Disney's Star vs. the Forces of Evil

Moon is seriously one of my favorite characters in this show.

I've had an odd history with this show: I saw the first season as it came out, and thought it was OK, but didn't keep track of it when it started up again. I caught season two once it was on Hulu, and thought it was a decent improvement, but didn't watch season three until it was also on Hulu because I didn't have Disney XD anymore. Then I saw season three last week, and liked that so much I've decided I'll get an Amazon video subscription for season four

So hello, everyone. I've probably met most of you in other threads.

Why is it on Amazon? Isnt it on Disney's own streaming service?

Not Amazon Prime Video, I mean buying the episodes permanently on Amazon Video.

The Disney XD streaming app only works if you can already watch the network on cable, and Disney standalone streaming service isn't supposed to come out until fall of 2019.

Bad news: Star still doesn't have her wand and Season 4 isn't coming until 2019.

Good news: The video's thumbnail gives it away, but it looks like Star won't be needing that wand anyway...

(I wonder if it's a coincidence that Star's status reminds me of another certain blonde hero who learns to channel power from within instead of from a weapon of his...)

Gotta say, I don't particularly sympathize with that Mewman dungeon master.

So far it doesn't sound like Globgor is being particularly evil now that he's been released. I Knew It!.

Sounds like the years of institutionalized racism towards the Monsters they've treated poorly now having their king return and the kingdom given to Eclipsa has made the Mewmans crybabies about how good things were in the good ol'days when they could kill monsters when they wanted.

I wonder if we'll ever get to see Star swordfight. We know she can, and now she's wandless.

I'm so glad to hear that Star is a prison abolitionist as well as anti-monarchist.

I am glad Globgor was confirmed not evil. I do wonder what his personality is like. Also how will they recover Queen Moon.

Abdicating to the legitimate pretender to the throne after discovering her heritage was fabricated is pretty much the exact opposite of anti-monarchism.

One can say that Star just wants to set things right after so much of her family history has been built on lies and conspiracy.

Well, they always say "no good deed goes unpunished."

Well, sometimes doing the right thing is not always the most popular thing.

That reminds me, will we be seeing Buff Frog and the other monsters returning to Mewni given the new ruler?

I heard from the panel that Solaria is Eclipsa's mama.

Solaria the Monster Carver, mother of the queen who ran off with a monster? That must've caused some family strife.

Solaria probably didn't live long enough to see that, because apparently her mother died when she was young.

Oh yeah. Still, makes me wonder what their relationship was like.
