Alright I think I'm gonna cancel my Nintendo online subscription. With what few games I have that I can play online with, they all been terrible for me. Whether I am playing wireless or wired, I get nothing but lag fests with Mario Kart 8 being the only exception. I ain't gonna be paying for shitty online service.

Nintendo Switch Lite confirmed!
Pros:
- $100 cheaper!
- D-Pad!
- Colorful!
- Slightly better battery life!
- No pesky kickstand!
- Way lighter!
Cons:
- Joy-Cons can't come off.
- No HD Rumble.
- Can't play on TV.
Pokémon Sword and Shield edition confirmed for later!

You forgot smaller screen. Lite screen is 5.5 inches, while the original is 6.2 inches.
In any case, while I can see where there might be a market for this, I'm not in it. I just use my Switch in console mode, where I don't have to squint at a screen or worry about battery life.

As with the 2DS, it seems to exist solely as a cheaper alternative for people who really just want to play Pokémon.
Switch Lite also means games like Super Mario Party are out of the question since they do only docked mode.

Just as a heads up, the Switch Lite will launch alongside the Link's Awakening remake and the Ni No Kuni 1 port.

That Sword and Shield bundle version looks fantastic. If it didn't have the Legendary decals on it I'd be all over that version. As it stands this is basically the revision I've been waiting for before taking the plunge. (I don't think I'll be taking it into outer space though, haha)

Hrm. I'm torn.
On one hand, 99% of my gaming is handheld anyway. Even at home, I don't have the opportunity to play on the big screen. My only concern (other than not having the ability to host Smash Bros parties) is that the hardware might be weaker... I don't know what will qualify for "Handheld Capable" down the line.
But more portable, better battery, and cheaper all do sound wonderful.

I don’t mind hand held, but I prefer playing on a screen.
I’ve found myself not able to play certain games regularly because I don’t always have control of the Tv due to this preference in fact, even though I could have done off Tv play with both the Wii U and the switch.
So this one isn’t for me.
