Oh, fuck, you're right. I never realized until now but it happened within Blake's lifetime, didn't it? Hm. Maybe Ling was part of some other faunus supremacist faction that the White Fang were speaking out against. Maybe some group that never stopped fighting even after the war ended?

EDIT: shit that means it's also impossible for Ai to have wanted to join the White Fang during its violent days. This fucks up everything!

Well, Grim did say it was likely that the faction that took over the White Fang five years before canon RWBY was there for a while, like the Nazi Party before they took control of Germany, but they only came into power just now.

There could have been slowly growing pressure from this faction to change the organization's policy, and they may have done terrible things that were dismissed or taken care of by either the White Fang or peacekeeping folks who shut them down, but then they managed to take over at the time Blake remembers.

Basically, I'm saying it's perfectly possible for an villainous Faunus to be in the White Fang. Just understand that what they do is actually condemned by the those in charge of the White Fang in this time period.

Well, nothing's more narmy (or probably hilarious and inconspicuous) as a Mystery Machine expy for a mode of transport.

...Anyways, let's see. Someone told me this RP was happening and while I don't have a character from Beacon: Ultimate, nor is he related to James/Croire in Next, I thought I'd throw this out anyway. Might need a bit of tweaking, might not. >_<

  • Name: Archie Zill.
  • Codename: Grey Rabbit
  • Gender: Male.
  • Age: 25
  • Birthday: Unknown.
  • Themes: Loneliness (Strange Presentiment) (Idle), Battle for Survival (Combat/Battle)
  • Race: Human. Not really. Mouse Faunus. That hood is a surprisingly effective disguise.
  • Appearance: Pictured. Not pictured, brown eyes.
  • Weapons and Equipment: Lights Out A bolt-action(?) sniper rifle with two major differences. Firstly, the fire-arm in question requires a second or two setting up as the weapon is separated into three parts to make it less bulky and easier to store. Firing in this state uses normal ammunition, but it's VERY difficult for him to shoot a target unless stationary. Secondly as you may have guessed, is the alternate ammuntion, using part of his Aura as a projectile, meaning he can fire on the move, but causes fatigue much faster.

    • Skirmisher: If range isn't an option, a short-sword of tempered obsidian (or titanium, whatever works) might deal the job close up. Not exactly Archie's specialty, but it works in a pinch.

  • Semblance: Out Of Sight... ...And out of mind. The best form of camouflage is darkness and using the shadows themselves. With a bit of concentration, he and whatever he's carrying can literally meld into the shadows and disappear from sight and become practically invulnerable. Doing this tends to eat burn through his Aura at an astonishing rate, but it's usually enough to move into a more favorable position, or avoid detection.
  • Expertise: Stealth, reconnaissance/scouting, infiltration, disguises, hit-and-run tactics.
  • Personality: Archie is calm, collected and never loses his cool no matter what seems to get thrown his way as if he's seen it all before. ...Unfortunately, this leaves him with a blunt, impatient and somewhat cold, seeming like the last person who'd care. The man beneath the frosty exterior however, has a strong distaste for any forms of discrimination, and if you're an ally in need who's gained his trust, come hell or high water, he WILL do what he can to help.
  • Bio: As a child living in the slums, for a few years, he knew to keep his head low, pick fights he could win and bring what supplies and food back to his siblings. Unfortunately despite his best efforts between attacks from Grimm and others in the slums along with a prolonged shortage of food, he ended up being the only one left. From then on, he struck out against 'authority', stealing resources and getting more bold in his attempts and avoiding capture until he made a mistake, giving a choice between imprisonment...or harnessing his talents at Beacon for the greater good.
    • Fortunately, at Beacon, keeping a low profile was easy as always, and his actual identity a secret to everyone. To those who were still alive after the four years, that is. Being on a team of underachievers who were never really noticed only helped keeping him concealed...even if by the end of the fourth year, the only one left on the team was him. ...It's hard to tell if he willingly joined the group he's with now or not, but either way, it's somewhere for him to belong for the time being.

...More information for this particular guy has been in planning for over a year, and it takes the fifth spinoff for me to finally decide to make the sheet. Damn, I’m lazy. (-__-')

  • Name: Feros Krigsvart Sorry Solus, I wasn’t planning on playing Hiram, he’s too much like Lucas.
  • Codename: Iron Tiger
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: 22
  • Birthday: Felecitas 15
  • Race: Human
  • Appearance: See the guy at the right? All he’s missing is a 1940’s style bomber’s jacket and a red bandana.
  • Weapons and Equipment:
    • Godbreaker, a Tactical Mortar Flameblade. Imagine a humungous greatsword with a bunch of Flame Dust stored in it’s hilt, allowing you to use a flaming sword or aim the hilt and shoot explosive fireballs at enemies, and you have a good idea of what Godbreaker is.
    • Rodblomst, a motorbike that doubles as a mini-mecha similar to a RideBack, except that its compact form looks more like a normal motorbike. Rodblomst gives high speed and maneuverability and can wield Godbreaker in one of its arms. However, like with normal motorbikes, there isn’t much in term of protection for Feros while riding it — and obviously, there’s the fact that it’s not a good idea to drive it indoors
  • Semblance: Double Vision. With this, Feros can make a copy of himself. This copy closely follows besides Feros and copies his every move to the point of mirroring him until he gives some sort of signal (usually just yelling “Split”), at which point the copy does some different action from him, such as charging at the baddie or attempting to make a mad dash for something. However, as many opponents soon find out, this copy is mostly a compelling visual and audio illusion — any attack placed upon it causes it to dissolve, and any who see Aura will notice that all that is appearing where the copy is is just a faint flickering glow of Aura. There’s also a slight hint of mind manipulation in the effect of the copy, in terms of the fact that until it’s revealed as a copy in some way (such as the two things shown above), people are more likely to concentrate on the copy than Feros himself. Theoretically, he could summon up more than one copy, but he’s not sure if it would be worth the extra Aura drain to do so.
  • Expertise: Mechanics, driving, stunts
  • Personality: Feros was that guy who always tried to live like there was no tomorrow. He often came across as a thrillseeker, and a trickster, and in a few cases, a pervert. But under the hot-blooded frat boy persona lies an uncanny knack with machines and the idealism and drive to change the world for the better.
  • Bio:
    • Feros was the little brother of Hiram Wednesday Krigsvart, but they couldn’t have been more different if they tried. Whereas Hiram was the quiet successful one, Feros was the guy with potential who wasted it in the parties and plans for pranks that always seemed to backfire at the worst moments. He soon gained a reputation as a party animal, troublemaker, and “That guy who stole Glynda Goodwitch’s underwear during the Panty Raid.”
    • He probably would have kept that path were it not for one fateful night during his second year at Beacon. While at a not-exactly-authorized night on the town, he first came across Rodblomst — which, at the time, had fallen to disrepair and left in a dump. He wasn’t sure what about the odd-looking motorcycle had gotten his interest, but whatever it was, he was soon dead-set on fixing it. He brought it back to Beacon (How exactly is a story that is never told the same way twice) and got to work fixing it up to its current state. It took a long while of repairing — and actually paying attention in Forging class — but by his third year, he was using Rodblomst both in crazy stunts and, with more frequency as the years went on, in combat against the Grim.

Here comes the mean old Dragon.

  • Name: Francesca Jade

  • Codename: White Snake/Jade Dragon

  • Gender: Female

  • Age: 26

  • Birthday:Aurum 20th

  • Race: Snake/Dragon Faunus

  • Appearance: Since she's younger and all, still white as snow. Only thing the picture is missing is a combat vest really.

  • Weapons and Equipment: Let's be honest for a second here. Francesca doesn't need a weapon. She has fought long enough with no weapon to justify not using one. She can comfortably fight with her arms and legs, and the talons hidden in her fingers. If need be, she can even breath fire, although that is a massive aura drain and she can't use it often. Francesca also has the ability to supplement her strikes with her aura, hardening her skin even further, giving her increased offense and defense.

  • Semblance: Dragon's Fury This is the Jades. They have this curse Semblance. It's gonna be used. For those who are unaware, the Jade Semblance makes it so that the Jades can enter a state akin to a Berserk state. Their physical prowess is dialed up many notches, making them even stronger, tougher, and faster, as well as immune to pain. This does not make them invincible, just hard to deal with. Each Jade has a unique spin on this semblance, Francesca's is the ability to coat her body in fire to enhance her strikes, burning and scorching her opponents.

    • Addendum: The Berserk Semblance has a side effect, if a Jade stays in it for too long, they lose their mind and start to lash out at others, attacking everything within range until they run out of aura and collapse from exhaustion. Or die. Whichever happens.

  • Expertise: Close Combat, specifically Hand To Hand. Francesca is a monster in that apsect, and has reportedly never lost when it comes to brawling.

  • Personality: This isn't the Francesca Jade you know. There are aspects of it in her, clearly, but not enough to be the woman most are familiar with. She is despondent, desperate, down on her knees begging for a sign that something good will happen in her life. She has a fire deep inside, but it is dying out from the events of the year. She is fierce, violent, protective and can be angered quickly. Nevertheless, she is steadfast and loyal to a fault, willing to fight, kill, and even die for a cause she believes in.

  • Bio: This has not been Francesca Jade's best year. She has had a child, yes, that is good. A healthy baby is a good and happy baby...but her husband has sunk into a coma after a vicious fight. Down on her luck, in desperate need of money, and harboring thoughts of suicide, Francesca didn't know where to turn...then she received a visit from the newly crowned Queen of Vale, of all people with a job offer. Francesca had built a reputation in the years prior as a ruthless fighter, and now she was going to get a chance to put her skills to use.

Alright, let's do it~

  • Name: Ada Koller
  • Codename: Golden Calf
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: 43
  • Birthday: 1st of Tempestas
  • Race: Human
  • Appearance: Not pictured: 6'8'' of height, the room full of gore and the guy that's still alive.
  • Weapons and Equipment:
    • Avenus - a folded shotgun normally held by Ada in a guitar case adorned with Shuriken's symbol(further expanded below); it's a pretty mean double-barrel loaded with a variety of Dust slugs and pellets, their use varying from pacifying a crowd to splattering someone all over the wall. It has a handful of mods attached to it such as a grenade launcher, silencer and barrel chokes to make it more dangerous than it seemingly is. Due to its nature as a folding shotgun, it can be easily concealed under her trenchcoat, drawn and shot one-handed, although that usually limits the amount of mods she can install on it. (Some info on such a folding shotgun)
    • Explosives. All kinds of explosives. Proximity mines, frag grenades, claymores, remote-controlled mini-missiles, wire-tripped cans full of caustic acid... if it can be set up for a trap, Ada has it in her arsenal.
    • A basic set of cameras and a remote-controlled cameracar which she uses for scouting, checking enemy positions and the like.
    • Herself, really. She has no formal training, but her raw strength and experience from a shitty life still make her a formidable fighter that will use every trick in the book to gain an upper hand.
  • Semblance - Bloodborne: Ada and blood other than hers... mix oddly. If it comes into contact with her skin it sinks in, revitalizing her and briefly making her stronger, faster and more resilient. The more she "consumes", the stronger she becomes, but at the same time absorbing too much of it can rattle her sanity and reduce either to a giggling wreck or to a bloodthirsty maniac. Consuming even more would most likely rip her mind apart and degrade into a creature very much similar to a Grimm. Speaking of these, their blood works only half as effectively on her.
    • The blood in question can be expelled by hardening it into spikes growing out of Ada's body. Although a potentially lethal maneuver on any unfortunate enough to be near her, it leaves her with a handful of wounds and only shreds of Aura remaining.
  • Expertise: Area Denial, as well as Terror and Underworld Contacts.
  • Personality: Ada Koller appears to be a calm, albeit highly sarcastic and cynical individual. Having lived a life that had its fair share of atrocities - either witnessed or done - she has long given up on trying to find some sort of higher meaning to her actions and embraced her true self. To this point, she'll hammer it into every idealist she comes across that slogans and empty phrases aren't worth dying for. Under this facade lies the aforementioned true self: the girl so far gone she acknowledges herself as something closer to a Grimm than a man... and she's okay with it. We are all monsters after all, aren't we...? She did find solace in the fact that at least she's gunning for the right monsters this time though.
  • Bio: Born in Atlas, Ada Cahan Koller was once an idealistic little girl who strived to make the world a better place. Although raised in tough conditions - with a sickly little brother and a drug addict of a father - she had not given up at all through her four-year-education at Beacon, coming out of there as a peerless student recognized for her immense ability with an axe. Her return home after the graduation was met with a nasty surprise however.
    • "...I saw fire. Lots of it. It was my house... I have heard my sister. She was screaming. Agony. Yes, that was agony. She was still inside. I couldn't dream of saving her, I... froze. My mother lied covered in stab wounds not too far away from the burning ruin. By her lied my father. He was still alive. Clearly about to die due to OD'ing... Dust. Fire Dust. Made sense... He just stared at me. His eyes were like a fish out of water. He reached out to me... and my axe went swinging. At first I screamed, cried... but the longer I hacked at him the funnier all this was becoming to me. I started laughing when his eyeball went pop... and I never stopped laughing since."
    • She left the axe embedded in her father's body to... go nowhere, really. With her sense of sanity briefly shattered and no real place to turn to she slowly shuffled into the underworld where there was a need for muscle. "The Laughing One". That's how they called her. She terrified the whole Atlesian underworld and slowly built her position from a nobody to an urban legend more akin to a boogeyman than an actual person.
    • As she calmed down she started looking for some new purpose in her life. She had heard of a group calling themselves Shuriken, far away in Coastal Vacuo. The paramilitaristic group funded by local rightwing politicians, it did things varying from crashing political speeches to murdering undesirables. She was involved in a couple of anti-Faunus activities. It never got personal. She was just happy to actually do something worthwhile rather than kill random people as she did back in Atlesian underworld.
    • But even that grew tiring to her. After rage, after callousness came this odd nagging feeling... guilt. The need to repent. She left Shuriken a couple of years before its founders were exposed and incarcerated alongside remaining members of her old group. Again with no purpose she focused on finding one. Through her mid-to-late 30's she wandered about Remnant, splattering both men and Grimm across walls she even considered cutting her life short to try and reconcile with her family... then she had heard - after roughing up some local criminal figures - of this secret project Valoran government was making. Special Hunter ops, only the best of Beacon allowed.
    • She wasted no time and applied immediately.

Lo and behold, my thinly veiled Mick Foley expy

  • Name: Mike Forger/Charlie Thistle/Mason/Brother Mercy (One man, four personalities)
  • Codename: Red Badger/Onyx Boar/Brown Rat/Rainbow Sloth
  • Gender: Male all across the board
  • Age: 35 all around
  • Birthday: Finem 7th in all four cases
  • Race: Human (all four of them)
  • Appearance: Mike, Charlie Thistle, Mason, Brother Mercy
  • Weapons and Equipment: Each of Mike's personalities wields a different weapon, though Mike himself has been known to wield each of the three at some point in time.
    • Cactus: Wielded by Charlie Thistle, this baseball bat is wrapped in a seemingly endless amount of barbed wire, which he frequently makes use of in combat.
    • Sanity: Mason's weapon of choice, this fist mounted shotgun fires a hail of thumbtacks everytime the trigger on Mason's knuckles collide with an opponent. This weapon has been known to backfire frequently.
    • Love: Brother Mercy wields a rather interesting weapon. A tie-dye glove that excretes hallucinogenic chemicals that only take effect when swallowed. So Brother Mercy tends to shove the glove down people's throats until they're forced to ingest the chemicals. The hallucinations tend to be harmless for the most part, usually leaving the victim feeling rather loopy and seeing all sorts of exciting colours before passing out after prolonged exposure.
  • Semblance: Hardcore- When Mike uses his semblance, he gains complete control over his blood coagulants and pain receptors. However, each personality uses these effects in different ways. Mike uses it to simply dull the pain of injuries and to keep himself from bleeding to death. Charlie Thistle prefers to let himself bleed as much as possible, helping him stay fairly frenzied in combat and terrifying his enemies as he grins at them despite bleeding all over. Mason tends to simply make himself immune to pain. Brother Mercy just likes to keep himself from bleeding.
  • Expertise: The ability to dish out and take copious amounts of damage in close quarters as well as complete unpredictability.
  • Personalities:
    • Mike Forger: A dedicated family man, Mike is a pretty laid back and friendly guy as long as none of his alternate personalities have taken over. Despite having a reputation as one of the most brutal Hunters of his generation, Mike's main focus in life is making sure that his wife and kids have food on the table and a roof over their heads and will always prioritize their well-being over his own when it comes to taking missions. As for his alter-egos, well they need to be described on their own.
    • Charlie Thistle: Charlie is the reason that Mike has become infamous for being a brutal fighter, he simply refuses to leave any foe unmaimed and seems to take a perverse joy in causing them pain. For the most part, Charlie shares much of Mike's personality, only that Charlie has an intense lust for violence and believes that the best way to take care of Mike's family is to brutalize whoever might threaten them. Has a tendency to come out when Mike's family is directly threatened or when Mike is in real danger.
    • Mason: Quite literally, Mason is Mike's crazy side. After the realities of life as a Hunter caught up with him, Mike went a little nuts. This aspect of Mike's psyche will undertake any risk because Mason knows no fear and thrives off of the pain he endures, seeing it as a motivation to keep on fighting for those he cares for.
    • Brother Mercy: And Now For Something Completely Different. Brother Mercy is, by far, Mike's oldest alternate personality. Mike's idea of a cooler, more ideal version of himself, Brother Mercy is a goofy fun-loving guy who fancies himself a ladies man and is all too fond of the old saying "Make Love, then War". Unlike all of Mike's alternate personalities, Brother Mercy is completely unaware of Mike's status as a married father of two and frequently hits on any lady he deems attractive. This particular personality of Mike's tends to appear spontaneously, much to Mike's chagrin.
  • Bio: Cheesy and cliched as it might sound, Mike wanted to be a Hunter ever since he was a kid, seeing them as the coolest of the cool and baddest of the bad. So as he grew up, Mike spent a lot of time emulating his heroes, eventually creating a persona known as Brother Mercy which became Mike's very first alternate personality when he first shipped off to Beacon. A few years post-grad, Mike ended up settling down and having a family. It was during the next few years that someone made the mistake of threatening Mike's kids. This lead to Charlie Thistle coming into existence and beating the fella who threatened his kids to a bloody pulp. Armed with this second bloodthirsty personality, Mike got back into the field and returned to his duties as a Hunter. After returning home from an incredibly long mission, Mike's third and final personality formed when his kids didn't recognize his face after such a long absence, driving him temporarily insane. With his three volatile personalities at his disposal, Mike now fights to keep his family's quality of life high and protect those who can't protect themselves.

As I've said, no, not the same.

It's similar, but the tech isn't perfected. Things are faulty, malfunction, untested, grungy. Some techs might not have been discovered yet. More things are illegal, but our characters have access from the government to certain untested luxuries.

  • Name: Veronica Penelton.
  • Codename: Voilet Robin
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: 21
  • Birthday: Umbra 17th
  • Race: Dragon Faunus
  • Appearance: So I'm petite, nothing wrong with that. Not featured a pair of very large wings that make up most of her body weight
  • Weapons and Equipment:
    • Body: Being a dragon faunus her own body is a weapon. Claws, teeth, tail, and wings, all of her limbs are capable of delivering powerful blows and ripping flesh. She also has a concussive breath attack, that like any other dragon, drains her aura rather quickly.
    • Poison: Her own claws are capable of secreting a debilitating poison that in small doses slows her opponents bodily functions, and can kill in large doses. She often collects the poison in vials which carries around with her.
    • Vials: In addtion to her own poison she carries a sleep inducing drug and a hallucinogen. She also carries fire, Ice, and lightning dust with her. She has up to six vials on her at any given time.
    • Longinus: Her spear, a weapon spefically made to suit her. It can seperate into a pair of chained blades that allow Veronica to fight at range. But its truly unique feature is its ability to carry up to three vials of poison in the blade and inject it into her enemies. She can also switch out the poison for Dust to give it an elemental affinity.
  • Semblance: Dragon Breath With her Semblance activated she's capable of changing the “Element” of her concussive breath attack to anything she's consumed. This includes things like Dust and her poisons. While she is resistant to the substances, other than her own poison she is only resistant. Overuse of her Semblance can have adverse affects to say the least.
  • Expertise: Trapper. As as a Grimm's body disappears whenever its killed its almost impossible to study them in controlled environments that's where Veronica comes in. She's an expert in taking Grimm alive to be studied. But if need be, she's capable of going out with a team of hunters and assisting in eliminating dangerous Grimm. In this situation her skills can be put to use debilitating the Grimm and causing damage that it can't guard against. But her skills don't just extend to Grimm...
  • Personality: Veronica is a kind, caring, sweet girl to most people. But if she takes a liking to you, oh boy. She likes to ruthlessly tease those she likes. Though she's playful she can go a bit far sometimes with mean jokes. She's not quick to anger, but when she does ,unlike others, this doesn't manifest in yelling or outright violence, but her taking an utterly sadistic approach towards the other person. This makes it a little hard to tell when she does or doesn't like a person but those that know her can.
  • Bio: All throughout her childhood Veronica was treated differently. She was not just a Faunus but a pureblooded dragon Faunus. If other kids weren't morbidly curious they were scared of her. She was almost never bullied but she was often avoided. She had a few friends though, that was until peer pressure drove them off. But she found solace in her studies, specifically that of Grimm. They fascinated her, though she couldn't study them up close like government scientist she had her books.
  • It wasn't really until she got to Beacon that she started being able to make real lasting friends. She was very popular once she came out of her shell but still selective of those she got really close to. Her old team will always have places in her heart, and be held above the crowds of others.
  • Now with her graduation she had struck out on her own, taking contracts from the government(and whoever paid her enough) to capture Grimm for them. Eventually the government decided that her skill set was to valuable for anyone else to use, and the Queen offered her a job that paid more than any sleazy guy in a suit.

EDIT:Tweeked her personality just a Teensy bit.

Going to put up something fairly blank right more to try and reserve a spot while I await some answers through PMs.... given that there are already two dragons, and both are similar to what I wanted to do with mine, it looks like I am once again....

  • Name: Yukimura Kasumi
  • Codename: White Wolf
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: 21
  • Birthday:
  • Race: Faunus
  • Appearance: I am just going to say the appearance runs in the pack, like Lacie's art too much...
  • Weapons and Equipment: Her weapon is a suitcase sized laptop, she is not a combatant in the normal sense of the word, if she is ever pushed into combat expect her to improvise by stealing enemy gear.
    • A set of remote jacks to hand out to any teammates before a mission, plug these in and the hacker can get to work disregarding physical location.
    • Beyond the obvious laptop for the hacker, she has a fair amount of government developed experimental cyberware, the girl views her body as her own and is first in line to test any thing that improves it.
      • Expert System Co-Processor: Basicly, this makes electronics second nature, she does not have a man machine interface on account of them not existing yet, but this fancy computer in her head gives her an intricate understanding of code.
      • Implanted Armour: As she does not exactly sit on the front-line much, she has no use for a dedicated suit of the stuff, but you can't always choose your engagements, this is for when those situations happen.
      • Various cosmetic mods: Its not... all work and no play with her, but this kind of stuff is not really that important.
    • Some kind of car, I am honestly considering waiting until we start to fill this one in if it is okay though? I want a vehicle that.... fits, if were mostly operating in small groups this would be a high powered sports car, if it is large groups it would be an electronics van.
  • Semblance: Ghost in the Machine, Kasumi can temporarily "Possess" any singular machine, this is not hacking, it works even on things without electronics, however some machines are harder to possess then others, and any one using the machine manually is pretty damn hard to fight.
  • Expertise: Hacking/Driving/Communications, Basically she sits in a car/van/whatever we got, and organizes what is going on over the radio, does any kind of hacking that might be needed, and then when it is time to bail is second to none at making sure the getaway vehicle does not wrap itself around an electrical pole.
  • Personality: A bit more energetic, Fairly emotional, and a bit of a rebel, Is a bit shy on occasion, but is more then capable of preforming her job over the radio.
  • Bio: .... I actually have one but I am having massive issues wording it. :/
