Lucina defends Gregor from the attack. He smiles at that, if only a little, and down a Vulnerary.

Not Gregor's first brush with death. Go !

Lucina nods understandly, prepares her weapon... and dash forward. She aims to strike her target, and seems to tap into a deeper power.

After her first attack, she gets much, much faster all of a sudden, leaving purple afterimages behind her and aiming for another strike right after her first one, though she hits just as hard !

Gangrel begins a manoeuver. He grabs one half of the Hagakure blade and hold it along with the Levin sword, smiling wickedly...

   "Consider it done, Seras!"   

After climbing back to his feet, Pietro dashes straight towards Hellsing!Alucard, whips up a Chaos Power Fist in his right hand, and attempts to knock the vampire right off of the tower with a momentum-fueled uppercut.

Upon successfully transforming into a werewolf◊ for the first time since he'd purged himself of the beast's blood, a fierce roar escapes Viserys' throat as he slashes at the air with his new claws, then leaps from the Rathalos nest, touching down near the same section of forest as Awkeff.

Alucard gets his legs severed, but they're quickly starting to grow back even as Seras pushes him off. His first attempt to recover with demonic bat wings is cut short by Lucina's first attack, and then Pietro sends him flying, but it's ultimately the second part of Galeforce that seals the deal.

As he falls short of reaching the bridge, he plummets to the ground. Like what happened with Ninten, there's an explosion of light as screaming souls pour out of him, all his victims freed at once.

And the spirit of C!Alucard, who rises up to the bridge and looks around in only mild confusion, before taking a bow and making a swift exit.

Simon heads for the nearest hourglass and waits by it until everyone's finished up their business.

Awkeff gets a worried look on her face.

"Need my help now?" Reyna asks.

"Not unless he's gone completely insane. Now zip it."

Lucina falls on her knees, breathing heavily and having to plant her sword into the ground to avoid just falling over.

I... grew weaker during the year of peace... she says, as Gangrel approach, looking disappointed.

Why are you even searching for excuses ? You're just not strong. Admit it. he declares. You female Exalts get so flowery...

Gregor raises his thumb weakly.

The pain is immense... but so is my relief, hah-ow ! Gregor stand corrected ! Ow !

Seras looks down, a mixture of surprise, shock and worry on her face.

"I-it worked!? Master, are you okay!?"

The souls left him, but I'm sure the Arena will revive him.

"... I hope so.", she sighs.

Walter, meanwhile, gets back up, looking equally shocked.

"Alucard actually went down!?"

He pauses for a moment, then glances to the side.

"... well, only because of the laws of this world, I suppose. It doesn't really count.", he mutters. He then notices Gangrel antagonizing Lucina and gets back up, scowling at the Mad King.

"Hey, spindly twat.", he growls. "Nobody who finishes off Alucard should be called weak."

He raises his hand, having his wires float around him.

"Talk shit again and I'll turn you into the foulest shredded cheese in the world."

Seras immediately intervenes, getting in between Gangrel and Walter. She wants to talk to Pietro, but feels like it'd be best to make sure the situation doesn't escalate.

"Hey now, let's not fight with each other. We still need all the help we can get, right?"

Walter's stance doesn't change, making Seras a little nervous, and she turns to look at Gangrel, hoping tremendously that he won't make things worse.

Once he's certain that Hellsing!Alucard has been defeated, Pietro drops out of his Chaos Form and approaches the others, then attempts to kick Gangrel hard in the groin.

"Oh, just shut up, you badly-dressed asshole!"

Thankfully, Viserys just leaps into a different part of the forest to transform back and get dressed again. After a moment, he emerges clad in his boots and pants, though his noticeable lack of a shirt leaves his muscular physique exposed.

"Ugh, Shor's fucking bones... I'll be honest with you, Fahliil Fahdon... feeling the beast's blood coursing through my veins again takes some getting used to."

What are you-OW !!! yells Gangrel. The Mad King drop down to the ground, attempting to protect his crotch from further foot-related harm.

Lucina get back up but doesn't even laugh at Gangrel's torment, instead nodding with a grateful smile.

Thank you for your help... in both cases. I am Lucina, and it was an honor to fight alongside you all.

Seras smiles at Lucina.

"I'm Seras. It's nice to meet you."

Walter rubs what's left of his shoulder as the wires now drop, and he then puts his hand in his pocket to grab a new cigarette.

"Walter.", he says as he lights it up and takes a puff of it.

Seras then turns to Pietro.

"Hey, it's been a while, huh?", she says. "I'm glad to see you're alright."

"I think we've met once before, but just in case I'm wrong, my name's Pietro," Pietro says to Lucina, nodding.

His gaze then flickers to Seras, who he offers a smile before giving her a hug.

"Right back at you, Seras! You kicked some serious ass in that fight, by the way!"

Lucina looks a bit surprised and confused by the word "ass", but carries on, nodding confidently. Gregor laughs.

Gregor now gossip about Gangrel's... little accident, haha !

She's a little surprised by the hug, but returns it nonetheless.

"Thanks, but we all-"

Until Walter chooses to tease them by whistling at them with a cheeky grin, which makes Seras turn to him angrily.

"Walter!"

Walter attempts to shrug, only for his body to remind him of his now nearly-destroyed shoulder, causing him to wince.

"Ugh, goddamned karma.", he mutters, still slightly grinning. "Gonna have to go back to the Arena now so that my wounds can heal."

Seras looks confused.

"You only have one wound."

Walter glances at her, then rolls up the sleeve on his good arm, revealing gashes all over it. Seras definitely looks shocked.

"How did... Master only hit you once with a shot!"

"Dunno, I woke up like this about five days ago.", Walter says, not really bothered. "It was much worse when I woke up though, my face was so messed up I didn't even recognize myself anymore. Most of my wounds have healed already. Guess whoever freed me wasn't all too gentle with me."

He grins.

"The only reason I didn't stay in the Arena and came here instead is because I saw you going off in a hurry, and I figured you might need assistance."

He takes another puff from his cigarette.

"I guess I did provide that, if mostly as a distraction and target for Alucard in the end."

He turns to the window and starts walking towards it.

"See you lot later. Maybe."

Seras looks like she wants to say something, but she doesn't speak up.

Rolling his eyes at Walter's teasing, Pietro notices that Seras appeared to have something on her mind.

"If there's something you wanna say, Seras, don't let me stop you."

Lucina, Gregor and Gangrel head/crawl for the window, though they turn around to wave goodbye to their friends... well Gangrel doesn't but you get the gist.

Upon leaving, they are greeted by Laurent, who teleports back to the fort with them. Gangrel leaves, humiliated, and quickly get everyone's attention, with Gregor leaving to eagerly share the tales of his misfortune, leaving Laurent and Lucina to embrace one another.

Soon, we should reach Dracula... if I'm not mistaken, he is an important piece to Dharkon's war effort, so to speak.

His defeat will bring us one step closer to Dharkon, then. And we shall beat back whoever dares to stand in our path for him.

Of course... and then, we will get back to fighting the Einherjars. says Laurent, a little dejected.

... I know that it is quite the challenge. I'm especially worried about that Morgan, for an instance. admits Lucina. Our future enemy may not be as strong as Dharkon, but it shall still be a fight to remember.

Luckily for us, it seems that time progress at a slower scale in here. When we're done, we will be able to reach Ylisse easily.

Lucina ?

My bad. I was just thinking about... a life of peace, after this.

You find it hard to abandon your weapon, correct ?

... Yes.

Understandable. We are... homeless, in a way. Condemned to drift across Ylisse until we reach a gate that may lead us to yet another world. By fighting here, we are contributing to a cause.

And, to be honest, I find it hard to envision a life without fighting. I wish, more than anything, for the chance to finally let go my sword and live with you... but the call of adventure remains stronger than I'd like to admit.

That is understandable. I, too, find it difficult to settle down. Of course, it would be in our interest to perhaps abandon those ideals before they consume us.

Indeed, though I fear that I may not be able to let go of them. I refuse to stand-by while injustice strikes.

Of course... though, I must admit that your sense of justice, amongst many other traits, is the reason why I find myself attracted to you.

Lucina smiles. In the background, Gangrel look miserable, effectively being laughed/scoffed at by the royal men of Nohr and Hoshido.

Seras turns to Pietro.

"O-oh, no, it's just-"

She turns back to Walter just in time to see him hop through the window and take off. She sighs as she waves Lucina's group goodbye as well.

"Despite everything that's happened, I wanted to thank Walter for his help. But I don't know if he'd have appreciated it or not, so I hesitated."

She sighs once more as she picks up her discarded cannons, strapping them onto her back again.

"Anyhow... let's go back to the Arena for a little bit. We should probably heal up a little, and we can catch up on things."

She then starts walking out of the tower.

"If he was able to crack that little joke earlier, I think it's pretty safe to say he would've appreciated a 'thank you'," Pietro assures Seras, following her out of the tower.

Simon flips the hourglass, and Dracula's Castle is reset.

All ready for the boss fight... whenever that is.

Brain salutes, standing before Hit.

He doesn't do much else. He doesn't even blink.

Bardock proceeds to have a sudden psychic stroke.

All he gets is static.

Rbade wants to pummel Taako. He looks at Rey, his expression undecipherable.

"..."

He should probably take a break from warfare.

Just a reminder that the Lup/Taako fight is in the aftermath/end state, Rbade, in case you wanted to do anything or wanted to claim a spirit.

Oblivia

   "'Sloth kills everything, eventually', or so I've heard some of my associates say. I suppose it was true, in this case. I shall see you when you arrive, then. Hopefully, your travels remain relatively uneventful."   

He gave a testing swing of the blade in his off-hand. The balance felt right — maybe a bit forward of what he would have normally liked, but it worked for the curvature of this blade and its twin. A satisfying whooosh might be faintly heard over the sending stone.

   "Wait, and you can't? I can sort of understand it myself."   

Redacted said this to the Warlock, giving the entire group a confused look. This entire situation was pretty strange.

Klug smirks as he continues his journey.

Arrival via time-skip

"Uneventful, but also boring," Klug remarks as he comes up on Iraaxos' position.

"Got yourself a winner there. I'd know, he helped me out once."

"Stop." Awkeff steps forward to meet Viserys, her face ever so slightly heated. "Are you okay now, Bron Fahdon?"

IDK if you remember, IM, but Hunter!Reyna was the "point man" in the Xeno'jiiva boss fight, whose mini-plot was also the introduction to the location where Awkeff would later make her first appearance.

-Meanwhile in Primordia, near Biahno Lake.

"I don't see those guys here. Looks like we're save." Flint says, talking to a phone.

"Uh-huh. Okay, I'll keep checking places."

Flint then closes his phone and puts it inside his pocket.

Sylvalum, Forest Hill, Viserys and Awkeff's Camp

Viserys offers Awkeff a reassuring grin.

"Heh, nothing that a quick visit to Ysgramor's tomb couldn't fix, Awkeff."

"Glad to know," Awkeff says with a smile. "You, uh... you should probably get dressed, though."

Reyna contemplates offering a change of fresh clothing, but ultimately decides against it because they probably have some.

"Tired of the view already? I thought you enjoyed the sight of winter-hardened, battle-scarred Nordic men."

Chuckling to himself, Viserys goes to retrieve a tunic before putting it on.

"Then again, we do have an... unexpected guest in our camp today."

"Exactly my point," Awkeff answers. "We need to look presentable for company."

Reyna stands up and declares, "As someone whose evasion skills consist of repeatedly faceplanting into dirt, grass, wood, hot sand, rotting flesh, crystals, or volcanic rock until the danger passes, I'm not bothered by looking at a mess."

"There is an acute difference between appearance and smell. You don't even smell that bad."

"Well, I suppose you're right, but it also means I'm good at cleaning up."

Awkeff Facepalms. "If only you could be as good at holding your tongue..."
