‘eh, I guess that computer animated MTV Spiderman series counts as well“
That thing was messed up, but cool as hell imo.
I like how Miles' room/art studio. Wonder if it has other eater eggs https://twitter.com/HassanOE/status/1004367762901397504?s=19 https://twitter.com/KingImpulse/status/1004383524986785793?s=19
35 year old white man.Eh, I really liked the idea behind the Spider-Gwen in Ultimate Spider-Man, with her using gadgets for Spider powers. But I do agree that not much is really done with her character in official medium.
Hey, they could have MJ and Annie. Or Mayday. Or Kaine. Or any of the many Spider-heroes from the Spider-verse comics. There were some really good ones.
After watching this trailer its safe for me to say that this would totally be the worst Sony Picture Animated film ever. From the very stylistic cgi that brings to mind the one of the best Spiderman video games (Ultimate Spider-Man) and Wind Waker to the master apprentice relationship betweenn Peter and Miles in the trailer to the number of villains the character will take on in some breath taking fight sequence to the slim possibility that this film could be an unofficial continuation to the Raimi films given how Peter Parker in this film slightly resembles his Mc Guire counterpart; all of these reasons are why it would be a bad movie. Seriously, base on this trailer, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller fucking ruined Spider-Man with this side gaiden film that is meant to be an awesome tribute to the character mythos presented in a unique light.
EDIT: I think may I forgotten to pothole my comment.

.... and I would reserve my opinion until the film actually comes out.
Sad thing is you kind of have to pothole it because of how some comic fans be reacting.
x2 NEVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER!
That is kind of why I intentionally left that out to see if people will understand the context of the comment rather than content since this site is notorious for relying on links of tropes to present context to comments, which I think is pathetic . . . I made myself sad.
But suffice to say almost everybody are well aware of the joke, so I am glad to know that people are able to read in between the lines and understand the context of a comment.

IT LOOK SO PRETTY!!!
Seriously though, this looks like a fun Spider-Man flick. The stuff between Miles and his dad was funny, having Peter as a washed-up mentor is a unique idea, and it doesn't look like any other animated film out there right now.
Also, that demonic figure chasing Spidey throughout the trailer looks similar to the 2099 incarnation of the Hobgoblin from Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. Apparently, it's supposed to be the Green Goblin, but I can dream of my Miguel O'Hara cameo.

It’s interesting that it’s named after Spider-Verse, but with the exception of Gwen being there seems to be more a loose adaptation of Spider-Men.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Gwen x Miles will happen I'm calling it now.
Mileena MadnessAll we need now is Mayday and Ben Reilly's Scarlet Spider joining in and this becomes my dream crossover.

Other than the webbing on Miles' suit not being red, the only thing that I don't like is the surprising lack of Ganke in this movie.
Okay I love Miles' father.
Dude actually made his son tell him he loves him in front of the entire student body, damn that's cruel.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."So why does Peter seem so much older than Miles in this movie? Aren't they usually depicted as close in age?
I figure one of them ended up in the other's dimension. Either Miles went to a dimension where Peter is older, or Peter went to a dimension that had Miles, which seems more likely to me.
@Lionheart 0 Right, Prowler, that was his name. It'll be a pity if it's not Hobie Brown, though. Last I saw, he was a nice character from Spider-Man's comics. Always hoped to see him in one of these adaptations.

The Peter in this movie is supposed to be a much more experienced and seasoned version of Parker. In the Ultimate Universe the age Gap between Peter and Miles is about 3 years and the difference between Miles and 616 Peter is about 12 or more years.

Well Prowler not being Aaron Davis sort of defeats the purpose of having him there though
Also from what I understand the Peter of Miles's universe has been Spidey for a very long time and is basically making Miles the Robin to his Batman after he spider senses that he is also spider powered.

Yeah, true... I guess I'll have to hope for a next time.
I hope Pete's marrried to MJ.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Going by the second Peter being bigger and wearing pants I'm gonna say he's from an AU
35 year old white man.
You know, it's nice to see an adult Peter in animation again.
Not since Spider Man Unlimited of all things have we had a Peter who isn't a teenager in animation.
eh, I guess that computer animated MTV Spiderman series counts as well.
I wouldn't mind that, though I'm kinda on the fence on Spinnerette's costume...and name for that matter, but MJ needs some good press again.
