Chemus Ball

Remus laughed casually. "Hey I was pretty nervous too. Still kind of am. As wonderful as you are?"

Just before they enter the ballroom, Remus discovers something small and mechanical hidden in his scarf.

That sneaky ass. Remus thought with a grin as he tossed the tracker over his shoulder and proceeded to walk through into the ballroom with Chelsea.

Ballroom

Medus crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow, highlighting the red mark that was already forming on his face. "Well you certainly have me convinced. Truly you are the greatest poker player of our generation, or any generation for that matter." Sarcasm was dripping off every syllable.

Flowershop

Stormer then looked at what Chiharu was wearing. "You look quite nice, Miss Chiharu. Perfect for this sort of event.", he said. He then held out his hand and said, "Well, shall we get going?"

Ballroom, Now-ish

Charisse's hair was styled upwards, in something orderly yet natural◊. She had been inspecting the refreshments for a moment, but eventually went over to where Ai was.

Not pausing to look at Ai's brother's band, she went over, wrapped her arms around Ai, and gave her a kiss on the cheek. Then, she looked up.

"So this is your brother's band, huh?"

Ballroom, different area

Three of the higher ranking Royal Guardsmen were present in the room.

Sir Cassino Wojtek was currently standing near the punchbowl, sampling it from time to time. He was a rather imposing man, but his presence made one feel safe.

Sir Nils Olav was standing near one of the doors. He was the only one of them who visibly had a weapon: his sword, at his side.

Sir William Windsor was sitting near the back, intentionally as far away from the speakers as possible. He could not seem to be enjoying this any less.

Both Sir Olav and Sir Wojtek had plates of metal visible on their bodies. Olav had a disc on his back, Wojtek had thick metal plates on each of his limbs. Their purpose was not immediately apparent.

It was clear, however, that they were used as security. Other, lower-ranking Guardsmen, were patrolling the area outside.

Ball

Rufus put one hand on Silvia's shoulder for her comfort. For his own comfort, he wrapped his hand around the hilt of Sanguinus Aspernor. Arcana, Cumuluviathans◊, the White Fang, the Frightful Four, that Omega thing he heard about, Grog himself, he was damn well ready for anything, up to and including actual social interaction.

"I'll be sure to send her your way if I see her," He rumbled, "Are you okay for now?"

Ballroom

Ieria smiled at Medus, returning his kiss as much as she could. Then that happened. "...I do not see how this is that big of a deal." Ieria said, trying not to laugh at Alice.

Fran

"You shouldn't have eaten so much sugar, damn it. You're worse than Barty sometimes and it drives me crazy how." She said with a sigh as she set the girl down and placed a hand on her head.

Ballroom

"Like Ah said, ain't no skin off o' mah nose. But Ah gotta say, just cuz Ah hated dat shark didn't mean Ah wanted her dead." Noa frowned. That was the closest she ever got to expressing any kind of positive attitude about Feb. Perhaps it should be left at that.

With one last glare at Ai, Noa was about to spend her night at the drinks table when she noticed the snake couple and Alice giving each other the stink eye. Or rather, some kind of exchange that intrigued her. Shit, might as well take a listen.

That, and a jug of whatever the fuck was on that table, she was parched!

Dance

Cyanea arrived a little after most. She hadn't gotten an outfit from Alexia's wardrobe, instead had one mailed in. The blue cheongsam was a new outfit◊ for her, but it fit well and was embroidered in a lighter blue with several crescent moons and stars. She were arm length opera gloves and black stockings under the outfit into a pair of slippers. Her hair was in the usual bun, but with matching hair chopsticks and unlike usual, she wore her glasses. They were half moon spectacles and had a dark blue frame. There was very light make up as well, eye make, and some light lip gloss. She approached walking lightly as normal so she didn't really think anyone would notice her.

Duel with Jack

Cyanea hadn't changed, still in her skirt, top and tights. She put her shoes back on though and had a pair of blue gloves that had some padding on the knuckles as well as her weapon at her side,

"Fine, I'm glad you agreed. I think this will help clear things up a little between the two of us."

Ballroom

As Ai returned the favor to Charisse, she saw Noa glaring at her out of the corner of her eye. She ignored it and let go of Charisse.

"Huh," said Norman, giving Charisse a quick lookover and deciding that she was in fact hot, "I'll take that as a yes. You done good, kid." He gestured to ruffle Ai's hair, then realized that would be the worst thing to do when she spent so much time earlier gussying up.

"We'll be your evening entertainment," said Fang. He bowed politely. "Thanks for taking care of my little sister. I hope she's not too much of a handful for you."

Ayers nodded to Hope, then stepped behind Jack and went for a hug from behind. "Hey y—fuck." Ayers's arm again caught in his shirt halfway to wrapping around Jack. "Fuckin—hrgh—hwut—okay." Ayers finally straightened his sleeve out and finished the hug. "Got a corsage fer y'all too." He brought the flower up to Jack. "Hold yer arm out so's I can put it on, y'all."

Ball

"I'll leave you to it then," said he and broke off from her with an encouraging pat/smack on the back.

"Glllen," he drawled as he approached the northern warrior, "I may be biased, but excellent choice of colors."

Ball

Jack stared at Ayers, finding the whole thing hilarious. He held out his hand, "Thanks...But that's a rose." He said.

Duel

"Nothing aolves problems like a goid fight." Jack shot a harpoon into the base of the ax, anchoring it to his gauntlet. "So...You want to start or should I?"

"Thank you kindly. Compliment appreciated." Hope smiled back at Glen, watching other people walking in. All of them looked mighty fine.

...as long as I remain inconspicuous, I suppose.

She did notice Ieria around Feb's memorial and was about to go there with a frown, but Medus, Alice and Jack beat her to that. Perhaps that's for the better: the three of them were probably better at comforting people than she was. Then however Ayers demonstrated what are the disadvantages of having a robo-limb. She couldn't help but chuckle a little, but at the same time, she grew a little restless.

...where was Sophie? Was she wearing the dress Tori picked up? Did her and Yun's mission succeedeed and she would appear in something more modest instead.

I'm gonna freak out regardless, most likely.

Ballroom

"If anything, I'm too much of a handful for her." Charisse replied, standing up straight (she had bent over a bit to give Ai the smooch).

She moved behind Ai and hugged her again. "Well, what kind of music do you guys play then?"

Say Yes to the Dress

Sophie walked into the ballroom, nervously looking around. She was wearing a different purple dress◊ than the one Tori had picked out, but it was still tight and extravagant and way too pretty for Sophie. Also, her hair was done in a way she had never done before, in a ponytail◊. Plus, she was actually wearing makeup.

Sophie looked absolutely stunning. She wanted to look pretty for her dates. She hoped she didn't totally ruin herself. As she walked past, looking for her boyfriend and girlfriend. She spotted Ieria, but frowned then kept on walking past.

Ball

Yun had a smile on his face when he spotted Sophie, and as he waved to her, it grew wider as he took in her appearance.

"Evening. You look amazing."

No Dress Is Too Pretty For Sophie

And there she is. Seems like Tori decided to go for a middle-of-the-road approach.

...and I don't know what to say without lapsing into cheesy poetics, that's how ravishing she is. Oh, there I go.

"..."amazing" is probably an understatement, but I don't think I can find any better word here." Hope chimed in alongside Yun, smiling. "You're definitely the most beautfiul-looking out of us three, that much I can say."

Sophie blushed madly, bring her hands to her cheeks trying to cover it. "G-guys...stop saying stuff like that...it's so embarrassing..."

Ball

"Well I'll be damned if it's not true." Hope grinned in response to Sophie's blush. "You look ravishing, Sophie."

...ah dammit, I just had to go and say it.

Uh Oh Spaghetti O's

This would be the point where Hope might notice something was a little off about Sophie. Was it possible that Sophie came to the ball a little...buzzed? She giggled and got close to Yun and Hope, whispering in their ears. "....Have you guys ever done it in a royal castle?~"

In This Corner

Cyanea smiled as she unfolded her halberd,

"Please, ladies first."

She switched into an attack position and waited for him to go.

Dance

Scroll out Cyanea started snapping pictures, cause hell, even if there was a professional, it wasn't real. Memories should look real, not some posed thing against a non-clashing background.

Uh-Oh

...wait a minute.

Oh no. Nonononono...

Blushing wildly at Sophie's whispered question, Hope had noticeable troubles in keeping her composure. "S-sophie..." She stammered quietly, quiet enough that only Yun could hear them. "...were y-you drinking before coming in here?"

...We need to cut her off the booze.

"O-only a little bit...Ehehe. It just helps me calm down, and have fuuun. WOOOOOO!" Sophie yelled out the last part, giggling madly before turning back to Hope. "W-Where's the queen? I wanna picture!"

Booze Is Bad For You

"...you know, I think we shouldn't bother the Queen now. Maybe later. Much later." Hope responded, wincing a little.

Preferably when you're sober.

"Also, promise not to drink anything else with alcohol in it tonight, okay?" She continued, her voice taking on a concerned tone. "It really isn't good for anyone to drink too much and, well, I might want you sober later on."

...ugh, why does it have to sound so dirty?
