There was still an abundance of egg-based puns and Theme Naming going on in those.
I started reading the comic with the issue Robotnik died. It was the forefront of the Penders years and it was all original material all the time.

The first 8 minutes are legally online, and thanks to that I got a good look at the map of safe worlds◊.
Guess that Sega Saturn planet didn't work out. Shame. XD
EDIT: Also noticed a Chaos Emerald in the lower-right corner with "???" next to it.

The Protomen enhanced my life.If he had just given the Saturn planet the support it needed, and the Dream planet at least six more months to cook...
It's also been noted that the writing underneath the Chaos Emerald, appears to be the same language that was seen in Sonic Forces.
I guess since Sonic is planning on staying on Earth, he probably won't be going to the other worlds on his map. Or maybe future movies will actually explore the other worlds in some kind of way, like maybe Sonic and his friends will travel across the other worlds.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!I really hope his final plan wasn't to go the sun. XD;
The Protomen enhanced my life.Oooh! That would be horrible!
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Sonic X season 3.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. In which Sonic battles an imperium of cybernetic dinosaur tree aliens.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."...dinosaur?
That season had a great original supporting character and one of the most emotional scenes I never thought I'd see in Sonic based media. As long as it's the Japanese version.
Couldn't agree more.
I assure you, I'm a completely trustworthy person.I think the Archie comics had like the Xorda or something. They made Sonic into a robot and Eggman (who was a robot at the time) into a human.
Twas weird.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!The Xorda were the tentacle monster that gene-bombed ancient Earth. The Bem were the ones that did that.
Yeah, the Japanese version did the Cosmo goodbye scene way better. Tails didn't even hesitate in the English version.
x6 — I watched Sonic X, I don't remember any dinosaurs.
Huh. I don't remember that at all.
I remember the big three-headed dragon Dark Oak and the others Fusion Danced into in the finale, though.
Yeah. Its a thing called Mover Mode that only the males can do, apparently.
I distinctly remember the Metarex were plant alien guys who could turn into plant-based kaijus whose main leaders somehow found the ability to become evil self-piloting Gundams (I swear some of them looked like Gundams) and then the last three Metarex could turn into a giant three-headed alien dragon thingamajig. (I swear that three-headed thingamajig looked like dragon heads.)
...Man, Sonic X's season three was weird, wasn't it?
It was weird and also super dark, yeah. A marauding empire of Planet Looters, many of which had really badass voices.
I actually remember them dying whenever they went dinosaur mode on their home planet & it was just sad especially when their wives would crow around them.
Also one of the more noticeable instances of Bizarre Sexual Dimorphism since the men looked like miniature T-Rex's while the women were tiny waifs.
Pretty killer theme too.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
That also assumes I knew what anything was called as a child. Aside from what was directly in the games, everything I knew came from the cartoon and comic.
