Upon arriving and listening to Thanos' speech via the hologram, Viserys' gaze flickers to the stairway leading to Galeem.

"So, it's finally time to bring the fight to Galeem... It almost feels like my journey to Sovengarde to vanquish Alduin all over again."

Floating City

After greeting Nagato with a quick nod, Thor looks to the newly-arrived Stark, actually grinning at his fellow Avenger's antics.

"It's great to see you again, too, Stark. Come, we have a mad deity in need of vanquishing!"

After slamming Mjolnir against the ground to replace his casual attire with his Asgardian armor, the god of thunder proceeds up the stairs after Hit, with Pietro not too far behind.

"Look at that, my hunch about this spirit was right on the money... Oh, you're so freaking screwed now, Galeem."

While it still felt extremely weird to be bonded with the spirit of her archenemy, Wanda nonetheless greatly appreciated the benefits Mara had to offer from said bond.

"As much as I hate to say this, Mara... we do admittedly make a good team whenever the situation calls for it. So, exactly what kind of reinforcements do you speak of?"

Loki, meanwhile, looks around at those gathered.

"My, what a varied assortment we have here today... Galeem clearly knows not what forces he trifles with."

Before long, the sound of thundering hooves is heard as the once-King of Canterlot answers the call of Thanos' beacon to avenge his fallen comrades of the Counterassassin Association.

Almost at the same time, a blond woman in a black suit and red tie, who should be familiar to those who have fought Void Termina, arrives in a blur of shadows, following an unusually generous (even by Mystia's standards) "donation" to the First Gensokyan Church of the Savior.

"They seem to be splitting in two groups. One of them is staying behind, probably in case some of those puppet fighters come to attack."

"If that happens, they might be amongst them. We should stay here too, and fight if need be."

Marx turns to see the approaching Spirit. Hopping in glee, he wastes no time in equipping it to himself.

This'll give me the boost I need until I can make my move against Galeem., he thinks to himself. I'll stay behind for the time being, but watch the fight from afar. Then, when Galeem is weakened, I'll strike!

"Look, in all good conscience I can't let you fight with us right now. You're obviously not feeling well."

"I haven't been ever since I was saved, but I'm not helpless."

The Masked Man turns to Psycho!Ness.

"My scanners read it as a PSI fever, but different from an usual one. Either you're going to learn something incredibly powerful, or something is wrong with your PSI right now. Nevertheless, you'll only weigh us down. Stay."

Psycho!Ness turns to him.

"Claus, I-"

"I'm the Commander. I'm not Claus. Stay."

"..."

He sighs.

"... if I notice that any of you need help, I'm coming over there."

Picky sighs in relief, then nods.

"Alright."

   "Enough blabbing. Commander, you're going, so get moving."   , Porky says.

"Yes, Master Porky.", the Masked Man says, heading towards the staircase. Picky stays behind, just in case.

Mara chuckles.

   "My eternal servants. Warriors who once dared face me in single combat, proclaiming that they could best me. There's been many people who've done this, but some of them stood out, and those who did, I kept. Through necromancy, their bodies became my undead soldiers."   

She then snickers.

   "Oh, before you complain about how horrific that is, don't you worry, their souls have long since passed. It's only their bodies, with their powers of course."   

She chants some sort of spell in a language that Wanda won't be able to make sense of, and five portals open up around her. Out◊ of◊ which◊ climb◊ five skeletal warriors◊.

   'What do you think, Wanda? They're much less frail than they look. Maybe you or one of your friends will join them someday... ah, I'm just joking. I'd probably have had Sarah join, had I gotten the chance to finish her off. But that's besides the point. We'll point them to our enemy, and they'll go forth to attack.   

Odin nods.

"Yes, I think that'll work."

Laslow nods.

"It'd be an honor."

Selena looks doubtful.

"You already have that ball spirit though, don't you? You'd have to choose..."

She then notices Noire waving, and a hint of a smile appears on her face.

"Y'know... you should use the ball. I think I have a solution."

She approaches Noire.

"Noire, how about you equip me? It should strengthen your arrows, if I'm understanding this right at least."

Pride turns to Prime and thinks it over, then approaches.

   "I have no idea if you have cutting attacks or not, but based on what I know about my whole ordeal I should still give you some sort of buff. And you're a much better choice than some human. So you can take me with you."   

Bismark turns to the Dogi.

"Dogs? ... They look tame enough... y-yeah, that could work."

He approaches them.

"H-hello. Would you like to merge with me?"

Botar directs Tuyet to the second group.

"Remember. You'll behave and obey."

"Hmph. An empress deserves better treatment."

"Perhaps the empress would be better off dead."

"..."

She sighs, nods, then goes over to join the second group, while Botar heads over to the staircase.

Topaz approaches Viserys, making sure that the Great Light and Des don't spot her.

"Excuse me, do you already have a Spirit? If not, you could equip me if you want."

The Great Light and Des start talking to one another.

"Which group would we be better suited for?"

"You'd be better for the second, I don't know about myself though..."

She walks over to the Smash Ball Spirit and picks it up.

"Regardless, I should at least equip something."

Very well, let us join force. says Prime, as he and Brawl accepts the spirits. He, Windblade, Ironhide and some autobots then begins to climb up the stairs, though they only go after everyone else, closing the march in a way. The remainder of the army waves them over and look at everyone else.

So, killing time now. they say, sitting down with enough strength to kickstart a minor quake. They then begins to play a cybertronian game of some sort, seemingly not mingling with the organics or the rest.

W-well, of course ! says Noire, accepting the spirits with her two friends. The Sheperds then depart as well, leaving the rest behind as they get ready to fight as well.

Thor, holding unto the ball, Baldur, Goku and Vegeta (who joined) march up the stairs, forming a march of gods. Stark hovers above them, walking along with Thor and Loki.

Ya know, I never thought I'd fight with you again, Pietro. he says. Sorry about everything beforehand, Ultron, the... missile, erm... look, I'm doing it because we''re all about to die, but sorry.

The sisters set off, and the remaining big sisters proceeds to kill the time by engaging in some kind of high-stake patty cakes, moving their arms at unseeable speed and colliding their palms together.

The Black Order and Chitauri fodders accompany the fighters as Thanos hangs back, charging up the Cosmic Gauntlet.

I'll deliver a crippling blow to Galeem from afar. It shall accompany the second wave's strike. Go forth, warriors !

"Your assistance will not be required," Hit says to Thanos. He continues to glide up the steps, Keeby running after him.

Floating Islands

"Yeah," Awkeff says. "Only difference is, there's less dragon-riding and magical gateways, and more walking." She begins to jog up the stairs at a brisk pace.

As the fighters and unclaimed spirits advance up the steps towards Galeem, a humanoid figure becomes visible atop the distant summit.

Hit raises an eyebrow. "Did someone beat us to Galeem...?"

Then, the stairs converge into one. People from all the different starting points have met up with each other now. There's still a long way to go...

Awkeff sizes up the rest of the team. She looks at Viserys when Topaz approaches them.

Zero flew through the sky, having used the Metamorphosis Black Box to create a pair of wings, his pilot and the lad's friends were all seated inside the mech...don't ask how they all fit in there. They just did.

"An actual Super Robot! This is so many levels of cool!!" Shyna exclaimed as she examined every bit of internal circuitry. The Sisters only giggled as they watched.

Miles was lost in thought though, something even Zero took notice of, What troubles you, Miles?

"Hmm?" The young man was brought out of his thoughts and back to reality, "Nothing, just...be honest with me...do you still have access to ALL the Black Boxes?"

Zero was caught a little off-guard by the question but he gave the impression of a nod, I do...why do you ask?

Miles took in a deep breath, "...What will happen when I use the 7th Black Box? Will you be able to stop yourself from...well..."

The Robobot was silent for some time, wondering how best to answer, before speaking, '''I am a Mazin. It is in my nature to seek ultimate power...I cannot help it, just as you cannot help being who you are. All I can say is that my power is shaped by your will..."

"To be either God or Devil..." Miles recited, "...What if I decide I don't want to be either?"

He swore for a moment he felt Z/Zero give a small smirk, ...Then that creates possibilities of its own. Just remember...you have a destiny to fulfill...and if you let fear of what you might become consume you, you will never be able to seize and command it, and the ones you love will pay the price...

Miles went quiet after this as did Zero.

However, Nebula would look out and see...a staircase stretching into space with all their friends on it, "Uh...we should probably land down there..." They all did as instructed.

Once he and Awkeff have joined up with the others, Viserys fixes Topaz with an odd look, her appearance bringing a Daedra to mind. That said, she certainly didn't seem malevolent.

"I... already have a spirit of my own. Perhaps my friend Awkeff might be willing to accept your offer, though."

Pietro flashes a bemused smile at Iron Man.

"Long time, no see, Stark! Don't worry, Wanda and I forgave you for all of that business a long time ago."

Thor, meanwhile, glances at the figure standing atop the distant summit.

"Who the Hel...?"

"...Why am I not surprised that you have such a bizarre sense of humor, Mara? Regardless, I hope these undead minions truly are as effective as you say."

Wanda takes a seat upon the ground, then begins meditating.

Loki, on the other hand, opts to kill time by reading a book.

"Ah, I see... please allow me to bond with you then.", Topaz says to Awkeff, allowing her to equip her if she so pleases.

With all the Spirits equipped, Botar, Bismark and the Masked Man start walking up the stairs. Mara's servants do so too, slowly following the others.

   "Don't worry, I wouldn't bother summoning them if they were merely dead weight."   , Mara assures.

She then seems to pause.

   "... you're not going to fight Galeem?"   , she asks.

Lastly, Des decides to join the first group, and starts floating upwards.

Once the group has left for Galeem, the Deliderp appears at the edge of the city, looking exhausted, and just falls on the ground, out cold.

Meanwhile, the humanoid figure remains standing, quiet, unmoving, as if waiting for them...

It could be a final guardian. theorize Lucina. Or perhaps someone who's just looking for allies ? I hope that this will be the latter. A fight would weaken the first wave of attack.

We should just shoot them from a distance, right ? Before they can start fighting ? says Noire, seemingly emboldened.

No, our position's worse since we lack cover and we can end up blown out of the sky. says Samsara; as they arrive.

Prime and Ironhide walk towards the figure and Windblade stands behind them. Prime raises his arms, pull out a claymore the size of a two-story mansion and put it in front of him, with its tip nearly hitting the ground.

Unknown warrior. If you intend to slay Galeem, we are here to assist. he says.

Ironhide looks casual but subtly hold up a massive gun.

I mean, even if you want to assist Galeem, it's one against... many. Never have been good at counting.

Iron Man nods while the gods look at the figure.

A WENCH STANDS ON GUARD !

Pretty sad last line of defense.

You guys are pretty hostile ! I mean, he could just be waiting for us to help !

Hope not. I need a warm-up. assures Vegeta.

The sisters approach, looking neutral.

Man I wish this guy's an enemy.

"Something tells me he isn't waiting to help us," Rumia warns. "I'm getting a strange impression. Even from here, something feels... off... about this."

"In what way?" Sombra replies.

"It's hard to describe. It looks human, but it doesn't feel human... or youkai... or anything. A blank... hollow thing."

"Sure." Awkeff allows herself to receive Topaz's spirit.

They keep stepping up past the clouds, into the blackness of the outer atmosphere, as the humanoid slowly becomes more visible.

Then, before anyone can determine his exact appearance, the stairs vanish beneath them.

Whether they can fly or not, they fall now. They fall not back into the lower atmosphere, to the cold hard ground below, but down into the black void, into a trippy environment one might see at the final battle of a JRPG or a Kirby game. They land on a giant circular version of a famous stone-and-metal platform coursing with some kind of power that runs through it.◊

Hit lands feet-first, hitting the ground with one fist on landing. "It was a trap! We're in a pocket dimension; no matter how high back up we fly, we're just traveling further into the void! We have to find another way out of here."

Keeby just drops like a rock and faceplants into the platform.

Awkeff stumbles as she instinctively tries to find purchase where there is nothing left to touch before plummeting into the void. She slows her descent with her temporary wings, managing to land on her hands and do an out-of-air combat roll onto her feet.

"That sounds like a chore, but maybe Viserys and I could whip up a Shout for it... maybe," Awkeff says with uncertainty.

Everyone falls but manages to catch themselves, fly in mid air, stick an heroic landing by virtue of toughness or, in Baldur's case, just goes splat and reform himself. Some, like the sheperds, get saved by Windblade, who grab them in mid air and put them down.

We were right not go all at once. But now, to escape this trap. says Samsara.

Maybe I could whip up enough of a power output to form a portal for you guys ? offers Goku. Thor grins and hold his hammer up, until Stark raises his hands.

Huh, guys, the platform ain't big enough. A shouty show of power could blow us all into the void.

This looks like an arena. Perhaps the humanoid is hoping to fight us here ? theorizes Prime.

Yeah, seems too... convenient to just find it there. I'm of the subject that we should prepare for a fight. declares Ironhide.

Right. Let us be ready while searching for a plan of escape. agrees Lucina.

Bunch of useless weaklings. says Vegeta. Can't even power up your way out of a dimension !

Rumia, being capable of traveling through the shadow realm, is able to navigate her way through the void easily and lands on her feet on the platform. Shadow hands surge out of the darkness to catch Sombra and anyone else having difficulties to place them gently on the platform.

"So we're trapped," Sombra says.

"From the shape of this place, if I were one for betting, I would have been willing to wager that this is some sort of arena," Rumia says. "Someone, or something will be confronting us, and soon."

Cue the group plummeting to the legendary Final Destination of Smash Bros fame. While Thor manages to land on his feet, Pietro and Viserys need to be caught and placed upon the platform by Rumia's shadow hands.

"Unless we can invent a Shout capable of tearing a hole in reality, Fahliil Fahdon... I fear our only option might be to fight our way out."

"How about you bitch us out after we've escaped this place, Napoleon?" Pietro offers Vegeta, rolling his eyes at the Saiyan prince's complaining. "Just a thought."

"Remain on your guard, everyone! Now that we're right where Galeem wants us, he's bound to begin executing the next phase of his plan!"

"I, or should I say we, are part of the second wave. When Thanos gives the signal, we'll move in to engage Dharkon, should he join the battle. If not him, than whatever Galeem might conjure to tip the scales in his favor. So you'll have your fill of violence one way or another." Wanda explains.

"In the meantime, I suppose we could... talk."

Floating City: Past

Defense, Bowser, and Asura prepare to climb when Vegeta-EX goes flying up the staircase, Bowser and Asura going in after him.

Defense: "Goddammit!"

Bonnie and Segata run up to Defense, and they run up the staircase as well; However, they are shoehorned into the second wave when everyone falls in, Vegeta, Bowser, and Asura included.

FD: Present

The trio fall in, landing as everyone else does, when a male human comes in behind them. It's not the same humanoid as before; this one has long, spiky red hair and a long, black cloak.

???: "About time more people showed up. I was getting bored wandering aimlessly."

Vegeta turns around and prepares a Big Bang Attack, but the man throws up his hands in pseudo-surrender.

???: "Whoa, I'm on your side. I woke up here after that thing wiped us all out with the beams; I was lucky. The name's Lea; Got it memorized?"

He taps his head.

Bowser turns his head to Lea.

Bowser: "We just met you, Lea, so I don't think we do."

Lea just gives a disappointed look.

Observation Deck

X gets beaned with the knee and sword swing, recovering in midair and teleporting behind with a dropkick.

Suicide Mouse decides not to pursue, firing multiple Dark shots at Narktus.

Pinkamena rushes Narktus, swinging a truly massive knife at his abdomen.

   "Good. Though as long as those two die by the end of all this, I'll be satisfied."   

A slight pause.

   "Talk? The two of us? About what?"   , she asks, sounding genuinely curious.

Botar, Bismark, the Masked Man, Des and Mara's servants fall down as well. The former three look around, while the fourth ponders.

"And here we'd started to wonder if Porky was lying after all, since the barrier disappeared after the third guardian. It may be a good thing we didn't meet him again until now.", she mutters.

Galeem's Domain

The Batter stands at the apex of the now-vanished steps. His Add-Ons (and Galeem's wings) materialize in a formation behind him.

Then he fearlessly jumps into the void below.

Final Destination

The Batter lands feet-first on the platform, his Add-Ons flying down right behind him.

He holds out his bat as Galeem's boon wraps around it, and only mutters three simple words that, together, make his intentions perfectly clear.

   "Purification in progress."

Observation Deck

Narktus stops X's kick with one palm. He uses his other arm to shield himself from the dark bolts before getting floored by Pinkamena's knife.

He fires a barrage of Ki blasts from both hands at everyone on the deck.

Targa slips into the shadows, trying to sneak around Narktus without being seen.

Hit immediately takes a counter stance, Time-Skip 'cracks' forming in the air around him.

"Oh crap." Awkeff holds up both her hands and starts hurling Ice Spike after Ice Spike at the Batter.

Keeby starts off with MIRROR, for all the good that's sure to do him. He conjures a shimmering rainbow Shield around himself that will automatically deflect incoming projectiles.

Ironhide blast away, deploying a ton of firepower and advancing forward. He's slow, but his Arceus-boosted artillery is considerable and he's enormous. Prime himself walk backward, hiding some of the Sheperds behind him as Laurent blasts away at the Batter with Thoron.

Windblade flies up and uses energo blaster while both Goku and Vegeta flies up and uses base, uncharged Kamehameha and Galick Gun.

"What in Tartarus is this man?" Sombra exclaims as his horn begins glowing, creating golden shields around all the fighters present. Although, with the sheer number of fighters present, his power is spread pretty thin and will only moderately reduce damage.

"That's the thing I felt while on the stairs! Make no mistake! This is no mere man! It's... it's..." Rumia finds herself at a loss for words, struggling against the feeling of holy terror wafting off the pale figure in crashing waves. She produces her enormous black scimitar and slashes the air, sending a wave of screaming darkness in an attempt to cleave the Batter in twain.

Vegeta flies up next to... himself, firing an uncharged Galick Gun.

Lea summons his chakrams, tossing them at the Batter; no matter if they hit or not, they'll come back to him.

Bowser spews fire at Batter.

Asura fires small energy shots at Batter. Tons of them.

The three of them block, X noticing Targa.

When the Batter arrives, Viserys immediately springs into action. With a Shout of "Wuld... Nah Kest!", he dashes towards the Batter with Whirlwind Sprint and attempts to slash him with his Blades sword.

"Galeem sent... a baseball player to deal with us? Careful, everyone, he might've brought the umpire along for backup!"

Pietro dashes at the Batter in a zig-zag pattern to try disorienting him, then attempts to deliver a momentum-fueled thrust kick to the chest.

Thor simply hurls Mjolnir straight towards the Batter's stomach. Regardless of whether or not the hammer finds its mark, it returns to the god of thunder's hand afterwards.

"Well, for starters, there's something I've been wondering about you for the longest time now: why do you do what you do, Mara? Were you simply born a monstrous demon who kills and tortures because she can, or perhaps corrupted and twisted into one by some dark force?"

There's some silence for a good bit, making it unclear whether Mara is surprised, thinking things over, or had decided to start ignoring Wanda.

Then she laughs, and it sounds surprisingly lighthearted.

   "Neither of those guesses are correct."   , she says.    "I wasn't born evil, but I did choose to walk this path of my own volition. As to why..."   

She takes a little longer on that, perhaps thinking on how she'll word what she's about to say.

   "My decision was not based on cruelty, evil, or malice towards others of any kind. I simply believed it to be the best course of action going by the circumstances."   

"T-The man with the bat!?", Bismark proclaims in shock. "B-but he... he saved us from the Specters. Why is he an enemy!?"

He gets no answer to that. The Add-On Epsilon moves first, doing some sort of dramatic chain of dances, which heighten the defenses of the Batter and all three Add-Ons.

The Batter starts to dodge with impressive agility, jumping around the Ice Spikes and Ironhide's artillery fire.

As for Goku's, the two Vegetas', Lea's and Windblade's attacks, he bats them right back at them with little difficulty. Thoron does manage to strike him, but it does little more than make him stagger.

   "What I am is a saviour. A purifier."   , he says after Sombra and Sumia speak.    "And this deity, this holy puppeteer, shares that goal."   

Botar then suddenly teleports behind the Batter, going for a stab with his sword, but the Add-On Alpha suddenly bashes into him, moving around him like a bracket, then fleeing from Botar, who starts to blink, then covers his eyes.

"Damnit! That thing somehow blinded me!"

   "Your power is worthless if you cannot see where you will end up."   , the Batter says, looking like he's about to attack the defenseless Botar, but luckily, the other incoming attacks keep him occupied.

He once again bats away, this time at Asura's blasts, but has to yield to Bowser's fire, getting engulfed in it, and ends up getting kicked back a little by Pietro.

The Add-On Omega then joins in and starts blurring across the battlefield. If he manages to hit anyone, they will recieve... little to no damage at all.

However, their CP (or MP, PP, or whatever their special-based attacks are fueled by) will greatly decrease.

Regardless of success, Omega then intercepts Viserys's attack, getting slashed in the Batter's stead.

Epsilon then intercepts Mjolnir, and gets sent flying to the other side of the battlefield from the impact. It still starts to float again relatively fast. The buffs given by Galeem and then Epsilon are proving to be powerful.

When Alpha moves out again to inflict status on someone, the Masked Man starts shooting at it to keep it at a distance. The Skeleton Archer loads up a glowing arrow into its bow, then fires at Alpha as well. It misses though, but a string of small explosions then happens on the path where the arrow had traversed, damaging Alpha as it was still nearby.

The Skeleton Mage starts to chant something in a strange language.

The Skeleton Axe-User, Swordsman and Lancer start to approach the Batter, who'd regained his bearings worryingly fast. The Batter, meanwhile, throws what looks to be some baseballs up into the air, then bats them at all enemies in front of him (everyone except Botar).

Despite the attacks being... baseballs... if they hit, they'll actually do major damage.

The Masked Man, despite how tough he is, actually staggers back upon being hit, and the Skeletons fall into pieces, though start to put themselves together again.

Bismark, who hadn't gotten a chance to attack yet, gets hit in the stomach and falls onto the ground. Clutching his stomach, he begins to breathe more quickly and heavily, smoke starting to escape from him. He glances down at said smoke though, and seems... strangely unconcerned.

"It's... it's working...", he thinks to himself.

Des bats the baseball away with her scythe and isn't doing anything to help yet, seemingly just looking the Batter over.

Narktus notices what X notices and whips around to face Targa, only to be pushed into proximity of the Old Guard by a Hand of Hatred.

The baseball triggers Hit's counter. He appears to be knocked back, only to suddenly vanish, then reappear right in front of the Batter and throw a jab at his face.

Awkeff lowers her arms and folds them over herself to defend, stumbling away.

Keeby's Shield absorbs the baseball and sends the force back as a crystalline star projectile.

Goku deflects the attack and so does Vegeta, along with Windblade. Ironhide, meanwhile, is relatively unconcerned about the going on, and spread his gunfire, in a way that intentionally will not hit Batter but will restrain his field of movement. The baseballs are utterly pulverized before they reach him and he moves back to avoid the energon-draining attack, firing at the lock-ons.

Baldur then dash in and attempts to hit the Batter in the face, while Goku and Vegeta also fly down and attempts to hit the Batter. However, they do not fight together, they just happen to be standing right next to one another as they throw punches and kicks.

Samsara and Lucina join the fight, dancing between the bullets and blasts as they attempts to slash at the Batter, having trouble coordinating with the three brawlers but still working well together. Xander, Laurent and Noire blast away with Siegfried, Thoron and powerful arrows while Optimus shields them, using his build and durability to tank the baseballs and slicing some in half with his sword.

Thor, in the end, comes right through, raising his hammer high in the air and bringing it down at the Batter, hitting with the power to shakes the entire Void.
