Enforcer somehow manages to claw his way up to the Floating Islands. Scout stands on the edge, looking down at him.

   "BY THE DARK GODS, OTHERSELF, I HAD NO IDEA YOU WERE THIS SLOW."   

   "FUCK YOU, SCOUT! YOU HAVE WINGS!"   

   "YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER THAN TO PICK A LOCATION THIS HIGH IN THE AIR~."   

Floating Islands

Tia sat up, and took her hat off of her staff and stood up. She heard the noise coming from Scout and Enforcer some distance away from her, so she started heading over that way. Then she remembered that this island was tiny, all things considered. Sighing, she turned parts of her robes into dragon wings and fluttered over to the island the the two beings were upon.

Enforcer manages to claw himself up onto the island.

   "KEIKAN-MA… GRANT ME STRENGTH…"   

   "ENFORCER IS SLOW~! ENFORCER IS-"   

   "STOP THAT! IT IS NOT EVEN CLEVER!"   

He throws a half-hearted punch at Scout, who easily side steps it, and collapses onto the island, breathing heavily, while Scout cackles.

Tia floated down, looking little more than, well... honestly, she kind of looked a bit like Megumin, but with black as her main color, and many more bits and bobbles on her attire. Still groggy, she floated down and sleepily said, "Couldja shudafuck up, please? It's too early for that noise."

This, despite the fact that is was roughly noon.

   "WHAT DO YOU MEAN, 'EARLY'? THIS REALM'S STAR HAS ALMOST HIT THE APEX OF ITS RISE! YOU SHOULD BE QUICKER ABO–"   

   "SHUT! THE FUCK! UP! SCOUT! NOT EVERY OTHER SENTENCE OUT OF YOUR MOUTH HAS TO HAVE WORDS RELATING TO SPEED OR SOME SUCH BULLSHIT!"   

Both of them have no indoor voice.

   "BESIDES, WE ARE NOT HERE TO ANTAGONIZE ANYONE. THE REASON WE ENTERED THIS EVENT WAS TO ENTRENCH US IN MATERIAL SOCIETY."   

Tia dealt with the noise by lazily casting a spell that effective was little more than magic earplugs. "Ah, yes. So it is. My apologies," she said "I seem to recall you from the meeting in the Silent Mire. Enforcer and Scout, if I remember correctly? I am called Tia. Tis a pleasure to meet you both!"

She bowed respectfully at the end. Internally, Tiamat was giggling a bit, but that didn't reflect on the outside, on her disguised form.

   "WE–"   

Enforcer basically shoves Scout of the way.

   "SILENCE YOURSELF BEFORE YOU ETERNALLY RENDER US BOTH UTTER PARIAHS."   

   "YES, WE ARE ENFORCER AND SCOUT, FIFTH GENERATION. I PRESUME YOU ARE ALSO TAKING PART IN THIS… DRAGONFEST EVENT."   

Scout tries to sniff Tia's essence/scent.

"Indeed, I am. What brings you to these floating islands?"

As scout sniffs, he will detect something akin to a dragon, but there is... more. In fact, it seems about five times as intense as a single dragon's essence, with a distinctive touch of divinity. Apparently, Tiamat was tired enough to forget the details of her disguised essence.

Scout recoils slightly.

   "EUGH… GOD-STENCH…"   

   "IT WAS JUST ANOTHER LOCATION LISTED ON THE SIGNING DOCUMENT… I SUPPOSED THAT TURNING OUR COATS FROM CHAOS WOULD BE BENEFICIAL TO OUR SURVIVAL IN THIS REALM, ESPECIALLY SINCE WE HAVE NO WAY TO RETURN TO OUR HOMELAND AND THE FORCES OF CHAOS ARE SHOWING ABSOLUTE MINIMAL INTEREST IN THIS PLACE. SO WE ARE SIMPLY HERE TO BUILD SOCIAL CONNECTIONS IN HOPES OF INCREASING OUR CHANCES OF SURVIVAL."   

"Ah. Most understandable, then. I am not entirely certain how I arrived in these lands, but they are merely another place for me to ply my trade and practice my magic."

Scout would likely feel his mind contacted, and hear, Well, well, you found me out. Try to keep this a secret from the other arena-goers for now, please — I quite like being able to mingle in this mortal shape.

Scout responds mildly snidely.

   "… I DO NOT SEE THE POINT, BUT AS YOU WISH."   

Enforcer:

   "WE ARRIVED THROUGH A CHAOS RIFT, AND IMMEDIATELY KNEW THAT CHAOS GAVE NOT A DAMN ABOUT US. THE OFFICIAL REASON FOR COMING WAS TO 'SUBJUGATE THE EXTRAVERSAL MATERIALS WITH AN INCURSION', BUT THEY ONLY SENT US AND A HUNDRED BROO. THE ABSOLUTE MINIMUM FOR AN INCURSION IN THE PRIMARY COSMOS IS AROUND A HUNDRED TRILLION DAEMONS… WE ARE PRETTY SURE THEY EITHER WOULD NOT BE SURPRISED TO LEARN OF OUR TREASON AND ABANDONMENT, OR ASSUME WE ARE ALREADY DEAD."   

Bad luck.

Bazelgeuse and Deviljho both draw their heads back long enough that Jam misses completely, then shoot at each other with their own respective breath attacks - the Deviljho its weird, smoke-like dragonbreath and the Bazelgeuse a quick explosive fire blast.

Deviljho is toppled over, and Bazelgeuse gets blown out of the sky, both of them collapsing on the ground.

The two Robot Masters barrage the downed Bazelgeuse with light Buster fire - not enough to really draw its ire, but enough to weaken it slightly.

Megan was sipping on a slushie that she mysteriously acquired as she watched the chaos unfold.

"Hey, Domon, do you figure that once those two are done duking it out, that the damage will reverse due to how The Arena treats environments, or do you figure that BLADE will have me working overtime to put this place back in order?," she said, with a hint of Snark in her voice.

When the huge cross-counter explosion happened, Megan cheered. She did love explosions so, after all. She thought about testing out the MiniBlink Line Cannon on them, but decided against it for now.

"Oh dear! Quite a wretched fate, to be abandoned by ones once considered comrades — even if they are daemons. Perhaps you would be interested in... a little blow of vengeance against them?"

There was a glint in her eyes as she said 'vengeance' — the glint of someone with real power, of someone who could make that vengeance happen.

   "HONESTLY… I FEEL THAT WOULD BE A BIT SUICIDAL. FIRSTLY, SIMPLY REACHING THEM WOULD BE QUITE A FEAT, CONSIDERING THAT THEY ARE ALL THE WAY BACK IN OUR HOME UNIVERSE, AND HAVE ONLY THE BARE MINIMUM INTEREST IN ANY COSMOS THAT ISN'T THE ONE DIRECTLY JOINED TO THEIRS."   

   "SECONDLY… WE WERE RELICS OF A BYGONE AGE, AND KNEW WE WERE BEING SENT OFF ON A FINAL, ESSENTIALLY PUBLIC RELATIONS MISSION, BUT DID NOTHING AGAINST IT BECAUSE WE KNEW BETTER. WE HAD A GREATER CHANCE AGAINST THIS REALM'S INHABITANTS THAN AGAINST THE INFINITE HORDES OF MEN AND BEASTS THE HOMEVOID THROWS UP."   

   "AND FINALLY… WE HAVE NOTHING PERSONALLY AGAINST THEM. I INTELLECTUALLY UNDERSTAND MATERIAL CONCEPTS SUCH AS 'COMPASSION' AND 'VENGEANCE', BUT TO BE PERFECTLY HONEST DO NOT FEEL ANY LONGING NEED TO LASH OUT AGAINST OUR FORMER SUPERIORS OR COMRADES. I WOULD RATHER JUST NOT HAVE TO REENCOUNTER THEM. ESPECIALLY ANY S TIER AND OVER."   

Floating Islands

"Oh, well then. If you should ever feel the need arise for such a thing — perhaps not against your former masters, but against another— then I can direct to someone of interest at that time. Until then, why not stay a while, and enjoy the view? You may not feel the need for it, but neither did I at first," Tia said, the glint fading from her eyes. She invited the two to take a seat next to her as she looked out over the land.

Internally, Tiamat was slightly confused as to what in the fuck, exactly, she was doing, but went along with it.

[BLIND AN— you know what, you know the drill by now. Timefreeze!

She decide to ignore the incoming Logan and arc her elbow forward, before attempting to piledrive the Deviljho !

GI Joe gets piledrived, Diablos laughs.

Slayer throws a few explosive white fire ball at the two beast. Then throws a halo or two at them too

"I think this place will be restored on its own. If not, I have three Gundams that can be piloted to do the heavy lifting."

The Tempered World-Eaters get up at the same time. Then Jam grabs Deviljho, and Bazelgeuse immediately charges headfirst into the beast, covering the ruined city in its bomb-like scales. However, the act of Bazel's ram also prevents Jam from finishing her attack.

Deviljho basically snipes Bazelgeuse out of the sky with a quick dragonbreath spout, grabs it by the head and slams it against the ground a few times.

One of Slayer's fireballs grazes one of the aforementioned scales.

The heroes have three seconds to react before a chain explosion levels the city, finishing the job that Jho had started.

Burning Gundam reaches around Megan, Mega Man, and Dragon Man to shield them from the explosions.

Slayer put a barrier of barrier of light that should withstand the blast around the remaining around heroes.

Jam, aware of the barrier and her natural resistance to fire, prepare to strike, veins accumulating within her hands.

Storm Weaver once again returned to the fight, hardly caring about the imminent explosion as it rushed down Deviljho, releasing a wave of probes to fire electrically-charged lasers at both creatures while the worm itself aimed for the Jho's throat.

The scales detonate in sequence, and yes, the city is destroyed.

Burning Gundam is blown back, but the fighters it protected are safe.

...

Bazelgeuse and Deviljho lie battered, their bodies broken. Not even Bazel's inherent fire resistance saved it from the blast, and the tip of its own tail has fallen off from Storm Weaver's lightning.

If any of the fighters had heads-up displays, both these monsters would have pulsating skull icons hovering in the top-right corners of their minimap images (which means they're both almost dead).

They slowly get up to their feet and roar at each other one more time.

Dragon Man and Mega Man exchange glances and nod. They begin gathering energy in their Busters...

Slayer flights over to the Gumdams, while also charging a lightning bolt. By the time he got over to them, the lightning bolt would be the size of a street light pole

Jam, protected by the barrier, and fire resistance and her own durability, leap out of nowhere and attempts to bash on the Deviljho head with her fists, before attempting to uppercut it over into the air. Regardless of success, she turns her attention to the other monster, and attempt to badly pummel it several times over, swinging her legs and fists at a fast pace.

"YAH !" she says, as she attempts to outright punch some teeth off.
