I know this is an important issue but may I make the recommendation of taking a deep breath and calming down a bit. If nothing else you need to pace yourself in case things to turn out badly. Then it's going to be an endurance match, not a sprint to a conclusive result. The wheels of government bureaucracy grind slowly.
Not if Republicans have anything to say about it; we've seen their "DO IT NAO NAO NAO NAO" approach to legislation all throughout the year.
It's one thing to make a spectacle. It's another to make a difference. And he's a Filipino. He has much bigger problems to worry about than the US's Net Neutrality.
I thought it was odd that he said the vote was today, when it's still Thursday all across America.
I noticed not many people are noticing it's the day right now, not even on social media.
Pantheon server for all who click here. Freaking lost $410 and I am hunting down for a nuke to reign down.Us noticing isn't going to change how the vote plays out. It's important to keep abreast of things, but there's also no point in working ourselves into a froth until the announcements are made.
It's been fun.I can understand where you're coming from, considering I've done the same in signing those petitions into protecting Net Neutrality despite being a Filipino like you but if you're that worried about net neutrality, worry the most for our country because of Duterte's relationship with Trump.
Did...Congress actually vote yet?
Pantheon server for all who click here. Freaking lost $410 and I am hunting down for a nuke to reign down. We'll know when they do. Chill.
It's one thing to make a spectacle. It's another to make a difference.Dude, you're gonna keel over from stress over something that hasn't happened yet. Go outside.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Seriously, this is bad but with the election of a Republican it was more or less inevitable. Freaking out over it is pointless and fundamentally counterproductive.
"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnAnd this isn't over. They will have to deal with all the Lawsuits that keep piling up first.

Not to mention that despite the FCC voting to repeal NN, it's not gonna happen overnight. That gives the lawsuits time to gather up.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Where did you hear the vote was taking place today? Because I've looked to see the outcome of said vote, and everywhere I look people are saying its still coming up.
I can't tell if it's a good thing or a bad thing that they're delaying. It's good that Congress is looking through every person who's calling the FCC's bullshit but this delay might allow give the FCC enough time to go forward with their plans. I know the last part sounds unlikely but politics are very unpredictable.

Pantheon server for all who click here. Freaking lost $410 and I am hunting down for a nuke to reign down.the deadline for the vote is 60 days after the decision in question in the Register IIRC, and it might be more beneficial to wait until Jones' is seated in first before voting.
We can only wait a month? What an anxious way to end a year
Pantheon server for all who click here. Freaking lost $410 and I am hunting down for a nuke to reign down.Suddenly I picture the meetings going down in the FCC ending up something like this.
Old You Tube memes aside, given the issues of preventing the government shutdown (which was just barely put off by a couple of months), you have to wonder if voting on the FCC's ruling might get delayed again...and again...and again.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)If the Reps are suddenly scared of being seen passing this orphan, they might very well try to wait until the media is paying attention to something else.
So, the solution is to keep attention on it?
Hopefully I'll feel confident to change my avatar off this scumbag soon. Apologies to any scumbags I insulted.I'm not sure I buy it, they had no problem passing a massively unpopular tax bill (and tried to pass a massively unpopular health-bill before that). I really don't think the Republicans care that much about being associated with those things, they're in power and they want to get as much done as possible before they're kicked out again.

"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnSo an internal document got released. Turns out that Pai knew that the whole "Net Neutrality was an Obama plot to put extremely heavy regulation on the internet" was a flat out lie. Either that or he was too stupid to read the actual report when it was offered to him. What actually happened was that Obama's comments on the matter were weighted exactly the same as everyone else's. So who was the mastermind behind the FCC rules on Net Neutrality in 2015? Tom Wheeler as the chairman of the FCC. (Also, a little bit Verizon because they wouldn't stop challenging the lighter restrictions in court.)
So add more to the growing pile of evidence that Pai lied and cheated his way through the whole process and opened himself and the FCC up to the possibility of a huge lawsuit.
Oh, and the document that I linked that shows this? It was commissioned by Senate Republicans.

Not Three Laws compliant.Just have towait after the New Year when everyone's mindset is back on track
Pantheon server for all who click here. Freaking lost $410 and I am hunting down for a nuke to reign down. But the tax bill is worth hundreds of billions to their donors. The NN repeal, while potentially lucrative to the ISP's, doesn't put quite as much money on the table.
IT'S THE DAY
