Them not bringing back Earth-1 Laurel kind of sucks, especially since with the current Laurel in the future and Arrow over, they would've had no obligation to ever follow up on it.
Guggenheim said that was due to the spin-off, since Laurel-2 was already in it.

Here's a theory. What if the Reverse Flash came back and is pretending to be Nash? That way he didn't lie about being in Crisis

[up]Nash's memories of the events were restored, if it was someone else Jonn would/should have picked up on that.

[up][up] So because a version of Laurel is decades in the future they couldn't leave a regular version in the present?

It would be really interesting if the "new Wells" after this is the original Wells who was killed by Reverse Flash (that one was so different from all the other ones we saw), though I'm not sure how it would work with Barry's backstory.

Biggest issue would be Eobard I think. Spitballing, maybe not have Eobard pull the Kill and Replace instead presenting himself as a benefactor to Wells and Tess. In the confusion with the explosion he stashes them somewhere so he can groom Barry. We get another Ray situation with the ownership of STAR Labs, with the couple opting to stay out of the public eye.

She wasn't "decades in the future." She was in the present. The reason she shows up in the Backdoor Pilot is due to time travel.

Seems like it.

It took me way to long to catch on to the Mc Cullough name, and then I checked again and noted he was Evan...which is just one letter off from Eva. Nice job Flash writers.

I really love that they are giving Iris her own stuff to do, finally.

That little bit with Diggle was really emotional.

I knew The Flash would finally give a definitive, solid answer as to what's going on with the not-so-multiverse, though it's not a happy answer:

As many worlds as possible got fused into one, including histories and personalities. However, because something's gotta give when dealing with multiple (billions) versions of characters, there's a lot of versions who are effectively just gone no matter what the technicalities are. This is double true for the main characters of the series: thanks to explicitly being their Earth 1 selves (technically overwriting their Prime selves), every other version of them ceased to exist rather than fusing together.

Sad, but at least it's definitive.

However, they don't know that Earth-2 still exists (and is the setting of the Stargirl show). Or any of the other surviving universes.

Anywho, changing subjects, so... if Dr. Light is a supervillain now (sigh, if they were going to bring a villain Dr. Light in couldn't they not have used the heroic one? I liked the heroic one we had before, and Arthur Light is still just sitting there unused - that said, the preview for the next episode gives a decent explanation for that), does that mean Linda was never Dr. Light? Does it mean Linda got erased and replaced with Dr. Hoshi? - Hoshi was in his book as Dr. Light, so clearly she's been in the title for a while.

For the future, the fact that the theme going forward means they'll be reinventing earlier villains is interesting. It means characters who didn't get to have their full powerset before like The Top, Rainbow Raider (who were both mentioned by name) or Golden Glider might get another shot to really shine.

Also, yay! New Mirror Master! I didn't much care for the old one.

It was. Even though Oliver is gone, he still casts a big Shadow over the rest of the Arrowverse.

I mean, how could he not?

Who will fire boxing glove arrows now?

Sure, he only did it that one time, but despite constantly snarking Ollie before then, I think that's when I started to like Arrow...though I only found out about it after season three where it happened.

Mia, maybe? I can see Siren getting her to believe her dad did it "all the time", we might even get the cat arrow out of it too.

My favorite is the jack in the box one where you’re apparently supposed to miss, but when the enemy thinks they’re safe something comes out the side of it and punches them in the face.

Comics are so charmingly bonkers sometimes.

I’d say the arrow with a gun on it that shoot bullets, but that wasn’t actually GA, so I guess Ollie gets a pass for that completely ridiculous idea.

Starbuck is still having relationship issues it seems.

Edit: And now so is Barry....even if he doesn't know it. Geez man, your wife at least noticed when you got possessed by Bloodwork. You'd think you'd notice the same...though I guess it's not the exact same thing.

Edit 2: Also, do we have any guesses on Nash seeing Harry? Maybe he managed to somehow save himself and Jessie? Perhaps by entering the Speedforce? Maybe Jay Garrick and his wife did the same?

My god, out of all the villains they just had to bring Amunet back, didn't they? I'm sorry, Sackhoff is a great actress, but her performance in this show is just so annoying.

Makes sense. Amunet, Grodd and Thawne are really the only higher deck recurring villains they have left who aren't dead (though it's not unlikely that some once dead villains might come back Post-Crisis), and the latter two aren't easy to just throw into a plot.

I can't decide whether I'm shocked or impressed that they actually named the villain of Sue's plot Jean Loring.

Wait! I caught the name Loring, but his first name is Jean?!

Oh that's something.

Edit: Also, was it weird that Ralph was completely unable to hurt that guy? Or that he took that much damage considering his own powers.
