He absolutely has that going on. He's animated like he's trying to be showy over being effective. Which has always been the Dan thing. He's using what little he learned from Gouken and trying to make it look flashy.

I actually had the theory that, despite being inferior to other characters in universe, Dan is actually improving because he's still training (even if improperly). Like, it's an in universe explanation for his greater out of universe viability.

A good analysis on Dan. Like other characters on SFV that has shown growth, Dan growht to a viable fighter is that he learned to weaponize on what he excels, his taunts.

But even if he became a good character, it doesn't change the premise of the character (as a joke), as he still is his worst enemy, evidenced in the fact that his taunts fills his opponent Vtrigger taunt, and basically giving them the tools to defeat him.

That seems to be pretty obvious given Dan's gimmick

So I couldn't find Cyclops skin in Fortnite & decided to uninstall it since I couldn't fulfill my MVC team.

Still don't understand the hate behind the game but I only really played for a couple of hours at most.

The winter update stream had an Oro teaser at the very end of it, wouldn't be surprised if a similar Akira teaser is at the end of this one. Everybody act surprised when Daigo shows up in it as well.

I'm still anxiously awaiting that last character. I don't care if it's a SF veteran, a new character or a crossover rep. I just want to know who they are.

I shouldn't really care too much since I don't play the game all that much but why are they taking this long to reveal the last character?

It's not like it's gonna be Asura, CapCom, or anything like that. Although, I will genuinely surprise if it's a 3rd party guest character.

Probably cause they'll be a hint on what the next project is.

Like if its Ryo or Terry, Capcom "Really Street Fighter, Rival Schools and Final Fight' vs SNK 'King of Fighters' is in the works

Street Fighter never had a guest fighter in their mainline entries. Maybe the fifth character is one of those.

I too have been wondering about KOF. Like, if one of the trailers for KOF XIV turns out to be a Street Fighter character and then - surprise! - Street Fighter unveils a KOF character as their final one.

That's the thing I hope for most. That it's a guest character that gets to be integrated as if they were a natural part of the Street Fighter world. I think Kyo, Iori, Terry, Geese and Rock are all fair guesses for an SNK rep.

However, a flat out new character, or a character from a less connected Capcom series, are equally possible, I feel. Neo Shadaloo still needs more of a hook in my opinion. Power Stome, Darkstalkers or Red Earth could easily be repped in Street Fighter.

It's all up in the air, really.

For the longest time i thought the fifth sloth was Skullomania but i think he deconfirmed. I do think an EX character isn't out of the running tho but the most popular one isn't super likely.

My other options are:

• Third party guest, my best bet would be Terry Bogard or Kyo Kusanagi.
• Morrigan. Sure she is also a skin but she is popular enough to maybe just jump shit and abandon dalkstalkers lol.
• A SFVI character as some sort of Sequel Hook. Would be lame but not impossible.

like Ryo showing up in his Invincible Dragon/ Mr Karate persona instead of his Butt-Monkey joke character cause Terry and Kyo are around in a trailer just ruining the other Shotos day would be awesome

It turns out Go Hibiki was Takuma in disguise, and he didn't die he just ditched his kid to go to a different series.

The funny thing about Dan is he started as somewhat serious character that became more of a joke.

but SFV Dan has so much Ryo in his DNA on purpose I can't see them not having the Brick Joke be Ryo shows up and Dan's like the first guy he ruins...

Now if we're talking about Disappointing safe choices... Violent Ken or Oni

On one hand if it was just another Street Fighter character... why save them for Last after Akira 'aka the character that is probably the most wanted of the set'

I almost feel like it has to be guest character cause anything else wouldn't make much sense

Honestly, I never got behind the hate for Ingrid. Especially in comparison to Remy. He's the reason why for the longest time I didn't think the SF 3's cast were all that good.

The greatest of Characters! They cut Fei long out of the movie for Sawada... aka when they pretty much had EVERYBODY they could stuff into the movie in there

It's not exactly original but having a little brother significantly taller than the older brother must be amusing. Guile is shockingly small for a fictional American character. That being said, Sawada would interesting choice. Combining both of his SNSM moveset & his own does sound very interesting. I'm just going to assume that he had Rekkas like Fei Long did. I'm just not sure how people would react to another blond caucasian character. Better keep that mask on.

I would love to see Black Widow but I doubt people would be ok with her. Even she is a 6'6 woman that could have grappling moveset, could've sworn she was 6'7, she just doesn't live up to the mysterious lure that people got hyped up for.

Huh, Sawada was named after his actor, Kenya Sawada, who also cameoed as Fei Long in one of the games based on the movie. Neat!

Anyone recognize the song in the countdown? Sounds like it could be a theme for Oro...

  • Oro has a lot of his abilities from III, like his double jump and his special "throw a guy around with just one arm" technique.

• Epic Apparel Collection collaboration featuring musician (and crazy SF fan) Zedd and Street Fighter!
• Regarding Rose:
  • Her V Skills are based on tarot cards! Depending on how you play your cards (heh), they can either boost her attacks or lower her opponents' damage on her!
  • Warp Teleportation! Deadpool better take notes!
  • Soul Illusion from the Alpha series is her V-Trigger!
  • Her victory animation features a different tarot card. One of them is a Crimson Viper cameo!
  • She's coming April 19th!
