Well, we've got ~Willbyr, ~Galacton, The Unsquished and myself approving of the sandbox. Once you move the description over, the rule is that examples belong in the subtropes, so deleting examples that belong in the subtropes is following policy. (The examples were already put in the different YKTTWs, right?)
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Yeah, the examples that are currently in Main.Implausible Fencing Powers were already distributed through the various subtrope YKTTW threads that have since been launched.
Since Implausible Fencing Powers is a supertrope rather than simply an index, my plan was to double-check the examples on the page and make sure they don't belong on any of the subtropes, then keep them in Implausible Fencing Powers only if they fit that definition but not any of the individual subtropes. I expect this to mostly be examples that have more than one of the subtropes in a single example (eg, someone using a BFS to spam a Sword Beam that pierces a force field and then strikes its targets with ludicrous accuracy), but there's probably some in there that don't fit any of the subtropes but still count as Implausible Fencing Powers.

Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.I've sorted all the examples on Main.Implausible Fencing Powers into Sandbox.Implausible Fencing Powers. When in doubt, I cut it, including zero context examples where I wasn't familiar with the work. There are still quite a few examples that boil down to "this series has this trope" though (they were originally "type x, y, and z" examples and I removed the type labels), so if anyone can expand on those, I'd appreciate it. Otherwise I'll give it a few days and swap the sandbox into the main article.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Whoops, forgot about this. Just made the swap.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien. What remains to be done now?
Only thing that's left is sorting wicks to Implausible Fencing Powers toward the various subtropes that it was broken into, if appropriate.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Hey, this is still a thing. I've gone through and fixed wicks for A through D. Started with over 750 wicks, now it's down to just 710 (and that's not counting the ones I commented out for being a Zero Context Example). Most of the bad ones were actually Parrying Bullets, with the second most popular misuse being for Master Swordsman.
Going to keep working on this when I can, but it'll probably be a slow-and-steady sort of thing.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Finished E-H and we're down to 668 wicks.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Finished I-K and down to 643 wicks.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Done with L-N and down to 608 wicks.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Done with O-R and down to 593 wicks.

Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.~Native Jovian: How far is this now?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanHaven't done anything with it since the last time I posted, sadly. Changes positions at work so I've had a lot less free time to work on this sort of thing.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Hollering for a "Pending Final Decision" now...
Isn't cleaning up wicks the only thing left to do? I skimmed the thread and it looks like most of the hard stuff has already been taken care of.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Yes, but it seems that since the last count the number of wicks increased by 54 to 647.

Bump. I'd really like some confirmation before I switch out the sandbox and delete most of the examples for Implausible Fencing Powers, given how enormous a change it is.
