Enter The Arena As Your Avatar -- The Spinoff!

Rin actively swats Pietro's chain away, as she can't let herself be jarred out of her work in such a sudden way, but Marx pushing the hoverboard is fine.

The black hole dissipates. As Dharkon!Marx reappears, he screech-cackles,    "As a matter of fact!"   

"Shut up!"

   "What."   

"Enjoy the show, boys and girls!" Rin plays a power chord on her bass guitar. Her hard work flows into her voice, her tools, and her being.

And coincidentally appropriate music kicks in.

Calamari Inkantation

Dharkon!Marx pauses to sample the tune, leaving himself open. Rin promptly leaps off her hoverboard as she projects a ghostly white copy of herself down on ground level, the real Rin attacking him with descending kicks while ghost!Rin goes for ascending punches.

The song has no effect aside from motivation unless you all come to a consensus that a direct buff would be cooler.

Jam leap up, spins and strike with her amped kick, kicking (lol) off a major explosion if the hit connect. Dres, meanwhile, get back up, with visible anger on her face.

   "Hey now, I know you weren't talking to me, but I'm starting to feel a little attacked here."   , Marx calls out to Pietro.

He then stares at Rin when she brings in the music, similarly to his counterpart. Unlike said counterpart though, Marx is still on guard, and notices the other him's mistake.

As such he turns to look at him. His cheeks bulge and his eyes become tiny, and after a moment of nothing, he opens his mouth and sends a big laser towards Dharkon!Marx. The laser has enough knockback to send Marx back a fair distance.

Rope Snake looks relieved.

"Thanks. I'll be sticking around Duster for a while, so maybe I can help you in a fight someday."

Duster pats him on his head, the snake purring a little.

"We have to get going now. But y'know what? The moment Galeem and Dharkon are down, we should go get something to drink together. All of us can relax and unwind.", Kumatora says to Thor.

Shaking his head in response to Marx's remark, Pietro whips up a pair of Predator-style Chaos Wristblades on his arms before dashing by Dharkon!Marx numerous times, slashing at him with every pass.

"Oh, I can definitely get behind that suggestion, Kumatora!" Thor replies, grinning as he claps Kumatora on the shoulder.

"Until we meet again, I suppose," Loki says.

Dharkon!Marx is thrashed. This quickly gets him to realize that he can't just sit there and listen to Rin's music, as much of a bop as it might be. He returns fire by doing the exact same thing the other Marx just did - a giant mouth-laser - but bigger, blowing himself halfway across the planetoid from the recoil.

Ghost!Rin is vaporized, while Rin's hoverboard swoops in to catch her right before she falls into the beam. She waits in the air with her bass held over her head, preparing to smack Dharkon!Marx over the head as soon as he reappears.

   "ACK!"   

Panicked, he quickly flies up to evade the beam, not feeling like getting disintegrated or sent halfway across the world today.

"Yeah, until then.", Duster says.

"See both ya godly lugs later.", Kumatora smirks.

Fuel and Nana both wave goodbye, and then the four of them take off.

Jam is caught in the attack, though she emerges quickly enough. Her vest's gone, her shirt's sleeves have blown off, her pants have holes over them and her body has a lot of burns and scratches, but she smiles, happy with the fight. Soon, she retaliate with a large fire beam !

Dres, however, quickly moves out of the way and raises her arm, with multiple missing launchers appearing out. She smirks, and shoot the missiles at her enemy !

   "Ah, crap!"   

Pietro dives to the left just in time to avoid the oncoming laser, quickly hurling a Chaos Spear towards Dharkon!Marx upon coming back up.

After they've said their farewells, the Sons of Odin proceed to depart as well.

Dharkon!Marx returns to the battle by way of another Shadow Uppercut, beyond the reach of attack while he's in the ground, but he soon springs up.

Rin promptly gives him a good smack as soon as he rises up from underneath her. The Muse obviously loses the exchange of blows, being sent flying, but she still hit him and she considers that a win in her head.

Dharkon!Marx folds his wings around himself and does a full 360° spin. When he unfurls his wings, his eyes have become pitch-black orbs. They make snapping sounds as they detach from his face and bound along the ground toward Pietro and Marx, having weird movement properties like they're being drawn toward their targets while also bouncing, before eventually flying off into the abyss as new ones grow in their place. He launches the next pair at Dres and Jam, then reels back and blinks, returning his eyes to normal.

Rin lies there for a few seconds, watching the eye-orbs bounce over her. She props herself up on her bass to rise back to her feet.

Both Jam and Dres are able to dodge the projectiles, and Jam launch a few fireballs at the evil-er Marx, punching the air quickly to do so.

Marx skillfully flies around and between the bouncing black spheres, but looks amazed at them nonetheless. How can this Marx do so many things that he cannot?

Regardless, he still goes on the offensive. He too dives under the ground, only to come up again with a Shadow Uppercut from underneath Dharkon!Marx.

   "Oh, for-You're getting off on torturing yourself to attack us, aren't you?! Sadomasochist..."   

Pietro darts away from the eye-orbs, conjures up a Chaos Rocket Launcher, then takes a moment to line up his shot before firing it at Dharkon!Marx.

City Of Alien - Wait...

Suicide Mouse enters through a door, stretching- and then he stops.

The City Of Alien Geometries has become the Chrome Utopia, and then he's met with two short, relatively pale aliens wearing the classic Z armor, now with the Google Chrome logo on their breast.

"Raisin!"

"Lakisei!"

"You're coming..."

"With us!"

Suicide Mouse looks at the duo with mild interest before shaking his head.

SM: "No."

Suicide Mouse exits from the same door her came in, leaving Raisin and Lakisei confused...

Some Time Later, Chrome HQ

Turles steps out of an elevator, where a woman clad in the colors of Google Chrome sits in a swivel chair, talking to a T-Doll.

Wait, that's not a T-Doll.

That's the real thing.

Turles:    "Raisin and Lakisei have reported that there's a door leading to another universe. A sinister-looking mouse used it to transport to here and back."   

Chrome:    "Interesting. Send a herd of your finest Saibamen to scout the area, and have them constantly send data back."   

Turles:    "Right."   

He nods, walking back into the elevator.

Turles:    "To ensure a survivor, I'll send Cacao as well."   

The elevator closes, and he issues the order on the way down.

Intrigue, Dense Forest

Suicide Mouse's door has relocated to Intrigue, and Cacao emerges from it, followed by two Saibabrutes, large blue Saibamen with battle power almost equal to Nappa, and ten Tennemen, small, gray, elite Saibamen with battle power surpassing Gohan's max power in the Raditz fight. Or at least they would be that strong if Google Chrome hadn't upgraded them, increasing their power by several magnitudes.

Cacao:    "Lord Turles! I have entered the other world, and I believe it is suitable for the Tree Of Might!"   

"At this point," Rin remarks, "he probably is."

Dharkon!Marx is battered by more attacks. He begins rising into the air for his seed-drop attack.

"No you don't!" Rin leaps up with a final rising uppercut, clinging onto Marx before he can enter the void and repeatedly slapping him across the face with her guitar at a faster rate than can be perceived, like a rush of slashes from Alucard's Crissaegrim.

Marx grins and, gathering his power, creates a very big explosive ball, which he then kicks towards Dharkon!Marx.

   "FORE!"   

Pietro spreads his Chaos Form's wings, flies after Dharkon!Marx, and attempts to slash him with a Chaos Claymore once he's within melee range.

There's an impact spark, and Dharkon!Marx recoils in the air with a loud    "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"   , still wearing his wicked smile. Then he starts pinballing around the arena at high velocity, dark power spurting out of him like air leaking from a balloon, his wings breaking and snapping off, until he finally smacks into the ground and bounces off, landing face-first in his shrunken form of equal size to his counterpart's base form.

His foot twitches with one last, fart-like puff of purple smog.

Then everything fades to white...

Dark Realm, Mysterious Dimension

When the light fades, the fighters are standing at the precipice of where the V O I D used to be, only in the middle there is simply a big splotch of the same pinkish energy on which they stand.

"Whaaaaaat...?"

The only evidence that the boss fight even happened is the fact that Marx's spirit is right there.

"... Well this is awkward."

Dark Realm

There's an ominous rumbling. The floating platform in the center, the place where so many have set foot before on their ways to one of the three paths... is swallowed by darkness. Tendrils of energy form a ring around where it used to be and branch out, connecting the southwest, southeast, and north paths back together with the original bridges gone. The stairs of light connecting to the portal back to the Arena, however, remain where they were.

And then, that pulsing reptilian eye emerges from within the ring.

Dharkon appeared in the center!

This is something for the fighters to notice later on their way out of the Dark Realm, but by no means should you actually engage Dharkon in combat.

They both look pretty disappointed... then impressed at the sight of Dharkon. Jam steps forth towards him, even !

Marx doesn't flinch at the sound of his own beloved screech, but shuts his eyes when everything fades.

He opens them again to see the Mysterious Dimension once more. That, and the other Marx's Spirit. He turns back to normal and hops over to him.

"Looks like you got yourself in quite a pickle. And me for a while as well. Everyone thought I was you.", he says.

Jam and Dres leave, with the former waving to... everyone.

Thanos opens his eyes, and smirk, sinking in his chair and putting on the gauntlet.

Finally... we'll wait, and prepare to bring the fight to the would-be annihilator.

Reverting back to normal now that the fight had concluded, Pietro glances at Marx speaking with the spirit of his defeated counterpart. Remembering his mental reminder to tell Thanos about the blatantly treacherous clown-ball-monster, he resists the urge to punt Marx into the abyss. Hopefully, the Mad Titan would be smart enough to deal with this pest before he became another Hazama.

In the meantime, he turns his gaze to Rin.

"So... I'm guessing you're wondering what that whole fight was all about, right?"

"Well that's embarrassing, I'm sure."

K!Marx gives his counterpart a sly smirk. "I suppose what you're getting at is that I owe you for the trouble, eh?"

Rin looks at the whole scene with confusion. "We won, right? Because if you seriously take this opportunity to backstab us right here and now... I probably shouldn't finish that statement."

K!Marx whispers to D!Marx, "I don't think she's bluffing. Ahem! Let me make a case for me, myself, and I here. I'm not evil, I'm opportunistic. I - me me - sided with Dharkon because of the promise of getting some power I had once lost back, without actually knowing the details of our contract. He, uh, actually wants to basically destroy everything, and that isn't fun. So... you can trust me to help me beat him! I mean you!"

"Run that by me one more time. It sounds like you're just gonna scheme together."

"Okay, while I can't deny that that will probably happen, I have another point in my favor! Spirits grant more power than normal to fighters from the same universe - including different iterations of that universe - as themselves. So, since the other me is the only one from my 'series', so to speak, I should pair up with him to make us the most efficient combatants! Besides, I'll be getting my body back when Galeem and Dharkon die for real, anyway, so I can't keep empowering him forever."

Rin sighs. "Fine." She turns to Pietro. "What's the situation, blue boy?"

"Yes, okay! Quick, equip me before that guy punts you into the abyss."

"At one point it was.", Marx sighs.

He looks back at Rin when she threatens them, then back to K!Marx as he talks.

"Pair up with me? You sure that's a good idea?"

... is what he says out loud. But in his mind he praises the other's deviousness, silently showing this to K!Marx through a familiar glint in his eyes. With the two of them working together, they may have a shot at getting Dharkon's powers and controlling Pop Star.

He wastes no time in accepting the other Marx, allowing him to equip himself to him.

"Plot all you want, you shrunken Hazama wannabe. Because when a certain big man in a spaceship finds out that you plan on backstabbing him, he's gonna... snap. Like I said, you're not as clever as you think."

Smirking at the mental image of Thanos turning both his wrath and shit-eating grin on Marx, Pietro turns back to Rin.

"Here's the short version: two beings called Galeem and Dharkon kidnapped a lot of people and turned them into their personal foot soldiers against their will. We can save them by defeating them, but if we defeat Dharkon and Galeem, then they'll all be freed."

He extends a hand towards her, actually chuckling at her choice of nickname for him.

"I'm Pietro, by the way."

K!Marx merges into his counterpart, empowering him.

Rin silently takes in the information, leaning against a nearby rock formation until Pietro finishes. She accepts the handshake.

"So that's the story. Well, my name's Rin, I fell into this creepy place first thing and decided to investigate instead of taking the obvious way out. I got banged up a lot in that fight, so I say we get the heck outta here." She conjures her hoverboard again and rides it out of the Mysterious Dimension.

"Crap, I just realized Dharkon might be mad. Just be careful around him and don't make any sudden movements until you're out of there..."

Almost as soon as Rin's out, she notices the new attraction in the center of the Dark Realm from afar. "That ain't good. Just gonna slip past that, don't mind me..."

As Rin hovers past Dharkon's eye, it suddenly snaps to face her, emitting his usual disturbing droning noise.

"Oooookayyyyy... please don't hurt me."

Dharkon merely watches Rin make her way out of the Dark Realm, then immediately turns to face the next person to come out of the Mysterious Dimension vortex. His gaze will continue tracking the fighters until they have all left, after which he will turn his gaze up to the 'ceiling' (or lack thereof) above.
