Enter The Arena As Your Avatar -- The Spinoff!

Vegito ducks under one of the energy spheres, only to dodge right into the second. The rest of the attack goes through and Vegito is sent flying by the final sphere.

He hits the ground and tumbles before eventually coming to a stop.

"Phew! This is a real workout!"

Vegito gets back up and begins to condense energy into one of his hands.

Gogeta seems to have a vague understanding of what might be coming next.

He raises his guard.

Saikyo Reborn

Dan!Akuma gets hit, hurt pretty badly. He gets up and prepares to say something, only for a raging Asura to collide into him and send him flying back, knocking him out.

However, once he realizes the familiar face of Ryu, Asura calms down a tad. He's still mad, but not mad enough to punch an ally.

Asura: "Mithra... Have you seen her?"

Say it with me now... Galeem's dead.

Vague Primordia

Revenge whacks the back of his neck, as if to kill an insect.

Revenge: "Huh. I feel like something important's happening."

A sword-like blast comes barreling towards Gogeta as Vegito fires the Spirit Sword.

He tries not to stab through Gogeta's head or any vital organs.

Ryu simply folds his arms and harrumphs in response to Asura's entrance. "I have not seen your daughter. If anyone has her, it's Galeem."

Yeah Galeem's fucked.

Vague Primordia

Beerus' ears twitch and he turns his head, still in his sunlounge, towards Revenge.

Gogeta jumps back, getting impaled through the palm of one hand.

"Uh oh..."

Shifting rainbow fire starts to surround the battlefield.

Don't worry, this won't mean anything until the battle's over.

Asura: "Galeem... Please explain. All I know is that Mithra and... you were taken by these beams of light. I don't know what's going on..."

Revenge slaps the back of his neck again, this time slightly harder.

Revenge: "And now I feel like someone's watching me."

Vegito deactivates the Spirit Sword and rushes towards Gogeta. As he runs he fires a series of energy blasts before using Rapid Movement to appear behind Gogeta.

He then attempts to elbow Gogeta in the back of the head.

"Galeem is the source of the light. He is the lord of light and order, and hellbent on erasing all that lives to create his vision of a utopia. And his beams of light turn people into puppets and spirits alike to do his bidding."

"That's because you are being watched, idiot!" Beerus yells without getting up. "Now come over here! The fight's just about over."

Gogeta gets tossed around like a ragdoll, tumbling into a hill, scattering pollen everywhere. The fight is looking pretty one-sided all of a sudden...

He holds up his bleeding hand and clenches it into a fist as divine Ki heals the wound.

The rainbow fire begins to intensify.

Gogeta flies at Vegito and throws two quick punches, followed by the same double knee smash, but ending it with a swift roundhouse instead of a backflip kick.

Saikyo Reborn Aftermath

Asura: "Ah, I hate those "light and order" types! And if he has my daughter... Then there's nothing stopping me from pounding him and everyone working for him except Mithra into dust!"

Vague Primordia

Revenge (Thoughts): Holy fuck... Of all of the people I could run into in this place...

Revenge: "Huh? A fight?"

Revenge goes over to Beerus and stands, watching, arms folded.

Revenge: "Seems pretty intense."

He smirks. He seems to be following it pretty well.

Vegito reels back after being hit by the combo. He starts to breathe heavily.

"I think I can pull out a win if I can just muster up enough energy..."

He begins to charge energy as a faint red color appears on the edge of his aura. The color grows more and more visible as Vegito puts all his remaining energy into this gambit.

   "KAIOKEN!"   

The Saiyan rushes forward with greater speed than he had previously shown. He leaps over Gogeta, lands behind him and turns to face him. He then fires off a quick, powered-up Final Kamehameha.

   "TAKE THIS! FINAL KAMEHAMEHA!"   

"I'm glad to hear we have such a powerful ally."

Since Dan's spirit apparently hasn't yet left Akuma's body, he walks over and gives him a swift kick.

"Oh? Seems the end has come. What a shame, I had such high hopes for Gogeta."

The rainbow fire jumps up, dancing vibrantly and violently in response to the Kaioken.

Gogeta gets engulfed in the Final Kamehameha and screams in Goku and Vegeta's unified voices.

When it passes through, he is lying on the ground, seemingly defeated. His fingers grip the ground and curl inward, carving into the dirt.

Then he gets up onto his knees and cups his hands together.

The rainbow fire is now a towering inferno of energy, visible from the whole of the Arena.

"K-k-k-kaaaaaameeeeee....haaaaaaaameeeeee....    HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"   

With the last of his strength, Gogeta returns fire with a Transcendent God Kamehameha. Regardless of the result, he collapses on his face and reverts to base form immediately after.

After the kick, Dan's Spirit finally left, complete with-

"pleasegetmeawayfromthatmaniacIdontwannadiiiiiieeeeeeeee..."

Asura: "Awesome. Where do we start?"

Vague Primordia

Revenge: "I wouldn't count out Gogeta quite yet. Goku and Vegeta are both resilient, no matter how they fuse."

He seems to know quite a lot about these folk, despite not quite looking like he's from the same universe.

Vegito breathes a sigh of relief as he powers down back to Super Saiyan Blue, only for Gogeta to fire his Transcendent God Kamehameha.

The Saiyan lets loose a scream as he is enveloped by the blast. As the blast dies down, Vegito, now back to base form, collapses face first into the ground.

"Galeem has an impenetrable barrier and a number of bosses serving him. The bosses must be defeated to bring down the barrier, but an arbitrary number of puppets must be defeated before the bosses will appear."

"Additionally, you may be interested in the idea of equipping a spirit. If Mithra is a spirit, freeing her will allow her to lend you her power in battle."

Beerus blinks for a few seconds. "... Wait, so who won?"

The Grand Minister reappears, and with a snap of his fingers, teleports himself, Beerus, and Revenge to Sylvalum.

"Whoa!" Beerus falls on his rear.

The Grand Minister creates a green sphere, through which an instant replay of the final moments of the battle is displayed. "Observing it frame by frame..."

Gogeta hits the ground less than a second before Vegito.

"Vegito wins. Well now. Of course, the true purpose of this battle was not to decide who would win, was it?"

Beerus immediately gets down in a praying position.

A floating audience stand descends from the sky, with way too many separate incarnations of Zen'o sitting in it.

"Great Omni-kings, what did you think of this battle?"

In unison, the Zen'os lift up scorecards, all with numbers ranging from 9 to 10 on them.

"It would seem this was a rousing success."

The Grand Minister snaps his fingers, healing Gogeta and Vegito and also creating portals in front of them, as the Zen'o audience rises back out of view. "You may return to your own worlds now. Don't hesitate to reach out if you would ever like a rematch."

The rainbow fire begins to contort into odd, human-like shapes. The Grand Minister looks up at it and then back down at the fusions, not seeming concerned. "It seems the flames of your battle will live on within this world, too."

Gogeta slowly rises up to his feet. He looks back at Vegito and gives him a smile and a thumbs-up, before jumping into his portal, which closes behind him.

Asura: "Huh. Boosting my power even further... It can't hurt. Especially since I'll know Mithra is safe."

That's when Dan realized he hadn't flown up or something, and that he had esploded in a burst of light, just being... released.

Dan: "Oh, I'm still here!"

Akuma also got up, albeit slowly.

Akuma: "..."

Akuma: "What happened..."

Sylvalum

Revenge actually doesn't pratfall, although he does lose a hold of his balance for a second.

When the Zen'os descend, Revenge quickly kneels, although more in reverence than prayer. He knows not only what a Zen'o is, but also that that's way too many of them.

Vegito returns the thumbs-up and jumps into his respective portal.

"You fell victim to Galeem's attack and became a puppet. You've been saved. You're welcome."

Ryu smirks. "Seeing your body with Dan Hibiki's mannerisms was more than a little creepy."

The flames split into three separate lines and coalesce into orbs, which then drop to the ground.

The Grand Minister looks at them. "Beerus?"

"Yes, O great and glorious Grand Minister?!"

"What are these?"

"I see. Then you will simply have to hold onto them for me." The Grand Minister sends them to surround Beerus with a wave of his arm, then he promptly disappears, presumably (hopefully) taking the Zen'os with him.

"... Okay then."

Akuma: "Dan... Oh no. You mean him?"

Dan: "Hey, what's that supposed to mean?"

Asura chuckles.

Sylvalum

Revenge: "Hold up a second. These look like Spirits. What are they doing here?"

Revenge looks at the orbs more closely, then suddenly remembers how he dodged a beam of light a bit after he first arrived.

Revenge: "Galeem. Damn it, I should have guessed."

Ryu also chuckles.

"Ah, that big thing with wings that killed off a bunch of people. That's what's responsible for the Arena's current mess, I suppose."

These Spirits appear to be still images rather than the ghostly forms of the physical bodies they represent, and they make no sound despite floating on their own. The implication is that they aren't the same kind of Spirits as those of Galeem's victims even if they can be equipped in the same fashion, and they're presumably not intelligent.

"I suppose I should go find someone who can make use of these, see how they could help the cause. Lord knows I'm not gonna find use for them, unless Bulma figures out a way to convert them into Hero Figures and even then, that seems a bit barbaric."

Nuclear!Zen'O watches the others leave, before cracking a small smile of his own. He then sighs; back to the fray. A plasmodesmatic spacetime-tunnel opens as he punches a hole in reality back to the Newklearverse.

Single, back where the fight started, turns of the Go Pro and mutters something about Kakarotto going to get a kick out of this before hopping out of the universe.

Saikyo Reborn Aftermath

Dan: "Whatever. If this Galeem guy is making people spirits and such, he's gonna answer to me!"

Asura: "And you're gonna annoy him to death?"

Akuma gets up fully.

Akuma: "You'll find I can be much more of an assistance than this runt."

Dan: "Hey!"

Sylvalum

Revenge: "Figures. "Lord of light and order", yet he's causing mass chaos for some sort of incomprehensible goal. Typical eldritch bullshit. Dealt with hedgehogs with stronger character traits."

Revenge takes a closer look at the spirits.

Revenge: "These look especially powerful. They can be equipped, you know; a way to make someone stronger. I'd say to have someone higher up than I in this ragtag group of powerful morons take a look at it though; They might have a better idea of who it should go to."

"Akuma has his body and can fight. Dan, you're still a Spirit. Your only use is being paired with physical fighters to power them up until you can be restored to your own body."

"I think I've seen just the guy around. I'll get these to him the next time I see him. Thank you for your help!"

Beerus flies up and away, the three Spirits trailing behind him.

Saikyo Reborn

Dan: "Awww... Hey, Akuma! How about we team up for this one?"

Akuma: "As that insufferable mage would say... "fat chance"."

Dan does a mock pout.

Asura: "You'd probably make him weaker."

Dan: "How do you know?"

Sylvalum

Revenge: "No problem!"

He stands there as Beerus flies away.

Revenge: "It's not every day I mingle with gods."

And with that, Revenge flies off.

"Anything is better than no Spirit at all. Dan, how about you pair up with me?"

An Introduction to Spirit Equipping

When a fighter equips a Spirit, the Spirit's form merges into the fighter, giving them an aura of colorful flame while causing the Spirit to disappear from the world - except for the fighter, who maintains a telepathic connection with them not unlike Abridged!Piccolo with Nail and Kami. If the Spirit has any additional properties, they take effect at the beginning of a fight. Example: For a Spirit that grants a weapon, that weapon manifests in the fighter's hands when a fight starts and ceases to exist once it ends.
