I have a character whose soul stays in the mortal world and gradually regenerates their physical form. As long as your character can suffer a meaningful defeat - i.e. be knocked out of the fight without popping back up like a shimeji - it's fine, that's the general rule.

I'll go with Medic.
Medic is a support class in Team Fortress 2. We wields a Medigun, A weapon that heals whoever he aims it at. His 2nd is the syringe gun, which shoots syringes. He uses a bonesaw as his melee weapon. He also has a small healing factor, but at the cost of being a glass cannon.
He speaks with a heavy German accent and loves inflicting pain.

I'm seriously tempted to join in on this... that wouldn't be too much of a problem, would it? Even though I'd have no idea where to begin XD
As for who I'd be... well, it is "be your avatar" that would mean I'd be Miki Hoshii, and if it extends to outfits as well... well... (at the very least she'd still be in character... outfits don't matter to her)
Anyways, she's an idol from the iDOLM@STER series who is brilliant, but lazy. I was thinking of including her magical girl form from the mock movie trailer as a 'power-up' form, just so she's not a flat out generic human.

hello i would like to start with the character Eirjkr Fjandistinger an elven viking warrior (barbarian specifically) who fell through a portal. he believes freedom is the most important thing in life, never runs away from a fight to the point of stupidity and has absalutely no idea what "romantic love (eros)" or "sex" is and is asexual he is quite strong (dnd strength 26) and coordinated (dex 18) and fights with 2 swords he can rage for a temporary boost in strength or speed
