He folds his arms and look down at the woman.

"Humph ! Why bother about a dragon when a God is in front of you ?" he says, with a haughty smile, forming an electric orb in the palm of his hand.

Then he hears the roar and kind of... shrug for a moment, tossing the orb away and not even looking as an explosion rage on in the background as a result.

"Fair enough."

Without getting up, the black-covered woman draws her sword and points it in the direction of the roaring. "See? Dragon. I sensed it shortly after I retrieved a friend whom I... accidentally deposited into this Arena earlier. Whatever. Anyway..." She stands up and dusts herself off. "From the sounds of it, that's a Tahnr dragon all right."

She turns to look at the other two people there with her. "Oh, right, other dimension. In my reality, 'Tahnr' is the Draconic word for 'Monster', used to describe dragons so unhinged and powerful that even other evil dragons are scared of them."

She bows. "An honor to stand before the God of Thunder... and an individual of draconic descent."

She bows again, this time explicitly bowing to Zeus. "Sorry, Zeus, I really like dragons. In my world, they're lesser deities, and that's just fascinating to me. So I love to look at other realities' versions of dragons - just for fun!"

He seems pleased by the bowing, seemingly glad to meet a mortal who needs no introduction. He'd love it if she actually said "God of the gods" but that was enough already, and beside, he's had enough titles already.

"i see that you're a wise mortal. Very good !" he says. "No need to worry, dragons are always a subject of interest for mortals, to the point where some worship them."

He find a way to roll his pupil-less eyes over to the sky.

"Let them believe in what they believe."

"So, I guess we mortals should get to know each other. What use is there making idle chit-chat with a supreme deity who has many more important things to do than talk to lower beings?" She not-so-subtly winks at nobody in particular.

The woman sheathes her sword and extends a hand out to Megan. "My name is Terlette Asti, and my greatest accomplishment so far has been compiling a database of every magical thing in my reality into a single book. Hand. Written." She's lying - not about doing that (she did do that), but about that being her greatest accomplishment. However, she fears that ZEUS lacks a firm enough grasp of his worldview to comprehend it properly, so she leaves that out.

"I am interested, actually." he says. "How can you accumplish that feat ?" he says, seemingly genuinely intrigued.

Megan relaxed slightly, but her arm was still tense. "'Monster' is an especially apt description for that particular dragon. I've been hunting it across a couple different dimensions now — which is already unusual for a dragon from my homeworld, mind you, but that's besides the point," she said. She took the Terlette's hand, and shook it. "Megan's my name. I'm not of draconic descent, but the blood of a dragon flows through my veins all the same."

"I accomplished this feat by taking an incomplete version of the book made decades before most magical discoveries, assembling lots and lots of notes, and rewriting all of it with nothing but a magical writing quill and a ton of paper."

"Wait, what? Ohhhh, fuck." Terlette turns to Megan. "Tahnr dragons pursue mortals across dimensions if they really want those mortals dead. And a lot of Tahnr dragons from my world really want me dead. This bodes poorly... Great Lord of Gods Zeus, could you get ready to throw a smiting bolt at the portal I came from? Please?"

A massive scaly claw reaches through Terlette's portal, tearing it wider open than it could've ever been, starting to fracture the fabric of space around it. Then a second claw reaches through, and together they start to tear the dimensional barrier asunder.

"Kill it quickly!" Terlette yells, diving away from the portal. "Just watch out for me!"

He quickly act up with an experienced flick of his wrist, summoning a lightning bolt that pulse with intense, raw power, the kind that only a god could wield. The air shimmer around the bolt as Zeus steps in front of the ladies.

The King of the Gods looks on at the emergence of the beast carefully, treating the event with utter seriousness for now. His eyes glow white as he start to surround himself with an electric aura, revelling in his godly glory.

   FOUL BEAST !"    he yells.    THE WRATH OF THE KING OF THE GODS IS UPON YOU ! BEGONE !"   

He toss the bolt in with great strength, aiming to kill or maim the beast, or at the very least, push it back and teach it a good lesson.

An absolutely gigantic blue dragon, likely as big as the Tyrant Dragon, with arms, legs, and wings, stomps out of the portal into the Arena, roaring like a Titan.

The dragon is instantly struck by Zeus's lightning and falls over dead, smoke hissing from all pores in its body.

Terlette pumps her fist into the air. "Yeah! I knew it! No matter the reality, not even a Tahnr dragon can survive the smiting hand of any pantheon's most powerful god!" She bows to Zeus. "Thank you, God of Gods, for exerting your will on this day. I'd love to talk to the two of you more, but I need to patch up this hole before the spacetime continuum shatters, and that requires utmost concentration."

With that, Terlette turns her attention to the torn-open portal. Orbs of swirling rainbow light, the same light as the outline of the portal and the fractures in space, appear in her hands. As she points them at the portal, the cracks around it start to recede.

"You took the words right out of my mouth, child !" he says, going back to "normal". "I fight all day against creatures from other worlds, even the mightiest dragons will fall against the might of ZEUS !"

He open his arms wide as confetti of some sort shoot out of nowhere, with him looking pretty smug as they get into his beard or clothes. He electrocute them off and then stares.

"You are welcome. I would like to help, but i am slightly less good at this than I am with everything else. And Olympus needs me."

He open up a small portal made out of lightning, some greek architecture can be seen on the other side, along with a shining light.

"Farewell !" he says, before leaping in, with the unstable portal closing off after his departure.

Death:

He approaches the area with Zeus and Terlette, noticing the great amount of power not only coming from Zeus, but also Terlette. He makes himself known, by riding in on his horse, Despair.

When the dragon dropped out of the portal, Megan had already had her gun trained on the thing. Unfortunately for her, before she could get off a shot, it fell, dead and smouldering, from Zeus' grand lightning bolt. She relaxed once again, although she was clearly frustrated with her apparent inability to get in to a fight. Holstering her weapon once more, she went up to the corpse of the beast, and began harvesting it for specific bits — the teeth, the eyes, the talons, the wing-skin, and the scales, in particular. The longer she harvested, the more irritated she got that she didn't get to do her job. At least this one shouldn't be a threat to anyone, now..., she thought, trying to calm herself down.

As she finished harvesting, she became distinctly aware of a strong presence nearby. Being effectively inside of a dragon's corpse, she chose not to activate her Dragonsenses — the smell was already bad enough in here. She also noticed something odd about the scales of this dragon — they seemed to positively radiating mana, quite unlike the dragons from her home dimension. She took as many as she had room for after she harvested the other ingredients.

Terlette leans over Megan's shoulder as the hunter goes to work. "Ooh, collecting a lot of scales, are we? You'll definitely want to do that - dragon scales are the key component of potions in my world. And this is an Aqueo, or Water, dragon, so all potions made from its scales will have water-type effects. Just think - with enough scales in one potion, you could potentially assume the form of an Aqueo dragon! I haven't tried it, but it should be possible."

"Mmm. I don't have any formal training in it, but Alchemy is one of my strongest tools. I'm not sure what kind of potions exist in your world, but the ones from my world are pretty varied — health potions, magic potions, ability enhancers... my personal favorites are Transformation and Mutation potions. I think I can modify the potion base to allow me to turn into something like this big boy, just smaller. And there are some other uses I'm interested in, like using one as a kind of explosive, or something like one," she said, only mildly upset now that she has something to talk about. She can also now feel a bit of the magic radiating off of Terlette — it's not in the same level as the Aqueo dragon, but it was nothing to laugh at, either.

"I'll tell you what — we can share our knowledge of alchemy and dragons back in New Los Angeles over a drink or something. For now, I —," she said, suddenly stopping to sniff the air. Something seemed... off, and it wasn't the dragon corpse.

Terlette sighs. "Well, at least this one isn't as powerful. You're a dragon hunter by trade, right? Well, so was I for a while, until a mishap which shall go unspoken of. We're about to face a Khol dragon. It's more... serpentine. You might also call it a wyvern."

The afternoon daylight suddenly turns to a full-moon night.

"Oh great. It's also a Luns dragon - in other words, it's cannonballing into us from the moon. Brace for impact!" Terlette simply crosses her arms in front of herself as a white wyvern curled into a ball hurtles towards their location from the full moon's position in the sky.

Megan grinned, her smile stretching as far as it can go, and reveal teeth that seem... sharper, somehow, than regular human teeth. Music, from no particular source, could be heard, however faintly. Ashen Rain by Orden Ogan.

She downed her Shielding Potion, doing her damnedest to not think about how god-awful the taste is, and drew her sword, the humble yet powerful Skyblade, its pale, icy blade mimicking a full moon itself. She pressed her palm against the flat of the blade, and struck her hand off of it like a matchstick. At this, blade began to glow a pale, pulsing teal. Megan made sure to pocket the vial for the now-drunk potion, as her entire body was encased in the tell-tale shell of translucent black that signaled that the Shielding Potion was now in effect.

The Khol Luns Kahrs, or Serpent Moon Killer, slams into the ground with tremendous force, making a huge shockwave. Megan and, surprisingly, Terlette, both maintain their footing.

"Sweetener doesn't screw up dragon-scale potions, actually." Terlette draws her own sword, called Nihil Edge, and pulls a flask off her belt for a quick swig. In the flask is not alcohol, but a Lightning Burst Potion brewed from Electri dragon scales (among other things). Terlette does a Flash Step sequence, like a zigzagging lightning bolt, until she closes in on the dragon, then does one more Flash Step up into the air and goes for a flying heel drop on the dragon's head.

Megan, not bothering with this whole physics thing, channeled an extra bit of mana in to her muscles, and took a running leap at the dragon, aiming to jump not on to its head, but over it, on to its neck. She brought her teal-glowing blade forward, and prepared to unleash the radiating magic within. Her scales, at this point, were a darkened, but still quite stunning, shade of blue. Her mana is at about three-quarters full.

Terlette sees what Megan's doing and changes her heel drop, mid-fall, into the setup for some kind of leg hold.

The Khol Luns Kahrs calls down a shower of small meteors from the sky. Terlette plummets surprisingly fast, wrapping her legs around the dragon's snout and pinning its mouth shut, also slamming its head into the ground. "Now! Attack the neck while I've got it pinned!" She slices an incoming meteor in half with Nihil Edge, and it dissolves into nothingness due to the blade's innate magic.

The dragon grunts and hisses through its clamped jaws, "You... stubborn little bitches... I'll kill you!"

If Megan could grin any wider, she would have to be a skeleton. She lands on the dragon's back, and dashes over the the creature's white-scaled neck. She laughs, and snaps back at the dragon, "Who are you calling a bitch, you overgrown lizard?!" With that, she plunges her blade into its neck, and runs up the neck with her blade still plunged in to it, the draconic energy within scorching the wound with raw mana.

Khol Luns Kahrs shrieks in pain so loudly that Terlette's grip is loosened, and the dragon uses the opportunity to fling her off. She crashes quite a distance away, unmoving. The dragon now fires a comet from its mouth that turns around mid-flight, going over its head to try and hit Megan.

Keeping a firm grip on her sword, Megan braces for the impact of the comet. Her shield is partially depleted as it is, however. Her plan, assuming she can maintain her grip, is to then thrust the Skyblade more deeply in to the wound, and releasd the draconic wrath within in a huge, shining lance of energy. Normally, this move, nicknamed by Megs herself as the Dragonbuster, works well enough, but the extra magical energy in this dragon's scales might deflect more of the Dragonbuster than normal.

The comet blows Megan off the dragon's back.

Terlette stands up from where she was flung. "Alright. Enough of this shit." Her free hand lights up, and she fires a ray of sunlight into the dragon's eyes, followed by a barrage of comet projectiles of her own.

The dragon is blinded and burned by the sunlight, but easily disperses the comet barrage with an energy blast from its mouth. "ASSHOLES!"

Terlette stares blankly. "Of course it can do that."

Sporacles runs out onto the battlefield, waving his Thermoblade and shouting 'Leeroy Jekins'.

He charges the dragon pretty much out of nowhere.

Megan rolls onto the ground, her smile now turned in to a scowl. The string of curses she muttered may very well be entirely unrepeatable. She is battered from that comet, and has a several actual cuts on her body — something that is rather difficult to do. Her sword is still charged with energy, so she siphons off what's left, refilling her mana by a bit. She sheaths Skyblade, looks at the newcomer, and sighs. She had planned to channel as much of her power as possible in to a single, massive beam of energy, but she would have to settle for just shooting the damn thing. She takes out her Hand Cannon, known as "Eruption", almost begrudgingly, and takes aim at the wyvern's moon-white head.
