bad idea. If they really want to redeem themselves, the boys might be able to help them down that path," Wanda says. "And if not, Ain or Deut can take care of them in an instant."

Alas, the gold form's nigh-invulnerability could only last so long. The Whole Punch ends up knocking out not a piece of Gold Mario, but the power-up itself, reverting Mario to normal.

"... well, I fear our moment of triumph may be short-lived."

It's only thanks to Mercy Invincibility that the Final Cut does not end Mario right then and there, and he's way too winded to mount a retaliatory assault.

Red

Red recalls Parasect and replaces it with Lapras. Said Lapras uses a Freeze Dry, though it will most likely be lost in the smokescreen.

"(... crud.)", Indigo mutters, trying his hardest to get up now.

"Hah! To think Hole Punch was the answer to this little issue. And now I have you right where I want you."

   FINAL CUT   

Scissors charges down towards Mario... but suddenly gets hit by a purple-spotted egg, the attack not really damaging it per se, but knocking it off balance enough that it crashes into the ground near Mario instead.

A quick glance back will show Mario that it was Indigo who threw it with what's probably the last of his stamina, seeing as his arms and legs are shaking and he's breathing heavily.

"Haven't had enough after all? Time to put a fifty feet underground, ya dirty lizard.", Tape says, sounding genuinely threatening as it starts to roll towards Indigo.

Hole Punch hops over towards Mario.

"Sorry pal, but as awesome as that was just now, it was your final dance!"

It then leaps at Mario, trying to go for a normal hole-punching attack.

Stapler, meanwhile, turns to look at Wick. It knows that it can't staple him stuck, but that doesn't mean it can't shoot staples at him instead.

It gets on its back, opening up its jaw and preparing to launch.

Claus looks somewhat intimidated by the idea.

"You want us to talk with them? Isn't that a bit risky? I mean, in case Thor's wrong about them... and it could be dangerous for G.E.M. too, they wouldn't be able to handle Katre and Troa..."

He twiddles with his fingers for a moment while smiling nervously.

"T-the premise itself doesn't sound too bad though. But maybe it'd be best to ask a kid who, uh, doesn't run as much risk and who doesn't have as many people around them who can also run a lot of risk?"

Galarian Articuno is struck by the slash, though while it gets hit by it and harshly hits the ground, it still survives the attack.

It doesn't seem to be very eager to continue fighting anymore though, suddenly blasting the ground with Freezing Glare to send the bits of ice flying up, after which it disappears, then reappears a good distance away.

From there, it frantically flies off, fleeing the battlefield.

Freeze Dry seems to be able to clear away some of the smokescreen...

Which'll reveal to Red that Galarian Moltres isn't there anymore, flying off into the horizon at this point already.

It seems the wild Galarian Moltres fled. Aren't roaming Legendaries the worst?

Red watches Moltres fly away and smiles. Now he can get back to hatching that egg.

They'd chase it but are too busy bitching at one another. Zoro, you see, is laughing, which he rarely does. He hold one hand to his belly while sheathing his swords with the other one at a time, launching them up in the air and angling his body so that they get put back in their sheaths by gravity.

Sanji approach furiously.

Haha, nice going pervert cook! You fought that big stupid bird for so long that I fell asleep! And my blades just slipped out of their sheaths towards that big bird!

Well I did all the work, algae head!

Pft, nah, my strike is what caused it to flee.

Yeah, because it'd be embarrassed to lose to a no-good cyclops like you! Even you could defeat it in the state I left it in!

As if! You looked mighty proud all set ablaze!

I was still going to beat it up even with those flames, because an even stronger fire motivated me!

Yeah as if! The thing would take pity on you, curl up and die of old age after trying, and failing to get killed by your kicks!

It would probably be more embarrassed over seeing you wave around those little sticks you call swords!

AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

They totally forget about Samaleel and Articuno.

Mario pants, hunched over and tired.

Which was all part of his maximum jebait. Cue Final Smash aura as he perfectly parries the hole-punching attempt.

"Open-a wide! HEE-YAH!" He unleashes twin gigantic spiraling fireballs at Hole Punch and Stapler!

"I'm not saying you should straight-up invite them to your base or anything," Pietro clarifies.

"Hmmm... Now that I think about it, Locke might be able to relate to them a little more," Wanda says, stroking her chin.

"Huh? O-oh no-"

Both Hole Punch and Stapler get engulfed in flames, hurling back a fair amount as well as receiving a great amount of damage.

Stapler ends up a good distance away, unable to attack from this range. Hole Punch, meanwhile, is on its back and has cracks all over its body.

"Oh man... Why'd you have to harsh my groove? We had it bumpin' in here!"

It shudders a bit.

"Let's keep it going anyway. Disco forever! Count it down!"

It then falls down flat as the cracks glow, after which he too explodes. Half of the Legion of Stationery is gone now.

Scissors wrestles itself out of the ground, actually needing a moment to spot Mario again.

"Stand! STILL!", it roars.

   STICKY DRILL   

Meanwhile, Tape does its Sticky Drill attack again, hitting Indigo with it. After the attack, Indigo spins around in place a few times before hitting the ground.

"And stay down this time!", Tape angrily says as it bounces back a bit. It doesn't notice that it's potentially withing Cappy's capture range.

   FINAL CUT   

Scissors starts charging for Mario again. Perhaps, with Tape close by enough, Mario could pull off something pretty effective...

"Y-yeah, maybe that'll also be a bit safer in general.", Claus says, immediately agreeing with the Locke notion. His stomach then growls a bit.

"Huh, stressing over Lucas made me a little hungry. I'm gonna go to the dining room to get something to eat. Wanna come too?"
