Welcome to the Universal Coliseum! Bet one, watch, and sign up for entertaining battles between warriors, monsters, heroes, and even gods of different dimensions! Will you gain fame and riches in the Arena, or go home broke or even dead in a coffin?

This is a Crossover RP with GM vs Player and Pv P fights. All fights will be set up by me in an attempt to stay fair and interesting, but I will accept input for matchups if a certain one is wanted. As you win bets for matches and for defeating opponents, you get currency which can be redeemed in shops for weapons and armor and other stuff. There’s also a bar area and stands where players can just interact with each other and hang out.

Fights don't have to be lethal and you can voluntarily forfeit, but it is also possible to die in battle or kill an opponent (with player permission).

Here's the sheet:

  • Name: Their real name and a cool title/codename if they have any.

  • Franchise/Universe:

  • Appearance:

  • Age:

  • Personality:

  • Skills: Non magical/enhanced things they can do, like martial arts or motorcycle riding or stealth or mechanical knowledge. Mundane stuff like cooking is also fine.

  • Abilities: Any unique powers?

  • Items: Equipment and other things they carry around and use a lot.

  • Bio: What were they doing before they cam to the Arena, and why did they come in the first place?

  • Stats: This is for Arena betting purposes, and will be public knowledge to all players in-game. Before each fight, the stats will be shown to everyone as a rough estimate of how skilled a fighter is in each area. Each area gets a number rank of 1-5, 5 being extremely good compared to others in their universe and one being terrible or nonexistent skill.

-Strength: Base this number on physical toughness. How brawny are they? Can they take a hit and get up again? Can they keep going for a long time without getting tired?

-Magic/Mana/Chi: This is magical toughness. How magical are they, and how good are they at using it? Do they have a variety of spells/techniques or just a really strong one?

-Speed: How quick are they on their feet/in the air/underground/in water? How fast are their reflexes?

-IQ: Are they street smart, book smart, a master tactician, or just a fast thinker in general?

I'll accept up to Hyper Weight (4), and even at that rank, I will generally try to keep the character fights even so it's not a total slaughter.

Oh, and I am also accepting nominations for mooks and beasts for the players to fight in the arena when it's not Pv P.

It's not specified, so to be clear: Original Characters are not allowed, correct?

Also, what about characters who aren't really "about" combat? Like dedicated healer types and mentors/instructors?

And one last question I can think of now before I'm heading out for bed soon: Are there going to be special matches at all? Like team battles, objective matches, and boss matches?

NO OC's unless they are based off customizable videe game characters.

Healer and non-combative characters can still join, but they probably wouldn't fight in the arena. They can hang out in other areas, I guess.

And there will be special matches of that nature, like 2 on 2, or one vs a group, or other things.

Hmm, alright. One last question now that I'm back as I think this all over: What about having multiple characters? Can we have more than one, or more than one only if they're an inseparable duo/team, or just strictly limited to one?

You can have more than one. That would probably help if one of them isn't really the fighting type. I'll limit it to two for now.

To be fair, it's essentially a fictional character, just played by a wrestler. (His real name is Windham Lawrence Rotunda, for example.)

Not really... I mean, he's still technically a real person just acting. And it'll feel really odd when he's compared to other completely fictional characters.

Do you mind picking something else?

Well, in my opinion this stance would automatically disqualify all live action characters. The only real difference I see between the pro wrestlers and, say, the likes of Patrick Stewart are the medium by which they are acting.

But it's your RP, so if you say pro wrestling characters aren't allowed, so be it.

Anyway, I'm still settling on a character or two here; got one I'm pretty sure I'd like to try, but I don't think I want to bring him in alone. (Because he's not that much of a fighter, really.) I'm just torn on who the second character is gonna be.

Still thinking on that second character; current contenders are my version of the Dovakiin ala the Elder Scrolls Skyrim, and Johnny Rico ala Roughnecks Starship Troopers Chronicles. But in the meantime, here's that first character I mentioned.

  • Name: Central Officer Bradford.

  • Franchise/Universe: XCOM: Enemy Unknown & XCOM: Enemy Within.

  • Appearance: Dude knows how to rock a sweater.

  • Age: Early to mid thirties.

  • Personality: A thinker, though prone to being Wrong Genre Savvy, Bradford excels at boiling information down to important details and laying out options in a clear, concise manner; however, he's not always the best at making decisions on them once said options have been figured out. This nature also leads to a bit of a Crazy-Prepared approach, always trying to leave backup options available should they be needed. He dedicates himself to his duties, thinking primarily about the risks to those involved and whether the risks are worth the outcome.

  • Skills: Bradford is not a soldier, though he is still a military officer and presumably went through some form of military training. (Which he displays exactly once, admittedly rather kick-ass.) His skills lie primarily as an aide; in addition to what was mentioned above, Bradford knows how to manage minute and monotonous decisions and details, leaving others able to better concentrate on important decisions and the bigger picture. So while he may not be an excellent leader, he is an excellent second in command.

  • Abilities: Does rocking a sweater count?

  • Items: A large, slightly boxy pistol with tan colorings. Has reliable performance, but isn't exactly a show-stopper.

  • Bio: Bradford was assigned as Central Officer to the XCOM project under the enigmatic Commander after the Earth came under attack by alien skirmish forces. Bradford took to his role quickly, nearly naturally, and through working under the Commander and alongside Dr. Shen and Dr. Vahlen, helped the XCOM project slowly turn the tables on the aliens, even after they stepped up to full scale assaults and an attack on the XCOM headquarters directly. A rogue Human organization taking advantage of the alien invasion also tried to halt XCOM's progress, but they were rooted out and eliminated. Eventually even the aliens' mothership was destroyed, self-destructed in orbit in one soldier's last heroic sacrifice to defy the aliens. Left in the wake of the mothership's explosion was some kind of portal; initial scouting teams came back with reports of some kind of strange coliseum. With the alien threat stopped and XCOM going back to a more passive state, Bradford was reassigned to go through the portal and do a more thorough investigation of the coliseum; to see if there was any threat posed by it and the portal... Or anything to gain from it.

  • Stats:
    • Strength: 3
    • Magic: 1
    • Speed: 4
    • IQ: 4

Eh, why not?

  • Name: Scout
  • Franchise/Universe: Team Fortress 2
  • Appearance: "Grass grows, birds fly, sun shines, and brother, I hurt people."
  • Age: Around early-mid twenties
  • Personality: Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, the Scout is a fast-running scrapper with a baseball bat and a snarky 'in-your-face' attitude. He is very rude, and seems to think he can handle anything. He often acts a lot tougher than he can actually prove to be, though he's certainly not weak.
  • Skills: He can run faster than most others, and has a knack for baseball.
  • Abilities: By miraculously defying most known physics, Scout is able to boost himself further up while in mid-air, otherwise known as a "Double Jump".
  • Items: The Scattershot - a custom-made shotgun with a 6 shell clip -, and ordinary pistol, and a metal bat.
  • Bio: After the eventual downfall of the nearly non-existent company that funded Scout and the rest of his mercenary friends, Mann Co., everyone had to go off and find other means of earning pay and housing. While the others found better uses for their talents, Scout just didn't want to stop doing what he did best; fighting. So, when he caught wind of a vague arena that roped in stronger opponents than what he normally faced, Scout rushed for the chance.
  • Stats:
    • Strength: 2
    • Magic: 1
    • Speed: 5
    • IQ: 3
