   "Because out of all the times Dr Wily's tried to upgrade me to try to take on Mega Man, I haven't been able to do it a single time. Not to mention that he just threw me at your overcharged spiked hellbot, knowing I'd lose. At this point, I think I have more faith in you than him if I'm aiming for success."   , he says.

   "I heard you speak of going against Grima. That makes us enemies by default."   , he says. He then seems to look at Samsara.

   "I... I highly doubt that."   

He sounded a little unsure when he said that.

Nicole fixes Samsara with an odd look, raising an eyebrow.

"Alright, hold the hell up, Sam: you actually know who this... weirdly short Grima cultist is, even though we can't see their face?"

You might be an alternate version of myself, robbed of free will and forced to assist Grima's onslaught, you might simply be a cultist amongst others... or... are you Morgan ?

Samsara stares, Gangrel tilt his head.

"Huh. Well, alright then."

Kirby nods happily as he gets up close to the time rift.

HAHA! COME, SMALL FETUS, TO VICTORY!

(He grins broadly and JUMPS through.)

Copy Robot pauses.

   "... oh. ... I didn't actually expect it to be that simple."   

He narrows his eyes.

   "You better not terminate my programming though, or you'll have something to explain to Dr Wily."   

He crosses his arms and sits down.

   "Anyhow, tell me when your little meeting is finished, then we can begin."   

The mage flinches upon hearing the last part of Samsara's sentence, when she mentions that name. Morgan.

   "..."   

He takes off his hood, revealing his face◊.

   "I suppose there's little harm in showing myself if you know my name... somehow."

"Of course I'm willing. Anything to keep a healthy relationship with Albert!"

"And to keep my niece safe..."

Kirby jumps to follow him...

And can't. It's like an invisible wall, keeping him from passing through with Stadrick.

Fu titters sadly as he vanishes.

On the other side, in the Divine Roost, a pair of blue Kirby-like eyes peer down on AP!Stadrick from the shadows atop the great tree.

The time rift fades away behind Stadrick, no longer passable from either side. The Kirby he knew so well is gone to him... possibly forever.

"Well, that'll be useful to know later," says Star Knight quietly to himself. "He seems like a good, courageous warrior. It would be a shame to see him in a state of depression forever now."

AP!Stadrick may find that the end of his flail is no longer what it used to be. The flail's head is now a five-point star just like Kirby's own created stars, possibly giving the lizardman hope that his son is still with him in spirit if not in person.

After taking a moment to process the fact that this Grima cultist was actually none other than Morgan, Nicole casts an outright baffled look at Samsara.

"...How the friggin' hell did you know who he was? His face was completely obscured, his voice was distorted, and not once did he accidentally give us any hints!"

Her gaze then flickers to Gangrel, of all people.

"Does she always figure out this kinda crap so goddamn quickly?"

She pays a close look to his hair color.

In at least one world... I am your mother. she says. You helped me slay Grima instead of serving him. she says, visibly getting emotional and a bit agitated even as she attempts to stay calm.

Gangrel is baffled and speechless for once.

(Stadrick blinks, peering down at his flail... Ohhh... What could have done this? It looks so cool now, and is probably very dangerous, but... Where is his little "son"...?)

(After a bit of fruitless looking around, it starts to sink in.)

...ECH... IT IS... MUCH THE SHAME, YES...? I DO NOT USUALLY EHHH... MAKE THE BEFRIENDINGS, BUT YOU... YOU WERE AS MY OWN EGG-BABY...

(...a single tear wells up in his eye and rolls down his cheek... But he smiles.)

...WE HAD SUCH THE MOMENT TOGETHER. WE MADE A BIG FUCKENING ON THOSE MONSTER... YOU... EVEN WHEN NOT HERE... ALWAYS ARE MY SON.

Copy Robot catches what Eggman says, visibly glancing at Omelette for a moment and showing her a suspiciously pleasant smile.

   I think it'd be good to refrain from telling Eggman that I can't just attack humans unless it's in self defense. At least until I have what I want.   , he thinks to himself.

He then diverts his attention away from the conversation, as if silently saying he won't bother them and will wait until they're finished.

Morgan looks genuinely shocked by this, silent for a moment. But then his gaze steels, his eyes darkening.

   "Grima is my mother. And I'll follow him to the end of the world if I have to. So if you truly intend to harm him, I should stop all three of you right here and now. Before you have a chance to get allies."   

He steps forward, reaching inside his cloak to take out his tome again, but pauses.

   "..."   

Despite what he just said, he does still look somewhat reluctant to actually attack.

"So..." Eggman turns back to Omelette. "Think you could whip up something for us? Just some security in case of an emergency."

Star Knight chuckles softly. If only... But I should save that for later. The time is not right for him to meet me. The yellow one... perhaps. Perhaps...

He bursts off to explore the Arena.

AP!Stadrick may notice a pink blur (Star Knight on his way out) streaking over his head.

Nicole can only look on at Samsara and Morgan's confrontation, every bit as stunned and speechless as Gangrel.

She leap in front of the others, not making any attack but preventing Gangrel or Nicole from striking in. She hold her hands out to her side, though they're low enough to grab her blades if she needs to.

I'm never going to harm you, Morgan, or let any harm come to you... but I won't let you attack my allies as well. This is going to be a stalemate and that's... not really a tactically-beneficial scenario... she says. Please, retreat...

Gangrel glares at her.

Fine then ! Get blasted away ! he counters, annoyed at her intervention.

Copy Robot will just sit off to the side until the conversations are finished, upon which he'll eventually leave with Dr Eggman.

He still looks hesitant.

   "... If I let you go, you'll go rally your allies and try to strike at us to get the upper hand. That'd be much more beneficial to you than our current stalemate, in which neither of us has the advantage. ... Then again..."   

He ponders a little, seemingly calculating things in his mind despite his rather vulnerable position.

   "... You know, you'll probably not be on time."   , he says somewhat ominously.

He pulls his hand out of his cloak, not holding his tome, confirming that he's not going to attack. He starts stepping backwards as he pulls his hood back up.

   "You'll probably be too busy."   

Go ahead. I'll do my best to fight you and Grima's threat once more... and pull you out of that darkness as well.

She backs off, still holding her arms out. Her eyes are closed tight, defiantly.

Whatever Grima has done to you, I'll undo it. You might not be my son, you might consider Grima to be your mother but I will save you from the Fell Dragon's corruption.

Gangrel looks at the vanishing Morgan.

Tsk. He's actually getting away !

"Dammit... Look, Sam, I totally get where you're coming from and I never planned on killing Morgan, but we should at least subdue him!" Nicole yells at Samsara.

"Are... Gangrel and I actually on the same page for once? Today's been friggin' weird..."

   "Grima didn't do anything to me. I chose to follow my mother. It's up to you whether you believe me or not."   

He then stops walking and narrows his eyes.

   "... goodbye."   

He then gets engulfed in the light of a Rescue Staff, which means that someone else is or was in the area just now to get Morgan away from them.

Regardless of whether they look around or not, they won't find him or whoever used that staff.

We can't just subdue him with the snap of a finger. He obviously had nearby allies and we don't know how he fight. It could've ended badly for us.

Samsara points at Gangrel and prepares to speak up... but then calm down and just fiddles with her hood.

The girl begins walking off, heading for the statue. Gangrel watches her, begins to say something and then shut up when Samsara, in a rage, destroy the statue with a swift sword attack, walking down the garden towards the street. Gangrel stares at Nicole.

He then leap off with his increased agility.

Rolling her eyes at Gangrel's parting remark, Nicole spreads her dragon wings before flying off.

Some distance away from the city

Morgan glances back at the city, still looking unsure, but snaps out of it when a lanky, evil-looking guy◊ puts his hand on his shoulder. He's accompanied by a smug looking woman dressed in black and white, riding a black pegasus◊.

   "... I'm sorry, grandfather. I heard them talking about Grima and got myself discovered."   , he says.

   "Oh, it's alright. This works in our advantage, as it seems you've brought them into disarray. It'll buy us the time we need."   , the man says.

   "We'll just need them to take down some more Einherjar in the meantime."   , the woman says.

   "Indeed. We'll have to play the prince a little more, have him keep sending out Einherjar for them to fight. Once enough of them have been retrieved by the shopkeeper, Grima's ressurection will be at hand."   

Morgan lowers his head a little, though then the man tousles his hair, showing a conniving, foreboding grin that Morgan, due to looking down, doesn't catch.

   "Your mother will be proud of you, I know it."   

   "... Yeah... yeah, she will."   , Morgan softly says, looking a little wistful.

The three of them then leave.
