Switch uses friendcodes? That's pretty silly.

Much like I imagine a lot of people, Breath of the Wild has kept me out of any other Wii U game for a good while. Bloody wander lust, I tell ya!

Switch does use friend codes, but only one person has to type it in, the other just accepts the invitation. An improvement over the DS/3DS!

Speaking of BOTW I only went at Ganon after 85 hours. That's how long it took me to do all the main quest items (with distractions of course).

Also you can send friend requests to people whom you've recently played with or are friends with on other games, like Fire Emblem Heroes and Miitomo.

I still have one beast to go, but I have done almost 80 shrines

Not to distract from Splatoon too much, but I've been pacing myself and only finished the first dungeon and completed about...12 Shrines only.

That and I'm planning on finishing everything before fighting the final boss.

Your definition of everything may define how long it takes... all main quests? All shrines? All quests? Or god forbid, 100%!

That's a solid game regardless though. I'm letting it simmer for a while before I start over...

Meanwhile, I wonder what weapons and specials will be available in the testfire, and will loadouts be fixed like in Splatoon 1? The wait is killing me!

I'm kinda scared because I'll be on wireless connection during the first testfire. A good one though ("good" meaning LTE and being in an apartment right next to a freakin' cellsite).

Also, has anyone seen Callie yet?

I think we're gonna need to save her from some Octoling separatists.

Welp, looks like I won't be doing the testfire. Amazon hasn't restocked their supply yet and I sure as hell won't shell out my money to a scalper. Hopefully you guys who could get a Switch will enjoy the testfire. I look forward to your guys's commentary.

Sigh. Looks like I'm forced to sit this out until I get to my parents' house in 16 hours. I don't have a real router here in this apartment and it looks like connecting while tethered through my phone doesn't have the right NAT. I'll try to see what settings can be tweaked on my phone though...

The dualies are awesome! i played a couple games with those and did really well.
